At an airfield, 2 pilots chatted as they walked as 2 P-40 Warhawks flew overhead.

By a runway, 4 P-40s flew as 2 came into landing.

Long Island January, 1941

A P-40 soon touches down and rolls across the runway.

Near the hangers, a pilot named Red climbs out of his plane, as well as a friend of his named Anthony.

"Where's McCawley, Haddock and Walker?" An officer asked.

"Still training, sir." A pilot named Billy said.

Nearby, 2 P-40s soared over the coast as their engines roared at high speed.

"All right, Danny." Rafe said. "Now let's show 'em how to fly. We're gonna play chicken. You ready?"

Elsewhere, another P-40 flew as Danny was in it.

"This ain't the farm, and these ain't no cropdusters." Danny said. "I'm not playing chicken with ya."

"Oh, come on." Hiccup said.

"Now don't be a baby." Rafe said.

Danny shook his head.

I-I'll tell you what..."

"Not doin' it, Rafe." Danny said.

"Well, I'm coming right at you." Rafe said. "You can turn, or you can hit me. It's up to you."

Soon, the 2 P-40s soared by the hangers everyone turned to them.

"What the..." The officer said.

"Oh, boy." Billy said.

Rafe's and Hiccup's P-40 flew as the group turned and saw Danny's coming in at the other direction.

"Why are you always bustin' my ass, Rafe?" Danny said giving out. "Which way you goin'?"

The group then turns back to Rafe's and Hiccup's plane.

"I guess I'll go right." Rafe said. "No, uh, left. I'll go left."

"Then it's settled." Hiccup said.

The 3 pilots begin to fly towards each other.

"OK, we're goin' left, right?" Danny said getting ready.

"Ri-uh, right. Right?"

"Right like we're goin' right, or right like we're goin' left?" Danny frowned.

"Oh, well, now you got me all mixed up!" Rafe said now confused. "I don't know. Make up your mind."

The 3 P-40s begin to close in on each other.

"God, Rafe, we're going right!" Danny yelled. "Righty-tighty!"

The 3 P-40s start to close in near each other.

"Aah!" Danny quickly turned.

The 3 pilots quickly turned as the 3 P-40s narrowly bypass each other as everyone minus the officer cheered.

"WHOO-HOO!" A pilot cheered.

"AIR PUMP!" Red cheered.

Danny laughed.

"Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!" Rafe cheered.

"Yeah!" Hiccup cheered.

"That's it!" A pilot cheered.

Danny's P-40 twirled through the air.

"Those are some smooth aces." Anthony said.

Time has pass on, and at the White House of Washington D.C., a meeting was called as President Franklin Roosevelt was rolled into a room in a wheelchair due to his illness of polio since for almost 20 years.

"Please be seated, gentlemen." Roosevelt said.

Everyone then sat down.

"I'm afraid I'm in a bad mood." Roosevelt said. "Churchill and Stalin are asking me what I'm asking you. How long is America going to pretend the world is not at war?"

"We've increased food and oil shipments, Mr. President and as far as I know..." A man said.

"What they really need are tanks, planes, bullets, bombs, and men to fight." Roosevelt said. "But our people think Hitler and his Nazi thugs are Europe's problem. We have to do more. Send the Brits and Russians more of our ships and anti-aircraft weapons."

"And keep cannibalizing the Pacific Fleet?" An Admiral said.

"What choice do we have?" Roosevelt said. "We're building refrigerators while our enemies build bombs."

Halfway around the world, while America remains out of the war, a proposal was about to be made that is set to change everything. As a white flag stood with a red rising sun symbolizing the Empire of Japan.

"War is inevitable." Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto said in Japanese. "To hide this fact is death."

Yamamoto spoke to other Japanese officers as some kids played nearby on a hill with kites.

"The Americans cut off the oil that is our lifeline... We have only enough for 18 months, we have no choice but war." Yamamoto declared. "There is only 1 way. A massive, sudden strike."

"You see us capable of such a blow?" An officer said unsure it was possible.

Yamamoto glanced over to the group of kids playing as he knew the choice he was making was for all of Japan.

"We will annihilate their Pacific Fleet in a single attack... at Pearl Harbor." Yamamoto declared.

Over 4,000 miles away, on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, was the military base of Pearl Harbor as it was homed to 18,000 US Navy and Army men being based. And the harbor filled with many battleships and a carrier as P-40s flew in the air.

In one of it's passenger boats arriving, Navy nurse Evelyn Johnson and her friends looked around the harbor.

"This is so exciting." Evelyn said.

"I know, I've also wanted to come here." A nurse named Astrid said.

"You know there's about a hundred ships on Pearl." Sandra said looking through a magazine.

Sailors on a nearby battleship they were passing by waved out to them.

"How many sailors per ship?" Betty asked.

"It depends." Sandra said. "There's more on a battleship than a sub. But say, on average... 2,000?"

"Everything included the flyers, the marines, base personnel." Barbara said.

"I'm still working on the sailors." Betty said.

"I'm more into pilots." Heather said.

"Girls, I think the odds are in your favor." Evelyn said.

"Yeah, like 4,000 to 1." Martha said.

"It's paradise." Betty said placing shades on.

The sailors on the battleship continued whistling out as they followed the boat across the deck.

"See you on the beach, boys!" Barbara waved out. "We're in Hawaii!"

Betty laughed a bit.

On one of Pearl Harbor's many bases, work continues as some soldiers trained and some checked on the P-40s as one flew by.

By 1 hanger, a group of men were busy with their own thing.

"Hey!" Earl said approaching a pilot doing some painting on a P-40. "You know you're not supposed to be painting titties on the side of my airplanes. And if you do, don't make 'em lopsided."

"They were lopsided, Earl." Gooz said working on a surfboard.

"Look, it says right here." Joe said looking through a surfing book. "'Never ride waves amongst rocks or submerged pilings". See, it says you shouldn't do that."

"Well, how do you gonna know they're submerged if they're submerged?" Gooz inquired.

"Hey, Gooz, what in the hell are you doing?" Earl inquired walking up to him.

"Just trying to fix this surfboard thing of his." Joe said. "He keeps taking chunks off his nose on the rocks."

"I thought coming on my day off, I'm working on my new invention... the Gooz Cruise Fin." Gooz said with the surfboard's fin in his hand. "I'm gonna be a rich fella. Every surfboard in the nation's gonna need one."

"Yeah? well, you're gonna need a broom." Earl said.

Joe then noticed Danny and his friends that have recently arrived as they approached them.

"Check out these new recruits." Joe said.

Earl went up to them.

"Hi." Danny greeted.

"Alo-ha." Earl saluted.

"Y'all pilots?" Danny asked.

Earl then turns to Gooz.

"Uh, we're working on it." Gooz said. "It's a lot of switches and stuff."

Danny stared.

Gooz then chuckled. "Pride of the Pacific."

"Who are you?" Earl asked.

"Terrors of the skies." Danny smiled.

At Pearl Harbor's Naval hospital, Evelyn and the other nurses arrived as a doctor was busy on a type-writer.

"Welcome, ladies." A nurse greeted.

"Hi." Evelyn, Barbara, Martha, Sandra, Astrid and heather greeted.

"Hi." Betty greeted.

"I have to deal with toasty sun burnt fanny before I can show you around." The nurse tending a man with a bad sunburn on his back.

The nurses then giggled.

Then a smack was heard.

"Ow!" The man yelped in pain.

A sailor on one of the many battleships in Pearl Harbor rang a bell as it chimes.

"Atten-hut!" An officer called out.

Other sailors stood shoulder to shoulder.

"Attention on deck!" The officer said. "Admiral Kimmel, Commander-in-Chief, Pacific Fleet, on deck."

"Sharp presentation, Captain." Admiral Husband E. Kimmel said.

"Thank you, Admiral Kimmel." The captain said.

"For 4 months now Washington's been blowing pink smoke about the threat from Japan." Kimmel said. "Could make us lose our fighting edge. I'm determined not to let that happen."

2 officers approached them as a ship horn blows from a distance. The captain and Kimmel soon turn to the officers as they went up to them.

"With your permission, Captain." An officer said. "Admiral, urgent, from Washington." He saluted and hands Kimmel a file.

Kimmel looks through the file and soon shoo his head.

"I'm supposed to keep this fleet battle-ready to take on the Japanese, cover half the damn globe." Kimmel said. "Now they want me to transfer another 12 destroyers to the Atlantic. Don't they know what we're facing out here?"

"They feel Europe is the greater danger, Admiral." The captain said.

"I'm assuming these risk assessments include Hawaii?" Kimmel said.

"Well, Pearl Harbor is too shallow for an aerial torpedo attack." The captain said. "We're surrounded by sub nets. All we have to worry about is sabotage, so we bunched our planes together to make them easier to protect. Distance is our ally, Admiral."

"You analysts got it all figured out, don't you?" Kimmel said. "The smart enemy hits you exactly where you think you're safe."

Thousands of miles away in Japan, the battleplan for the attack is being worked on as model ships sat in a pool of water.

"From a Hawaiian sightseeing plane, I was able to photograph battleship row and the many airbases." A Japanese man said who recently returned from a spy mission.

"Look at the ships - all grouped." A Japanese Admiral said. "Perfect targets."

Yamamoto nodded.

They then went over to where 3 torpedoes were.

"We have fixed our torpedoes to allow for Pearl Harbor." The Admiral said.

He nodded, and 2 men placed and slid a wooden fin structure on the torpedo's rotor.

"Wooden fins - this makes the torpedoes able to travel through the shallow harbor." The Admiral explained showing a chart of the torpedo's method.

The wooden fins will also keep the torpedoes from getting stuck in the mud of the floor of the harbor.

Yamamoto nodded with improvement.

"When Pearl Harbor is still asleep in the morning mist, we will attack with full force." Yamamoto said.

Yamamoto knew that Japan could succeed- if, it came as a surprise.

At Pearl Harbor, on one of the battleships, a crowd of sailors and officers and other men cheered as some sat on the cannon barrels. And a boxing match took place between a sailor cook name Doris Miller, nicknamed Dorie, and a mechanic on the Oklahoma ship.

Gooz, Billy, Danny and Hiccup soon appeared and watched the fight as Dorie struck 2 punches at the mechanic.

"That-a-boy! Be a mad dog!" A sailor cook cheered.

"You hit pretty hard... for a cook." The mechanic said.

He then struck a fist hard as Dorie's face knocking him back.

"All right, Walker, who you got?" Gooz said. "Come on, find tomorrow rum."

"I'll take the cook." Danny said.

"Why? You don't like money?" Gooz frowned.

The mechanic continues hitting Dorie and knocks him back with a punch.

"Come on!" The cook said. "Get out there now!"

Dorie then ducked as the mechanic attempts to punch him as his fist swung. Causing everyone near him to avoid his swing exclaiming.

"Whoa!" A sailor exclaimed holding a Jack Russel Terrier.

The mechanic struck a fist hard at Dorie in the gut.

"I'll put 5 on it." Danny said making a bet.

"Done." Gooz said settling it.

The mechanic struck a fist hard at Dorie's face.

"Against a mechanic?" Gooz said. "That guy craps rivets."

"How's it feel up when out of the engine room?" Dorie asked. "Sunlight botherin' you?"

The mechanic then struck a fist hard at Dorie's face.

"Ow." Dorie said.

The mechanic then upper cuts Dorie as he was knocked back.

"Man, he's getting all busted up in there!" The cook said.

The mechanic then punches Dorie.

"Move! Move!" Gooz cheered.

A bell then rang.

"Come here, we gotta walk!" The cook said as Dorie approached him. "Get down here. He can't hurt us."

An African American squeezes a sponge as water pours on Dorie.

"He can hurt us." Dorie said. "He cut us. We bleeding."

"Bleeding?" The cook said in disbelief and dabs his finger on a cut over Dorie's right eyebrow and tasted the blood. "That's a scratch! Now you see this here?" He held out a bundle of money. "This here's the hard-earned greenbacks of every pot-scrubbin', dishwashin' chop in this here fleet. Now if we don't win. The Teeny here has to found himself another battleship! There's no way I'm going back to the Arizona empty-handed."

"Don't worry about the money." Dorie said. "Imma send that smug engine-fixin' snipe back below decks where he belongs." He got ready.

The bell then rings as Dorie heads back out.

"Come on, now. We the man!" The cook cheered. "You the man! He slapped your mama, remember?! Be a son of a bitch!"

The fight started again as the mechanic attempts to strike, but Dorie quickly avoids it. Dorie then struck a few punches at the mechanic and punches several times at his gut.

"Look at this! All right, Dorie!" Danny cheered as Gooz complained.

Dorie punched the mechanic hard and punches him again as he was knocked back.

Danny then cheered as well as the cook.

The mechanic soon got up as Dorie was ready for him, the mechanic regains his senses and approaches him. Dorie then struck a fist as him, and then punches him hard again as he dropped to his knees.

"That's enough." The referee said stepping in. "That's enough."

The mechanic tries to regains his senses, but then drops flat on the deck as everyone cheered and the bell rang.

"Oh ho ho!" Danny cheered turning to Gooz. "Where's my money?"

"Nah, fight's rigged." Gooz said.

"Have to admit, that guy's good." Hiccup said.

"We're rich!" The cook cheered.

He then kissed the money bundle and laughed.

Later, Dorie was at the dispensary cutting his cut stitched.

"How'd you get this?" Evelyn asked.

"Boxing." Dorie answered.

"Did you win?" Evelyn asked.

"Yes, ma'am." Dorie answered.

"And what do you get for winning?" Evelyn asked snipping the last bit of stitch with a scissor.

"Respect." Dorie said.

Soon, they walked outside.

"So, why do you have a fight with your fists to get respect?" Evelyn asked.

"I left my momma in Texas and joined the Navy to see the world, become a man." Dorie said. "They made me a cook. Not even that. I clean up after other sailors eat. 2 years, they never even let me fire a weapon."

"Well, let's hope you never have." Evelyn said.

Dorie then placed his hat on.

"Yes, ma'am." Dorie said.

"You take care, Petty Dorie Miller." Evelyn said.

"You, too, ma'am." Dorie smiled and heads off.

In Japan, Japanese Navy men were getting everything ready for the attack.

As they loaded bombs, torpedoes, and Zero planes. The 3 planes they chose for the attack are B5N2s which are torpedo-bombers, D3A1s and A6M Zeros for an aerial attack. The Zero was chosen for the carrier transport, and has a range of 1,600 miles. Much further than a F4F-4 carrying 2 drop tanks. With fairly high-lift, low-speed wing with very low wing loading. This combined with its light weight, resulted in a very low stalling speed of well below 69 miles per hour. This was the main reason for its phenomenal maneuverability.

"The attack training is progressing." Yamamoto said. "For the success of this operation High-level bombing and torpedo attack training are crucial, Commander Genda."

"If we achieve surprise, the Americans will offer little resistance." Commander Genda said.

"Set up teams of radio operators to send out messages the Americans will intercept." Yamamoto ordered. "Concerning every potential target in the Pacific. Include Hawaii - the clutter will be more confusing that way."

"Brilliant, Admiral." Genda said.

"A brilliant man would find a way not to fight a war." Yamamoto said.

Now October, Hiccup, Astrid, Red, Betty, Billy and Barbara were heading out for a triple date.

"Whow. Check this out!" Billy said seeing sign of Crossroads of the Pacific. "Crossroads of the Pacific. Tahiti - 1,700 miles!"

"Midway only just 1,073 miles." Hiccup said. "Always thought of going through."

"Maybe someday you'll will." Astrid said.

"Maybe, always thought of flying those SBDs." Hiccup said and held Astrid close. "But, right now, I think I have everything right here."

"Aw." Astrid rested her chin on his shoulder.

"All right!" Billy said.

They then headed off as Red and Betty remained by the sign.

"Say, Betty..." Red said looking somewhat nervous and eager.

Betty turns to him as Red remained silent, and then he suddenly got on 1 knee.

"W-wou..." Red stuttered.

Betty frowned unsure what he was doing, and then kneels down to his level.

"No, Betty! Get up!" Red said.

"What's going on, Red?" Betty asked.

"You gotta stand up, please." Red said.

"What do you mean "get up"?" Betty asked.

"Just stand up." Red said. "Stand..."

Betty then stood up as Red held her hand.

"Oh! Ha!" Betty gasped suddenly realizing what he was doing and beamed.

"Betty..." Red said.

"Red, come on!" Billy called out. "We got a dinner reservation."

"Red, what's the hold-up over there?" Hiccup asked.

Red remained silent with a flat look, and turns to them. "Can I get a minute?"

He then lowered his head.

"What's the matter, you sick?" Barbara asked.

"You okay?" Astrid asked.

Red then turns to them.

"Can a guy propose?!" Red yelled.

Billy and Hiccup's eyes then widen as Astrid and Barbara beamed.

"Oh, my..." Astrid suddenly hugged Hiccup.

"Oh! Thank you!" Barbara beamed and hugs Billy.

Washington D.C. Naval Intelligence

"The Japanese Fleet is missing." The Vice Admiral said as a projector showed footage. "They're operating under radio silence. This footage was shot 4 days ago on October 28th."

The projector turns off.

"Well, we're sending scout planes in wider vectors all over the Pacific, but they get nothing." An officer said rolling a map out. "They could be anywhere in here." He gestured to South Pacific region near Southeast Asia.

"I don't understand how 2 whole carrier divisions can just disappear." The Vice Admiral said.

Thurman turns to him.

In the open seas of the Pacific Ocean, 6 Japanese carriers, Akagi, Kaga, Soryu, Hiryu, Shokaku, and Zuikaku, were heading east towards the Hawaiian islands. Hauling a total of 353 planes, also with them were a fleet of destroyers, battleships, tankers and even several submarines.

They were operating on radio silence to avoid detection.

Before heading out to open water, each warship left Japan one at a time, going in separate routes to escape attention. All the ships eventually met up on a remote island north of Japan. After that, they begin the 4,000 mile trip to Hawaii.

At Pearl Harbor, Danny was doing target practice.

"Clear!" He called out.

He then pulls the control trigger as a P-40 suspended by the tail aiming forward fires as everyone below covered their ears as the shooting soon ceased.

Danny soon looks at the damage.

"Aw, we're all over the page." Danny said. "We got 1 wall-eyed and 1 pigeon-toe. Anthony, tap in number 6."

"All right." Anthony said.

"Gooz." Danny said.

"Yeah?" Gooz said.

"Tap in number 3." Danny said.

"All right." Gooz said.

Somewhere at Oahu, 2 Japanese spies were gathering information.

"Do you have any airtours going through the valley of Oahu?" The spy asked on a phone. "You do?"

The second preps a hidden camera.

Soon, the spy went along with a tour and secretly took photos of Pearl Harbor and battleship row.

Later, the photos were being ready.

"We have enough information." The spy said. "We are returning home."

The photos were placed in letters.

The Japanese officers looked through the photos.

In the open seas of the Pacific, The Japanese carrier fleet is nearly 1,000 miles from the Hawaiian island and beginning to close in.

On one of the carrier decks, Japanese men were checking on the planes making sure they will be ready for launch.

Covers over the engines were removed, and some prep to load bombs on some of the planes.

"In case the optimism of the "Honolulu Advertiser" proves unfounded, gentlemen..." Kimmel said looking at a newspaper and placed it down. "...what are General Short and the Army going to do about protecting my ships?"

"Within a 10-mile radius of your harbor we have fighter planes here at Wheeler, bombers at Hickam, and a training strip at Haleiwa." A lieutenant explained gesturing to the airfields on a model of Oahu.

Meanwhile, the Japanese fleet were going over the battleplan.

A man held a camera and took a photo of the pilots for the attack.

In the captain's quarter of the carrier, Yamamoto looks out through a window.

"10 degrees to port." Yamamoto ordered.

2 dings were heard.

"We've recently established a radar station here that can detect planes 125 miles out." The officer said.

"Which is a month old, Admiral, and untested." Another officer said.

"I've seen these new radar screens, Major." Kimmel said. "There's no way of telling whether they're ours, theirs or a flock of damn birds."

Pearl Harbor December 5, 1941

"I'm intercepting a call from Tokyo to somewhere close by Pearl." A listener said.

"There's a call from Tokyo." A dentalassistant said to a Japanese dentist cleaning the teeth of a patient. "They say they don't know you."

The dentist placed his tools down, and answers the phone.

"Hello? Hai." He said.

The listeners carefully listened as one looks through a Japanese phrasebook.

The dentist spoke Japanese as he looked outside the window.

"It's a local dentist." The listener said. "He can see Pearl Harbor from his office. Are there many sailors around?"

The dentist spoke Japanese as he looks out his window with Pearl Harbor close by with a few ships.

The listener looks through the phrasebook.

"Uh, the dentist says that the flagships are not at port." The listener said.

The dentist looks at the clear sky.

"They're talking about the weather."

"He doesn't seem to know who he's talking to." The listener said.

"Hello?" The dentist said.

A dial tone was heard as whoever was talking to the dentist just hung up.

"Hello? Moshi moshi." The dentist said.

"Hello?"

The listener remained quiet as he listens.

"That was a strange call." The dentist said and hangs up the phone.

At a barber shop, Kimmel was having a haircut as the barber was shaving his sideburns.

And then a officer entered the building.

"Admiral, may I speak to you in private?" The officer saluted.

Kimmel got up and followed the officer outside.

Soon, he explained the strange call to Kimmel.

"Why would a spy use a phone?" Kimmel inquired. "They know we tap all international lines."

"Our listeners feel it's probably not code talk." An officer explained. "It sounds like someone in Japan is sneaking around asking a local citizen the location of our carriers."

"Well, that makes me feel all warm inside." Kimmel said sarcastically. "Get the FBI on it immediately. Have we found the goddamn Japanese Fleet yet?"

"No, Admiral." The officer informed. "The bases are looking all over the Pacific."

"So the entire fleet could be rounding Diamond Head, right now, and we wouldn't know a thing about it." Kimmel said knowing that the fleet could be right on top of them and they wouldn't know it. "Get on it."

He walks off as the 2 officers saluted.

-00:08:40

The night of December 6, the Japanese Fleet was a little over 300 miles just north of the Hawaiian island.

"This is Radio Honolulu playing the sweetest music on the sweetest island in the Pacific. It's a beautiful December 6th with beautiful music..."

In one of the carriers, Japanese officers through the radio in case the Pacific Fleet spots them.

"If the Americans had any suspicion of our attack... The radio would let us know." A Japanese officer said.

A couple hours later, they were still listening through the radio as a man singing in Hawaiian was heard.

"The task force is 320 miles north of Pearl Harbor." Yamamoto said.

The other officers nodded.

They then looked as well as Yamamoto as an officer rips a page of the calendar, and as it was now midnight, Sunday, December 7th.

Yamamoto leans on the desk, looking uneasy. He knew well that hundreds, if not thousands of innocent Americans will be caught on the massacre and killed in tomorrow's attack. But at this point, they've come too far and there was no turning back now.

"The rise and fall of our empire is at stake." Yamamoto said.

The next morning, the sun begins to rise over the Pacific horizon.

In one of the carriers, the pilots were beginning to wake up.

"Revered father... I go now to fulfill my mission and my destiny." A pilot said writing a letter. "I hope it is a destiny that will bring honor to our family, and if it requires my life, I will sacrifice it gladly to be a good servant of our nation."

Soon, the pilots rushed out onto the deck.

Drinks were poured into cups as several pilots took them and bowed their heads.

The crew members quickly worked to load the planes with bombs and torpedoes as pilots climbed into their planes.

2 pilots tied scarves around their heads sporting the flaming red dot.

Crew members rushed around as the last of the bombs and torpedoes were loaded.

Soon, the planes started up at their engines roared.

An officer held a white flag out waiting for the order.

He then rise it up as crew membered removed the blocks from the plane wheels.

6:10

Soon, the word was given as a red flag was lowered. And Mitsuo Fuchida looked back to the other pilots and gave the signal.

Soon his A6M Zero rolls forward across the flight deck and soon got airborne and flew off.

An officer waved a flag out as another A6M Zero charges across the deck, and soon one by one the planes took off. And more took off as those in the air flew laps around the ships allowing them to get into flight formation.

Soon, a wave 181 Zeros were en-route to Pearl Harbor.

Meanwhile, the sun begins to shine over Oahu.

At Pearl Harbor, many of it's ships sat in the harbor's water as a smaller boat heads off with a sailor.

7:02

On the northern tip of the island, a man on a motorcycle heads to a radar station.

Inside, Private Joseph Lockard kept watch on the radar he noticed a blip appearing on the screen.

"Hey... we got a large haze." He said.

Among the fleet of planes, 2 D3A1s flew through the air.

Joseph and Private George Elliot watched as the blip continues south as they weren't sure what they were.

"That's too big to be planes, right?" He asked.

The fleet of Zeros continues on through the air.

At Pearl Harbor, on one of it's many airfields, 2 members were up checking on the P-40s.

In a building, the lieutenant was in an officer playing a chess game with someone on the phone.

"Is that what you want to do?" He asked. "Knight to knight 5?"

He then made his move.

"Boom! Wrong move." He said.

"Lieutenant, radar's picking up a large return moving in from the northeast." Clerk called out.

"Hang on." The lieutenant said and grabs a checklist and looks through any scheduled flights. "Relax. It's a flight of B-17s coming in from the mainland."

The flight of 12 B-17s were made of 4 from the 38th, and 8 from the 88th from the Reconnaissance Squadrons, en-route to the Philippines. As they were coming from Hamilton Beach, California. They were expecting to arrive another hour or so, but he just assumed they were early.

The fleet of Zeros continued flying high in the air.

"Nothing to worry about." Joseph said unaware how wrong they are.

"Heck of a lot of B-17s." George noted as Joseph marked the blip's position.

The Japanese fleet continues south toward Oahu.

At Oahu, on one of it's many golf courses, Kimmel was out as a player swings a ball out.

"Good shot, Hop." Kimmel said.

He then looked to his left seeing 2 jeeps approaching as one shopped next to him.

"This better be good, Commander." Kimmel said as the commander saluted.

3 A6M Zeros flew as their engines roared.

"One of our destroyers reports having fired and sunk enemy submarine attempting to enter Pearl Harbor at 0653." The commander reported.

Kimmel checked his watched. "It's 7:20!" As it was 27 minutes ago, when the USS Ward spotted something in the water as it was a Japanese midget sub from the fleet attempting to sneak into the harbor then lie and wait until the attack starts as it was taken out by depth charges.

"We had decoder delays, Admiral." The commander explained.

"Relay this to Washington and recall the staff." Kimmel ordered.

The fleet of Zeros continued their route as they flew over the ocean.

Meanwhile, at Naval Intelligence, the naval codes were being read as Thurman went over them thinking he was finally getting something.

"'Failure... peace talks... useless"." Thurman read the code.

It was then he realized something was wrong.

He quickly grabs a phone.

"Thurman here." Thurman said. "Tokyo transmitting to their embassy in Washington, "Discontinue use of your decoding machine and dispose of it immediately. Special emphasis on destroying important parts". Do you read that? Acknowledge."

The Zero fleet continues soaring over the ocean.

A jeep came to a stop at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard CINCPAC as Kimmel soon climbed out.

An officer approached him.

"Admiral... Naval Intel intercepted a transmission from Tokyo to the Japanese embassy in Washington, instructing them to break apart all decoder machines, and burn all secret documents." The officer explained as Kimmel looked through a file.

"The Japanese are expecting a war." Kimmel said not liking this. "Should we?"

In one of the Zeros, a photo of the Oklahoma is shown on the dashboard as the pilot continues flying.

Soon, the northern coast of Oahu came into view as the fleet of 181 planes head towards it.

Armed to the teeth.

On one of the Japanese carriers, an officer hands a file to another, and he hands it to Yamamoto as he reads.

"We have achieved surprise." Yamamoto said.

Meanwhile, the Japanese fleet flew through the mountain range as it was a place the radar screens can't detect them.

Further in the valley, 2 boys were up as then they saw the fleet of Japanese planes soaring by as they watched them fly through the valley.

At Naval Intelligence, members began to warn everyone.

"Warning of possible Japanese aggressive movement in any direction." An officer said through a phone.

"'Broken relationship. Hostilities imminent"." Thurman read the file. "But where?"

At Pearl Harbor, many sailors were up beginning to start their day.

Inside one of the ships, some sailors were still asleep.

Still en route of Pearl Harbor, the fleet of Zeros flew over a field.

At a house, Evelyn was asleep on a couch.

Elsewhere, Rafe and Danny were asleep in a Convertible Coupe.

Elsewhere, a woman was busy working on a washing line as a A6M Zero soars by.

At the carrier, officers were keeping track of the fleet's movements as Yamamoto watched.

At Oahu, some kids were out playing a game of baseball as one throws the ball out, and soon saw the fleet of planes flying by.

They all watched as the planes flew by as a gunner-man in one of the B5N2s yells out waving for the planes to keep going.

Everyone below watched.

At Pearl Harbor, on one of the docks, 3 sailors were chilling as 1 reads a magazine, another was doing some fishing as the other checking some netting.

In one of the ships, 2 sailors were up as one was brushing his teeth, and the other applying shaving cream on.

In the USS West Virginia, Dorie was gathering some things on a tray.

"Did you ever lose a fight, Miller?" Captain Mervyn Sharp Bennion asked fixing his sleeve.

"I been lucky so far, Captain." Dorie said giving a best answer.

"From what I hear, it ain't luck." Bennion said. "Ship's proud of you, son."

Dorie then turns to him as Bennion lightly smiled.

Meanwhile, the fleet of Zeros were beginning to close in on the harbor.

Elsewhere, 3 little girls were out playing in a yard with fairy wings on as they laughed.

They then ran by a stand of Santa Claus, considering that Christmas is 18 days away.

Many miles away out to sea, a fleet of ships traveled as among them was carrier.

On it's deck, many men were out doing push-ups, jumping-Jacks, and doing laps around the deck.

DECEMBER 7, 1941
USS ENTERPRISE
170 MILES WEST OF PEARL HARBOR

On the Enterprise, an officer hangs up a phone and heads outside.

"Come on. Step it up, ladies!" The coach called out to the men doing jumping-Jacks.

The officer then whispered to the coach.

"Clear the flight deck." The coach called out through a microphone. "Let's go."

They begin to clear the deck.

High above the fleet in the air, a Douglas SBD Dauntless begins to make a landing approach as it's landing hook was out.

As flying it was Richard Halsey Best as he turns the plane towards the ship.

"Prepare to brace!" Best called out.

In the gunner seat behind him, James Murray turns around as he turns to the right wing noticing the flap wasn't being deployed. He turns to the left wing as well as it's flap wasn't out as well.

"Why aren't you using the flaps, sir?" Murray asked.

"Because someday we might have to land with our flaps shot away." Best said. "So we might as well practice now."

He then turns the SBD as it dives towards the Enterprise.

"This isn't how Ensign Hunt used to fly." Murray said.

"Which is why Ensign Hunt is now counting seagulls in San Diego and you're here with me." Best said.

Best begins to line the SBD up with the carrier.

"Looks like we got hit in our fuel tank, too." Best said pulling back the supercharger handle.

"Please don't, sir." Murray begged.

"This might save your life 1 day, Murray." Best said. "Engine's about to die."

He then turns the engine off as the prop slows to a stop as the SBD is now in a freefall.

On the carrier deck, Lieutenant Commander C. Wade McClusky heads out and watches the descending SBD and heads to Clarence Earle Dickinson as he signals the plane.

"Stand by to recover aircraft."

McClusky joins next to Dickinson.

"What the hell is Best doing?" McClusky said watching the plane descending. "He's out of the groove."

"It looks like his engine cut out." Dickinson said as he kept signaling.

"Is it a stunt, or is he in trouble?" McClusky asked.

"I don't know." Dickinson said. "But he's gonna hit the first wire like always."

"Not with that angle." McClusky said.

In the air, as they approached the carrier, Best then worked the foot pedals adjusting the SBD shifting left in a sideways approach.

"Why are we sideways?" Murray asked.

"To shave speed so we don't put a hole in the deck." Best said.

"Better not crash that damn plane." McClusky said as Dickinson kept signaling.

With the carrier fast approaching, Best pushed the landing gear lever as it was brought down.

"Hey, hang in there, kid." Best said. "We're almost home."

He begins to adjust the plane.

Dickinson continues signaling as the SBD nears the carrier, but then vanished behind the deck as they all got concern.

After a few moments, the SBD suddenly soars upward.

"Brace!" Best yelled.

The SBD glides a bit and finally touches down as the hook caught the wire and slows to a halt.

Soon, a team heads out as McClusky heads off and Dickinson removes his hat.

The team pushed the SBD across the deck as a man guides them. He soon signals them to stop, and made a "tuck 'em in" gesture, and they placed wheels blocks.

Best soon climbs out and pats Murray's arm, and hops off the wing.

"Are you trying to get court marshalled?" Dickinson asked.

"I had electrical issue." Best said.

Dickinson stared unconvinced as Best chewed some gum.

"Could have happened to anyone." Best said and turns to Murray. "Hey! Good job."

Murray then walks off.

"Well, it's not me you have to convince." Dickinson said. "McClusky's about ready to have your ass."

"Then I'll take it upstairs to the old man." Best said. "He knows what's coming. That's why we've been flying double scout missions this whole trip."

At a lower hanger, an alarm blared as a platform lifts up with several men and another SBD and among them was Bill Miller.

"Going somewhere?" Best asked.

"Yeah, they're sending the whole squadron into Pearl this morning." Dickinson explained. "And I'll be drinking a beer on the beach with Roy by noon."

"And I'm not coming?" Best inquired.

"No. McClusky's holding back Scouting Six." Dickinson said. "It's probably 'cause you're such an asshole."

Best shook his head. "Yeah, you're lovin' this, right?"

"Morning, sir." Miller saluted. "Aircraft is spotted."

"Hey, take it easy on Miller." Dickinson said. "He's having a tough morning."

"It's my last day of sea duty, sir." Miller said. "And I'm the only one from my radio class who hasn't crashed."

"Don't worry, Miller." Best said. "I'm sure even Mr. Dickinson can fly you from here to Pearl without getting you wet."

"Hey. Me and Roy, we'll pour a little beer out on the beach for ya." Dickinson laughed.

He and Miller saw walked off as Best shook his head walking in another direction.

A bag was placed down labeled, "LT. ROY PEARCE".

In a locker room, Roy Pearce went through his locker as music played and his locker showed photos of his family, and him, Best and Dickinson together.

Roy finished up and closed his locker.

He soon heads up and opens a door leading outside and saw some sailors placing some chairs in place on the deck, he then checked his watch.

USS ARIZONA
PEARL HARBOR

"Well, you boys are taking your sweet time." Roy said. "Chaplain's gonna be here any minute."

"It's another hot one, sir." A young sailor named Sully said.

"Are you complaining, Sully?" Roy questioned.

Sully quickly stood straight. "No, sir." He said. "I just can't help wondering why I have to set up chairs for church, even though I don't believe in God."

Roy had a slight look of disbelief and went over to him.

"Well, that's because your only religion is chasing tail." Roy said. "And the Navy ain't gonna pay you for that."

Sully then nodded.

On one of the ships just outside the harbor, a sailor jostled some dice in his hand, and then tossed them out.

"Ha ha ha. Yeah!" He laughed and claims the betted money. "Ha ha!"

The sailors laughed as they then suddenly looked up seeing planes in flight formations as there were dozens.

Not too far away from Pearl, a cameraman was setting up a camera as he was too busy to even noticed the nearby planes flying in.

In the car, Danny slept as a plane soared overhead as he then stirred and tiredly woke up. Still half-awake, he thought it was Navy plane.

"Why the hell's the Navy doing practice this early on a Sunday?" Danny groaned.

He then lays back down.

The Japanese planes soared by as they begin to close in on their targets.

Soon, they were flying over the harbor as they begin to get into attack formation.

On one of the ships, a sailor doing some sweeping on the deck soon saw the approaching planes and he and other sailors watched as they flew by so low and close.

The Japanese fleet begin to close in on their targets, and soon, 1 B5N2 begins to lock onto the USS Maryland.

On the Arizona, 3 sailors were busy working then planes were heard whirring engines as they were approaching.

1 watched as dozens were in the air.

The B5N2 soon released it's torpedo, and it drops into the water and soars just under the surface.

The torpedo soars through the water approaching it's target, and on the side of the Maryland, 2 sailors were fixing the paint job as they saw the passing planes. And then the torpedo under the surface as it nears the ship.

And then it struck the side of the ship as it explodes and takes to the 2 sailors with it.

"Huah!" Danny exclaimed sitting up after hearing the explosion.

The cameraman heard the explosion and watches 2 Zeros soar by, and Danny watched a D3A1 fly by and they soon saw the entire harbor being bombarded.

On a ship, bullets suddenly rained down and struck near the cannon barrels as sailors ducked for cover.

"Aah!" A sailor yelled.

"Get down!" Another yelled.

By the Arizona, other Zeros closed in as they fired bullets as sailors ducked as the planes near them.

And soon 2 explosion plumes were going off on the side of 2 ships.

"INCOMING!" Roy yelled.

The explosions grew as a passing Zero fires bullets as some sailors on the deck dropped after getting struck.

Nearby, a little girl in a sandbox soon got up and watches the attack.

In the house, dishes in a sink suddenly rattled from faint rumbling as Best's wife, Anne looked outside confused and saw what was happening as she saw the harbor in flames. And a faint explosion was heard.

She soon rushed outside.

"Barbara!" Ann called out. "Barbara!"

The Zeros continued their attack as Anne saw what was truly going on.

"Barbara, come here!" Ann said urgently.

Barbara rushed to her mother.

"Come on, sweetheart." Ann said.

They then hurried back to the house.

In a passing B5N2, a gunner man fires below as the cameraman quickly grabbed his camera and rushed into the Coupe as Rafe hopped into the front with Danny.

"Go, go, go, go!" The cameraman yelled.

Danny quickly backs the car up.

"I'm with Navy newsreel, and I can tell you 1 thing - them ain't Navy planes!" The cameraman said.

At the harbor, the Zeros soared by as explosion plumes struck the ship's decks as the 3 sailors got up.

In one of the ship, sailors in a cabin room felt the room shook as other were woken up.

"All hands man your battle stations!"

"We're being bombed!" A sailor yelled from a hatch above them. "We're being bombed! Get up! Get up!"

The sailors were soon fully awake and got out of their beds and rushed off.

Outside, sailors rushed around as planes flew overhead as a man with a wrapped towel came out while in the middle of brushing his teeth.

The Japanese planes continued firing at the ships and dropping bombs and torpedoes.

On the Arizona's deck, Roy and Sully managed to get cover as the planes flew by.

"Get the wounded below deck!" Roy ordered. "Everyone else, battle stations!"

The sailors started helping any that are still alive.

Sully then got up.

The Zeros continued firing as members fled for their lives as and Roy and Sully watched as the attack continues.

They then looked back.

"Get down!" Roy quickly pulls Sully aside.

An explosion struck near a catapult plane as it crashes by near them.

Elsewhere, unaware of what was happening, Mary C. Layton grabs a pitcher and cup and heads to the dining room were her husband, Edwin Layton was reading a newspaper.

"Comin' to church?" Mary asked.

"I have to go to the office." Edwin said.

"It's Sunday." Mary said and pours a glass.

Edwin lowered his paper.

"You work too hard." Mary said.

A telephone was then heard ringing, Edwin got up folded his paper placing it on the table and got to the phone and answered it.

"Layton residence." Edwin said.

His look then read fear in his face, and the faint air raid siren was heard blaring.

"I'll meet you outside." Edwin said.

"Edwin, what's happening?" Mary asked.

"The Japanese are attacking us." Edwin said.

Edwin soon headed outside, and a car quickly halts to a stop.

"Did you reach the office?" Edwin asked.

"No. The switchboard was jammed." An officer said.

Edwin quickly climbs into the car as a siren wailed.

"Go." Edwin said.

They quickly drove off.

At Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard CINCPAC, Kimmel in uniform rushed outside along with other members as they watched the planes fly overheard.

"Jesus Christ!" Kimmel said turning as white as his uniform.

The Zeros continued firing at the ships as some sailors as the A.A. guns fired back trying to shoot them down.

"Sully, get up! Come on!" Roy said helping Sully to his feet.

They then hurried to the upper deck.

"We need to get to the gun directors." Roy said. "They're firing way too low."

Sully watched in fear the Zeros flew overhead.

8:10

Some 10,000 feet up, PO Kanai Noboru looks at a photo of the Arizona and looks through the viewing scope.

Watching carefully, the Arizona came into view and begins to lock on as the Nevada took a bomb hit.

In a cabin below, the cook was busy unpeeling potatoes.

"Man your battle stations."

"Another dumb drill." He said dismissively ignoring the danger signals.

The Jap then pushed the lever of the bomb release, and the 1,763 pound bomb was released.

The bomb soars for a moment, and then drops through the air whistling as it nears the Arizona's deck.

It then punctures through the portside deck like a stone, and broke into the cabin catching the cook by surprise. It crashed through a cabin with sailors in beds and through 2 more rooms landing in a lower magazine room as warheads were knocked to the floor.

The cook looks down through the hole.

"All hands man your battle stations."

"What the heck was that?!" A man yelled from above.

The cook looked up through the hole.

The sailors in the room looked down through the hole as well.

"It's a bomb!" A man suddenly yelled.

They then yelled as they rushed off as the cook looked nervously back down.

"Move, move, move!" A man yelled.

In the magazine room, the bomb's rotor continues spinning as some feathers were on it and it was in the worse possible place with more than a million pounds of gunpowder.

"Son of a bi-" The cook nervously trembled.

Sully quickly rushed behind the A.A. gun.

"TAKE COVER! GET DOWN!" Roy yelled rushing for cover.

Everyone on the deck fled as then suddenly the Arizona's bow was tossed upward.

Smoke suddenly spews from it's smokestacks as the Arizona's bow bends being tossed 12 to 15 feet into the air, and then a massive explosion rips out of the hull with the force of over 500 tons of gunpowder. And the plume flew forward as a massive shockwave was released as sailors and parts of the ship itself were sent flying into the air. As even the USS Vestral that was next to it shook from the blast as the shockwave was felt for 2 miles. And the shockwave was enough to extinguished the flames on the Vestral.

In 14 minutes time, it will lie 40 feet under with 1,177 men.

In the USS West Virginia, Dorie was carrying some laundry when he felt the shockwave shook the hall.

"From outside!" A man said.

A sailor quickly rushed by.

Not far from the harbor, the car came to a halt as brakes screeched, and Edwin looked out and saw the harbor being attacked as planes flew, and ships billowing great clouds of smoke.

"Drive!" Edwin said getting back in.

Back on the Arizona, Roy soon regains consciousness.

"Hey. Hey." Roy shook Sully as he groaned. "Are you okay?"

Sully soon wakes up.

Roy soon got up groaning as Sully got up and placed his hands on the metal frame, but then sizzled as it was burning hot from the blast. Yelling was heard as they saw a burning sailor screaming in pain, and then fell over the gap left from the bomb and magazine room and 2 more flaming sailors fell.

Then metal creaked as the ship shook as it started to sink.

"We have to get off the ship." Roy said. "Come on. Hurry up, kid."

On the Vestral, Boatswain's Mate Second Class Joseph L. George saw them.

A passing Zero fires bullets as Sully and the others rushed down.

"We gotta jump." Sully said.

"Go in that water, you're dead." Roy said.

Joseph quickly tossed out a line of rope as Roy caught it and starts tying it as well as Joseph with the other end of the rope.

"Sully! You first, Sully!" Roy said.

"I can't!" Sully cried. "My hands..."

Roy then grasped his shirt. "You wanna live? Get to that goddamn ship, you hear me?!"

Meanwhile, unaware of the attack, 2 SBDs flew over the ocean as they approached Oahu.

In one of them, Dickinson noticed what looked like flak clouds ahead as distant gunfire and explosions were heard.

"What is it, sir?" Miller asked.

"Looks like Coastal Artillery went stark mad." Dickinson said. "I bet you somebody's gonna catch hell for it."

Suddenly gunfire was heard as it rained down over them.

"Incoming!" Dickinson yelled.

The other SBD was then shot down as 2 Zeros begin to close on Dickinson and Miller.

"Miller, break radio silence!" Dickinson yelled. "Get that gun working!"

Miller got the radio working.

"Pearl is under attack." Miller called through it. "This is no shit."

He quickly turns pulls the 30 cal out and starts firing back as Dickinson tries to avoid getting hit. Miller fires at the 2 Zeros as one of them took a hit to the wing and fell. The remaining Zero continues firing as Miller was then struck.

"Miller, you okay?!" Dickinson yelled.

Soon the SBD took a hit at it's engine as Dickinson struggled to control it.

"Miller, bail out!" Dickinson yelled.

The burning SBD begins to soar towards the coast as the Zero flies by.

Dickinson unstraps himself and saw the distant land below and he checks on Miller.

"Miller! Miller!" Dickinson yelled. "Miller!"

Dickinson soon saw he was dead, and looked ahead as the plane soars as Dickinson then jumped out.

At Enterprise, Best heads to a room.

"What the hell is going?" Best asked.

"Pearl is shooting at our guys, sir." A man said.

"Then maybe it isn't Pearl." Best said. "Look, call Dickinson."

"We had a transmission that he was under attack and then nothing." He said.

A type-writer then showed "- AIR RAID ON PEARL HARBOR - THIS IS NO DRILL."

"Sir." A man hands Best the file.

Best looks through the file.

"Get this to the admiral." Best said.

He then heads off.

Back at Pearl, Sully desperately crawls across the rope to get to the Vestral.

Then passing Zero soared by firing bullets as a sailor slipped and then was shot as he screamed and fell into the flaming oil in the water.

Another Zero flew by firing.

"Keep going, Sully!" Roy yelled and hurries up.

Sully crawls across the rope as Roy got to an A.A. gun and then starts firing at the passing Zeros.

Meanwhile, the car drove by as dozens of people flee and Edwin climbed and saw a Zero coming at them.

"GET DOWN!" Edwin yelled.

They quickly ducked as the Zero fires bullets.

Edwin quickly heads off, and got into the building and hurries through the hall as members rushed around clamoring.

"Oh, come on." Edwin said.

He soon got into an officer.

"There's the man who tried to warn us." An officer said. "If it's any satisfaction to you, Layton, you were right."

"Sir, it's no satisfaction to me whatsoever." Edwin said.

Then an explosion shook the room as the Zeros continues their attack outside.

Meanwhile, Sully nears Joseph as he reached his hand out trying to reach him.

Roy fires at a passing Zero, and soon it was struck as it's wing broke off and fell into the water.

"You bastard." Roy glared.

Sully reaches out trying to grab Joseph's hand, he then tries to crawl a bit closer. But the other end of the rope has caught fire, and then snapped as they fell and hit the side of the Vestral as the sailor behind Sully lost his grip and fell into the burning water.

Joseph quickly pulls Sully up and brought on the deck and pats out a patch of fire on his pants.

Then loud screaming was heard they turned to the Arizona was the flames grew as Roy was heard screaming as he was being burnt alive.

The once great and proud Arizona continues sinking to her watery grave and final resting place as the Vestral hurries off.

At the USS West Virginia, Bennion enters the captain's quarters.

"Get me the engine room!" Bennion ordered.

He then saw 3 Zeros flying by as explosion plumes struck the decks of ships.

"My God." Bennion trembled.

He then ducked.

"Take cover!" A man yelled.

Bullets then crashed into the room as some struck a few members as they dropped to the floor.

"Down! Down!" A man yelled.

Bennion manages to avoid getting shot.

"Report battle stations!" Bennion ordered. "Manned and ready!"

"Man your battle stations!" An officer called out to the entire ship. "Man your battle stations!"

A sailor rushed in as an explosion struck from outside.

"This is no shit! They just sunk the Arizona!"

Dorie watched another sailor rushed by as he placed the laundry down.

"General quarter! General quarters!"

"Hustle, hustle!" A sailor yelled rushing by.

"All hands, man your battle stations!"

Dorie quickly follows him.

"This is no damn drill!"

Meanwhile, the fleet of Zeros continued their attack as some sailors on ships watched.

"Go! Go! Go, go." A sailor yelled.

The planes flew by as a sailor tries to one down with a rifle.

Meanwhile, Danny, Rafe and the newsreel man were still driving as they watched the planes fly by.

"They look like Japs." Rafe said.

"I didn't even know the Japs were sore at us!" The newsreel man said.

"Danny, you just get me into a goddamn airplane!" Rafe said.

More Zeros flew by as the newsreel brought his camera out and films it.

"HOLY GOD!" Rafe yelled as a Zero flew directly above them.

"This is good footage." The newsreel man said. "Did you see that? Holy cow!"

"I hope there's still an airfield left." Danny said.

At the harbor, 2 D3A1s flew and rolled into a dive bomb towards 2 ships, and soon dropped their bombs.

Distant gunfire and explosions were heard as the bombs soon struck the ships, and the 2 planes flew off.

On a ship, sailors screamed as some were forced to jump as a tower came crashing down.

Explosions sent sailors into the air as they screamed, a sailor fires a rifle as an explosion knocks them into the air.

3 Zeros flew by 3 ships as explosion plumes struck them, and they grew largely violent.

In the air, 2 D3A1s flew.

At the house, Evelyn was still asleep when she stirred and wakes up as she heard something.

She got up and heads outside.

"Hurry up!" A woman said.

"What in the world?!" Another said.

2 Zeros flew by as Evelyn watched.

"Look! So many!" A woman said.

And Evelyn saw 2 D3A1s flew by as she turns to the direction where they were going, and then she clapped her hands over her mouth in shock seeing Pearl Harbor being bombarded.

Soon, the other nurse came out.

"Evelyn, what's going on?!" Astrid asked.

Evelyn watched as more planes flew by and turns to them.

"Everybody to the hospital!" She yelled and runs off.

Meanwhile, on one of the airfields, 3 Zeros flew towards it as smoke billows in the background.

In a building, Red was busy with business as he was getting ready for the day. He then looked up and frowned seeing the 3 Zeros approaching.

His eyes soon widen realizing what they were.

In a room, everyone was asleep as Red suddenly barged in panicked mode as he shouted and stuttered madly and grabs a pair of pants.

"Why's the Navy always buzzin' us?" Anthony tiredly asked.

Red stammered like crazy trying to warn them as he tries to slip the pants on.

"Shut up, Red!" Billy said trying to sleep.

Red continues stammering as he points to the windows as everyone tiredly turns to him.

"Red, what's the matter with you?" Hiccup asked tiredly.

"Oh, man, come on." A man complained as Red took deep breathes calming down.

"Come on!" Another said.

"Red, it's too early." A third said.

"THE JAPS ARE HERE!" Red yelled.

Suddenly gunfire from the Zeros struck the windows as Red curled back as everyone ducked and the shooting soon ceased.

"What the hell?!" Anthony yelled as they rushed out of their beds.

"Let's go! Let's go!" A pilot yelled.

They all shouted as they rushed around.

A Jap pilot flies his plane over the harbor as other planes fired at the ships as gunfire rapidly rains down on them.

And they soared by the ships as explosions struck them.

The planes continued their raid as they flew by the ships and explosions struck them hard.

Several sailors in a boat desperately try to get across the harbor as they yelled.

The Zeros rushed by the ships as Dorie across the deck as bullets struck the wall behind him.

In the captain's quarters, Bennion grabs a phone.

"Get corpsmen to the bridge." Bennion ordered.

"Aye, Captain!" An officer said.

Outside, a B5N2 approaches the West Virginia with a torpedo ready for it.

The plane soon locks onto the ship, and the torpedo was released and drops into the water.

And makes a beeline towards the ship.

Bennion then felt the room shook.

"Captain, repair says third deck is flooding port side!"

They all remained silent as then the room shook again, and then a large explosion bursts through the wall.

Outside, Dorie held on as his hat was knocked off.

"Yaah!" Dorie yelled. "Uhh!"

He watches as the Zeros flew by, and he hurries up the stairs.

Sailors fired A.A. guns and other weapons at the planes as one just hit spun through the air falling as part of it's wing broke off. Sailors flee as the plane hits the deck hard and exploded.

The sailors continued firing at the planes trying to shoot them down.

An officer then approach 3 sailors hiding.

Sailors at the A.A. guns continued firing at the passing planes.

"Take cover!" A sailor yelled.

Some sailors on a ship started jumping into the water shouting.

Other sailors try to help those that got injured, and others rushed around as 1 hid in fear.

Dorie finally made it to the damaged captain's quarters and found Bennion seriously injured holding his hand over a wound made by a shrapnel that flew from the Tennessee.

"I got you, Captain." Dorie said untying his apron.

"You radio for air cover!" Bennion said. "Initiate damage control!"

Dorie press his apron on the captain's wound.

"Find my X.O. Tell him to assume command." Bennion said. "And you make sure the gunners..."

"Everyone's where they need to be, Captain." Dorie said. "You trained us well. You trained us well."

Then Bennion started to grow weaker.

"Captain..." Dorie said.

Then, Bennion's life fades completely.

Then an explosion was heard outside.

"Aah!" Dorie yelled.

With no time to grieve, Dorie quickly rushed off.

Meanwhile, Evelyn and the other nurses and other people flee for their lives as the planes flew over them.

Evelyn and Sandra quickly ducked behind a fountain as bullets rained down from a passing Zero.

Betty and other people kept running as bullets rained down, and then an explosion plumes in front of her.

Evelyn and Sandra quickly ran.

At the airfield, pilots and other men quickly rushed out as an air-raid siren rang.

Zeros flew by as 2 men on a hanger roof fired rifles, but then were shot down by a few passing Zeros.

Red, Anthony and another man rushed to open the canopy of the plane.

Nearby, the Convertible Coupe quickly rushed in and stopped.

"Get out!" Rafe yelled climbing out of the car. "Get down!"

Many men ran across the airfield as other fired rifles at the Zeros as Rafe and Danny hid by the car. Then a P-40 starting up was struck as then bullets rained down hitting a hanger roof, and then a Douglas DC-3 was struck and exploded as it's right landing gear leg broke and the plane collapsed and the plane explodes heavily in flames.

Rafe and Danny quickly rushed off.

"Come on!" Rafe yelled.

A Zero flew through the smoke and fires bullets as a truck then exploded as Rafe, Danny and several other men ducked behind a jeep as a P-40 caught flames letting out a screeching explosion.

"Danny, get me into a damn plane!" Rafe said.

"Come on!" Danny yelled rushing off.

Meanwhile, the Zeros continued their attack on the harbor as they flew towards the ships firing bullets.

On the West Virginia, Dorie crawled across the deck as gunners at the A.A. guns continued firing at the planes.

"Get some ammo up here!" An officer yelled through a microphone as Dorie approached him. "We need some men on these guns!"

"Sir!" Dorie yelled as he turns to him. "The captain says you're in charge, sir!"

The officer nodded understanding. "We need more ammo! Now!"

"Send up ammunition for the 5-inch guns!" Another officer yelled.

The sailors continued firing rifles at the Zeros.

"Medic!" A sailor yelled.

Dorie crawled over to a medic tending a wounded sailor trying to help.

"All of 'em, now!" An officer yelled.

"Aah!" The man cried in pain.

Sailors continued firing as one clutching a Jack Russell Terrier took a bullet in the neck and soon limped, and the Terrier rushed off to find cover.

Dorie then turns to an A.A. gun and lifts it up, though he never fired a weapon in his entire time with the Navy, he knew it was do or die. He then grabs the firearm, pulls it back loading the gun. And then started firing at any passing Zero.

"AAH! AAH! AAH!" Dorie yelled.

The Zeros continued flying by as Dorie kept firing.

"COME ON!" Dorie yelled.

He then fires at a Zero coming towards him.

"AAH! COME ON!" Dorie yelled. "COME ON, YOU SUM 'BITCH! AAH!"

He continues firing as the Zero flew closer, and then it's wing broke off as it soared over Dorie as he ducked. And the plane flew as it then crashed into a crane.

"AAH HA!" Dorie cheered. "OH, YEAH!"

This bravery will lead to shooting down 3 more planes, and eventually be the first Black American to be awarded with the Navy Cross.

Meanwhile, several peopled rushed into the Naval Hospital.

"I need a doctor!" A man yelled. "Somebody help me!"

"Take a deep breath." A man said carrying a wounded man. "Come on, breathe."

Evelyn soon entered the building.

"Get to the supply room!" Evelyn said.

She and the nurses rushed to the supply room.

"Get everything out!" Evelyn said.

"Grab what you can!" Astrid said.

They started gathering what they can grab.

They quickly rushed into a hall with a few patients in beds and soon started grabbing more items.

"Aah!" Sandra cried.

"PLANES INCOMING!" A man yelled.

Suddenly the room shook for a few moments.

"Cut 'em down!" A doctor said rushing into the hall.

Evelyn quickly grabs a razor and unfolds it as Astrid grabbed a scalpel.

"Come on, come on!" The doctor said. "Get 'em away from the windows!"

Evelyn quickly rushed over and cuts the bandage holding a man's arm up, and they quickly worked getting them cut loose. They then helped them up and got them against the wall.

"Get 'em up against the walls!" Sandra yelled as they started grabbing the mattresses. "The mattresses!"

The mattresses were placed over them as a man shouted and Evelyn quickly took cover.

Outside, people fled as a bomb drops down and then exploded sending a car into the air.

The explosion rips through the windows as they took cover.

Outside, the car rolled as it then hits the pavement.

Inside, bits of the wall dropped as the dust soon begins to clear as Evelyn coughed.

"Is everybody all right?" A nurse asked.

"Can you stand?" Martha asked. "Can you stand?"

Astrid shook her head as the side of it was bleeding.

At the airfield, soldiers fired rifles at the planes.

"Hold your fire!" Danny yelled as he, Rafe and Hiccup rushed forward.

The soldiers raised their guns up letting them pass.

"Get to the gun!" A man yelled. "Hurry up!"

They quickly rushed into a gym.

"Oh! Shit!" Rafe exclaimed. "Get down, Danny!"

Danny quickly rushed to a deck and to a telephone as Rafe looked out a window.

2 D3A1s flew by outside.

Rafe then quickly rushed behind a column. "Aah!"

"Get that phone going!" Hiccup yelled.

Danny quickly works on the phone as Gooz was hiding the desk clutching a boxing glove fearfully like a teddy bear as the ground shook.

At a hanger, Earl rushed to a ringing phone.

"Earl!" He answered it.

"This is Walker!"

"We need to get those planes fueled and loaded right now!" Danny said.

"What's going on out there?" Gooz asked. "Huh?"

Earl can hear the muffled explosions.

"Danny, what the hell's-"

"-that noise? You guys doin' target practice or something?"

"I think World War II just started!" Danny said.

Billy and the other soldier quickly got the 50 caliber loaded as Billy pulls back the firearm as bullets rain down.

"Jeez!" The solider exclaimed.

Billy then started firing at the Zeros.

Meanwhile, Red climbed inside the P-40 as he and Anthony then looked back.

"Go, go, go!" A man yelled.

Everyone fled as a passing D3A1 flew by releasing a bomb, and it hits the pavement as it bounced across it like a stone stepping across water.

A man jumps out of the way of it. "HOLY!"

Billy and the soldier saw the incoming bomb, and quickly ducked as the bomb hits the side of a fuel tank and drops right in front of Billy as it's rotor spun.

"BILLY!" Anthony yelled.

"RUN!" Red yelled.

Everyone near the bunker quickly fled.

"It's gonna blow!" A man yelled.

Billy watched as the bomb's rotor kept spinning.

"It's a dud." Billy said.

Everyone quickly ran as Billy and the soldier got up.

"It's a dud!" Billy called out.

A fatal mistake.

The bomb's rotor then stopped.

Then a massive explosion rips through the air violently and grows as a few soldiers jumped behind a bunker. And the explosion grew larger.

In the gym, Danny looked out the window and quickly ducks as the explosion grew and took out a P-40.

"TAKE COVER!" Hiccup yelled and ducked.

Rafe ducked covering his head as the explosion rips through the wall.

"Come on, get down!" A pilot yelled running off.

"DANNY! DANNY, ARE YOU ALL RIGHT?!" Rafe yelled rushing over to him.

"I'M ALL RIGHT!" Danny yelled.

"Come on, let's go!" Rafe yelled helping him up. "Come on, let's go!"

"Gooz, come on, man!" Danny yelled.

They quickly rushed off.

They quickly drove off.

"Come on!" Danny yelled.

"Where's this place we're goin'?" Rafe asked.

"We got a small mechanic runway about 10 minutes away." Danny said. "Hasn't been yet."

"At least for now." Hiccup noted.

They continued driving as then a team of 3 D3A1s and 3 B5N2s were behind them.

"We got Zeros on our six!" Joe yelled.

They quickly turned as they watched as 2 D3A1s flew by them.

"Duck!" Rafe yelled.

An A6M Zero closes in on them as it then fires as they quickly ducked, and the plane soars by them leaving bullet holes on the Coupe.

They soon lift their heads up as Rafe saw the 2 bullet holes on the windshields where their heads could've been.

Meanwhile, the attack on the harbor continues as Zeros soared and a ship was struck by a torpedo.

A B5N2 soars over the water, once locked onto it's target, it's torpedo was released and hits the water.

The water glides through the water under the many sailors at the surface as another followed.

And many other sailors were in the water as well as an American flag.

The Oklahoma continues rolling as many were swimming to avoid getting trapped under the ship.

"Oh, my God! I'm going under!" A sailor yelled.

Metal grinded as many sailors quickly swam as some were being pulled back from the sinking ship.

"It's sucking me back!" A sailor yelled.

"The current's too strong!" Another yelled.

Zeros continue flying by as one fires at the sailors in the water.

Underwater, some sailors dove under as muffled gunfire hits the water and some dove by the rocks to avoid getting shot.

At the surface, the Zeros continued firing.

"They're shootin' at us!" A sailor yelled.

The Zeros continued firing as a sailor underwater was struck and lets out a muffled scream in pain.

The Zeros continued firing.

In the Oklahoma's hull, a young sailor quickly climbs to a higher spot from the water gasping.

"I don't wanna die!" He cried. "I don't wanna die! I don't wanna die!"

The mechanic dives back under and tries to get the door free as he bangs it with a bar making muffled thumping through the water.

The thumping can be heard from outside the ship as many sailors swam by.

At the surface, screaming continues as many sailors climbed onto the Oklahoma's exposed underside.

In the hull, the young sailor was trapped as the water continues rising.

"This is it." The mechanic said.

"Get us out of here now!" A sailor yelled.

The mechanic then took a deep breath and went under.

"How bad?" He asked.

Evelyn then quickly rushed off as many other injured people kept coming in.

"Evelyn, we're running out of room!" Astrid yelled.

"Fill up the kitchen!" Evelyn yelled. "Fill up the kit- Are you listening to me?! Fill up the kitchen!"

They quickly rushed to the kitchen and started clearing the tables.

"Over there!" Sandra yelled as an injured man was brought in. "Over there!"

They quickly started bringing more injured men.

"We got a bad neckwound here!" A doctor yelled. "We got a bad neckwound!"

"Surgery! Move!" Evelyn said rushing over to them. "Get him to surgery! Oh, God. In here!"

"He's still bleeding!" Another doctor said. "Another hemostat! Hemostat."

"Give me a hemostat now!" A doctor yelled.

Sandra quickly opens the cabinet and quickly grabs what she could grab.

"Damn it, hurry!" The doctor yelled.

The man with the neck wound was quickly placed on the table.

"Gimme another hemostat!" The doctor said. "Another suture! Hurry!"

Sandra tries to hurry with the tray, but with her nerves shot beyond peak she suddenly lost control.

"Give me a..." Sandra then accidentally dropped the tray. "Oh, God, I'm so sorry!"

In the room, Evelyn pressed down on the man's wound to stop the blood from flowing out.

"Doctor!" Evelyn yelled.

"Here! Aah!" Sandra cried handing the doctor a hemostat.

Evelyn removes the cloth to check the wound as then blood squirted out and splatters on her.

"Am I gonna die?" The man asked now shaking. "Am I gonna die? NURSE!"

Almost hesitantly, Evelyn then pressed 2 of her fingers down hard on the wound to stop the bleeding.

"Doctor! Get over here!" Evelyn yelled.

A doctor quickly rushed over.

"My fingers are plugging his artery!" Evelyn said to him. "Doctor, what do you?" She saw the doctor's horrified look on his face. "Doctor. Focus, look at me. What do you need?"

"H-H-Hemostat." The doctor said trying to keep it together.

"Hemostat." Evelyn said and grabs a hemostat. "Here. All right, look at me. You're gonna be all right. You're gonna be all right."

Over 250 miles north, the Japanese were sailing off.

"We have bombed battleship row and the major airfields." A Japanese solider said. "Now we must hit the smaller airfields."

"I need more ammo!" Earl yelled as they hurried. "I need more ammo, ladies!"

Danny's Coupe soon arrived.

"I need more ammo!" Earl yelled.

"Earl!" Danny yelled. "We good to go?!"

"Yeah." Earl said. "Mostly, but..."

"Get down! Get down!" A man yelled.

"Shit! Get cover!" Rafe exclaimed as they rushed to the hanger.

"Incoming!" Hiccup yelled.

"Oh, Je... Jesus!" Danny cried.

Earl then pulls out a Model 1897 Trench shotgun from a motorcycle and starts firing at a few passing Zeros as everyone took cover in the hanger.

"Come on, you guys!" A man yelled.

"Earl, get in here!" Danny yelled.

Earl continues firing as the last Zero flies by.

"Hey, Sergeant!" Rafe said. "They come back around, we're gonna need more than a shotgun! You got any other weapons and ammo we can lay us for coverfire?!"

"Yeah, inside that ammo locker!" Earl said.

"Come on." Danny said.

"Let's go." Earl said. "Move it."

They quickly rushed to the locker as Hiccup quickly broke the lock off with a wrench. And they quickly start grabbing what they could.

"Go! Go!" Anthony yelled.

"Get the guns out!" Joe yelled.

"You said the planes are mostly ready, but... but what?" Danny asked as he, Rafe and Hiccup went up to Earl.

"Well she's down, she's broke, she's shit." Earl gestured to 3 P-40s."I got 4 left." He turns to 4 remaining P-40s."One's good to go, 2 need ammo, one needs fuel."

"Fall out and load up in the bunker!" Rafe said.

They quickly rushed off.

"Let's go! Get down!" Rafe yelled.

"Get move!" Earl yelled.

"Get ready to roll this thing!" Danny yelled. "Get down! Now! All right, Anthony, Red, you 2 are gonna stay here and man 50-calibre. Gooz, get up the next bunker and lay down some coverfire, all right?"

Gooz finishes loading the 50-calibre and closes the cover. "Planes."

3 B5N2s were seen in the air as Rafe saw them.

"Should we fire?" Gooz inquired.

Red finishes loading his gun.

"Stay down. Stay down." Rafe said placing his hand on the 50 cal. "No, goddammit. Hold your fire. Stay still. Nobody fire."

"Oh, God, oh, God, oh, God." Red cried.

They watched the Zeros fly by closer and they looked they haven't noticed them.

"They don't know we're here." Rafe said.

They all stayed low as the planes flew closer.

"Stay down." Rafe said.

"Fire?" Gooz inquired.

"No, no, no, no, goddammit." Rafe said. "They don't know we're here. Stay down, stay still. Don't fire."

They stayed silent as Gooz remained on the 50 cal's trigger.

"Oh, God." Red said softly.

They watched as the last of the planes fly off as the newsreel films them flying off.

"I don't see any ordnance." Earl said looking binoculars watching them leave. "I think they're going home."

"No. They'll be back." Rafe said. "We still got planes on the ground."

"A second wave could be on their way." Hiccup said.

"All right. You pilots, listen up." Rafe said. "Get all the airspeed you can coming off the runway, don't get on the stick till you get to the very end. When you get in the air, stay low between the buildings. You see any Zero on your tail, try to wipe him off, don't freeze. All right? Just keep moving."

Earl then noticed a number of Zeros high above and looks through binoculars as they were just some of the 170 planes in the second wave for the attack.

"We're gonna try to break 'em up and separate 'em." Rafe said.

"And we can take 'em out one by one." Danny said.

"That's right." Rafe said. "P-40s can't outrun Zeros, so don't try. We're just gonna have to outfly 'em."

"We got high-level bombers!" Earl said. "They're gonna bust this hanger wide open!"

Rafe soon saw them.

"Grab the fifties! Let's move!" Earl yelled.

They all yelled as they rushed over the bunker and made a run for the remaining P-40s.

"Move! Move!" Rafe yelled.

"Go, go, go!" A pilot yelled.

In the air, 2 A6M-Zeros begin to close in.

Rafe soon saw them.

"Zeros!" He yelled.

He, Danny and Hiccup fired at the planes.

"Take cover! Take cover!" Rafe yelled.

3 Zeros begin to close in as the newsreel tries to film them as they hurried to the next bunker.

"Take cover!" Take cover!" Rafe yelled.

The 3 Zeros begin to close in as they ran, and they started firing as any pilots dropped down onto the pavement begin struck.

"Get down! Get down!" Earl yelled as he and some pilots took cover in a bunker from the raining bullets. "Let's go! In the box!"

The other pilots continued as the newsreel momentarily stopped while filming, but then was struck himself and drops onto the pavement dead. The remaining pilots continued running as some dropped dead as Danny hits the pavement and fires at the passing planes as the newsreel's body was next to him.

Rafe soon saw him.

"Danny!" Rafe yelled running over to him.

Several bullets struck the pavement as Danny rushed the Newsreel's body thinking he might be alive still.

"Come on!" He yelling shaking him. "Come on, buddy!"

"Leave him, he's dead!" Rafe yelled. "He's dead!"

Then a falling bomb falls through the hanger, and a second later a large explosion rips through the hanger as the shockwave knocked everyone near it off their feet. The dust soon lifts as Rafe coughed.

"All right, they're kicking our butt." Earl said. "Get to the airplanes! Let's go. Let's go! Go, go, go!"

They all shouted as they rushed over to the remaining planes.

"Danny, run!" Rafe yelled as they got up.

"Red, Anthony, let's go!" Danny yelled.

They hurried to the planes some pilots fired at the flying Zero overhead.

"Hey, come on, help me!" Gooz said grabbing bullet belts. "Damn it! Grab these belts!"

He and another moved the 50 cal to a different spot on the bunker.

Zeros circled in the air.

Danny and the other pilots ran as the Zero flew by, and Gooz fires the 50 caliber at them as one trails smoke.

Rafe quickly climbs into a P-40.

"Knock 'em dead." Red said as Rafe placed a headset on.

"Quick. Get in." Anthony said as Danny got into another P-40. "Here, put this on." He gives him a headset.

Hiccup quickly got into a P-40 and start's it's engine.

3 Zeros begin to circle towards the hanger.

"They're coming around." A pilot yelled.

"Bring 'em out!" Another yelled. "Let's go! Go, go, go, go, go!"

One Zero fires at the hanger as the bullets pierce through and the P-40 in it explodes as a pilot yelled as he was struck.

Danny and Anthony turned to the hanger as the damaged P-40's engine dies.

"Red, get out of here, God damn it!" Rafe yelled. "All right?! Go, go!"

His plane soon starts up as it's propeller spun.

"Come on, let's go." Joe said in a P-40 almost ready.

"Joe, get out of the way!" Rafe yelled.

"Joe, get outta here while you stay can!" Hiccup yelled.

"I'm rollin'! I'm rollin'!" Joe yelled.

Joe's P-40 starts rolling off.

"Clear! Clear! Go!" A pilot yelled.

"Oh, God. Planes!" Gooz yelled.

In the air, the 3 Zeros were beginning to circle back.

"Come on, help me!" Gooz yelled. "Damn it!"

Earl soon saw the approaching planes and grabs a radio to warn Joe.

"Hey, Joe." Earl called. "Joe, you got 3 Zeros right behind you. You got 3 Zeros on your six."

Joe quickly looked back and saw the 3 Zeros beginning to head towards him.

Gooz and the other pilot quickly moved the 50 caliber as Danny saw Joe in trouble. And Joe's P-40 speeds across the runway with the 3 Zeros right behind him closing in. Gooz started firing to give cover fire as the Zeros locked onto their target.

"TURN! TURN!" Earl yelled.

Joe's P-40 just got off the ground as the 3 Zeros started firing and just took a hit on the wing.

"Oh, God!" Joe yelled as it was in trouble.

The Zeros continued firing as then the engine was struck as Joe screamed and then the P-40 explodes and soon hits the ground and skids several yards as the Zero flew by.

"Oh, shit." Gooz said.

"What are you doing?" Anthony said. "Get going. Get moving."

"Danny, start that thing up and get in the air now." Rafe said. "I'm not much good without a wingman. I need you!"

"I got you!" Danny said.

Danny's P-40 starts up as it's propeller spun.

"Let's do it!" Danny yelled.

His plane starts rolling off as Rafe and Hiccup soon followed as a passing Zero flew by. Then an explosion struck the hanger as then a tower tips over and fell as Zeros flew by.

"It's real tight, Rafe." Danny said. "It's real tight."

Earl and the other pilots ran to the bunker.

2 Zeros flew through the trailing smoke as one soon spotted the 3 P-40s on the ground speeding to get liftoff and they begin to chase after them.

"Hey, Rafe, I'm not sure we have enough runway!" Danny said.

"Get your airspeed up before you leave the dirt!" Rafe said.

"Don't freeze. Don't freeze." Danny said.

Soon the 3 P-40s start to take off into the air.

"I don't think I'm gonna make it above it" Danny said.

"Come on! Come on!" Rafe gritted his teeth pulling the stick back hard.

They then flew over the building as soldiers fired at approaching Zeros, and then they fired back as some dropped to the floor as they kept firing.

"We did it!" Rafe said. "I'm up!"

They flew through the smoke as the Zeros were behind them still.

"We got Zeros behind us, Rafe." Danny yelled.

2 Zeros flew out of the smoke.

"How many'd you see back there!" Rafe asked.

The Zeros started firing at them.

"We got 5 on our six!" Danny said.

They flew through the air as the Zeros fired at them, and Earl saw the team of Zero fly over them.

"Take it down to the deck, Danny. Now!" Rafe said.

The 3 P-40s dove down near the ground as people yelled as they rushed out of the way, and the Zero fired as a truck was struck and exploded.

"We gotta split 'em up, Danny." Rafe said. "You take left, I'll take right."

They then split up as Hiccup went with Rafe.

And they bypass a tower as Zeros flew into different direction going after them.

"Earl, you better get some guns in that goddamn tower up there!" Rafe yelled.

"OK! OK!" Earl said. "Let's go! Into the truck! Let's go!"

They quickly rushed off to the truck.

In the air, Rafe and Hiccup flew through the air as the Zeros chased after them.

"Danny, I got 3 on my six." Rafe said.

In the Zero closest to him, the pilot reloads the plane's guns and starts firing at Rafe's and Hiccup's plane as they flew by the harbor. And bullets hit the water, and then a soldier at a 50 caliber fires at one of the Zeros, and it was struck and crashed into a tower knocking it down as it's left wing broke off.

"Whoo!" Rafe cheered.

He and Hiccup flew through the air with the 2 remaining Zeros right behind them.

Meanwhile, the truck arrives at the tower.

"Stop!" Earl yelled banging on the truck's roof. "Stop! Let's go! Let's go! Move it! Move it, Red!"

They quickly climbed out of the truck.

"Let's go! Move it." Earl said.

"Gimme the fifty!" Gooz yelled.

They quickly hurried towards the tower.

"Let's go! Let's go!" Earl yelled. "All right!"

They quickly hurried up the steps as soldiers close by fired at any Zeros flying by.

Meanwhile, Danny flew through a cloud of trailing smoke.

"I still got 2 behind me, Rafe." Danny said.

The 2 Zeros flew out of the smoke, and they chased after Danny firing bullets as they flew by some people on the ground rushing to help those that were wounded.

Rafe and Huiccup continued flying as the Zeros fired at them.

"YAAH!" Rafe yelled.

They flew through the air as bullets flew by them just missing them.

"Son of a bitch!" Rafe cursed.

They then flew towards some buildings as Rafe and Hiccup flew through the gap between them.

"Whoa!" Rafe yelled.

They flew around as a Zero was right behind them.

"Earl, do you hear me?! God damn it, get some guns in that tower!" Rafe yelled.

"On the tower." Earl said heading up. "Yeah. Going 10 stories up. It's a long son of a bitch."

Elsewhere, Danny flew through the air as the 2 Zeros were still behind him as one fires at him.

Danny then flew lwoer as they flew by some hangers as many people ran.

"Rafe, they're all over me!" Danny yelled. "I can't get them off me!"

The Zero fires at him as they flew and many men ran on the airfield.

"Danny, I still got 3 on my tail!" Rafe said.

Rafe and Hiccup flew as as the 3 Zeros were behind them.

"Keep jinking it!" Rafe said. "Don't let them get a handle on you!"

"I can't shake 'em, Rafe!" Danny cried.

He flew through the air with the Zeros behind him.

"I don't know how much longer we can keep this up." Hiccup said.

"God damn it." Rafe cursed and looked back for a moment. "Danny, let's play some chicken with these Jap suckers!"

"All right, I'm with you." Danny said.

He continues flying through the air as the Zero behind fires at him.

"Jesus!" Danny exclaimed as the bullet flew by so close.

Rafe and Hiccup were starting to come in at the opposite direction as the Zero behind Danny continues firing.

"I'm coming right at you, Rafe!" Danny said.

"Don't brake till I tell you." Rafe said. "Hold on."

Danny's P-40 flew near the hangers with the Zero's behind him.

"Not yet! Not yet!" Rafe yelled.

Rafe and Hiccup's P-40 begin to close in.

"Come on! Come on!" Danny said all ready.

"Let's get 'em!" Hiccup said.

They begin to close in on each other.

"Go left!" Rafe said. "NOW!"

They all turned left.

They soon near each other as the 3 P-40s narrowly bypass each other, and the Zeros found themselves avoiding each other as 4 ended up crashing into each other.

"Whoo! We did it!" Rafe cheered.

"Ha ha ha!" Danny laughed.

"Set up over there!" Earl yelled.

They started getting the guns ready.

"Come on, load it!" Gooz yelled as Red straighten the bullet belt.

"OK. We're at the top of the tower." Earl said calling Rafe.

Rafe flew through the air with a Zero behind him.

"Earl, I got one on my tail." Rafe said. "I'll bring him right by you."

"He's comin' around! He's comin' around!" Earl yelled. "Let's get these Jap sucker!"

They all got ready.

Rafe started flying towards the tower leading the Zero.

"Hold your fire, hold your fire." Earl said. "Here he comes."

Rafe continues leading the Zero towards the tower as a soldier on the ground fires at the plane.

"You better be cocked and locked when I come by there!" Rafe said.

The aimed their guns at the Zero as they flew closer and Rafe flipped his plane sideways.

"Hold your fire!" Earl said.

They watched as then Rafe's plane flew by.

"FIRE!" Earl yelled firing his shotgun.

They all fired at the Zero as it passes by, and the pilot then took a hit on the head. The Zero soon trails smokes as it descends, and then hits the roof of a building exploding and hits the ground.

"WHOO!" Rafe cheered. "Good shootin', boys! Nice shot, Earl! Now let's head over to battleship row!"

"I'm with you!" Danny said.

Smoke billows from one of the damaged ships, and Rafe, Danny and Hiccup flew through the smoke.

"Let's go do some business." Rafe said.

They soon sighted 4 Zeros.

"I'm going after 'em." Danny said.

They soon begin to chased after the Zeros like birds of prey, and they soon they started shooting at the Zeros. And soon one took a hit on the wing, and then it's tail and left wing broke off as it fell and then exploded.

"Rafe! I got him!" Danny yelled.

In the water, many sailors cheered.

"P-40's!" A sailor cheered.

"Yeah!" Another cheered.

The remaining 3 Zeros started to fall back as they fly off.

"They're pulling out into the clouds, Danny." Rafe said. "We ain't gonna let these sons of bitches get home!"

"Not on our watch!" Hiccup said.

They started chasing down the Zeros as Rafe and Hiccup spotted one and chase after it.

"How do you like it when someone shooting back at you?" Rafe glared at it.

They chased after the Zero through the clouds and start firing at it.

"Oh, I'm on your ass now!" Rafe glared.

They continued firing as the Zero was soon stuck and it's right wing broke off as it fell.

"Yeah! I got one!" Rafe cheered.

Elsewhere in the sky, Danny soon locks onto a second Zero like a falcon after a pigeon.

"Come on!" Danny glared.

The P-40's engine roared as it fires as the Zero as the pilots tries to avoid getting hit. The aerial chases continues as they flew through the clouds.

"God, come on!" Danny yelled.

He continues firing at the Zero as it tries to avoid being shot down as a bullet grazed it's wing as they twirled through the air.

"Come on, stay in there, stay in there!" Danny yelled.

He then fires at the Zero and starts to close in, and soon the plane was struck on the left wing as it snaps off and the Zero falls.

"Whoa!" Danny cheered.

Meanwhile, Rafe and Hiccup locked onto the last remaining Zero as they closed in.

"I got you, son of a bitch!" Rafe said.

The bullets flew as the Zero's tail broke off, and soon starts falling as the pilot was forced to eject and the right wing broke off as the damaged plane fell.

At the Japanese carrier fleet, an officer calls out.

"Colonel Fuchida reports... "Tremendous Victory. Many ships destroyed". Another officer reported.

Another officer heads into the bridge.

"Out of 353 planes, we have only lost 29." The officer reported. "We are prepared to launch a third wave, Admiral."

"We no longer have surprise." Yamamoto said.

The officer stared.

"We will withdraw the third wave." Yamamoto said.

"Admiral!" The officer said.

Yamamoto turns away.

9:45

Nearly 2 hours have pass since the attack started, Edwin heads outside seeing the Zeros were falling back.

"Sir, where are they going?" An officer asked.

"Back to their carriers." Edwin said. "Drive out to the radio direction finder and report back to me."

"Yes, sir." The officer said and rushed off.

Clamor fills the air as many helped those that were wounded, and Edwin was shocked of what has happened.

At the airfield, everyone was now relaxing as the worse was finally over.

And Earl went up to a P-40 rolling to a stop. And soon Danny climbed out.

"Who taught you how to fly, Lieutenant?" Earl asked.

"He did." Danny said turning to Rafe.

Rafe stood on the wing of his plane, and Earl nodded.

At the hospital, nurses and doctors were still working overtime to help the wounded as shouting and screaming fill the rooms and halls.

"I know it hurts!" Evelyn said tending a wounded man screaming.

"I have to amputate here!" A man called out. "I have to amputate!"

"You're not gonna die!" Evelyn said.

"I got you." Sandra said tending another wounded man. "Hold onto this..."

"Sandra, we're running out of morphine." The man said. "We've gotta mark 'em. Find some way to mark 'em so we can keep track of who's who. Got the morphine."

Sandra looked around and saw a red pencil.

"Tell me about your ship." Sandra said turning to write on the man's forehead. "What ship are you from? It's not marking. No, my... Evelyn you got a marker?"

Evelyn quickly looked through her purse and grabbed her lipstick.

"Use my lipstick!" Evelyn said. "Put "M" for morphine."

"Evelyn, we need a tourniquet!" The man yelled.

"Tourniquet!" Evelyn said quickly rushing off.

"Where are the clamps?" He asked as Martha hands some clamps.

Evelyn quickly looks through the cabinets and drawers but saw that they were empty.

"There's nothing left!" Evelyn said.

She then removes her legging and hurries back.

"Evelyn!" The officer said.

"Her, use this." Evelyn said giving it to him.

"I need you go outside." The officer said. "There's too many to help. OK? You gotta sort them out. Only those that can be saved you bring in here. You got that?

"I can't..." Evelyn said.

"No, please, do it, I need you to do it!" The officer said. "Go! Go!"

Seeing no other choice, Evelyn quickly hurries through the halls.

Outside, many wounded people started to gather a truck opened and Evelyn got outside and saw many wounded men by the dozens.

"AAH!" A man yelled in agonizing pain and was black from crude oil from the harbor.

Eveyln watched as many gathered as she couldn't make out how many were truly around. Other doctors and nurse rushed out to help.

"Evelyn, get it together." Astrid said. "We gotta help as many as we can."

Evelyn then got her senses back.

"Don't let anyone in without a mark!" Evelyn said to a doctor.

"Hey back, I told you, stay back!" A guard said.

"Stay outside. Keep 'em outside." Evelyn said.

"Everyone, please! Stay outside!" Astrid said.

"Come on! Let's go!" A man yelled.

Evelyn quickly checks on a wounded man and marks his forehead as shouting was heard through the crowd.

"Wait here." Evelyn said.

She went over to an Asian doctor tending a wounded man.

"Don't touch me, you Jap!" He cried. "Get your hands off me!"

"Calm down!" Astrid said.

"He's critical. Get him into critical." The doctor said.

Evelyn marked a C on the man's forehead.

"Critical, frontward!" Evelyn called out.

She then went over to another wounded man.

"How bad am I?" He asked in pain.

"You're gonna be just fine, sweetheart." Evelyn said examining him.

"I don't wanna die." He cried.

"You're not gonna die, sweetheart, I've got your hand." Evelyn said and marked an F on his forehead and turns to the soldier holding him. "Do you have enough morphine to make him comfortable? He's not gonna make it."

"Line the critical up!" Sandra said guiding them.

"We're gonna help everyone!" Heather said.

"Get him morphine." Evelyn said. "Take him over there!"

"Take the burnt victims by the tree!" Sandra said.

"I just found her!" A man said holding a woman with her face cover by her hair. "I don't... I don't think she's breathing."

Evelyn takes her heartbeat but heard nothing. "No, she's dead. Take her..."

Evelyn moves aside her hair, and then saw it was Betty who was sadly killed in the carnage from rushing to the hospital earlier.

"Oh, God." Sandra cried as they were heartbroken. "Oh. Are you sure, Ev? Could you check her 1 more time."

"She's dead." Evelyn said. "Take her over there!"

"But you've gotta be sure!" Sandra cried.

"She's dead!" Evelyn said. "Go back to work, Sandra."

"I don't know what to do!" Sandra cried.

Betty's body was soon placed along with the other bodies.

Evelyn looked around at the crowd as muffled yelling was heard.

At Pearl Harbor, a boat passes by the ships that were still burning.

A body was soon lifted out of the water, and bodies were littered across the harbor by the hundreds. And some sailors cling to the ropes in the water, and others in boats try to help in any way they can.

In one of them, Dorie was helping out as well.

Moaning and crying fill the air as some sailors fell into the water, and some hang onto the chains with dear life.

In one of the boat, sailors moved aside the many bodies as they were sadden as many they once knew.

2 other boats arrived as Kimmel was on one of them as he saw the sailors stranded on decks of damaged sinks still sticking out of the water.

One of the ship decks still out of the water, a Jack Russell Terrier that has survived the carnage, swims over to a sailor and grabs and pulls him out of the water.

"Over here!" A sailor yelled.

"Admiral?" An aide said. "From Washington."

Kimmel grabs a file. "'Attack by Japan considered imminent"." But he knew well it was long too late. "They're only an hour late."

He then tossed the sheet into the water.

Nearby, the rowboat Dorie was in nears what was left of the Arizona, and pulls out the flag of the ship from the water with a harpoon. Breaking into tears, Dorie held the flag tightly.

"Congratulations." Commander Genda said.

"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant." Yamamoto said.

And he has little idea how right he was of what is to come in just months.

In Pearl Harbor's hospital, a hand coated red with blood twitches as Rafe, Danny and Hiccup wandered through the hall as screams and moans echoed through the halls.

They soon saw Evelyn who looked so exhausted she was near the point of collapse. Astrid too also she was about to drop to her knees.

"How can we help?" Rafe asked.

"We need blood." Evelyn said. "Come on."

They were soon in a room getting ready for a blood transfusion.

"Remember, son, hold on to your faith." A priest said tending a wounded African American. "Remember what Jesus said: "Today you will be with me in paradise, so fear not. Fear not, my son. You are a man truly blessed. Truly blessed. You will die in a state of grace. Remember, pain is temporary, but glory is forever. Hold on to your faith, my son."

Soon, blood started being poured into empty Coca-Cola bottles.

"'You'll be with God, all the saints, and all the angels very soon'." The priest continued. "'I absolve you of your sins in the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Innomine patris et fili et sancti. Amen."

The man then limped, and the priest closed his eyes.

"Go with God, my son." The priest said.

They remained silent.

The footsteps were heard as an officer appeared.

"We've got men trapped everywhere in the harbor." He said. "We need help from anybody who can move."

A grinding rumble occurred as many men were on the Oklahoma's underside trying to free the trapped sailors inside.

Inside, many of the trapped sailors shouted and banged on the pipes trying to get the attention from outside.

They banged and yelled hoping someone will hear them through the metal.

Outside, a sailor manages to pinpoint them.

"There's somebody in here!" He yelled. "Get somebody down here!"

Inside, sparks started to flew as they start cutting through.

"They're cutting through!" A sailor said.

They all cheered.

Rafe, Danny and Hiccup along with many others helped the trapped Oklahoma sailors out from her haul.

"I hear somebody!" A man yelled. "Get some guys up here!"

"Pull!" A number of men pulled on a rope.

A total of 32 will be saved, but the Oklahoma has already lost 429 men. Among them was a sailor from North Carolina.

On another damaged ship, 2 officers were working on the double to open up a hole on the metal frame.

"Get us outta here." A man cried muffled from inside.

"The room's filling up with water." Another cried.

"Get an airline in here!" An officer said as the other banged the metal with a wrench.

A sailor inside screams out desperately for help.

They continued working quickly to open up the hole as Rafe, Danny and Hiccup arrived hoping to help.

"We need the air hose!" An officer said.

"What can we do?" Danny asked.

They hurried to open up the hole as water started gushing out and 3 hands stick out in desperation as gurgled cries were heard underneath.

"It won't cut any faster!" The officer said.

The gurgling cries continued they grabbed their hands.

"Cut him out!" Danny yelled.

"Aah!" The officer yelled.

Soon the hands started to lose life as they twitched and soon limped, and water continues flowing out of the hole as the hands remained lifelessly still.

December 8, 1941

President Roosevelt held his out as he was helped up and cameras flashed.

"Yesterday, December 7, 1941, a date which will live in infamy, the United States of America, was suddenly and deliberately attacked, by naval and air forces of the empire of Japan." Roosevelt started one of the greatest speeches ever heard.

At Pearl Harbor, many were putting out fires and recovering bodies as some were beyond identification. And mainland American also listened to his speech.

"It is obvious that planning the attack began many weeks ago. During the intervening time the Japanese government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements... and expressions of hope for continued peace. The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian Islands has caused severe damage to American military forces. I regret to tell you that many American lives have been lost. No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people, in their righteous might, will win through absolute victory."

Everyone then clapped an applause.

"Because of this unprovoked, dastardly attack by Japan, I ask that the Congress declare a state of war." Roosevelt finished his speech.

The whole room is filled with an applause.

2,403 people were killed in the attack, 1,143 wounded, and over half victims were from the Arizona alone, the burning flames from the ship burned for 2 days. The USS Utah has also suffered the same fate capsizing with a number of men trapped inside.

A soldier playing a trumpet of The Last Port as many gathered in a hanger were the victims of the attack were in caskets as friends, families and other people who knew them gathered.

"And where is God in all this?" A minster said. "Our enemies believe that a divine wind protects them. But we see our friends laid out here before us."

Close by, Red stood by the casket with Betty's memorial and sadly got on his knees as Evelyn placed a hand on his shoulder. And an entire future of them together was gone.

Close by, Dorie went up to Captain Mervyn's casket.

"Hey, Captain." Dorie greeted.

He then saluted.

Evelyn turns to Dorie as he turns to her, and he nodded and walks off.

Hiccup and Astrid then hugged each other.

80 Years Later

80 years have have pass since the attack, and what happened in Pearl Harbor was now a distant memory. But not forgotten. World War II eventually ended in 1945, and Japan finally surrendered on August 9th. Pearl Harbor was avenged with the Doolittle Raid and the Battle of Midway. The USS Arizona still lays in her resting place where she sank 8 decades ago, along with the 1,177 souls trapped inside. And every now and then, a victim from the attack was ID like North Carolina resident Edward E. Talbert who was among the 429 sailors who drowned inside the Oklahoma.

Hiccup and Astrid eventually were married on 2 years since the attack, and had a daughter and son. 2 generations, they served from the Navy, and Hiccup and Astrid lived long enough to see the next century. And one of their descendants were named after them for their bravery that day. The story of Pearl Harbor has been taught every since, and eventually been inspired for a film that came out on May 25, 2001 made by Michael Bay, and shown in 2019 film, Midway.

Pearl Harbor was no longer the most tragic day in American history, when the attack on September 11, 2001 happened, nearly 3 months from the 60th anniversary. As 2,996 lives were lost that day.

The descendants, Hiccup II and Astrid II were a married couple living on Oahu, not far from Pearl Harbor as it can be seen, as well as the Memorial of the USS Arizona.

It was sunset, and they along with their daughter Zephyr, and their son Nuffink were getting something ready in honor of the Arizona. They had a kiddie pool out with a plastic bin holding a Revell model kit of the Arizona and a candle.

"Okay, everything ready?" Hiccup asked.

"Everything's set." Astrid said.

Nuffink soon placed the bin in the water as Zephyr placed placed the model Arizona in the bin as it stayed afloat. And soon a lit candle was placed as they remained silent, and often times it was said that faint tapping from the Arizona's hull were heard. Just as those that were trapped were still alive 80 years ago.
