(A/N) The Hosu and Stain arc! This'll be a doozy haha. I will give the same information to you I gave my server a while ago. Someone will die. I won't say who, just that someone will. Make of it what you will.

Momo followed the precise instructions to get to Gran Torino's house, staring at the door for a while before opening it.

She was greeted by what looked almost like a murder scene. Except she could smell ketchup, not blood.

"I'd think a pro hero would remember that that amount of blood would smell like blood," Momo informed the pretending form of Gran Torino. "I am a lady, I know what blood smells like."

Gran Torino raised his head to regard her suspiciously. "Did Toshi actually pick someone with a head on her shoulders?"

She assumed 'Toshi' was All Might. "Nezu likely had a paw in my choosing," Momo admitted.

"Now that makes more sense," Gran Torino said, standing up from his pile of sausage and ketchup. "Name?"

"Yaoyorozu Momo," she replied, standing straight under his inspection.

"How long have you had OFA," he asked suspiciously, getting closer as he spoke.

Momo was equally suspicious, knowing Gran Torino had put a great amount of fear into All Might. She readied her quirk, coming up with the fastest drying foam she had in her brain. "A little over a week, maybe two weeks." Yeah that sounded right, or at least close enough.

Gran Torino moved, and Momo shot the foam at him, only to miss and be knocked down from behind.

"You're going to have to be faster than that!" Gran Torino cackled, and Momo steeled herself. She could do this. First things first, slowly box him in, restrict what space he could move, and how many angles he could attack from.

She quickly backed into a corner, trying to keep an eye on him and shoot foam at him everytime he paused. Once in her corner, she used one hand to shoot foam at the ceiling. It stuck, dried, and made a block so above her was covered and Gran Torino couldn't attack from there.

She didn't have a chance to beat him, get a hit in, maybe, but beat him? Pin him? No. She wasn't really made for stamina fights, and she doubted she could win in stamina against Gran Torino, old man or not. At least her quirk wasn't acting up at the moment. She'd probably just jinxed it, but oh well.

"Good to see you're using your head," Gran Torino barked before coming out of nowhere and slamming Momo into the wall. He was too fast for her to track, she had to slow him down somehow.

"I have to be able to for my quirk," she wheezed quietly, trying to get her breath back. If she could get a hand on him maybe she could make a weight, although he might just take it off. It would buy her a few seconds though hopefully.

So she didn't move from her position against the wall, slightly slumped over. She had to bait him into hitting her again so she could grab his ankle or something.

He took the bait, crashing into her stomach again, and she grabbed his ankle, pushing the weights through her skin even as Gran Torino ripped his leg from her grasp.

"Sorry," Momo felt the need to apologize as she pushed her hand out for some instinctual reason. Black tendrils appeared wrapped around her wrist and shot out, lancing Gran Torino across the shoulder and sending him crashing to the ground.

Gran Torino popped up after a moment and Momo's brief fears about hurting him were proved unfounded.

"Good hit girl, where'd that come from?"

Momo winced when she looked down to find her wrist thoroughly bruised and the tendril gone. She was also starving, although that was expected. "I'm not sure, I've never done that before."

Gran Torino disappeared for a moment, coming back with Taiyaki. "Sit, eat, we'll discuss this."

Momo sat down in front of him, gratefully tearing into the offered food. If they were going to continue like that she'd need the extra calories.

"How long have you had OFA kid?" Torino asked first. Hadn't he just asked that earlier?

Momo swallowed somewhat nervously, then answered. "Almost two weeks."

"And it augments your quirk?"

Momo shifted, biting down on another Taiyaki to delay needing to answer. "I guess? We're passing it off as a mutation right now, nothing like what happened with All Might."

"So then… Nana was it?"

Momo would've thought a hero would remember his own intern. "Momo." It was close, so maybe he was just senile. She doubted it though. He still seemed like he was an at least somewhat active hero, so he couldn't be too senile.

"Eh whatever. So it mutated your quirk? How exactly." Well perhaps he wasn't all that senile. Maybe he was pretending? So hard to tell with him.

"As far as I can tell currently, it's mostly just being able to make these odd crystals that do various things depending on color," Momo concentrated on making a purple crystal, and a blue one fell out of her hand instead. She gave a long sigh. She really had to figure out how to get the crystals under control. "That and apparently the tendrils. That hasn't happened before now though." The blue crystal had a puddle under it now, and Momo quickly picked it up and hurried over to put it in the sink. She made a mental note to put that down in her notebook later. It and the black tendrils. Speaking of which, her wrist really hurt. She needed to ice it.

"Freezer is right there," Gran Torino shouted. "Grab your own ice."

Momo shook her head and opened the freezer, grabbing an icepack and wrapping it around her wrist. The ice was cold, obviously, and soothed the bruise. She settled back down at the table a moment later, shoving another Taiyaki into her mouth. She'd need the calories if she didn't feel like passing out again.

"Here, if you can score another good hit on me, I'll take you out for barbeque," Torino bargained.

Momo shoved another Taiyaki in her mouth while she considered it. "Sure. Let's go again."

At the end of the day, Momo managed to slowly and carefully close the room in around Torino, limiting his movements, then chucked a purple crystal at him, which stopped him in his tracks for a bit, his quirk probably glitching out. Momo took that as a win since she had actually meant to make a purple crystal. She then swept his feet out from under him while he was confused and pinned him to the ground.

"Good job," Torino admitted reluctantly. "You need to get faster at creation, and your opponent won't always stay in the isolated room. Block of possible exits first if you're going to corner them like you did to me."

Momo nodded, committing the advice to memory.

"And what the frick is up with this crystal?" Torino demanded, chucking it at her when she let him up.

She dodged it, letting it crash to the ground and shatter. "Er, it scrambles your quirk. It's pretty useful."

"And annoying," Torino huffed.

Momo shrugged sheepishly.

True to his promise, after another bout of sparring that had Torino not bothering to take it easy on her and immediately taking her down in a fast bout of hand to hand that she barely kept up in, they went out and found a good barbeque place that also had good Taiyaki according to Torino. Not that she didn't trust his judgement of course.

Somewhat luckily, it was an all-you-can-eat sort of place, and Momo was pretty sure Torino got a kick out of watching her consume roughly her body weight in meat because of the calories she'd burned that day and was bound to burn tomorrow. There was to be more training tomorrow after all.

(A/N) Alright so I think next chapter should be longer to make up for this shorter chapter, but I'm not completely sure. If anyone's curious, Shinso and Ojiro went with Mandalay and Tiger respectively.
