There was no light in the bag Toru found herself in.
I could generate some of the light I've stored up in my body to create a dagger to tear a hole in this thing, but…She had been trying that with her fingernails and had hit plushy several times. All she felt was fluff around her.
She couldn't see. All she could do was feel in her captured container. The bag jostled a lot. Toru tried to count every time it moved and in what direction to try to create a good inner map of where she was going.
It was hard to hear, the rabbits insulated the bag, muffling sound. She could hear La Brava's voice, but it sounded more distant than it actually was.
She punched and kicked, but there was barely any reaction to it. Gentle Criminal seemed a little too dim witted to realize anyone was in there.
She eventually stopped her struggle and started counting the seconds to figure out how long she had remained in the darkness. About 8 minutes so far. And by the amount of jostling and feel, they were going extremely fast.
He didn't move this fast in the fight with Purple Highness…Did he use a quirk enhancing drug? Toru wondered.
She felt some frustration at the fact that her struggling was being ignored. This was what people were like, something that was right in front of them they ignored because they couldn't see it.
It's just like when I was a child. Because the heroes couldn't see me, they didn't know I existed. She trembled a bit. I'm a tool, not a person. I don't need to feel things like fear. People fear. Tools do not. She reminded herself.
Being alone like this, ignored, and naked reminded her so much of when she was a child. And it was hard to ignore that nagging feeling.
The bag finally stopped moving at the 10-minute mark. Toru thought she had heard a door opening, so perhaps the criminals were at their base of operations.
What's my plan of action…Do I reveal myself or sneak out? When they open the bag will they notice an invisible person taking up space in their plushies? Toru wondered. If they hadn't noticed her punches, they likely wouldn't notice her now. So sneaking out would be easy enough.
Toru didn't have much time to decide her plan of action. The string at the top of the bag opened and light greeted Toru's eyes and she was given her freedom.
The room she was in was clearly a bad motel room. There were stains on the wall and floor and a couple of cracks in the wall. The light was flickering, and the TV was on filling the room with a static sound. Toru spotted a few cockroaches wandering on the floor too.
It was a very bad motel room. Probably the cheapest in Kamino.
Gentle Criminal was standing over the bag looking at it. He had clearly not noticed Toru's head because he hadn't commented on the empty space. He was narrowing his eyes and looking at the bag as if he were counting the spoils of war.
La Brava was sitting at the desk, a laptop in hand. "Ugh! The camera really is totally broken! I was hoping some of the internal storage saved the footage…The MicroSD might still have the footage on it…But I'm not so sure…Gentle, what are we going to do?"
"Well, we have the spoils of our crime! So perhaps we have an unboxing video?" Gentle suggested.
La Brava nodded hurriedly. "You're so smart, Gentle!" She swooned, "I'm still so sorry I dropped the camera…"
Toru raised her head a little bit to poke out of the bag.
This time Gentle noticed the fact that some plushies were 'hovering in the air' on what was Toru's back and shoulder. "…Did I put my elasticity in here?" He wondered aloud, immediately assuming there was a wall of air.
Toru froze. Crap, so he's not as stupid as I thought. He was at least the bare minimum of observant. He hadn't yet realized there was a person in there, but he had realized something was up. And she really didn't want him to start throwing plushies down on her to bounce them off of the fake air wall.
Think. If I was a normal UA student like I'm pretending to be, I'd be in a hostage situation right now. The villains have captured me, and I am in their base of operation…She couldn't believe that she was captured by these two idiots. But maybe that works in my favor. These idiots somehow managed to not be caught by any of our League of Villains security measures warning villains away from Kamino. I need to get them out of here for the league and I can not have them making a viewtube video giving other villains the idea that it's 'easy' to rob Kamino.
If Toru pretended to be a normal hostage, she could try to gather information on how long these guys were planning to stay in Kamino. Not only that, but she could ensure that they didn't put up their planned viewtube video and try to manipulate them into leaving Kamino early so that heroes wouldn't be sent here on a search for them.
So pretend hostage while I feed them ideas that they think is their own is what I'll be going with. Toru decided.
"You didn't." She finally responded out loud.
Gentle Criminal's eyes widened, and he gasped. He looked around frantically and anywhere that wasn't the bag. La Brava froze and stopped typing at the girl's voice that wasn't her own.
"La Brava, behind me! I think we were followed!" Gentle Criminal was no genius, and he was instantly on guard wondering who had infiltrated them.
"I think that came from the bag, Gentle!" La Brava pointed.
"It did." Toru confirmed she tried to sound chipper, instead of annoyed. "You grabbed me when you were escaping."
Gentle Criminal's mouth hung open in horror.
"We've kidnapped someone, Gentle! Was that part of the plan?" La Brava looked frantic. "No, of course it was! My Gentle wouldn't accidentally kidnap someone." It was a clear accidental kidnapping though.
Once La Brava spoke of her confidence in Gentle, Gentle's face got paler as he realized he had to keep up the charade that this was in no way accident. His face was still clearly full of horror.
"Rope, La Brava." He tried to sound in control. "We can make the best of this! I'm sure an interview with a victim who at first was terrified but then saw how amazing Gentle Criminal is will skyrocket our views!" He tried to calm himself.
This was clearly a mistake. He rubbed the back of his neck. "I…I suppose that does explain all the kicking I felt on the way here…." He was beginning to look more grim as he realized how much of an idiot he had been.
I…I was captured by such an idiot…Toru just felt annoyance. With their intelligence it would be easy enough to kill them while I have their guard down…She thought to herself.
If they were dead, they couldn't cause the league of villains any trouble.
No, that won't work. His Purple Highness has likely noticed I'm missing by now. I didn't act like the sort of student who ditches work, and with his history he's likely assumed I'm dead or kidnapped due to his PTSD. If I return mysteriously and the two villains who might have kidnapped me, have their dead bodies turn up in the news it will be super suspicious. I could lie and say that I wasn't kidnapped but it would be a gamble if it worked…
Heroes didn't kill. That was something they stuck too. Even if Toru claimed she did it in self-defense it would instantly kick her out of the hero course. It just wasn't something heroes did. So, she couldn't risk it.
There was no rope, so La Brava tied some bed sheets together and managed to walk up to the bag to look for Toru.
Toru stuck her hands out, so La Brava didn't have to go feeling around for them and La Brava made an impromptu handcuff.
Gentle looked quite frantic. "La Brava start the camera rolling—"
"It's broken, Gentle…" La Brava reminded. She paused an idea gracing her mind. "Wait…" La Brava was clearly the brains of the team. "Were you the one who broke it?" She looked at Toru, or at least where her wrists were. She could at least see some of her form thanks to the bedsheet handcuffs.
Toru looked around again, not answering immediately. We're probably on the outskirts of Kamino. The inner parts of the city has rich hotels, but the outskirts has a few poorer motels. Meaning it won't be too much of a problem if heroes come to rescue me. It won't cause as much of an investigation into Kamino. Should she just buy time and await a rescue then? Unless His Purple Highness just assumes I'm dead and doesn't even look. A rescue would probably be the only thing that could be done in this situation without drawing suspicion to her.
"Yeah! In hero protocol # 3471, you're not supposed to allow villains free publicity. So, I broke your camera." Toru responded.
"OOOh, we could have gotten a great video Gentle if not for her!" La Brava pointed. "Let me buy a new camera tomorrow and then we'll get back all the views she lost for you!" La Brava was stomping her little feet.
You'll televise a kidnapping? That's pretty dumb. The heroes will find you in seconds. At least they wouldn't require a lot of heroes to beat these idiots.
Gentle Criminal looked like he was thinking to himself. "Are you a hero? I've never seen an invisible hero on the news…La Brava, do you recall if the hero we fought in the toy store had a sidekick?"
"He's not supposed to have any sidekicks I don't think!" La Brava responded after a quick google search.
"I'm an intern." Toru corrected. "From UA."
Gentle Criminal's expression turned from shock to a great smile. "UA? We have defeated a UA student! That is bound to give us fame and put our names down in history!"
So that was what he was after. Just fame. Now that I know his motive, it'll be easier to manipulate him into leaving Kamino if no heroes come to rescue me.
La Brava stopped stomping and looked horrified. "No this isn't good, Gentle…UA students are children. We accidentally kidnapped a child!" Her voice got shrill. "I'm not in favor of hurting a child, Gentle!" She tugged on Gentle's arm worriedly.
Gentle laughed. "Oh, don't worry! We won't hurt our little invisible stowaway! We will have a video with her interviewing us and convincing her that we are good villains! Then my name will go down in history as a gentlemanly criminal that even heroes like! We will treat her like a guest of honor and will gain many views and fame for it!"
La Brava clapped. "How genius, Gentle! Invisible Girl, don't worry. We won't hurt you in the least bit. In fact, you're a guest! I hope you help Gentle with his dream!"
Toru just sighed. He wants to be a good villain? Really? What kind of world am I in right now? And in what kind of world does it show he's a good villain by making a student in a hostage situation talk about how great he is. At least Gentle Criminal would be very easy to manipulate with this level of stupid.
I can't let him record an interview with me. That will give Kamino publicity as the site of a kidnapping, prompting more heroes to move there to keep people safe, and it will give me a lot of attention I don't need. Students from UA who were targeted by villains were always on the news. Bakugo was forever the slime kid incident after all, and random strangers still mostly associated him with that.
Toru's eyes narrowed now as she stared at her captors. They want to use me as a tool. That's what I am, a tool, but I don't think Master would approve of other people using what is his. How dare some random villains try to use what was rightfully All for One's?
She knew she could easily break the bed sheet chains and flee, but she was still observing the situation slightly. Perhaps there was more to be gleamed from this exchange.
"Fine." She lied. "I'll do your interview." She had no intention of doing such a thing, but it seemed like what someone would respond with in a normal hostage situation. "But I want you to leave Kamino in exchange."
Perhaps with their level of intelligence I can get them to leave Kamino first before their interview and then never end up showing up to do what I promised. Toru shrugged.
"Very noble. A true heroic attitude." Gentle Criminal clapped. "Befitting a UA student."
"Don't worry. This isn't our base of operation. Gentle and I just decided to go on a vacation and Gentle decided to spread his crime throughout the country on our trip!" La Brava reassured. "We're planning to board a train and leave tomorrow afternoon."
"…I don't have the money to get a third ticket to take her back to UA. What do we do with her after the interview?" Gentle whispered loudly to La Brava.
La Brava eyed the bag knowing they could technically get away with having the invisible girl as luggage. "I…I don't know…Maybe we sneak her on? We can't just drop a young girl off in a densely populated area all alone without a phone. That would be dangerous."
At least La Brava seemed to be caring about her wellbeing a little. "Also, I'm naked." Toru added just to freak them out.
Gentle Criminal screamed.
La Brava jumped up and covered Gentle's eyes.
"Yeah, we can definitely not put this child on the street!" La Brava agreed.
"I kidnapped a naked child? And then I almost had a video of her naked? That's child pornography, La Brava! I do not want my name to go down in history as someone who had child pornography! We need to get her some clothes immediately. Oh my words…I had a naked child in my bag…" Gentle was sweating. "…I have committed a truly heinous crime. Not a good one this time!"
Strangely enough they react more normally to my nudity than the hero academy I train at. At least there was some degrees of normalcy in these wannabe criminals as Toru watched them have a huge panic attack.
Toru just watched with some feeling of amusement as the villains who captured her squirmed.
Gentle's mouth was open as he continued to inaudibly scream. "I touch air all the time, La Brava! I just reach out and grab it to make it elastic! I could have accidentally groped a naked child! This is awful!"
La Brava was desperately fumbling around looking through their luggage. "My clothes are so small!" She finally realized how short she was. "Are you small, invisible girl? Are you my height?" She couldn't tell.
"I'm not. I'm 150 cm'." This was bizarre. It was just bizarre for people to worry about her nudity. It wasn't a feeling she was very used to. First was Mei…And now them? Why did these non-heroes seem to have better standards than heroes?
By all logic and common sense, people should be worried about child nudity, or child pornography laws with Toru's public costume. There were rules now that heroes couldn't wear nothing thanks to Midnight's initial costume making people uncomfortable. Yet the heroes had decided that 'because they couldn't see it, it didn't matter' in Toru's case. Even though she was still very much naked. Mei was the only one who had sought a fix for this instead of just letting the heroes get away with what they wanted.
Why was a random, very stupid criminal duo, and a support course person better than all of hero society?
Gentle eventually threw a spare of his own costume at Toru. "It's rather large but it will fit better than La Brava's gear." He continued looking away, even though he couldn't see anything anyway.
Toru easily managed to put on the oversized pants and black coat. It was barely keeping on her due to Gentle Criminal's height, but she appreciated the gesture, nonetheless. It was inconvenient, but she didn't really like being naked all the time.
"Underwear, Gentle! We don't have any underwear!" La Brava yelled, tears in her eyes at the absolute horror of the situation.
Gentle looked like he too was in his own personal hell as he realized he knew very little about how to take care of teenage girls. He had no response, he was broken inside.
"I suppose I will get that when I go out shopping for a camera." La Brava finally decided. "Um…Sorry about that…" She tried to smile at Toru.
Should I break that camera again? No, they'd be able to see that. What's best would be to short circuit the camera's internal image with my light bending. They should only see a white blank screen when filming, and due to their demeanor, I could probably convince them they're haunted and it's not in the cards to interview me. That seemed easy enough, and because it wasn't too cutthroat if a hero did end up coming to save her it wouldn't seem out of character for who Toru Hagakure was trying to be.
"Now. You won't be staying with us very long as a…kidnapped victim, but we will treat you very kindly." Gentle promised and bowed. "I am a gentle criminal after all." Now that he could see Toru a little better, he was trying to be cool. "May I have your name, madam?"
"Toru Hagakure." Toru answered simply.
"And your favorite tea?" Gentle asked.
Why did he ask that? What importance does it have to the situation? Toru thought, very confused.
"…I do not have one." Toru replied.
Gentle looked even more shocked over that, more than he did when he learned Toru was naked. "While this teenager is in our care, La Brava, we must help her discover her favorite tea!"
La Brava nodded, extremely determined.
Why…Did this kidnapping suddenly turn so lighthearted? Toru was constantly confused at the tonal mood shift of this situation.
The lighthearted argument between La Brava and Gentle Criminal over what sort of tea to start Toru on, or what she might like, gave her time to think though.
They agreed to leave Kamino. That's one goal complete. I have a plan on how to deal with their camera then. Because I'm only a student of UA, I shouldn't try to escape on my own because that might prove too useful. If His Purple Highness knows I've been kidnapped and mentions to UA that I escaped on my own, they'll expect more from me. So, I should continue awaiting rescue.
If I pretend to be just an everyday girl and victim, I shouldn't have to lie too much when the police turn up and arrest them. Toru reminded herself.
It would be inconvenient, but she couldn't risk having her cover blown. Of course, she could also wait things out until Gentle Criminal and La Brava just release her on their own. Then she perhaps wouldn't have to mention the kidnapping very much, and she could lie and say that the criminals did kidnap her, but they never noticed and left without her.
Best case scenario though, the amount of time Toru was gone could further traumatize his Purple Highness. If he got so traumatized he retired believing he was the problem that caused his interns to be in trouble, she would be released for a week on basically a free vacation. That way for the next 6 days she'd basically have her entire internship to spend with the league of villains.
If he's not so traumatized he quit, I can make sure to play up my distress and how I could have died. I'm sure I can traumatize him in some way. Toru thought.
UA probably wouldn't get the news that he had retired until after the internship. Because she was a bubbly and ditzy girl, if they asked her what she did in Kamino during her internship, she could easily say 'sightseeing' and 'shopping' without incurring any suspicion.
This could all go better than she had originally thought.
Kidnapping is a good way to speed up His Purple Highness's traumatization. It was looking like he might actually try to teach me things because of his determination to face UA head on. But I can definitely break that spirit. Toru thought.
It was an added benefit that being Gentle Criminal and La Brava's kidnap victim wasn't nearly as painful or difficult than it could have been. If Toru had been kidnapped by a serial killer for example, it might be harder to get out of the situation as easily or explain how she was not traumatized. With this she could be honest that idiots had kidnapped her and there was really no mental difficulty involved at all.
They had also given her clothes, which was a lot nicer than any other villain would be.
Everything should go according to plan….There's no big pieces or players on the field that could mess with His Purple Highness's mentality, or somehow add something to this. Toru reminded herself, mentally ordering the people as pieces in her head and trying to predict different moves they could make.
Nothing should go wrong.
It was late into the evening of the first day of internships.
Aizawa was still thinking. He was in the staff room going over lesson plans, late. His head hadn't been fully into working on lesson plans, his mind still on His Purple Highness.
I know I should trust my students….He kept repeating in his head. Sure, there were people like Midoriya who needed a lot of extra supervision because he couldn't be trusted to not injure himself, but Toru Hagakure was not a problem student. She was average, she wasn't crazy like Midoriya.
She could be trusted.
I know I should leave things well enough alone. He told himself again.
His mind kept coming back to leaving the students at the train station and seeing Toru cheerfully running off to her train. He knew it was paranoia deep down, but every time he saw that image his hands started shaking.
What if that was the last time he saw her? What if he saw in the news that a UA intern had died again, just like Oboro?
I have a week off of work, just going over lesson plans and I was going to help Shinso to see if he was strong enough to transfer into the hero program…Aizawa thought.
But that training wasn't supposed to start for a few days to give him a couple days of rest. He was basically on vacation anyway. What was stopping him from going to Kamino just to check up on things? Just a day trip or something?
Nothing. That was what.
I heard Kamino has some good shopping centers, some day spas and nice bars. I could go there for a rest like the principal told me I should…The principal had told him he had rushed his recovery from USJ and should rest a bit. If someone asked, that could definitely be his excuse.
Yeah, yeah. It's not for Hagakure. It's to check out some spas and see if they can…I don't know…do some facials to rest my eyelids a little? I don't know what spas do. Aizawa thought to himself.
Seeing her following His Purple Highness around and joyfully learn things would put his mind to rest. He didn't even have to show Toru he was visiting. It didn't need to have to do with worrying about his students. He could just poke his head into the Purple Highness agency and see that things were fine and leave.
She'll be fine. Aizawa reminded himself again as worry clawed at his belly. His Purple Highness has definitely grown after Oboro….It's been thirteen years, after all.
He said the words again and again, but something in him just couldn't believe them.
"I'll be away on vacation for a day or two as you suggested, Principal Nezu." Aizawa told the principal before he left school.
"Good for you! I hope you have a nice rest!" The principal hummed and smiled.
Aizawa didn't smile back, as usual. He just nodded and left the school.
He didn't really pack, he went straight to the train station and bought a ticket, not even waiting for the night to pass. He knew he wouldn't be able to sleep anyway at home, from stress.
He sat on the train, bundled up in a sleeping bag, on his way to Kamino.
Why am I doing this? This is dumb. He reminded himself. She's fine. She's not going to be Class A's Oboro. He said the words again, over and over in his mind.
Saying them more often didn't make them stick.
If I should be checking on anyone, it should be Iida. He thought. Iida had gone far off to Hosu city, the city coincidentally that his brother had suffered an awful attack in. Why wasn't he on a train to Hosu City if he was so worried about his students?
Realization dawned on him as he looked out the train window at the dark night of the cities they passed.
Oh. It's because I trust the heroes of Hosu city. They can watch after Iida. But…I no longer trust His Purple Highness.
His Purple Highness hadn't been able to protect Oboro. A hero's job was to protect people.
Everybody else at UA I bet would say I'm making the wrong choice. That my paranoia is getting the best of me. That I'm interrupting the internship. That's why he hadn't told them why.
Well, he was sure Present Mic at least wouldn't tell him he was in the wrong. He didn't intern under His Purple Highness, but he always had Aizawa's back. He probably would have insisted on taking a vacation himself and riding all the way to Kamino to harass His Purple Highness.
Midnight probably would say I was in the wrong though…She had interned with him and Oboro. And she had told him multiple times to 'let it go' that it hadn't been His Purple Highness's fault. His Purple Highness had been knocked out long before Oboro had died. He couldn't physically protect him.
But when Midnight had said those things, every time a tiny voice had been in Aizawa's head asking, 'is it my fault then?'
And he had silenced it. He shook his head and silenced Midnight's voice.
I'm not interrupting the internship, Midnight. Hagakure won't even know I'm there. I'm just checking on her.
He'd confront his past. He'd confront his Purple Highness. Perhaps His Purple Highness's teaching methods had changed throughout the years. Perhaps if he saw His Purple Highness for the first time after 13 years, he'd finally be at peace with what happened.
Aizawa tried to close his eyes again on the train and get some sleep, but every time he did, he saw the rubble. Oboro's hand was just lying under it, unmoving.
He had never seen the body again after that. He remembered going to Oboro's funeral, seeing his parents holding their son's ashes in a jar and sobbing. His Mother had sobbed and grabbed Aizawa's shirt and begged him to know why, why did this happen to their child?
Those faces and images would never leave him.
"I know he was alive. He was cheering for me!" Aizawa remembered telling a hero after the villain attack that had killed Oboro. The hero had looked at him devastated.
"You imagined it. The rubble crushed him in the attack. It looks like the death was instantaneous." The hero had said.
The moment he and Present Mic had lost the third to their trio had never left them. Although Present Mic seemed to be doing better masking the pain, Aizawa never forgot. Because he had been there when Oboro died. And seeing His Purple Highness's name on Toru's sheet has slapped him in the face with his trauma.
The train finally arrived in Kamino, several hours later. It was 1 am. There weren't any teenagers walking around in Kamino's night markets. There were many bright lights.
As Aizawa hopped out of the train in his sleeping bag he started feeling stupid. He smiled to himself. This is dumb! I should have at least waited for tomorrow…
His anxiety had caused him to go right away, but there was no point in checking on someone's internship at 1 am.
Hagakure is probably safely in bed in a hotel somewhere around here. There's no way to contact her right now. I'll check His Purple Highness's agency in the early morning.
He had been impatient, and presumptuous and it was showing, and he felt dumb, but a little more reassured that nothing bad had happened now that he was in his sleeping bag in the middle of a train station in the same city His Purple Highness was in.
He decided to check into a nice hotel, get some rest, and remind himself that things would be fine. They would be!
Aizawa got very little sleep.
It was 6 am when he headed out to check on His Purple Highness's agency. Way earlier than Toru would be continuing her internship but possibly early enough that he'd catch His Purple Highness alone.
UA had the address on hand, and he had copied it down before leaving.
Aizawa got to His Purple Highness's agency. It definitely was not what he expected. For one thing the big "Purple Revolution" words painted on the building was exactly how he remembered even if the building had moved, and it had been many years.
For another on the door there was a sign that hung and said, "Closed Forever."
Aizawa's eyes widened, in anger. He reached for the door.
No. No. No. He didn't quit while he was SUPPOSED to be interning with UA student. Aizawa opened the big doors. They weren't locked or anything as he shoved them open to retrieve his student.
His Purple Highness was lying on the floor, back to the door. When he heard the door open, he said the words that Aizawa feared in a hopeful voice. "Hagakure?"
A pit formed in Aizawa's stomach. "Nope. Her teacher though." Aizawa entered the room.
His Purple Highness's eyes widened as his eyes adjusted to the light from the outdoors. It was pitch black in his office and he was laying on the ground, surrounded by alcohol bottles.
He's not anything like what I saw last time…He's not a highness or an effective teacher. Just a drunk. How the heck could UA not vet the teachers we sent our students to? This is not okay. Aizawa frowned.
"Aizawa?" His Purple Highness asked and got up. "You…You were her teacher?" He gasped, putting the pieces together and covering his mouth.
"Yep…And I'm guessing by the fact that you thought I was Hagakure you sent her out after having a mental breakdown." Aizawa crossed his arms. "I knew you weren't ready for any UA students, but none of the other teachers would listen to me."
Tears came down His Purple Highness's face. He crawled over to Aizawa on his knees. "It's been so long…And it's almost poetic cinema that this would happen to one of your students…" He gasped.
Aizawa's face changed into one of worry, "…You did send Hagakure away, right? After having a mental breakdown?"
His Purple Highness shook his head. "I…Have retired Aizawa…But I didn't send Hagakure away before that."
Aizawa grabbed his collar and pulled him off the ground. "What happened to her? You…She didn't…" He was at a loss for words. I knew something was wrong….Please…please make me wrong this one time. She's okay, right?
"I'm sorry…" Was all His Purple Highness was able to squeak out. "Investigation and forensics couldn't locate a body…She went missing after I fought a villain… but eyewitness accounts say that the villains were sited carrying away a human sized bag, but they scooped up a lot of plushies. There was a lot of rubble in our fight so it's possible she was…hit and they scooped up her corpse while trying to grab the things they stole."
Aizawa's lip quivered. He dropped His Purple Highness. It was happening again. "But…But you don't know that for sure." He said loudly. "Are you sure she's dead? Did you pursue the villains?"
His Purple Highness shook his head.
"Then she's probably just kidnapped. And you let my student get kidnapped and just gave up?" Aizawa asked.
His Purple Highness didn't seem to believe Aizawa's hopeful words. "I don't know. I don't know where she is. I knew this was going to happen. Nobody can even see if she dies! Why did UA send an invisible student to me? That kind of student can be put in the most danger!" He curled into a ball.
Aizawa was disgusted. He punched His Purple Highness. His Purple Highness did not struggle.
"She's alive. I've tested my students myself. They're stronger than you might think. And I'm going to go retrieve her. I'm not going to abandon her." Aizawa declared.
His Purple Highness had given up. "I'm sorry…I'm sorry I did it again. I failed to protect an intern…And this time it was your student instead of your friend."
"You'll be no help to me like that, although I don't think I trust you a bit to give any help. Give me Hagakure's things so that she can have them when I collect her. And tell me all about what happened so I can figure out where she might be." Aizawa requested.
He wasn't going to try to make His Purple Highness a hero again or ask for help. It was time for him to stop. But he did need information to save Toru.
Aizawa just hoped he was right instead of His Purple Highness.
This chapter presents a shift in Aizawa becoming a more major character in the story. He wasn't originally going to be as major in my original rough draft, but eventually he became a bigger character.
