(A/N) So I almost forgot about the redesigned costume, so you get to see it when it gets pulled out for internships. In like 6 chapters.

They, as usual, had training after lessons. Momo was mildly anxious about it, especially since it had definitely been long enough for OFA to integrate into her body.

She hadn't had a chance to ask how OFA would affect her or her quirk, let alone consider what might happen. She didn't even know what it did to All Might, not having thought to ask about that. Needless to say she regretted that now. She'd live though, she'd just have to take it slow and test everything out she could.

It was a free training day, although it was highly suggested they spar with each other, Momo hid in a corner and made a screwdriver. Simple, small, and something she could do practically in her sleep.

It came out with dark red crystal as the handle. She held it carefully, finding it heating up under her touch. It got too hot and she dropped it, watching the handle lighten in color gradually. Curious, Momo pulled a piece of wood out of her palm and dropped it on top of the handle of the screwdriver. It burst into flame. The metal of the screwdriver was melting, and the wood had turned black and was crumbling to ash.

She really hoped she could not do that. She'd rather not have everything destroyed because she made it with a crystal part that apparently heated up enough to melt metal.

Hitoshi came to sit next to her, offering a protein bar and munching on his own.

"Thanks," Momo said, taking it and opening it while still staring at the cooling pile of slag that had been the screw driver head. "I wouldn't touch the crystal. It's really hot."

Hitoshi just nodded, presumably staring at it as well.

"I was trying to make a screwdriver," Momo added, debating whether she should see if Aizawa could stop the crystal from being so hot or if she should work out how to hold it and give it to Mei in support.

She did have some fire smothering foam in her inventory, maybe that'd work.

She carefully coated her hands with it, let it dry, then tried to touch the crystal. Still hot, but better.

Maybe forge type thick gloves? She knew how to make those as well, having figured she'd want thick gloves at some point. Only problem, she couldn't get the foam off her hands. She offered them to Hitoshi. "Could you try and get the foam off? It should be pretty brittle."

Hitoshi stared at her hands for a moment, then took them, carefully bashing them against the wall. Momo wondered why she hadn't thought of that. Oh well.

She pulled thick gloves from her stomach, then pulled up her pants leg to use that to produce the foam to cover the gloves. Better safe than sorry.

That managed, she picked up the crystal. She couldn't feel the heat anymore, and took that as a success.

"I'm going to go talk to Aizawa for a moment," she said to Hitoshi, standing up and cradling the crystal carefully. Hitoshi nodded, but didn't make any move to go with her. She had expected that, and left him there with the protein bar she'd forgotten to eat.

"Er, Aizawa-sensei?" She asked quietly, content to wait until the sparring match between Bakugo and Kirishima was over since he was keeping a pretty close eye on it.

He turned to her. "Yes Yaoyorozu?"

She held up the crystal. Wait what was she supposed to say? She made a screwdriver except that happened? Would he get suspicious if she said that? Well, might as well tell and hope he didn't question her too far. "I had made a screwdriver."

"That doesn't look much like a screwdriver," Aizawa commented dryly.

"Well, no, the head melted. The steel head melted into slag. I'm not quite sure what this is but it is very hot."

Aizawa narrowed his eyes at the crystal. "Todoroki, to me."

Todoroki wandered over, looking confused.

"Make an ice pillar," Aizawa instructed.

Todoroki, brows furrowed, did so.

Momo worked out what Aizawa wanted and placed the crystal against the pilar. It melted away like it was trying to avoid touching the crystal or her hand.

Aizawa's eyes flashed red, and Momo set the stone down on the bottom of the hole in the pillar. It quickly disappeared from sight as it melted through the ice to hit the ground.

"I'd take that over to support," Aizawa advised. "See what Powerloader can do with it. Get some tests run as well, it could be your quirk mutating. Take it slow and work out what's changed and how to adapt to it."

Momo swallowed, but nodded, letting Todoroki melt the pillar so she could pick up the crystal. It had melted a small divot in the concrete floor.

She picked it up hurriedly, clasping both hands over it. "Thank you Aizawa-sensei, I'll be back as soon as I can."

"Don't bother trying to come back during this class period," Aizawa advised. "It's not going to happen."

"Ah, alright?" Momo said, not sure what to make of that. She settled for waving at the rest of the class and hurrying out.

Fortunately, Power Loader conveniently opened the door, presumably to leave when she arrived there. He looked almost dead inside, but let her in anyway, sending a wistful look at the door as he closed it again.

"Why're you here?" He asked, sighing.

Momo held up the red crystal. "A quirk incident? I was trying to make a screwdriver."

"That isn't a screw driver," Power Loader noted needlessly, grabbing some thick gloves from a nearby bench.

"Well, no, but it was the handle for one. The head of it melted off," Momo admitted sheepishly. "It's really hot, like it melted a divot in the concrete of the gym we were in hot."

Mei materialized next to her, pulling her hands down a bit to inspect the crystal. "Amazing! So hot but it's so contained! I want it."

"We'll run some tests on it," Power Loader sighed, ignoring Mei and picking up the crystal himself. "You said you made this on accident?"

Momo nodded.

"Make me one!" Mei said excitedly, almost wiggling where she stood. "I want one too!"

Power Loader sighed and shook his head. "Do you think you could make it again? See if it's not just a fluke?"

The problem was, she didn't know how she'd made it. Her quirk relied on knowing how to make things. So she just tried making a screw driver again, making it fall out of her forearm into her hand. It was normal, so she handed it to Mei and made another one. A black handle?

Momo shrieked as the room went dark, throwing the crystal at the ground. She heard it shatter and the room went back to full brightness again.

Mei crouched down and inspected the pieces, which were swirling with darkness. Shadows really. "Oh that's awesome."

Momo made another screwdriver, sort of wishing she'd eaten the bar earlier. This one had another red handle, and she sighed in mild relief. No more weird shadow handles. And there it went, melting through the metal of the screwdriver's head.

Mei was up in a second, the shadowy pieces collected from the ground and squirreled away into a pocket. Momo didn't particularly care about it, so she left Mei to it.

"Don't touch it," She warned Mei quickly when it looked like the girl was going to pick it up with her bare hands. "Get thick gloves."

Mei huffed, but went to get gloves. Then she picked it up, racing over to the other side of the room to presumably play with it.

"Alright we'll run some tests," Power Loader sighed. "Let me put this down somewhere."

"Careful, it'll melt through most things," Momo warned after him.

He ended up putting it down still sandwiched between the two gloves, gesturing for Momo to leave her own next to it. She broke the foam over her wrists with a quick bash against the corner of a table, then left the gloves there as well.

Power Loader led her to what looked like a set of sensors set up in the corner. "This is what we usually use to take a stab at quirks for getting readings for support items. Does your uniform have any currently?"

Momo, who hadn't seen her costume yet, shrugged. She wasn't even sure if it was finished yet. "Ask Mei, she was redoing it."

"I'll remember to," Power Loader sighed. "Alright, those ones go on your head, those go on your arms, and those on your torso, just wherever, with those on your legs."

Momo applied the little sensors as he pointed them out, trying to leave enough space to make things in where she placed them.

"Alright. See if you can make something without one of those crystals."

Momo concentrated, bringing up the same screwdriver pattern she'd been using, focusing specifically on the chemical makeup of the plastic of the handle.

A regular screwdriver fell out of her arm and clattered to the floor. She picked it up and set it on the nearby table.

"Try one with the crystals," Power Loader instructed, staring intently at the screen.

Momo decided not to make a screwdriver, and instead picked one of the crystals she knew how to make. Amythest, a pretty and semi precious stone.

It wasn't the usual white and purple when it came out of her hand, instead it was a solid pinkish purple. Momo dropped the crystal immediately when she felt something wrong with her quirk. It shattered against the ground and Momo stared at it before grinding her heel against it. She did not want to do that again, so no making amythest until she had this under control. She had enough crystals built up to keep up her hobby anyway even if she couldn't make any more for a while.

"We're going to need to do some more testing and get Recovery Girl in on this," Power Loader decided, and Momo simply resigned herself to being in here for most hero training periods.

(A/N) We are moving on next chapter I swear. That of course isn't all of the interesting incidents poor Momo gets to deal with, but whatever.
