AN: I desire cheese!

I woke up. The sun today was bright and harsh on my eyes. Kakashi-sensei had said that today was survival training so, I tied my hair into a low ponytail and tucked it down the back of my shirt. I left the hair that dangles in front of my right eye and down to my navel, at least until the training began. I'm a bit scared of eye contact and this helps a lot.

I layered a dull green jacket on top of my purple shirt and strapped my kunai/shuriken pouches to my legs. Then I headed out.

I stopped by the supplies shop to pick up some ninja wire. By the time I got to the others they had already been waiting for a while.

Thirty minuets. How on earth does it take a jounin HALF AN HOUR to get somewhere!? Anyway, he got here and we could finally begin our first assignment.

The bell test. There are two bells, to pass one must obtain these bells. Our sensei will try to stop us and we must use whatever we have at our disposal to get the bells. One problem, there are two bells and four of us, so at least two of us would be sent back to the academy. I'm Kakashi-sensei words "in order to pass, you must come at me like you mean to kill me"

After we started, everyone hid. Except for Naruto. Idiot. You better have a plan Naruto. I already know he doesn't but still.

"TEN THOUSAND YEARS OF PAIN!" Naruto was swiftly relocated to the river. Our sensei is cruel, truly. I watched his moves as they fought, he was far faster, and far stronger. We have no chance of getting those bells in a fair fight, unless he plans to hold back, but that doesn't seem likely. I need to get to the others, if one of us detracted him then we might have more of a chance at the bells. At least one of us deserves to pass.

I watched for my opening carefully, tying the end of my spool of wire to a tree. Hopefully he wouldn't notice it. I charged towards him, throwing a punch at his sternum. He dodged to my left and kicked me in the side. The force would have launched me to the river, like with Naruto, but instead I was like a pendulum. The wired went taught and I ended up using Kakashi-sensei as an anchor. I spun around him twice and he was tied up. The wire cut slightly through his clothes. He looked surprised, "clever, you used your attack to distract me from the wire. However, this won't be enough to get a be-" He was cut off when about fifty Naruto sprung from the river and all attacked him at once. Solid clones, cool!

The next thing I knew Naruto was fighting himself and our sensei was gone. It didn't take long for Naruto to dispel his clones, and fall for a trap. He was always bad at those. Kakashi appeared, picked up the bait to his trap and left. "Hey Naruto, how ya hanging?" I couldn't help but smile as I got closer. "Kuro! Of course, I don't need help!" he then took one of his kunai and cut himself down. He was already back upside down before one could say 'two bells'. I laughed at his misfortune, before checking for any more traps with a stick. There weren't any, so Naruto got down, permanently this time.

"Naruto, you can't beat him a-" The look of betrayal on his face was only mildly amusing. "Hey! You don't know that!" I quickly interrupted him before he could give another speech about becoming hokage "I was about to say, you can't beat him alone. Let's work together." Naruto took a thoughtful expression. "OK! Let's do it!"

We eventually decided to split up. Naruto would find Kakashi and I would set a trap. It took me roughly thirteen minuets to set the trap, a wire trap that would launch kunai over and around him. It would hopefully give one of us a chance to go for a bell.

After setting my trap, I hid myself, suppressing my chakra, and waited. And waited. Until I heard the sound of ringing. Kakashi had set an alarm for lunch and we had until then to get the bells. I hope Sakura and Sasuke had more luck than me and Naruto.

I headed to the three posts we where to have lunch at. And found Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto already there. Sakura was tied to a stump, apparently, she had immediately fallen into a genjutsu and fainted.

Kakashi explained the test. It was a test to see if we understood the core principles of Konoha shinobi, and most importantly teamwork. We failed because we didn't work as a team. The others, Naruto, where outraged. He refused to go back to the academy. Kakashi simply stated that, yes, we wouldn't be going back to the academy, because we would be banned from becoming ninja.

Kakashi then gave us another chance, surprisingly. After we ate lunch, we would then be able to try again to get the bells. The only rule was that Sakura was not allowed to eat. He left us to our lunches.

We ate in silence for a few minuets. But it was promptly shattered when Sakura's stomach betrayed her with a massive growl. "Are you OK?" was my only response to the, admittedly disturbing, sound. I took a quick cursory glance around the area, Sasuke seemed to get what I was doing. We both offered to share our food with her, Naruto was just confused. "Eat. I don't need anyone holding me back." It was the first time I'd heard Sasuke speak.

"YOU!..." our sensei appeared in a whirlwind. "pass!"
