(A/N) Stain is here! No, Izuku is not here, feel free to imagine that he's interning with whoever you want. Doesn't really matter to me, it won't come into play. UUhhhh, warnings for blood and gore and a lot of fighting? Just generally be warned haha.

Iida had been acting a bit off, but Momo found it coming to a head when she couldn't find him anywhere, despite knowing he was in Hosu. A nomu attack, and she couldn't find her friend.

"Kid! You have permission to use your quirk!" Torino shouted at her before running off to sucker punch a nomu.

Momo saluted and started running, fully ready to track down Iida and make sure he wasn't doing something particularly stupid. She'd only recently worked out that Iida's brother was one of the victims of the hero killer, albeit not dead, just paralyzed. Honestly she couldn't tell if this fact that she was able to figure out exactly what Iida was trying to do was a good thing or not. As it was, she was trying to find him and get the dumbbutt out.

She realized Todoroki and Toru were both in the area as well, and paused to text them to come to where she was. If they weren't too busy doing something else of course.

She noticed movement out of the corner of her eye, and turned towards it, expecting a civilian or something, instead she turned to face an alley that had the pro hero Native against one wall, Iida on the ground in front of him with blades impaled through his arms, and Stain standing over Iida with his sword raised to kill him.

Momo leaped in immediately, punching Stain in the face to send him flying backwards and standing over Iida protectively. Her wrist hurt, and Momo cursed internally. She'd have to make a brace when she had a quick second. Something she didn't she'd get.

"Don't interfere," Stain growled out, holding up his sword threateningly.

"He's my friend I am going to intervene if he's going to die," Momo shot back, assessing the area. A basic alleyway. Some trash, some other stuff, not much she could use. But thats what she had her quirk for. Good thing they'd eaten before coming, and that extra protein from eating almost her body weight in meat from yesterday would also come in handy. Plus Hran Torino's utterly shocked face as she just kept eating it had been priceless.

"Then you too will perish," Stain decided, shifting the blade to an offensive position. "All false heroes must die!"

"We're not even heroes yet," Momo pointed out logically. The longer he talked the more time she had to hope Toru or Todoroki arrived.

"But you will be! And it's better to weed you out now before you can do any damage," Stain added, eyes gleaming with a manic light.

Apparently he was finished talking because he threw a knife at her. Momo, used to Gran Torino throwing himself at her for a fight, dodged it seamlessly.

Ice spiked up from the ground in front of Stain, blocking him from her view. Todoroki had arrived.

"I did not think you would be engaged in battle," Todoroki informed her, sounding rather put out. Or possibly disappointed it was hard to tell.

Momo used the brief moment she had now, and pulled a brace from her arm to wrap around her wrist. "Seal off the roof," she instructed Todoroki quickly. "We have to contain him." Just like fighting Gran Torino. Just like fighting Gran Torino. Except he has knives. And can apparently paralyze people. This was fine.

Todoroki blinked, but did as she asked just as the ice in front of them shattered and stain flew through it.

Momo pulled a shield out of her stomach and used it to block the sword strike. The impact reverberated uncomfortably through her arm and body, and she almost fell under the onslaught. Note to self, don't block directly again.

"You shouldn't be involved in this!" Iida cried as Momo shoved Stain off, holding the shield defensively in front of her. The light in the alley had dimmed with the addition of Todoroki's ice roof, but it wasn't hard to see.

"You cannot get yourself killed," Momo told him severely. "What happened to your brother was bad, yes, but you cannot get yourself killed in a futile quest for something as stupid as revenge!"

Momo hissed when Stain launched forward again, and she tilted the shield to deflect him to the side, slamming the shield down into his back when he slid to the side.

It didn't seem to faze him, but he lept back anyway, staring at her cautiously.

Momo swallowed and tried not to hope too much that Toru would get here to help patch up Iida. "Todoroki, restrain how far he can go back, and seal Iida and Native in ice to protect them some."

Stain lunged again, and Momo threw a handful of glitter she'd made at him then hid behind the shield as it popped and exploded.

When she peeked out from behind the shield, Stain was farther away again, probably blinking sparks out of his vision. The ice wall behind him was bristling with spikes, and honestly, Momo couldn't blame Todoroki for making that one. The trail of ice was making it kind of slippery though, with gave her an idea. "Todoroki, can you freeze the ground everywhere but under us?"

Todoroki hummed consideringly, then nodded, stomping his foot.

Stain decided to try a different approach apparently, since he hopped up onto one of the side balconies on the buildings on either side. Momo made a mental note to have Todoroki freeze those over too.

The long distance attacks were next, knife after knife flying at them. Momo tried to pull Todoroki behind the shield, and he tried to make one, but neither was fast enough, and she was impaled just above the elbow, while he took three knives to the shoulder.

Now would be a really really great time for Toru to arrive!

"So what's the plan?" Toru's voice whispered in her ear, and Momo nearly screamed. Nearly.

"Hold this shield while I try and patch my arm up before I bleed out or something," Momo replied. "Todoroki, freeze your arm to keep it immobilized until medics can look at it."

Todoroki nodded, and his shoulder was incased in ice. The ice was starting to creep into his hair, and Momo cursed, remembering that since Todoroki refused to use his fire(thanks Endeavor) he was going to freeze before he thought to use fire to keep himself warm.

"Use your fire only internally to keep your body temperature up," she hissed to him, glaring him down in case he thought he could get away with not doing it. He hesitated, then nodded, the ice evaporating from his hair, although the stuff around his shoulder stayed and his lips regained some of their color.

"Gah!" Toru yelled, the shield being pulled away from her as the ice on either side shattered into pieces.

"You're all just weak useless heroes," Stain growled.

Momo shot to her feet, clapping her hands together right out in front of her on some instinct. "STAY AWAY!"

Dark tendrils, like the one that had struck Gran Torino, exploded out of her forearms, launching towards Stain and striking him, throwing him backwards, backwards, with so much force he was impaled onto the ice spikes. There wasn't a way he was alive anymore.

She'd killed him. She'd killed Stain.

(A/N) Yeesh, a heavy one here. For the record I'm not sorry about the teasing. We'll get to aftermat next chapter. This should be fun.
