Chapter 61: Family

Livy knew about the new baby coming and was overjoyed for us, running out to make sure I had vitamins and plenty of fruits and veggies to eat. Sirius didn't leave the house much after that, staying to help me with Caelum so I didn't get too stressed or overwhelmed. It was a surprise when Tonks appeared from our fireplace while Caelum was napping and informed us that Death Eaters were in the department of mysteries and that Harry and some other students were there also. "I'm coming with you." Sirius said and she nodded, taking off in the flames again. Sirius went to go after her, but paused, looking back at me on the couch, holding my stomach and mouth.

"Phoebe…it's Harry…it's our godson." I nodded, pulling him into a hug and not wanting to let go. "I know…I'm just worried about you and him and the others. It's war and it's dangerous. But I want him safe as well, it's the right thing to do, we must protect him." his hands went to my stomach and he bent down, kissing it gently. "My darling baby, Daddy will be back before you know it. Keep mommy safe." he then went to Caelum's room and kissed him as well, whispering something into his hair before shutting the door. He pulled me to him, pressing his lips to mine in a deep kiss.

When we broke apart his eyes were forming tears, he was so torn by what was the right thing to do. Leave his family to protect Harry, who was our family as well. Or stay and risk losing Harry to my father's followers. We both knew what was going to happen, I would be going myself if I wasn't worried about the baby or Caelum. I let my tears fall, smiling at Sirius as I kissed him again and again. "Sirius, please be careful. Watch out for yourself and the others. If it gets too dangerous, just come back, please. Don't be cocky, don't be reckless. Just get the kids and get out, this isn't the big battle coming." I paused and pressed my ear to his chest, his heart was racing. "Sirius…I love you with everything that I am. I've loved you the moment I met you, I will always love you. Please for our family, come back to us quickly. Do not leave us. We aren't ready."

"Phoebe, I will be back before Caelum wakes from his nap, we are going to save the kids and defeat the followers that were fool enough to go after children. We are going to get them all back safe and I'll be back here with you and our son and our soon to be son or daughter. Please do not worry about it, stress isn't good for the baby. Stay here, stay safe and I'll be back. I love you so much Phoebe, this is not goodbye by a long shot." he smirked and kissed me a final time before turning and going into the flames. As soon as he was gone, I sank to my knees and cried hard, my body filled to the brim with worry. I wished I could do something, it was so annoying that I was useless.

I waited by the fire for what seemed like hours, biting my nails and chewing on my lips. Soon Caelum woke from his nap and I was sitting with him, rocking him as I tried to act happy and play with him, but my mind was filled with thoughts. Suddenly Livy came running in the room, saying that someone got through the barrier. I grabbed my wand and rushed outside, feeling my heart racing as I held Caelum close. "Livy, stay near me, if it's not a friend, take Caelum and get away, go to the Burrow if you must. Trust no one but the Weasleys or Dumbledore. Please." she nodded and was brushing against my legs as we walked outside.

We were right outside the door, it would be easy to run back inside and take cover and prepare for a fight if it wasn't someone I knew. I scanned the area, but didn't see anything or anyone. "Livy, are you sure-" "There, Miss Phoebe!" I followed her finger and froze in my tracks, seeing the figure looming toward us. "No…way…" I breathed as I stared at the bastard coming along the beach. I had my son on my hip, my wand at the ready. "Now Now…what's this?" his voice was like ice as he was about 20 feet from us. Livy was reaching for Caelum, but I was holding him tight as he was babbling.

"What do you want?" I demanded and his smile sent shivers through me. "I was just on my way to visit someone when I thought I would drop by for a visit to this place. It was the center of many plans. I was feeling the memories." his eyes were boring into mine and shifted to Caelum. "Who's that, dear Daughter." "No one to you." I snapped and fired a spell, but he blocked it easily. "Easy, don't want him to see anything…dark, would you?" I paused, glancing as Caelum, who was reaching for my wand. "Just leave. You aren't welcome here. I will send word that you are here. I can hold you off long enough for Dumbledore to get here."

The name made his eyes narrow and his voice go even colder. "You are my blood…so is the child. Your wards can't keep me out. I will do as I please." I nodded to Livy, who took Caelum and disappeared, leaving me alone with my father. "Now, that wasn't very nice. Maybe I wanted to meet my grandson. He certainly looked strong." I fired another spell off, but instead of the stupfy I shot, fireworks exploded overhead. Shit, was my magic off again because of the baby this early? He seemed surprised and his eyes landed on me again as he walked closer, making me take a step back and my hand went to my stomach instinctively. "Ahh…I see. Another one on the way. That means your magic isn't going to go as you plan."

He came closer and I stood my ground, if I was going to die, at least Caelum and Sirius would be safe. His fingers reached out and brushed against my belly, his eyes watching my every move as I sneered at him. "Get out of my home." "Your mother always told me I was welcome." "And she's dead because of you! Consider your invite revoked. Leave." I pulled back from his touch and met his eyes. "Such a power in you, you are a great creation of mine. I want you to join me. You are older now, you know this is the right path. You are meant to be by my side. The power of our history flows in your veins. As well as your children, you can raise them right. We will carve a future together."

I shook my head, telling him, "I am not your family. I am not a Riddle. I am a Black now, I will create a proper future for my children and that doesn't include you." he blinked, "Ah, I see. The Blacks. Always pureblood followers. But of course you must mean the traitor Sirius Black. The last of the Blacks." I nodded and took a step toward him. "Sirius and I and the order are going to destroy you and everything you believe in. you are going to be forgotten and dead soon. I hope you enjoyed your small return to life."

I released the heat I had been building in my body through the hand I slammed into his face, sending him flying back shouting as it burned him. "My spells may not be working as I would like, but that doesn't mean I am useless!" I shouted and ran forward, dodging a blast from his wand and hitting him with a blast of air from my roundhouse kick. Before he could recover I sent a mound of sand flying toward him, he was hit, but blew it all away with a blast of his own, making me jump back slightly. "Please work." I begged under my breath as I aimed my wand toward the house and unspoken spelled for my staff, accio staff.

Thankfully it worked and my staff shot out to me, I grabbed and swung around, preparing for the attack from him or to on the attack. He chuckled and opened his arms, "Please, show me how strong my blood flows through you." I growled and shot a spell at him, feeling my anger building, how dare he come here like he owns the place, invade my home and my life. I would end this here, too long has he lived. He blocked it with ease and I dodged the spell he shot at me and fired off another, but instead of flying toward him, it flew up in the sky useless. Geez why did my body betray me like this. He laughed and continued to send spells flying at me, making me dodge and barely have a moment to recover.

"Come now, don't act like this, I don't want to injury you or your child. That child is my blood and the future of our line. No harm should come to the three of you." it was like he actually cared, which was impossible, he was pure evil. "Fuck off, you son of a bitch." I said as I dodged another spell and got close enough to take a swing with the staff. He turned almost to smoke as he moved to dodge, gliding away with ease. "I see you still need some time. Perhaps I will visit you again, when my grandchild are both here." "I'll die before you ever see them!" I screamed and took another swing, hitting his side and he groaned and sank to the ground.

"Fine, if that's the way you want it. I will return when this child is born. Then you will get your wish and I'll kill you before I see them…then I'll take them and raise them in my vision of the future!" he laughed as he shot a spell, hitting me in the chest and it froze my body, I fell back onto the ground as he walked up, looming over me. "Play time is over my daughter. I have entertained you enough. Grow this child well, I will return when it is born, and I will take them both. You can either join them with me, or perish." his fingers ran across my stomach and I had tears in my eyes but unable to move from his spell.

He smiled and bid me farewell and vanished from my view. It took several minutes before his spell wore off and I was able to move again. I ran into the house and threw the floo powder into the fire and jumped in, shouting "The burrow." it was so fast when I tumbled out and there were many voices around me. "Livy! Caelum!" I cried out between coughs and heard crying of my son as I stood and brushed myself off, pulling him from Livy's arms. "Miss Phoebe, are you alright?" she asked, tears still streaming down her face. "Phoebe! What's happened? Livy has been raving about the Dark Lord." "It's alright. Give me a moment." I said as I let the tears pour as I hugged my son close, I would never let him out of my sight again.
