So long ago

When we looked at the stars

And played in the snow?

Do you remember

When I called out your name?

When I ran towards you

So we could play a game?

Do you remember

On my tenth birthday

When you gave me a necklace

And when you would say,

"Do not forget me.

Please never do.

Because I will never

Forget about you"?

Do you remember

The gleaming specks in the sky?

It was the night before

I told you goodbye.

Do you remember

When you said, "I love you"

And when I smacked you and ran

Because I never knew?

Forever, I'll say that

I certainly do.

I have a hurt

That ties me to you.

I remember that day

I could have told you, "I love you too."

"I wish you good luck."

"Talk to you soon."

But do you remember

How I standed and sobbed

Before you boarded a plane

And had your life robbed?

I remember it perfectly

Although you told me to forget

But that is something

I refuse to let.

I am so sorry

I couldn't tell you back then

Because I didn't know that

I wouldn't see you again.

But it has been two years

If only it wasn't true

You said you wouldn't forget
