(A/N) Should be at least one more chapter probably with Shinso as the pov before we move back to Momo for Internships. Congratulations you get some fluff after last chapter. And before Hosu, which is going to be an angst fest. Be prepared. We'll get to more plot next chapter I swear.

"I can't decide whether to be disappointed in the teachers or no," Toru sighed, plopping down in the seats of her mom's car. Hitoshi sat down next to her quietly, followed by Mashirao with Momo in the front seat.

"Todoroki asked me earlier if I trusted Aizawa," Momo murmured to herself, although they all heard it. "I don't know how I'd respond now."

"I don't know either," Toru sighed, leaning against Hitoshi. He welcomed the touch, it kept him slightly more grounded. "Why'd Todoroki ask you that?"

"He's got a situation," Momo replied, shaking her head as she turned to look at them. "Whether worse or slightly better than Shinso I don't know."

"Isn't Endeavor his father?" Mashirao asked, frowning. "I can't say I'm surprised, the number two hero isn't exactly nice."

"That's putting it lightly," Toru commented, frowning. "Poor Todoroki though. You encouraged him to talk to Aizawa?"

"Yeah. That's not all of it, but it's certainly the worst bit. Todoroki is...a eugenics project, to put it nicely."

"Quirk marriage," Mashirao guessed, closing his eyes. Hitoshi didn't get what that meant, but it sounded bad.

"A quirk marriage is when someone generally buys a spouse for their quirk for the sole purpose of having powerful kids with them," Momo explained, apparently noticing Hitoshi's confused expression. "Todoroki's mother has an ice quirk."

"Todoroki must be his perfect heir then," Toru said, glaring at the chair in front of her. "That's messed up. I hate remembering people like that exist still."

"I think if Todoroki asked now," Momo said after a moment. "I'd reply I trust him with that. Only that."

Hitoshi wasn't sure he'd trust Aizawa at all, but he was probably biased because of the muzzle thing. Although the not trusting extended to the entire UA staff, moreso then before.

"Why don't we pick a fun recipe and do it together," Toru's mom suggested cheerfully. "Toru, you have the recipe book on your phone, right?"

Toru shrugged and pulled out her phone. "I think so, I have it somewhere."

Hitoshi tilted his head slightly to see the screen better, and she tilted it obligingly. She located a purple app and tapped on it. She flicked through the recipes. "Anything look good Hitoshi?"

He watched the recipes go by, trying to remember the name of the meal they'd had a few weeks ago that he remembered liking quite a bit.

"This one? You liked it a while ago," Toru suggested, pausing on one Hitoshi was pretty sure was the one he'd been thinking of.

"Which one?" Mashirao asked, tilting his head to presumably try and see the phone.

"The Kare, we had it with the tortilla-like bread stuff last time I think."

"Naan bread," her mother corrected, making the turn to go to the store. "Naan bread is what you're thinking of. Given all of it was gone at the end of the meal I'll grab some more for this time as well. Do you want to stay in the car or come in with me?"

Hitoshi had quite enough stimulation for today thanks, and pointed at the floor of the car.

"I'll stay with Hitoshi," Toru said quickly. "You two go help Mom get the groceries. It'll go faster if you help."

"You're good with that Hitoshi?" Momo checked, turning in her seat to face him.

He nodded. He'd be alright with just Toru, and it wasn't like Momo and Mashirao were going that far away. And they'd be back quickly. Faster they did that, the faster they could get to Toru's house and relax and be safe from the whole mess.

"We'll be back as soon as we can," Momo promised, smiling at him before she closed the door to the car.

As Hitoshi woke up in the bed he was using without any idea how he got there, he probably fell asleep in the car.

He wandered back out into the kitchen, finding Momo stirring the curry, Toru staring at the toaster, presumably waiting for something to pop up, and Mashirao idly sitting on the counter and staring off out the window.

Toru's mom was washing dishes, but paused when he came in. "Ah, Hitoshi, glad you're awake! We grabbed materials for potstickers as well, so we can work on that after dinner if you want."

"We ran out of our homemade ones a couple days ago," Toru explained. "As infinite as they pretty much were, apparently that bag we finished off a few days ago was the last of them. So it's time for the potsticker making spree. To make several gallon bags so we have eternal potstickers once again!"

Momo snickered, setting the thing she was using to stir aside. "Is that how you guys cook your food? In mass amounts so you can seem like wizards when you pull it out?"

"Excuse you, we are magic," Toru huffed. "Back me up here Hitoshi! We're totally magic right?"

"Just because your dad can fit four bags of muffins into your backpack doesn't make you magic," Mashirao said.

"Mashirao, Momo makes stuff from her body, it's magic." Toru huffed, folding her arms. The toaster dinged and Hitoshi nearly jumped out of his skin at the sudden noise. So did Toru, although she recovered quicker and pulled the naan bread out of the toaster and put it on a plate.

"Quirks are technically science," Momo said, in her 'teaching voice'. "Although we don't know how all of them work quite yet, they are still technically science. Just science we don't understand. Not that we aren't working on it though."

"See? Magic." Toru nodded like that proved her point, although Hitoshi didn't think it had.

"Sure Toru," Momo replied, picking up the stirring thing again. "Were you going to finish the naan bread?"

"Yeah yeah," Toru huffed, turning back to the toaster.

Hitoshi decided to sit on the stool at the counter, putting his head down on his arms and blinking tiredly at the blue fire currently being harnessed to cook the food.

"Anyway, do you think we'll have to pick hero names at any point?" Mashirao wondered, Hitoshi felt his tail rest across his shoulders. It was a nice warm weight. Hitoshi liked it.

"I mean we have to, right?" Toru pointed out. "Can't be a hero without a hero name."

"A logical point," Momo agreed. "I think I'd go with either Creati or possibly Genesis. Both sound cool."

"I like Genesis, sounds all old and wise and stuff," Toru decided, the naan bread popping up behind her. Hitoshi flinched at the ding, but had been expecting it this time around and wasn't startled as badly.

"I suppose," Momo agreed. "Is this the right thickness?"

Toru's mom checked the kare. "Yes, turn off the heat, check the rice, and then we're all done!"

Hitoshi watched the blue flame flare up then turn off, then the pot get picked up.

"Put a hot pad on the table!" Momo said, carrying the pot over to the table.

Mashirao quickly stood up, his tail leaving Hitoshi's shoulders, leaving them cold, and slid a hot pad on the table. Momo put the pot down on it with a quiet sigh of relief. It must've been heavy.

"Let's eat then," Toru's mom said cheerfully, smiling.

(A/N) Tiny bit shorter than usual, hopefully it won't end up being a thing, should have longer chapters during Stain. Okay so uh, funny story, so I have swimming tomorrow at like 5 in the morning, and I haven't finished the Cursed 12 update that has to go up today, and it's getting a little late, so I'm going to be posting that update tomorrow and you guys get this one early!

Also, I won't be posting at all during June. With any luck I'll get a whole bunch of backlog done and whatnot, so wish me luck! When I get back in July, I'll be back with a poll for what fics you want in the empty spaces in my posting schedule.
