Before I get started on the story, I just want you all to know I'm only writing this story to get how I'm feeling about Striker off my chest. He can be a jerk sometimes, especially towards kids. For example, I did not tolerate how he treated LadyAnaconda's OC, Jake, who happens to be his son. He hid the truth from Jake about who the lady imp was in the picture and got mad at him for no reason when it was Blitzo who stuck his nose into his personal items. Jake was hurt and angry that his own father kept the truth from him. The lady in the picture was his mother. Even though Striker apologized, I agree with Blitzo that it was unforgivable as well as being hard on Jake and leaving him teary-eyed when kidnapped by agents 1 and 2. Sometimes, Blitzo can be right, even if it means seeing that Striker isn't always the Striker he and others trust, they decide to treat him differently, not that I blame them.
My imp-self, who is with I.M.P., is going to release her anger and hurt against Striker and so will Jake. Not to mention, Striker isn't entirely different from Blitzo since they're both uncaring, selfish, insensitive, and they take their frustrations out on other people as well as ignoring the fact they hurt everyone else's feelings. Thus, refusing to acknowledge they do anything wrong. That's the attitude of a jerk, especially if they're like Sherlock Holmes for not caring about other people's feelings. Same with people who are not nice to kids like Basil of Baker Street from The Great Mouse Detective because that's what I think Striker sounds like towards kids and that's disrespectful and rude. Striker could also be like King Triton from The Little Mermaid, Simba from The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, Tramp from Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure, etc. for the same reason. Striker is also no better than kidnappers, especially the ones who kidnap someone else's parent and then the kid him/herself just like Fidget did from The Great Mouse Detective. Same with villains like Scar from The Lion King and so many other villains I can think of. One of my fanfiction friends, Darkwriter2020 plans on having Striker as Scar and I don't blame her. Just had to get it out. So, I hope you enjoy the story.
Chapter 1: A Heated Argument
It was Christmas Eve in Blitzo's office in the Pride ring, where Blitzo, Moxxie, Millie, Loona, Striker, Jake, and Kaitlin discussed what they were doing for Christmas.
"So, what are you all doing for Christmas?" Blitzo asked.
"Chilling with my Millie," Moxxie said.
"And our daughters," Millie added as she and her husband gave each other eskimo kisses.
"What are your daughters' names?" Jake asked curiously.
"Mandy and Carrie, sweetie."
"Unfortunately, Mandy's got a broken arm."
Jake gasped in shock, feeling sorry for his friend's daughter. "I hope she feels better soon, Moxxie." Then he turned to his father. "Dad?"
But Striker paid no attention to his son. He was preoccupied with nibbling on Moxxie's pencil. "Yeah."
"Uh, Striker, can you hand me my pencil, please?" Moxxie said, doing his best to hide his annoyance.
Striker stopped what he was doing.
"Dad, just give him the pencil."
The cowboy imp rolled the pencil to Moxxie.
"Striker, what's going on?" Kaitlin asked with concern.
"So, Kaitlin, what are you, Striker, and Jake doing for Christmas?"
"Exchanging presents with Kaitlin and Jake," Striker finally spoke.
Kaitlin stood up from the desk. "Blitzo, can I tell you something in private?"
"Sure thing."
The imp boss and one of his employees exited the room to find a private place to talk.
But little did they know that Striker followed. Before he could reach the two, the door was already shut. However, this did not stop him from listening in.
"Jake, Striker, and I packed up just in case Striker changes his mind and so we could go to your apartment."
Striker nodded, knowing it was true. "That's right, we did."
"But I don't know what Striker's deal is."
"What the hell is she talking about?" He had a gut feeling he wasn't going to like what she was about to say next.
"I see what you're saying, Kaitlin."
"He hasn't talked much all morning, which worries me."
Blitzo nodded. "I'm sure Jake is just as concerned as you are. If Striker doesn't tell us sooner, he's going to lose both of you."
The last comment made Striker snarl.
Blitzo and Kaitlin left the private room and headed back into the office.
"Striker, can you just talk?" asked Moxxie.
"What is there to talk about, Moxxie?" Striker demanded.
"You heard how worried your wife is, so why don't you explain that?"
The cowboy imp, too enraged to care, wrapped his tail around Moxxie's neck, much to Jake's shock. Jake had never seen his father act this way towards anyone.
"Jake!" A worried female voice ran over to pull the boy in her arms.
"Kaitlin!" Jake wrapped his arms around her.
"It was a good thing we packed our things just in case shit gets out of hand," Kaitlin muttered through clenched teeth.
"Striker, knock it off!" Blitzo scolded.
"Put him down!" Millie admonished.
Striker stopped and released his grip.
Moxxie coughed.
Luckily, Millie got him a glass of water and wrapped him up in her arms. "There, there, Mox."
"Striker, what's eating you?" Kaitlin demanded.
"Well, I…" Striker fumbled to find the right words, but when he failed to do so, he growled, "I hate Christmas because I find the traditions embarrassing!"
Kaitlin scoffed as she crossed her arms. "Wow, cool."
"Dad, why would you do that?" Jake demanded, irritated by his father's behavior.
"WHY? That's what I've been wanting to do ever since I met him at the festival!" Then he pointed at Moxxie. "Not only that, he stuck his fucking nose in my business about how your stepmom was worried about me!"
"Woah, Strike," Blitzo said, trying to calm him, "Kaitlin talked to me about this and she said she was worried about you not telling her."
"Well, I already told all of you why I hate Christmas."
"What if that's not the case? It could be something else, so figure it out."
"I'm sorry, Moxxie," Kaitlin said.
"Me, too," seconded Jake.
…
Blitzo drove Striker, Jake, and Kaitlin home and parked by Striker's house, so he could see what was going on between the trio as usual.
"Dad, what is the real reason you don't like Christmas?" Jake asked.
"I don't want to talk about it, kiddo."
"Talking about it would make you feel better," Kaitlin insisted.
"I feel better not talking about it, Kaitlin."
"Something's up as Blitzo told me."
"Come on, Dad."
"Ugh! Would you two stop it?! I don't want to hear it anymore! Why don't you celebrate Christmas at Blitzo's house for all I care?!"
Kaitlin and Jake gasped in shock. Then, they glared at him.
At that moment, Striker realized he hurt their feelings. "Jake. Kaitlin. I didn't mean-"
"Well, you can have yourself a Merry Christmas without us!" Jake snapped, out of betrayal, "And what you did to Moxxie was something I wish I could unsee, but I can't!" Then the two went to their rooms to grab their bags they packed before leaving.
Jake was the first one to head out the door.
"Go choke on some eggnog, asshole," Kaitlin sassed, flipping the bird at Striker, "I hope you're happy." With that, she slammed the door on her way out and she and Jake went back in the van.
"How'd it go?" Blitzo asked.
"Well," Jake said hesitantly.
"Is he still throwing a tantrum over Christmas?"
"Oh, yeah," said Kaitlin.
"Well, at least you get to crash at my place." Then Blitzo started the van again and drove them to his apartment.
AN: I intentionally had Striker revert back to his mean self.
Mandy belongs to JamieTheFandomGirl.
Thanks to MorganTheMovieFan95, I decided to use Carrie as Millie's and Moxxie's adopted daughter.
