AN: Hey guys and here's the Second chapter of FAM:Auroran Military codex, note that I've taken some liberties with the uniforms and ranks as well as the doctrine which was based off the ones from HOI4.
Hope you enjoy!
Overview
The Auroran Federal Army is the primary offensive and defensive ground force of the Auroran Armed forces, one of the oldest branches of the Auroran nation; the Federal Army was formed in 1024CE just two decades after the formation of the Auroran Republic.
By 2020CE the Federal Army is a well trained, equipped and dedicated force with only volunteers swelling its ranks. This was impart due to the lessons from the First Continental War in 1867 to 1874 as well as the Second Continental War in 1915 to 1922.
Doctrine
Although the Auroran military doctrine is best described as "Flexible" the army leans more towards Superior Firepower, using well equipped divisions to outlast and overpower the enemy. By the end of the Second Continental the Army had adopted a dual doctrine of integrated support and shock and awe which allowed them to take on the numerically superior COG forces by the time of the Global war in 2012 to 2020.
Uniforms
Dress Uniforms
The standard dress uniform of the Army consists of a black shirt covered by a crisp clean green coat with a white tie and black trousers to complete the outfit along with either a green beret or military cap for head wear.
AN: The outfit mentioned above is based off of the UN military dress uniform from the Muv-Luv Unlimited/Alternative timeline, just with a change of colours.
On duty/Combat uniform
Due to not being used for more formal duties, the standard Combat uniform given to enlisted and low-rank officers are more functional than the dress uniforms. Consisting of a camo-patterned T-shirt, a military cap for head wear and camo-patterned military pants.
Combat gear
The standard Combat Gear for an army trooper is a Kevlar vest to protect against incoming fire, a helmet for protection against debris, a ear piece for communication popureses, advanced HUD glasses for more tactical awareness, knee, elbow and shoulder pads for protection, a rucksack for carrying other pieces of gear and a wrist-mounted low powered computer for squad leaders and specialists.
AN: I made only a rough guess of what a soldier wears from videos on YouTube.
