Key & Peele Substitute Teacher – 1:32

How I imagined most of you must've reacted when I missed my own due date. AGAIN.

Wow, four months. Where, where the hell did November 20th update go. Oh. I know, it went over my head and into outer fcking space! Cheeztiz Christ, a simple two-week period and I couldn't make that! What the fck!? Also I just realized, this story started in 2017! Four years. FOUR YEARS! AND I'M JUST GETTING TO CHAPTER 30! Should've already been closing in on the recent RWBY episodes or way past them by now but NOOOO! I HAVE TO WRITE LIKE FUCKING A SNAIL!

You know, I am honestly surprised how many of you have stuck with me for this long, with how slowly the progress is, and I am just truly grateful for the continuing support you give to me and this story.

I know my word won't mean shit right now, but I will try my utmost hardest to finish this story. Or should I say volume. Yes, Black Roses will have different volumes. Can't remember if I already mentioned that but if I didn't then there you go. I won't say how many it will have but I can say they are something to look forward to. And I won't be just copying and pasting events from the show into my story, no, I'm changing a lot of the RWBY show for Black Roses.

I'm happy you guys liked my last chapter. I personally felt like I rushed it a bit.

Now some of you have pointed out that Black in the previous chapter seemed very weak. Black is not weak; he is the second strongest person on Remnant at the moment. The reason how Ruby was able to "almost beat him" was due to him lowering his power to match hers so he could enjoy the fight and give the spar she needed. Of course, that still doesn't excuse me for never giving you guys an idea of how much Black's power's grown since the start of his sparring sessions with Ruby and Jaune. I was mainly focused on Ruby and Jaune's growth in power these past chapters. That is why this chapter it will be explaining where Black's power is now.

Well with all that said, let's jump into this chapter.

Disclaimer: I do not own anything of DBZ/DBS or RWBY so please support the official release.

The workers of Remnant have good and bad days. Usually, the good days outweighed the bad ones. Unfortunately for a couple of pilots transporting Dust and weapons to Vale, they were having a really bad day. Bound by their hands and feet they could only sit and watch as the White Fang looted the aircrafts of their cargo.

"Come on you mutts. This stuff should have been hauled out here 5 minutes ago." Roman earned himself annoyed glances from White Fang members. "Sheesh I tell you; you could have all the connections in the world and still won't find any fast-working henchmen." Roman complained to the pilots. Their only response was muffled sounds.

Roman lit a cigar, "I know you guys must be angry with this whole robbery of your Dust and weapons, but I promise you three, they will be in good hands." One of the pilots muffled something in response. Roman gave a nod to a White Fang to remove the cloth.

"Do you really believe you can rob Atlas and get away with it?" The pilot angrily said.

"Uh…yea." Roman replied nonchalantly.

"You might act cocky now, but you and your batch of cronies are done for once General Ironwood gets a hold on you."

Roman couldn't help but laugh at the pilot's words. "If I had a Lien for every time I heard you Atlas folks say that, I'd be as rich as a Schnee." Patting the pilot's cheek. Roman smirked at the man. "You should know that stuff like that doesn't really frighten me."

"Then what about me?" From the sky, Saiyaman descended. His presence causing the White Fang to stiffen and drop what they were doing.

"Saiyaman. Fancy seeing you here."

"I was taking a stroll and saw you here, thought I'd stop by and say hello." Saiyaman responded.

"Well hello to you too. Now if you'd excuse me, I'm in a bit of a tight schedule, why don't we catch up on a different date." Roman suggested, turning to walk away.

"You know I can't let you walk away."

Letting out a sigh Roman glanced down at his scroll. "Where's the kid." He quietly muttered. He turned back to Saiyaman with an annoyed look. "Look I get it's your job to arrest criminals like me, but for once in your life, look the other way. I promise to make it worth your while."

The Remnant walked towards them. "Not happening Ro-." Saiyaman tilted his head out the way of Aura blast before retaliating with a small Ki blast. From the top of one of the Bullheads the White Fang Lieutenant jumped out the way of the incoming blast. The attack connected with the Bullhead creating a small explosion due to the weapons stored inside. The Lieutenant cursed himself for having missed.

From the expression of Saiyaman's visible mouth, Roman could tell he didn't like that. "Hey, can't blame us for trying." He shrugged. The scroll in his hand vibrated, from the corner of his eye he saw a message was sent to him.

"Either you and the others surrender peacefully, or I use a more aggressive approach." Saiyaman says, again walking towards the criminal.

A smirk formed on Roman's face. "Sorry don't really have time to be arrested right now, but if you wanna arrange an appointment for a different date then talk to my assistant here." Immediately Saiyaman jumped back out of the way of a dropkick from Dark Saiyaman before jumping back further when Dark Saiyaman brought his other leg around and followed up with a Ki blast. Saiyaman deflected the blast away with his arm, letting it blow up a good distance away.

"Took you long enough." Roman said.

"I was in the middle of something." Black answered.

"Oh, were you in class? Or possibly on a date perhaps." Black looked over his shoulder. Roman had a feeling he was glaring at him. "Okay, okay, I won't pry. Just buy us some time will you." He says before ordering the White Fang to move double time.

Meanwhile, Gohan stared at his foe with a mix of confusion and caution. How did he get here? He didn't even sense him coming. It's almost as if he just appeared out of thin air. Gohan's raised his guard when the man turned his attention back to him. "I was wondering when you'd show up." No response from the man like usual. "I'll give you the same chance I gave Roman. Surrender now and things don't have to get ugly."

Black scoffed behind his mask. Surrender? Like hell, he will.

Instantly Black dashed straight at Gohan, firing several Ki blasts. Gohan flew back, flipping, ducking, and spinning out the way of the attacks. Black appeared in front of Gohan, bringing his fist down he expected to hit him square in the face but was annoyed at the fact his punch was blocked by Gohan's forearm. Black followed up with lightning-fast punches, Gohan carefully blocking and evading each blow. Unfortunately, Black managed to slip past Gohan's defense and knee him in the gut then following up with a left hook sending Gohan flying back.

The Hybrid angled himself to land on his feet, afterward he raised his left palm blocking Black fist, then raising his right hand to catch the other fist. Gohan spread Black's arms out leaving him open to being kneed under the chin. Gohan followed his attack with several blows to Black face before spinning around for a reverse roundhouse kick. Black dropped back, using his hands to catch himself. Having dodged the kick, he propelled himself up driving both feet into Gohan's gut. He then hurled a Ki blast towards Gohan.

In the air, Gohan effortlessly moved out the way. Black appeared next to him and the two engaged in a high-speed battle. Shockwaves erupted from the clash of fists and kicks. Explosions of Ki blast colliding with each other and hitting the ground, burning the forest around.

Roman watched it all as the Bullhead flew him and the White Fang away. He could practically feel the air shake from the blows they dealt to one another. He shivered at the thought of ever being in a fight like that. "Still have no idea how he does it." Roman muttered. "Hey, pilot! Get us out of here, otherwise, we're going to be caught in the crossfire." The pilot nodded and signaled the other Bullheads to retreat.

Back to the battle, Gohan planted his foot to Black's chest sending crashing into the forest. Gohan dropped down and flew straight at him. From the rubble, Black jumped out and with an underhand throw, he sent serval orbs of Ki to the hero. Seeing the explosions in front of him, Gohan shielded his eyes with his arm from the dust and fire, unfortunately, this left him wide open for Black to fly and kick him up into the sky.

Up in the air, Gohan opened his eyes and gritted his teeth as Dark Saiyaman came chasing. From the corner of his eye, Gohan spotted the fleeing Bullheads. Remembering he initially came here to arrest Roman. "Oh no you don't!" Raising his hand, he fired three Ki blasts towards the Bullheads.

Black blinked in surprise when he witnessed Gohan fire the Ki blasts. Seeing the direction, they were headed he quickly acted. Hurling a Ki blast to Gohan he distracted him long enough to chase after the blast he fired after Roman. Black upped his speed, disappearing and reappearing several times till he was in front of the blasts. Raising his arm, he deflected one away and raised another arm for the blast to hit his hands. While he managed to stop two of the blasts, the third one managed to slip by and hit one of the Bullheads. Luckily for Roman, it wasn't his.

Black watched as the falling Bullhead crashed down. Annoyance was written on Black's face. Sensing Gohan approaching, Black twisted his body out the way of his fist and raised a knee driving it into Gohan's gut before elbowing him down on the back. Gohan fell to the ground but managed to land on his hands and knees. Looking up he gasped when Dark Saiyaman fired small Ki blasts at him. Jumping back, he flew away from the Ki blasts. Black continued to fire more blasts at the Saiyan, forcing Gohan to continue to fly away. While he was firing Black raised his other hand and created a large and powerful orb. He then aimed and hurled the large orb before using Instant Transmission.

Distracted by the small blasts that followed, Gohan failed to notice the incoming Orb till it was right in front of him. Luckily Gohan was fast enough to dodge it but was unaware that Dark Saiyaman was right behind him. Black catching the orb he raised his arm, "Oh No!" then slammed it into Gohan and firing the Orb along with Gohan. "GAAAAAH!" Gohan cried out before it was enveloped by the explosion that followed.

Black glanced down at his hand, humming in thought. From the smoke, a shine of light flashed before a burst of energy blew away all the smoke. Gohan stood tall in his Super Saiyan form, eyes trained on his opponent. His helmet blown off and his clothes had holes in them. Part of the spandex on his left leg was also burned off.

Seeing the Super Saiyan brought a smirk to Black face. "Finally, time to see where I am." Gohan ascended up to the air, his eyes never leaving Black's. Then suddenly Gohan disappeared from sight shocking Black. He quickly sensed him from behind and turned to punch him but missed and received a heavy blow to the gut. Black's eyes flew open from the blow he was just dealt with.

Gohan raised his other hand and with his palm slammed it to the left of Black's face, sending him flying to the side. Gohan gave chase and elbowed Black in the face before delivering a series of punches to his face and gut. Black helpless tried to block the blows but couldn't match the speed of his attacks. Anger began to boil within him, then with a mighty shout Black's aura burst around him driving Gohan back.

With his body now shrouded in his aura, Black charged at Gohan with a pulled-back fist. Gohan raised his arms in front of him with full intent to block the blow but was shocked when Dark Saiyaman within through him. "An Afterimage!" Gohan was then punched in the gut causing a cough up, Black let loose a flurry of punches to the Saiyan's body before ending it with a kick under the chin and a punch across the face. Gohan quickly regained himself and raised his knee to block Dark Saiyaman's knee from hitting him. The two gritted their teeth as small sparks formed from the brief power struggle. Then the two flew away from each other before reengaging in a flurry of punches and kicks. Black was on the bad side of the fight, receiving more hits than he was dishing out. Suddenly Black was kicked across the face, his body spiraling into the forest floor. His body crashed sending dirt and smoke everywhere.

Pushing himself up Black cursed himself for letting himself be hit. His eyes widened when he sensed Gohan closing in fast. Turning around he was met with Gohan's arm wrapping around his waist tackling him through trees and boulders. They reached a large mountain which Gohan drove them into, from another side of the mountain Gohan came bouncing off the ground till he came to a stop. Shaking his head from the brief concussion he had. Raising his head, he was met with a punch to the face, staggering him back. Black raised his arms and bringing them to sledgehammer him but was gasped when Gohan disappeared.

Quickly turning around Black swung his left hand and caught Gohan's left wrist redirecting his Ki blast away. Gohan was shocked at how fast he turned. Was he getting faster? Or was he getting better at predicting his movements? Gohan couldn't dwell much on the thought due to Dark Saiyaman driving his fist into his left side. Gohan gritted his teeth from the pain. Black gripped his arm and began swinging him around before letting go, sending the Saiyan crashing into a boulder.

Black charged one last time. From the pile of rubble, a yellow light slipped through the cracks. "Masenko-HA!" A yellow beam of pure energy came firing from the rubble straight towards Black. The Ex-Kaioshin gawked at the incoming attack, it was too late for himself to stop himself from flying into the blast. The Super attack struck Black in the chest, he along with the attack was sent flying back. From the pile of rubble, Gohan held his right arm outpouring more power into his attack.

Black gritted his teeth, feeling his skin burning from the attack. His back crashed into a mountain; the blast driving him deeper. This whole scene seemed all too familiar to him. Right, Trunks did something like this to him, but before he had Roṥe to help him endure, now he doesn't. Black was driven out the mountain the blast continuing to push him back. He dug his fingers at the top of the blast and began to pull. His body shook uncontrollably as he used more strength, shouting at the top of his lungs he increased his power, his black purplish aura bursting around him. With one more pull, he ripped the blast in half, both sides of the blast crashed and exploded next to him.

Gohan saw the explosion from a distance, aura flaring up he blasted into the direction of the explosion. After reaching his destination he scoured the area using both his eyes and Ki senses. After a good solid minute, Gohan let out a 'tch' dropping out his Super Saiyan form. "He got away, again." This was the third time this man escaped him; he can't afford to let that happen again. He then remembered pilots that were held hostage and the Bullhead that he took down. "Well, at least today wasn't a total loss." He said out loud before taking off.

In Roman's Bullhead, the criminal mastermind checked his scroll, wondering if Black had finished the fight yet. "Hm, maybe I should send a message…. Nah, wouldn't want to bother the guy." As soon as his words left him Black appeared inside the Bullhead. The top right side of his disguise was practically burned off including his gloves. There were scorch marks here and there as well as rips and tears. Removing both his hood and mask Black panted for air, sweat dripping, and blood down his chin. "Whoa, you're a mess. I'm assuming Saiyaman almost got the better of you again." His words earned him a glare from the ex-kaioshin. "Okay, okay, you're angry I get it. Just sit back and relax. We should be reaching Vale in a minute or so."

Taking Roman's advice Black slid down the floor and steadied his breathing. He glanced at his hands, his palms were covered in burns and some bleeding. It was wise to flee than fight Gohan in his Super Saiyan state that time under the highway. He would most likely have lost that battle if he had. But now, thanks to all the spars with Ruby and Jaune he is able to keep up with the Saiyan. Sparing once or twice with someone at their level wouldn't really help him increase his power but doing it practically every day has done its work. Not to mention the boost of power he receives thanks to his Saiyan blood after fighting Gohan those past times. It is due to all that that this battle was not a quick one. But merely keeping up with the Saiyan isn't enough. No, he needs to even the odds or better, surpass him. If his calculations are correct, he needs one more boost of power.

A Zenkai boost of a near-death experience.

Yes, with that he should have enough power to rival the Super Saiyan and finally start making progress in regaining his full power. There's only one problem with his plan. How does he obtain a near-death experience, he can't inflict damage to himself the results wouldn't be the same. If he lowered his power enough, Jaune and Ruby would be strong enough to do it, but then again he highly doubts Jaune has it in him to do it and Ruby… no there's no way he could make her go through that, to watch him at the edge of death. No, no way.

There are Raven and Adam. Raven's Spring Maiden powers are powerful, and Adam's Semblance did manage to wound him in their first bout. But…he doesn't trust them enough to not actually finish him off. There is his last option, Gohan, but there's also a problem with that choice. Gohan could arrest him, take his mask off, or worse finish him off too.

Black sighed in frustration, so close to his goal yet so far. He felt the Bullhead land, making his way to the doors he exited the aircraft and headed to the room where he left his gi. After washing up his face and changing into his gi with some slight difficulty due to his injuries he walked out of the room. "Hey, we could use your help offloading this stuff." Roman said pointing to the cargo of Dust and weapons.

"Do it yourselves." He annoyingly replies walking out.

"Oh…. are you heading back to that thing I interrupted you from?" Roman received no reply back which made the older man chuckled.

Back in Beacon, Blake was currently attending Gohan's some of his injuries. The hybrid hissed and jerked back when she placed the antibiotic ointment on his burned flesh. "Gohan you have to hold still. Otherwise, I won't be able to help clear the infection."

"Right, sorry."

She tried again. Gohan winced as her hand gently rubbed the ointment on the affected area. Any girl would be madly blushing at being able to touch a body like Gohan's. Fortunately for Blake, her mind was more focused on helping her friend. "Thanks again Blake, for helping me out with this." Gohan says.

"No problem. I was surprised when you messaged me if I knew some first-aid practices." Blake smirked. "Isn't knowing how to tend to one's wounds supposed to be something a hero should already know?"

Gohan let an awkward chuckle escape his lips. "Well, I never needed to since all the bad guys I've put in jail were…well weak."

"I see… that's pretty irresponsible and quite arrogant for you to think you will never be hurt like this." Gohan let out another awkward chuckle making the cat Faunus smile. "This might be a dumb question, but why didn't you use your Aura to prevent some of these." Blake asks, switching over to a cotton ball with some alcohol for the cuts.

"I did but…Aura isn't very helpful once it breaks after one hit."

"One hit? And your Aura's is supposed to be one of the strongest in the school. Don't think I ever want to experience a fight like yours then."

It was quiet between the two as Blake continued to tend the rest of his injuries. Finally, she spoke again. "What…what did they do this time?"

"…They hijacked three Bullheads carrying Dust and weapon cargo. They're becoming bolder with their robberies." Blake's eyes cast down, her bow folding down a bit. "Ah s-sorry, maybe I shouldn't have-."

"No, it's alright. I'm the one who asked in the first place. I wanted to know."

Placing a handing on her shoulder he reassured her. "Don't worry Blake, Torchwick will be stopped. Either by me or by you and the others." His words bringing back the cat Faunus's smile.

Gohan placed his shirt back on when Blake finished treating the last injury. "That should help until your Aura restores itself." Blake said, washing her hands.

When the two exited the clinic, they were greeted with a chuckle, "Man the talk that would go around the school if others saw you both exit the same room." The hybrid and Faunus both looking like a pair of deer caught in the headlights quickly turned to the source of the voice.

"Allison!" The double personality Faunus smirked at her nervous teammate, her eyes switching to Blake who wore an unamused expression. "So she confronted you that she knew about your little secret, mister hero."

Gohan tried shushing her, desperately looking around. "Hey come on what if someone heard you?!"

"Relax Gohan, I made sure that no one was around." She assured the hybrid. "Furthermore, you should be worried about that I know too. I do talk a lot when I have a couple of drinks." Her smirk grew at seeing the panic on his face.

"Allison." Blake warned.

"I know, I know. Don't worry Gohan, I was only joking, your secret is safe with me."

Gohan sighed heavily, he's glad she was only joking, but something told him that there was going to be a lot of joking on her part. His eyes fixated on his teammate. Allison hasn't acted differently since the…incident with Black. He thought at first, she was going to lash out at their leader once she had a chance to take over her body but none of the sorts ever happened. Maybe she understood why Black did it and accepted it. He and Yang very much haven't, but they told themselves they would keep what happened that day between the four since Alli and Allison weren't making much of an issue of it. Also, what Black did help Alli. Just a day ago Lewis caught her standing by the edge of the pool ago, absolutely calm and relaxed.

"So what're you doing here?" Blake's voice bringing Gohan out of his thoughts.

"Ice Queen asked me to come find you both. Gohan for that project we all need to turn in for Oobleck and Blake to help fix your grades." Blake turned her gaze away, remembering how much of a pain she was during her…obsessive phase.

"How did she manage to get you to do that favor?" Gohan questioned knowing full well that Allison isn't one to do a favor. Unless…

"She offered me money." She smugly replied causing the two to sweatdrop. "Now come on, those Lien are waiting for me. Oh, and Gohan, a little word of advice. Don't let Yang catch you leaving a room alone with another girl." The hybrid raised a brow not understanding what she meant by that. Blake on the other hand did. "Yea, that's something I would rather much avoid." She muttered.

"Just a bit longer Mr. Black, Ms. Rose." Eby says while she continued to draw in a large sketchbook. In front of her, Black posed as someone reading at a table with a cup of tea sitting in front of him. Ruby sat across him, posing as someone who was working on their weapon. Yes, this was the thing Black was in the middle of when Roman messaged him. He had to apologize to the Faunus wolf and promising her he would be back. Which he did. It was in the morning that the woman Cassidy contacted him and Ruby for Eby. She had entered an art contest and wished to have him, and Ruby be her models for her portrait.

Ruby was more than happy to be Eby's model, and he. He had no issue with being her model. As a matter of fact, he enjoys spending time with the little Faunus girl. It brought a pleasant feeling to the Ex-kaioshin, a similar feeling he gets whenever he's with Ruby but different in a way.

As Eby continued drawing them, a couple of passersby would give them looks of annoyance or some disgust. A quick glare and flare of his dark aura had them running. "Okay! I'm done." Eby announced. Placing their things down they walked around to check out the portrait.

"…"

"Well, what do you think?" She nervously inquired.

"This is really amazing!" Ruby exclaimed.

"I believe, this is might be your greatest masterpiece yet." Their replies had her beaming a smile. "You most definitely improved."

"Thank you."

A faint smile formed on his lips. "When is this contest supposed to take place anyway?" Handing her portrait back.

"It's in two days from now in the evening at 6." She answered.

They noticed how she fidget with her portrait. "Are you nervous?" Ruby questioned.

"…Yea. I never participated in anything like this before."

Black crossed his arms. "Do not worry. You'll do fine."

"Yea, Black's right. The people that have to compete with your art are the ones who should be feeling nervous not you."

Eby let out a short giggle. "Thank you."

Ruby squatted down to Eby's level. "If you want, Black and I could attend the contest. Stand by you if you're still feeling nervous."

Eby's eyes flew open looking at Ruby then at Black. "Really? You'll both come?"

Black eyes switched between Eby and Ruby who both stared up at him. "…Sure, why not." He faintly smiles back.

Eby was about to say something but a robotic voice chimed in. "Wow, that's pretty good." Black's smile disappeared and was replaced with an annoyed look. "Neo!" Ruby said. The Green eye teen smiled and waved at the trio.

"Neo?" Eby questioned Ruby and Black.

"Oh, Eby this is Black's sister, Neo. Neo, this is Eby." The scythe wielder introducing them to one another. Neo waved at the little wolf Faunus. "Hi." Eby meekly waved still a bit shy with new people. Neo typed on her scroll before pressing speaker. "She's cute." Eby hid her red face behind her portrait. "My brother talks a lot about you. How smart, and cute you are." Eby's face became redder though she was happy to hear that. Black's eye twitched expressing his annoyance with the quiet assassin. Neo has seen Black and Ruby hang out with the little girl on a couple of occasions, each time they would be doing something else. It was…cute.

"Neo quit teasing them." Ruby said, the mute girl raised her hands in a defensive manner. "So what're you up to Neo?"

"Just taking a stroll, looking for something good to steal." Neo smirked. Ruby wasn't sure if that was a joke or not. She does have this mischievous feel to her. "You shouldn't steal." Eby finally spoke. "Stealing isn't good."

The scold she received by the little girl took Neo by surprise. Her expression switched to a warm one, quickly typing her scroll she bent down and patted the girl. "Don't worry little wolfy. I was only joking." The bashful girl turned red from the nickname, earning herself a couple of extra cute points in Neo's book. "Actually, I was looking for my little brother here. Need to talk to him about something. It'll just be a second." Ruby looked over to Black who gave her a nod.

"Okay, come on Eby let's give them a minute."

With the Scythe wielder and the little Faunus a good distance away, Black turned to face Neo. "What is it?"

"I did some digging in the school's construction to see if there was anything particular that stood out from today's blueprints of the school, and what do you know? There's a secret lower level underneath the school. Apparently, it was built as a 'shelter' for citizens to retreat to incase the Kingdom was overrun by Grimm or another war broke out. But seeing as that been erased from today's mapping of the school, it must be intended for another purpose."

"The Fall Maiden."

"Yup, my guess, that's where she is being kept hidden. Though, how to get there down there I'm still trying to figure out. Can't be the main elevator because that would to convenient."The disappointed look on Black's face. "Hey, don't give that look. I had to cash in a couple of favors to find out about Beacon's secret lair. You owe me one."

Black scoffed, crossing his arms. "Have you told Cinder any of this?" Neo shook her head in response. "What about the Relic? Any information on that?" Again, Neo shook her head. Go figures, something as important as the Relic isn't going to be that easy to find. He doesn't know how big Ozpin's circle of allies is, but he assumes only a small handful know how the Relics. They could try finding out who they are and capture one and have them reveal the location of the Relic. But that would ultimately put Ozpin on high alert if he would find out. Can't let that happen. "I won't be able to do any more digging on the Fall Maiden or the Relic for some time." Neo's words gaining his attention once again. "I think Emerald and Mercury are beginning to grow suspicious of my disappearance lately. Saw them tailing me a day ago. With Emerald semblance, it'll be hard for me to notice if I'm being followed."

"Right…" Black expressing his annoyance towards the two insufferable teens. Those loyal dogs of Cinder's are going to be a pain if they find out what Neo's doing. "Very well, put your search to a halt for the time being. But keep an ear out of anything big Cinder talks about."

Neo gave him a mocking salute before walking over to Ruby and Eby. "Alright, he's all yours again. Sorry on intruding on your little date. I'll choose a better time to talk to him next time" The mention of the date caused Ruby's cheeks to redden while Black's expression was a mix of annoyance and confusion. "Seya." Neo waved.

"Bye." Eby and Ruby waving back. The redhead turned her head to the wolf girl. "So, is there anything else you need for the art contest?"

"I don't know." Looking up in thought Ruby brainstormed things someone might need for a contest. "Oh! Don't you need really nice clothes to wear for these kinds of things?"

"Yea…but I don't really have any." Eby admitted.

Ruby gave a cheeky smile and ruffled her hair. "Don't worry, we'll get you some."

Eby franticly waved her hands in front of her. "What!? No! You don't have to do that for me!"

"Why not?" Black replied. "This contest is a big and important event for you. Why not look the part?" The Faunus girl was surprised by his reply.

"Yea, though I'm not really the best in choosing what clothes are best for this sort of thing." Ruby says, scratching her head. "Oh, I know! We can ask Weiss to help us out."

"The Schnee?" Black questioned.

"Yea, Weiss was the one who helped me pick out my dress. I'm sure if we ask, she'll help us choose something nice for Eby." As the two began discussing on how to approach the Schnee, Eby stood there smiling up at them.

In the Dark Realm of Remnant, Salem sat at her throne, eyes trained on her Seer projecting images of the Huntsmen following Hazel. "They're still following him? Quite the patient duo they are, sitting, and standing for three days." Arthur Watts commented, walking up to his master. "I have brought the information you requested, regarding these Huntsmen. You will be most intrigued on who they are and what their abilities are."

Salem's eyes moved to the former scientist. He would be lying if he said her cold eyes don't send shivers up his spine anymore. Watts took a step back after handing his scroll to her.

Salem walked to the window, reading the contents of her subordinate's scroll. The entire time Watts watched her. She said nothing, her eyes and fingers only moving to read the next line. The silence was in the room was very chilling. Watts did his best to not let it show that her silence was making him uncomfortable.

After what felt like hours Salem turned to hand him his scroll back. "Thank you, Arthur you've proven again how resourceful you are. You may leave." Bowing to his master the former Atlas Scientist left the room.

Salem gazed out the window of her castle. A small smile presenting itself on her lip. "Oh Ozpin, you must be more careful with how you manage your pieces." Her red eyes glowing brightly at the black bishop piece in her hand. Let the experiment commence.

Returning to Beacon, Ruby approached her partner and explained to her the help she needed from her. After having been told the details concerning Eby's upcoming art contest the Heiress agreed to help pick out a nice dress for the little wolf Faunus.

The next two days went by in a flash. The last class of the day about to finish, leaving only three more hours before the contest. Ruby very anxious to see Eby, she didn't get to see the final dress that Weiss help choose because she told Ruby it would be a surprise.

Eyes on the clock she Impatiently tapped her pencil on the desk, failing to notice the small cracks she was making before. CRACK* Ruby's attention returned to her table, seeing she had driven her pencil through her desk. "Ms. Rose, I would appreciate it if you didn't disrupt the class with the constant tapping of your pencil. And poking holes in the class's desk" Professor Port said.

"Huh?" Ruby's eyes lifted up traveling from her Professor to everyone present in the class. Realizing that she had been causing too much noise Ruby's face turned a shade of red. "Sorry! I was just…sorry." Her voice fading as she tried hiding her face. She glanced over to her teammates and friends. Weiss was shaking her head, Yang, Lewis, and Nora were all snickering, and the others were just confused. Their stares just made her want to hide her face even more.

And like some miracle, the bell rang. "Remember students to finishes your Grimm reports by the next class."

Getting up from her seat Ruby headed to the door with her friends. "So, are we going to talk about what happened back there?" Yang poked at her sister.

"Sorry, I'm just really excited to see Eby tonight."

"She's supposed to attend an art contest isn't she." Blake joined in.

"Yep! And I can't wait to see the cute dress Weiss picked out for her!" Ruby happily admitted.

"You're getting way overexcited." Weiss claimed.

"Says you! You already saw her in her cute little dress. I didn't!" Ruby exclaimed causing the Schnee's eye to twitch annoyingly.

Yang chuckled, "You remind me of mom, with the way you're acting."

"Really?"

Yang nodded her head. "Yup, I remember how excited she and dad would get when they bought new cute clothes for you to wear." Ruby looked away with a red face at having that said out loud causing Yang to snicker.

"Is Eby excited for the contest?" Pyrrha asked.

"She is, but she's more nervous about it. It's her first time entering an art contest." Ruby answered.

"That's understandable." Ren said.

"Hey, we should all go to the contest together." Nora suggested.

"Mm, I don't have anything planned for tonight." Jaune said.

"Me neither," Yang said, the others having the same answer. Ruby felt happy that her friends offered to come and support Eby in the contest. She was sure the little wolf girl will feel the same.

After a short little walk, they all entered the cafeteria to get a bite to eat. At their regular table, they saw Black, Gohan, Lewis, and Alli already finishing up their food. Ruby noticed an annoyed expression on Black's face behind his book. "Hey Black, you okay?"

Gohan leaned in to tell her. "He's alright, it's just that Lewis-,"

"My mom is coming to visit!" The purple-haired to cried out, interrupting the Saiyan half-breed.

"He hasn't shut up about it since this morning." Black angrily said.

Yang sat down next to Saiyan, "You sound excited. Has it been a while since you have last seen her?"

"Mhm, three years, mom goes on missions that take her some time to complete. She stays for a couple of months before leaving again." Lewis explained.

"Huh, kinda sounds like our Uncle Qrow." Yang commented, Ruby nodding in agreement. "Wait, does that mean you live alone whenever she leaves?"

"No, I go live with aunt Glynda whenever mom has to leave again."

"Wow, that must be fun." Yang joked.

From the end of the table, Black watches them begin to converse with each other. He was about to return to his book when sharp pain came from his neck causing to flinch a bit. "What the-."

"It's has been a while since we have last spoken, Black." The chilling voice brought a wave of buried anger rose within him again. He did his best to keep it from showing. "Salem, what do you want."

"Still present that nasty attitude of yours." She commented, earning a growl from Black. "I have need of a task for you to complete tonight." Tonight? Eyes flying open turning to Ruby. No, tonight was Eby's…

Black eyes searched the cafeteria before stopping on a small Grimm spider on the ceiling of the cafeteria. "Contact your other pawns, have one of them do whatever you need. I'm not doing it."

"Oh, are you perhaps occupied with another matter." Black stopped himself from saying anything. He can't say anything about Eby to Salem, he'll be putting her in danger if he did so. Salem is not someone who would pass up an opportunity to chain him down some more. And Eby, if she would get her hands Eby…no, like hell he'll let that happen. "No, I do not." He finally answered.

"Good." Black could feel that she was smiling behind their little mental link, which irked him greatly. "There's a subordinate of mines that will require some assistance."

"What kind of assistance?"

"There are two Huntsmen that have been tailing him for some time now. From what I've seen, they're plotting something. Possibly to capture my subordinate. That can not be allowed. I want you to go an even the odds." There was a suspicious feel to this. If Cinder is someone to go by, the people Salem has chosen to her subordinates are not the type who can be beaten easily by Remnant's standard of Huntsmen. Was there something about these Huntsmen she wasn't telling him? Or something else? "Where is he?"

"North of Vacuo, once you're close, the collar will direct you to him." His eye twitched, he had forgotten about the damn collar she placed on him. He still has to find a way to remove it. "If the Huntsmen try to escape, don't let them." With those final words the mental link disappeared as did the Grimm spider on the ceiling.

Black angrily glared at the table. Damn her. His gaze turned to Ruby, now how is he going to tell her.

The rest of the afternoon went on as normal with the gang preparing to go to Eby's contest. All seemed going well till Black brought the issue of being tardy to Ruby. "What? What'd you mean you might not make it?!" Ruby exclaimed.

Letting out a sigh Black explained. "Neo contacted me not long ago about an issue she needs help with. A family issue." The last few words had more spite in than he desired.

"Is everything alright?" Ruby asked, having picked it up as well.

Black mentally cursed at himself, "Yea."

"Okay…I'll tell Eby you'll be coming late then." Ruby turned to head back to her dorm but stopped to say one last thing. "Black, if something is bothering you know I'm here for you and so are the others."

"I know…"

1 hour later…

Flying across the sky in his disguise outfit Black headed into the direction of where he would be able to pinpoint Salem's subordinate with the collar. Turning his gaze to the surrounding sky. The rays of the sunset brought a beautiful color to the evening sky. If there was something he envied about humanity it was the privilege of witnessing something beautiful as this every day. The sight helped him ease his mind a little of the possibility of missing Eby's contest. He could still make it if just quickly knocks out the two Huntsmen and heads back right away.

As he was flying, an orange streamline appeared in front of him. Looks like he's close. Closing in the destination of Salem's subordinate, Black was rather curious as to who this person is. Besides Cinder, he hasn't met anyone else in her inner circle. Omni's sake, if they're as arrogant and egomaniacal as Cinder then he'll have a hard time not killing them as well.

Flying a little further he spotted a trio of individuals, one of them was larger than the other two. He wore a green olive coat with a black shirt underneath, black pants held up by a large belt, and brown boots. Quite old, maybe around his 40s. He noticed no weapon on him. Must fight without one.

The other two were a bald man and a blue-haired woman. The bald man wore black padded armor with a gray breastplate, dark gray pants along with black boots. His forearms and shins were covered by gray armor as well. The weapon he was possessing was a two-handed double-bladed battle-axe that seemed to fire projectiles Dust from the blade. It almost looked like he was sending slashes of Ki towards his opponent.

The blue-haired woman wore a blue trucker jacket over a white shirt, camo-like jeans cuts in them, and a pair of black gloves and combat boots with blue outlines. Around her neck was a notable purple bandana. This woman was wielding two weapons, in one hand was a short sword, in the other a dagger. From what he can see they didn't seem to have a second function to them.

The two worked together to combat the larger man. Meaning he must be Salem's subordinate. He watched as the woman used her nimbleness and speed to attack the larger man from different angles while the bald one went for a heavier approach.

From the way they were fighting the larger man, they must have already had a plan for fighting him.

The bald man swung his great axe, the large man raised his forearms in front of him taking the attack, the force behind the swing caused him to stumble back. From above the woman spun down and slashed at the larger man's arms. When she landed, she quickly jumped, bringing her blades up slashing him some more before kicking off from a fist that was thrown at her.

Having failed to hit her the man's attention return to his other opponent, just in time to catch the battle-axe by the haft but was still hit by the fire slash that fired from the blade. The larger man narrowed his eyes, grabbing the bald man by the breastplate he lifted him over and slammed him to the ground. He was about to lift his foot stomp him but quickly noticed the woman jump at him. He threw a fist at her but yet again missed when she angled herself to fly over his arm, slashing his back when she was behind him. Landing with a roll she turned around, her eyes flew open and she flipped back from a spinning backhand fist. The bald man took the opportunity of the larger man's distraction, locking his battle-axe into place on his back he ran and tackled the larger man from behind, lifting him up for the woman to jump and knee him in the face. As the larger man fell back the woman turned to face him and plunged her blades into the man's chest. Surprisingly enough his Aura held.

The woman let out a 'tch', the man quickly raised his leg and kneed her in the face. Stumbling back, she was grabbed by the ankle and hoisted up, and slammed into the ground before thrown at her companion. The bald man slid under her thrown partner, rushing at the larger man prepared to swing his battle-ax again but received a kick from behind which sent him flying. He landed with a grunt and picked himself back him. The bald man and blue-haired woman both eyed the newcomer.

Black glared at the two Huntsmen before turning his attention to the larger man behind him. "You must be the one she was sending." The large man spoke.

"And you, her other pawn." Black replied.

"A friend of yours Hazel?" The bald man called out. Patting the dirt off his armor.

"…Acquaintance." The man now known as Hazel answered.

"Your acquaintances got quite a handsome face." The blue-haired woman said, holding up, his mask?! Immediately reaching up to touch his face he felt it exposed. When the hell did she…?! The blue-haired woman smirked at his reaction. "So that's what the infamous Dark Saiyaman looks like. Quite young are you." The bald man said, earning himself a glare from Black.

Black kicked off at high speed towards the woman but blinked with surprise when he grabbed nothing but air. Looking to this right he saw her standing there with that same smirk. How is she moving so quickly? He's not even sensing her move.

"Hm. I heard rumors about you. Ms. Abigail." Hazel's voice grabbing the attention of three. "Rumors of your incredible and rare Semblance. A Semblance that is mistaken for increased speed. You can stop time." Black turned his surprised expression to the woman.

"Oh, looks like someone's been doing their homework. Tell me, who told you about my Semblance? Cause only a small handful know about it, and I wanna know who's been talking." She said with a threatening tone. Hazel stayed quiet. "Fine, I'll just have to beat it out of you then."

Black ignored the little exchange between Hazel and the woman as he was still trying to come to terms with how a mere human could possess the ability to stop time. It would explain how he was unable to detect her removing his mask and evade his grab. He's only heard of a select few races that possessed such power and one induvial who utilized that same skill for their own business. Frankly, this woman's power was weak. Any attack that comes from her will be absolutely ineffective against him. Still, it's going to be annoying having to get close to her. She seems to know when he was about to move, probably trained herself in noticing the faintest movement of someone about to attack. Impressive that she was able to detect his as well. "I hope you don't actually think you can win this fight."

The woman smiled. "I'll admit, fighting you two, especially you will be the hardest thing we've ever done. But don't think for a second that we won't try. Besides, you never know, anything can happen in a fight." Black narrowed his eyes at her becoming somewhat suspicious by those words. "Well then, shall we get started?" She said, readying her blades by her sides, her partner doing the same. Black let out an annoyed Tch.

Up in Beacon Tower, Glynda was staring out the headmaster's window. Recollecting past memories of an old friend. "Come on Glynda, it's only for one class period, you're not going to flunk the year just for that."

Glynda rubbed her temples with a sigh, "We're still going to be in trouble if someone of the faculty catches us. Plus, this is our last year before we graduate, we should be at the top of our responsibility and leave an example for the younger years. Not doing, whatever it is we are doing."

"Ugh, you're so uptight, see this is why you haven't had a boyfriend all these years and why I had to be your date in every Ball."

Glynda's face flushed red as she looked away. Her friend led her to an apartment complex, upon reaching a door Glynda's friend opened it and beckoned the rod wielder to enter. "Whose apartment is this?"

"Mines."

"You have an apartment?"

Her friend grinned, "Yep, saved up a lot of mon-,"

"How did you really."

"I won it in a bet in last year's Vytal Festival." Her friend answered truthfully.

Glynda rolled her eyes, "So what are we doing here anyway?" Her question was answered when she saw a baby crawl around the corner. The little child smiled and crawled towards them. "Wha—whose child is this?"

The rod user's friend picked up the baby and held him in her arms. "Glynda, I want you to meet Lewis, my son." She said with a grin.

"You have a son?! Since when?!"

"I adopted him a week and a half ago. I saw his little face and I couldn't resist the temptation to snuggle in his little baby cheeks!" She said rubbing her face into the baby's cheeks which made the baby laugh. "Before I knew it, I signed the adoption papers and took him home with me."

"Are you serious!? He's a lifelong commitment that will need your undivided attention! And you're about to become a Huntress, you won't have the necessary time to raise him!" Glynda stated.

"I know, managing in being a mother and Huntress will be extremely hard for me to do alone. So that is why you're going to help me raise him." Glynda was handed the child who giggled at seeing a new face.

"What! Me!? When did I ever agree on this?!"

"What do you mean? That's what best friends are for, to help the other in their times of need. Aw look little Lewis really likes you." Goodwitch looked down at the child who was smiling happily. She would be lying if she said she didn't feel her heart skip a beat from the face. The child tried reaching over to touch her face.

"Now, I have to go for like a week or two," Glynda's head turned toward her. "The Headmaster is sending my team and I on a mission. I left all the instruction on the table." Her friend said as she was heading to the door.

"Wait, I can't—I have classes in the afternoon and my team is supposed to have a training session!"

"Don't worry, I sent a note to the professors and your team that you were called back home for a family matter."

"You what!?" Glynda's angry shouting caused the baby to giggle.

"Makes sure he goes to bed by 7. Thanks, Glynda!" Her friend waved before leaving. Glynda Goodwitch was left standing there with a giggling child, trying to come to terms with the responsibility she was left with. Looking down at the child she sighed, "Your mother doesn't ever seem to stop putting new troubles on my plate. I just hope you won't be like her." The baby giggled as he understood her.

The elevator doors opened, walking inside was Ozpin. His eyes caught sight of his staff member standing by the glass window. She had not noticed him enter his office. Approaching the combat professor, he called her name. "Glynda?"

The headmaster's voice worked in bringing her back to reality. "Professor Ozpin, forgive me I was…thinking."

Ozpin noticed a troubled look in her eyes. "Is something wrong?"

Glynda stayed quiet for a moment as if she wasn't sure how to answer that. "…Has there been any word of her?"

Ozpin mentally sighed. So that's what's troubling her. "I'm sorry Glynda, I haven't heard anything from her yet." The news didn't seem to sit well with the Huntress.

"The last update she sent us was that she and Henry were following Hazel. What if she finds out about them? You know, what she's capable of."

Indeed, he knew, Salem's ways at getting those who stand against her were…nightmarish. Still, they can't afford to have those kinds of negative thoughts. They must always have hope that their comrades would always return safely. Ozpin placed a reassuring hand on his colleague's shoulder. "She'll be fine Glynda."

Glynda's eyes leveled with the headmaster for a second before returning to her scroll. The name of Abigail at the top of the contact list. Glynda praying that this will not be another Summer Rose incident.

Evading the sharp blades of the Huntress with a backward skip Black disappeared and reappeared behind the older woman, bringing his leg around he aimed to hit her head but missed when she disappeared. Black let out an annoyed 'tch'. Soon as his foot touched the floor, he skipped to his left out the way of Abigail's blades. The Huntress chased after him swinging her blades with a mix of spinning and slash attacks. Black gritted his teeth as he continued to evade her attacks, annoyance creeping in. Seeing an opening in her attacks he went for a fist but landed nothing. He twisted his body from the blades that came from behind. Damn that Semblance of hers.

With the other battle right next to theirs, Hazel parried Henry's axe and countered with a heavy right hook knocking him to the side. On his side he rolled back to his feet and swung his axe, sending a fire dust slash at the older man. Hazel crossed his arms and took the slash head-on. Flames burst from the impact and covered the area around them. Hazel narrowed his gaze at the Huntsmen. Seeing Henry run at him again Hazel prepared himself for another attack. Jumping up the bald man brought his axe down, Hazel stepped out the way. The force of the axe hitting the ground sent dirt up in the air. Hazel threw a fist, the man responded by raising his weapon and using the hilt to block the blow. His feet dug into the ground. With his free hand Hazel grabbed Henry by the face, lifting him up he slammed him to the ground. "Enough, give up." Hazel said.

Henry chuckled, "Sorry, can't do that." He gripped his axe and swung it upwards. Hazel leaned back but received a double kick to his gut. Stumbling back Hazel took steps back evading each of Henry's swings, using his forearm to block a couple.

The Huntress saw her having trouble with Hazel, using her Semblance, Abigail stopped time to jump over Black's Ki blade that was thrust at her. Landing on the ground she rushed to help her friend. Time resumed again and Abigail had to quickly duck when Black brought his Ki blade back around. She was unfortunate to receive a kick to the face when she ducked. She flipped herself back up, eyes widen when Black fired a Ki orb. She rolled out the way but was still knocked back from the explosion that came afterward. Hazel raised his arms to cover his eyes from the debris being sent everywhere.

A cloud of dust surrounded the battlefield, Black walks forward, eyes scanning the area. His ears picked up movement in the air, from the cloud of dust Henry came down with his fire axe. Black hopped back letting the axe strike the ground. Henry quickly lifted his axe and swung it around. Black casually raised his hand and effortlessly caught the weapon by the blade. "This is pathetic. What can you do?" Before Henry could react, he received a strong kick to the gut causing him to cough up saliva. Landing on his back, he clutched his abdomen. Weak eyes stared up at the approaching villain.

From the cloud of dust, Abigail was battling Hazel, her eyes caught sight of her friend. "Henry!" She shouted before dodging Hazel's fist.

Black reached down and picked up Henry by the neck. "You should've tried escaping when you had the chance." Referring to the cloud of dust that formed from the explosion.

Henry weakly smiled. "Was that what you were hoping we would do?"

"It would've been the smart thing to do seeing how outclassed you and your partner are in this fight."

"And yet we're still standing." Black narrowed his eyes and tightened his grip. "Krk, alright…time for plan B.," Henry said between what little air he had. Gripping Black's wrist, a strange sensation coursed through Black's body, Alerted by this Black tossed him to the side before strangely gazing down at his hand. "What the hell was that?" He softly questioned.

Henry picked himself up, his eyes showing a moment of confusion in them before returning to a cocky expression. "You seemed jumpy there for a second. What could I possibly have done to get a reaction like that from the infamous Dark Saiyaman." Henry taunted with a smirk. Black narrowed his eyes; in a blink of an eye, he was in front of him. Delivering a strong kick to the ribs, breaking his Aura in the process Black sent Henry flying. Landing on his side Henry coughed up blood. "Hmph," Black turned to take care of the woman but before he could take a step, Black felt a strong blow hit his ribs, a gasp escaped his lips as his eyes widen with shock and pain. Black stumbled to the side before finally regaining his balance. Holding his side he looked around with gritted teeth trying to find who was responsible for the attack.

Chuckling came from behind him, "What's wrong? Something hurt you?" Black stared at the Huntsman cautiously. From behind Abigail came spiraling down. Sensing her Black skipped to the side. Henry picked up his axe and ran at him, bringing his axe down. Black disappeared from sight, letting the axe imbed itself into the ground instead.

Black appeared behind Henry, with his foot he swept Henry off his feet. Before he could fall Black kicked straight in the back, again sending flying. Immediately after his attack, the ex-kaioshin felt a strong blow hit his back. Black stumbled forward before falling to his hands and knees. Looking back, he saw nothing. Twice, twice he felt someone attack him but couldn't see or sense anyone. Both happened when he finished his attacks.

Black glared at the man as he stood back up. "What the hell is this?"

Henry picked himself up chuckling before replying. "My Semblance…Link" The answer caused Black's confusion to deepen. "Linking two Souls to each other so that one can experience what other felt. In other words, any attack you inflict on me you'll feel it too with double the results."

Blinking in surprise at the revelation of the man's Semblance Black clenched his fists. So those two blows he received, those were the works of his own attacks but double the effect. It's practically the same as Xiao Long's only difference is that she needs to hit the target for her Semblance to deal its damage. 'Tch' so that sensation he felt when he grabbed his wrist must've been him connecting their souls. Damn it, again with the Souls! "Originally I was supposed to use my Semblance on Hazel. You see his Semblance renders him unable to feel pain, with my Semblance we were hoping to outmatch his. But then a viable target showed up, you." Black stared at the man. "I know those two blows you received won't be enough to put you down, but I'm sure after a couple more attacks you'll start feeling it. Defeat nearing. Then again you could turn tail and run before." Henry couldn't finish his sentence due to receiving a punch to the gut sending him crashing a good distance away. Black stood where he last stood with an annoyed glare. His body jolted at the feeling of a blow to his gut forcing him to cough up saliva.

"D…Damn it…" He

Henry mockingly chuckled at seeing the villain clutch his gut in pain. Anger rose within the ex-kaioshin.

Ruby looked around the large room of art displays, eyes catching sight of her friends looking at the displays. Her eyes then looked down next to her, Eby, was wearing a cute royal blue swing dress with half-length sleeves. On her neck a diamond blue and yellow emerald necklace courtesy of Weiss. The little wolf Faunus was trying her utmost best not to look nervous causing the scythe wielder to smile. Checking her scroll again she saw it was 5:40. A sigh escaped her lips. "Ms. Rose, is everything okay?" Eby asked, seeing the troubled look on her face.

"Huh? Oh yea, everything okay." Ruby assured.

The little wolf Faunus looked around the gallery seeing that one face was missing. "I don't see Mr. Black."

"Oh Black, he's um…" Ruby trying to find the right words to explain to her without disappointing her. Unfortunately, her lack of response gave a different impression. "He's not coming is he." Eby's ears dropping down.

Ruby immediately went to correct the misunderstanding. "No! No, no, he's definitely coming. He's just running a bit late that's all." Her words didn't seem to lighten her up. Ruby turned Eby to her, "He's going to come Eby. There's no way Black's going to miss your big day." Ruby said, her warm smile reassuring her.

"Excuse me," A voice sounded. In front of them was a man and woman. Husband and Wife? "Is this portrait yours?" The man asked.

Ruby waved her hand in denial. "Oh no, I didn't draw this. She did." Gesturing to Eby.

"You drew this?" The woman asked in surprise. Eby took a step back behind Ruby her nerves getting the better of her. Ruby smile down, "Hey, come on, there's nothing to be shy about." Softly pushing her back front. Eby nervously looked between the pair in front of her and then to Ruby. Taking a deep breath, she relaxed. "Yes, I drew this."

The woman seemed to very impressed while the man held a doubtful look. "Quite hard to believe such a drawing can come from someone so…young." The man said which earned him an elbow from the woman. "Believe me, sir, I thought the same thing when I first saw her drawings but when I actually saw her draw I was beyond amazed." Ruby said.

"If she really is the owner of this drawing, then she wouldn't mind drawing a portrait of my wife and I." The request taking Ruby and Eby by surprise. "I'm not saying the portrait has to be perfect. I just would like to have some proof that this was made by her." Ruby didn't like how this man was doubting Eby. But before she could say anything back, Eby spoke first.

"I don't mind. Would you like to be standing or sitting?" She asked.

"Sitting please." The man said. The wife offered an apologetic smile to Ruby which she returned with an expression that read no worries. The scythe wielder watched as the little faunas began her drawing of the couple. Her little show of artistic talent caught the eyes of folks walking by. Little by little a small crowd gather behind little Eby all wearing a face of amazement of this young artist skill.

Weiss, Gohan, Ren, Yang walked up from behind. "Quite the crowd you to got here." Gohan said.

"Will she be alright, you know, being in the center of attention of all these people?" Weiss asks having known what's liked to be in a crowd like this.

"It doesn't look like she's noticed the people standing behind her." Ren said.

"That's because her focus is only on her drawing and the two people in front of her. She's enjoying herself." Ruby stated.

Yang leaned towards her sister with a smirk. "So, did you plan for this to happen?"

"Nope," Emphasize on the p, "This was all Eby's doing." The little faunas no longer looking nervous but was rather smiling. The sight of seeing the little shy girl having fun brought much happiness to Ruby's heart. She would've kept smiling but the thought of Black not present here erased that smile she had. "Where are you Black?"

Black slid back with a grunt before falling onto one. Blood and sweat dripped down his chin, slightly panting from the attacks he received. Growling he glared at his foe. The Huntsman Henry was in the worst of shape; broken arm, cut lip, swollen eye, bruises, and blood all over his body. His clothes were in no better shape. Black was baffled at how this man was still standing. This didn't make any sense, granted he was holding back but the force he was putting into his attacks is still enough to shatter mountains. So how the hell is this man withstanding them!?

Henry noticed the annoyed look on Black's face and despite all his injuries he still managed to let out a chuckle. "Not going as you hope it would huh?" Black said nothing but glared at the man. Henry gave a weak grin, "Truth be told…his attacks should've killed me a while ago. But my Semblance…has a second use to it…it allows my body to match the endurance level of the one I'm linked with, but only for a short period of time, still, these attacks hurt like hell. Damn, I can feel my Semblances reaching its limit too. Can't give out now, if I do, he'll finish me off and go after Abigail next." Glancing over to his partner who was battling Hazel, "Can't let that happen… Whelp, I was always curious on whether this would work or not."

Black was trying his best to control the anger boiling within him. It was completely outrageous how much damage he's taken and from a mere human too! ...Calm, he needs to calm himself, letting his anger get to him will do him no good. Wiping the blood from his lips Black calmed himself before looking back to the Huntsman.

His Semblance while a complicated one to counter does seem to have a limit. The Linking's ability in dealing double the damage its user receives to the opposer has been weakening its output. Not much, but enough for him to notice the drop of power in them. But even with the ability weakening it still packs a punch, as expected from his own attacks. There is something he noticed from their exchange, a brief window between his attacks and the Semblance's ability taking effect. It's a small window but he could kill him before his Semblance kicks in. Before Black could ponder the idea any further movement from Huntsman caught his attention.

With a raised brow Black watched the Huntsman injecting himself with something. Not waiting to find out what it was Black instantly appeared in front of Henry and drove his elbow to his gut followed up by a knee to the chin and ending with a sidekick. Henry rolled across the ground before settling on his stomach. The body didn't move making Black to think he had killed him then the effects of the Semblance came. Black's body stiffened up as he received two blows to the front and one to the chin. Stumbling back, he looked back to see the Huntsman already standing back up with much difficulty as before.

Abigail slid underneath Hazel's fist, slashing her blades across his side before turning around and bring one blade up to his back. Hazel swung his arm around but missed due to the Huntress flipping away. His eyes traveled from the Huntress to his ally.

Black waited for the Huntsman to fully stand up. Like before Henry let out a weak chuckle. "Is that…all you got? Got to say…I'm pretty disappointed…I thought you'd kill me by now. But before you do. I got a question for you…Who's other soul is that?" Black rose a brow at the question. Other soul? What is he talking about? "Not gonna tell huh, whelp, maybe after a couple of more hit from my semblance will get you talking. Unless…you high tail out of here."

Those final words were all annoyance he could hand. Remembering the small window he went for it. "Fuck you." Lifting his hand, he fired a Ki blast that tore through Henry's body leaving a gaping hole. The Huntsman's body stood still for a moment before falling to the floor. Out the corner of her eye Abigail witnessed her partner's murder. "Henry!" Using her Semblance, she quickly made her way to her dead comrade. Her eyes scanned for any possible sign that he was alive but the large hole through his body was making that impossible to believe. But then her eyes caught sight of an empty syringe in his hand. "An adrenaline syringe, why does he—wait!" Looking back to young teen she saw Black fall to his knees. Hazel's eyes widen.

Clutching his chest Black's gasped for air, his body shaking violently as he tried to fight off the attack occurring within.

Black coughed out blood. "This isn't possible! He was dead there was no way the Semblance could have taken effect! No, that syringe he injected himself with, it must've had something that prevented him from dying long enough for the Semblance to activate!" Black felt his strength fading his vision becoming blurry. "No. no, NO! I am not going to be brought down but some damn human!" Mustering all his strength Black shakingly stood back up. Glaring at the two humans up ahead. With a shaky arm he lifted his hand and prepared a Ki blast with the full intention of finishing them both off.

Abigail was shocked that this guy was fighting the Linking's ability to this extreme. She prepared herself to use her Semblance. Then something happened. Black froze, his body no longer shaking. He stood still with shocked lifeless eyes before falling forward.

The Huntress couldn't believe it, "It worked. It actually worked."

Hazel stared at the unmoving body of his ally, walking to him he checked his pulse. Frowning he stood back up. "He's gone." It's a good thing he wasn't the one the Huntsman Linked with otherwise it would've been him on the ground dead.

This isn't good, Hazel wondered what Salem will do now that their greatest ally against Remnant's Hero was gone. His eyes shifted to the Huntress who stood back up ready to resume the fight. "We don't have to do this. Leave and you live."

Abigail contemplated his advice. She can't beat him, not with her abilities, Henry was the only one who had the right Semblance in defeating this man. She should take this chance he's giving and leave, tell Ozpin about what happened here. But before she could say or do anything, she noticed something happening with the teen's body. "W-What's happening to him?"

Hazel's attention returned to the body behind him. There was black tar seeping from the ground and entering the boy's body. Hazel immediately recognized the black tar. "Salem." What is she doing? The tar continued to absorb into Black's skin, not long all the black tar disappeared into the teen's body. Moments later Black gasped and shot up to his feet. "What…what happened?" He asked out loud gazing at his hands.

Abigail was completely shocked. "He…he's alive." Hazel wore a similar expression as the Huntress but soon regressed back to a normal one.

Black continued to look at himself, trying to piece together the puzzle of his, resurrection? He felt the last of his strength fade along with his conscious when he was about to fire that Ki blast, did he not succumb to the Huntsman's Semblance? "Oh, you were about to, but I made sure you didn't cross that line."

The ex-Kaioshin immediately recognized the voice. "Salem?!"

In the trees behind the eyes of a Grimm Spider, the Grimm Queen smiled. "Did you really think I would let a Huntsman take you from me? No. You are a valuable asset to my plans, Black. I need you to stay alive for those plans to achieve success, as well as the experiments that I have planned. Like this one." Black wasn't left with any time to think about what she meant by that as a powerful dark sensation erupted from inside. The collar on his neck appearing once again. Black let out grunts of pain as something began coursing through his body causing his veins to turn black and pop out. His grunting soon turned to fierce growls as he began to twitch uncontrollably. He could feel something clawing his mind, something alive trying to take over. Black tried fighting it, but the power just kept increasing. Gripping his head in pain Black gritted teeth. His black purple began aura flaring up, the wind picked up from the power emanating from him. What was happening to him caused Hazel and Abigail to step back.

Black's grunts and growling slowly becoming demonic-like. Stumbling forward a bit Black fell to his knees holding himself in pain, punching the ground a couple of times, he felt his mind slowly losing itself. His hair flared up.

Abigail couldn't believe what she was seeing. She soon found herself unable to stand as the very ground began to shake.

Black clutched his head, resisting, resisting, before finally letting out a scream of pain and his power exploding. His dark aura surging around him the wind tearing trees down. Abigail was forced to stab her sword into the ground to keep herself from being blown away. Hazel grabbed onto a nearby tree that was managing to withstand the violent winds.

Over in Vale panic screams were heard throughout the Kingdom as the tremors became more violent. "Go! Everyone out!" Pyrrha shouted to the people inside the art building.

Part of the ceiling broke off above Eby. In a blink of an eye, Ruby wrapped her arms around her and jumped out the way. "Eby, are you alright?!" The little wolf Faunus nodded her head. She saw how the ceiling was giving out and made for the exited.

Yang and Jaune carried an old elderly couple outside. Gohan stayed behind to make sure everyone was leaving. "What's going on?! This is worse than last time." Weiss exclaimed.

"I don't know! But we have to get everyone out of here!" Ruby shouted from the exited. Seeing that the front entrance was getting crowded Nora busted down a wall, Ren guided the remainder of the people out of the torn-down wall.

Gohan gritted his teeth. Weiss was right, this was no ordinary Remnant shake, no this was entirely something else. But what?

After the release of his power, Black began laughing manically with an insane look. Black substance oozed from the cracks in his skin, the skin on his left hand began rotting off and replaced with a Grimm-like appearance. Black laughter mixed with screams of agony continued to echo the night, his aura still destructively surging and growing in size.

The smile Salem had vanished and was replaced with a shocked expression. "This energy, how does he possess this power!?" She was cut short as pain shot up her right arm, the chain symbolizing her hold on Black appearing with red sparks. She grunted and clutched her arm as the pain increased tenfold. Roars came from outside of her castle before a beam struck her throne room.

Black's head shook violently as black tar seeped from his right eye before exploding jerking his head back. Black clutched his eye as if he was in pain but continued to laugh insanely. The claws of his Grimm hand ripping away the flesh of his face then tore off the sleeve and skin off his right arm. His laughter and cries now sounding more demonic than before. His power surged once more till it exploded once again, this time blowing Hazel and Abigail away.

After a while, the wind stopped, and everything began to settle down. From within tree debris Abigail pulled herself out. Hers widen in shock at the destroyed forest. All this destruction just from him powering up!? Her eyes stopped on the figure that stood in the middle of all the destruction. A look of absolute fear befell her face.

Hunched over, Black straightens up revealing his new features. His skin was now a deadly white. His entire right arm up to his shoulder pure Grimm, his left hand to his elbow was stuck between Grimm and normal flesh. The right side of his face was replaced with Grimm plating and a demon-like horn curved upwards from his left temple.

Abigail could not stop the shivering fear that spread throughout her entire being. Her instincts were telling her to run as far and fast as she could from this place, but it was also telling her not to make the slightest movement or else she would be killed. Her eyes were ripped away from the Grimm human hybrid to the movement occurring to the left of the teen. From the torn trees Hazel emerged pushing branches away. His eyes landed on Abigail, noticing the fearful expression on her face he moved his gaze to the teen. Having seen many of the atrocities Salem has created he wasn't stricken with the same fear as the Huntress but was still vastly shocked by what stood before him.

Black opened his left eye revealing a black sclera eye with a red pupil, a red pupil also appearing in the empty socket of his right eye, both eyes emanated an ominous red glow. For seconds, Black did nothing but stare at the Huntress. Then his passive expression morphed into a sadistic grin, the right side of his mouth stretching further than his left. His teeth holding a dangerous sharpness to them.

With the grin still plastered on his face, Black tilted his head and leaned forward. Abigail felt her instinct scream at her to move. Using her Semblance, she stopped time and rolled to the left. When time resumed again a powerful shockwave erupted, sending her flying back. When she landed, she turned around only tremble in fear yet again. Where she last stood laid nothing, everything that was behind her moment's ago was gone only dirt remaining. "He destroyed everything with a single punch…" Her attention returned to the teen when he crooked his head to face her with the same sadistic grin. Again Black leaned towards the Huntress. Abigail quickly stopped time and dodged to the left but felt something off. Looking down her eyes widen at the sight of her right arm gone. Abigail fell on her side and cried out in agony.

In his hand he held the dismembered arm of the Huntress. With a grin, he took a bite of the arm and dropped it on the floor. Chuckling crazily at the sight of crying Huntress.

Hazel did nothing but stand by. What could he do? The boy that with him moment was clearly gone and replaced with this… thing. Even if they both serve the same person there was a small chance that the Grimm could turn on him as well if he says anything. Best remain quiet. That woman should've left when she had the chance.

Black walked towards the downed Huntress. Lifting his foot he stomped on the Huntress's stomach causing her to gasp and cough up blood. With the same foot he kicked her through several trees.

Abigail felt herself unable to move, unable to feel anything. That one kick breaking every single bone in her body. There was nothing she could do now. Nothing at all. Her eyes stared up at the sunlight that shined through the leaves. A small smile formed on her face. "Heh, ya know, this was going to be my last mission before retiring and spending the rest of my life at home, with my kid." The shadow of Grimm Black loomed over her. Abigail let out a weak chuckle. "I know for a fact someone back home is going to be pissed at me for dying." Black lifted his hand and prepared a Ki blast. Seeing her end nearing she closed her eyes and smiled sadly. "I'm so sorry, for not spending more time with you…Lewis." The light of the Ki blast enveloped Abigail and the entire forest before erupting in a large explosion.

Hazel braced himself as the shockwave came full force.

Moments after the blast the dust settled. Standing in the middle of disintegrated forest Black grinned then burst in a fit of laughter. His laughter seized, lifting his gaze to the sky Black blasted off. Leaving Hazel alone, his eyes roamed the area, nothing absolutely nothing was left standing. "Salem, what have you created."

With the Remnant shake over some Vale citizens began searching for people trapped under collapsed buildings, some helping others with injuries they've obtained, and some still coming to terms with the event that transpired.

Gohan removed some heavy debris from a collapsed building. His eyes saw a hand underneath more debris. "I got another one!" She shouted, quickly firefighters rushed over to help free the person. With some effort they managed to remove more debris and pull the person out. The man was carried over to an area where more paramedics were attending injured civilians.

Jaune was passing around water to people, Weiss and Pyrrha were helping paramedics with attending the injured. Nora, Ren, and Yang were helping search for other people trapped under the rubble.

Ruby was sitting next to sleeping Eby with an arm around her shoulders. Jaune approached the two, "Here," handing a bottle of water. The scythe wielder thanked him and opened it. "How's she doing?" Jaune asked.

"She's fine now." Ruby looked down at the sleeping little girl, wiping some dust off her face. "Where are the others?"

"Doing all they can to help everyone. But I think we're gonna have to take some of these people to Beacon. They got a medical team over there that could help them." Jaune answered. Ruby thought about going to help with but the thought of leaving Eby here alone was just… Jaune saw the trouble look on her face. "It's alright, we got this. You just stay here with Eby. She needs you right now." Ruby nodded.

When Jaune walked away Ruby's brushed a hair from Eby's face. She checked her scroll, seeing nothing new she placed it back down. Her gaze lifted to the night sky, thoughts returning to the absences of the older teen.

Screams of terror echoed the night as men, women, and children tried running from their burning town only to be blasted to oblivion from the many Ki blasts raining down. From the sky, Black laughed maniacally as he continued to fire more Ki blasts before blasting off into the direction of another town.

Town after town Black blasted, sliced, ripped, and beat everyone to death, their screams bringing a sickening joy to the Grimm Hybrid. During his rampage, he came across two Atleisan bases which he wasted no time in massacring everyone inside.

Soldiers desperately fired their weapons at the Grimm only to be sliced in half by Black's Ki blade. He grabbed a soldier by the shoulder and drove his blade into him before turning to fire a Ki blast at Bullhead that was taking off. The Bullhead exploded and crashed on top of some Atlesian Knights.

Feeling more bullets hit him, he turned and hurled the corpse at pair of soldiers, killing them. He disappeared and reappeared in front of more soldiers. Ripping the arm of one he used it as a club to hit two soldiers before backhanding a soldier's head clean off. He grabbed another soldier by the neck and leg and ripped him in half. An Atlesain Knight came from behind swing its sword down it attempted to behead the Grimm only for its blade to shatter upon impact. Turning around, Black grabbed the Knight by the head tore it from its body. Using the Knight's head he repeatedly smashed it into the face of another soldier, after a couple of seconds Black seized his action when he felt the body no longer responsive. Dropping the Knight's head he turned to more soldiers and Atlesian Knights.

Black continued his carnage tearing and slicing through every soldier and machine his eyes laid on. A soldier desperately tried to crawl away, Black approached the man, grabbing his arms he ripped them out of their sockets. The man cried out in absolute agony before being silenced by Black's foot crushing his skull.

After killing the soldier, the Grimm Hybrid leaped into the air chuckling as he gazed down at the destruction and death he caused. He saw some surviving soldiers attempt to help their fallen comrades while others cried out in pain from their amputated and broken limbs. The Grimm was about to resume his carnage but stopped when he noticed something big in the sky. It was an Airship, a couple of miles to his left. The chance to kill more brought a sickening grin to the Grimm's face. With Ki in his Grimm hand, he tossed an orb of Ki behind him before taking off towards the Airship. An explosion erupted that engulfed the entire Atlesian base along with a large portion of the forest.

Passengers on the Airship looked in awe and worry at the enormous explosion that just occurred. Some of them wondering if it was Grimm or the Atlas military conducting a weapons test. All of a sudden, all the passengers were sent to the ground after something crashed into the Airship. People screamed in terror as the Airship rocked violently. One of the passengers saw a glimpse of something outside.

Up in the air Black came down at full speed into the Airship tearing through everything inside. The damage causing an explosion to go off and the Airship to lose altitude. People held onto dear life as the ground came closer and closer until... CRASH!

The remains of the Airship laid scattered across the forest floor. Miraculously there were survivors from the crash who began to pull themselves out of the flaming wreckage. But the survivors soon would find themselves wishing they also died in the crash. Emerging from the flaming wreckage was the frightening sight of the Grimm Hybrid. In his hand, he held the neck of a man who was both struggling for air and writhing in agony from the flames that were burning his body.

A woman and her child looked in horror as the Grimm snapped the man's neck. Its attention turned to the woman and the child; a terrifying grin formed across its mouth. The woman grabbed the child and ran when it began chuckling. Black's chuckling turned into a manic laugh; its claws lit up with Ki. His laughter continuing before giving chase.

"GAAAAAH!" Black shot straight up with wide eyes, breathing heavily with sweat dripping down his chin. It took him a moment before he regulated his breathing, closing his eyes he calmed himself.

Upon opening them again he noticed two things, his gi was torn and he was in the middle of the woods. No sign of Hazel, no sign of the two Huntsmen.

He tried standing up but then his head erupted in pain as flashes of people dying plagued his head. Unfamiliar hands taking the lives of countless people. An overwhelming nausea feeling struck him. Dropping to his hands and knees as he began vomiting black tar. His eyes widen as tar continued to pour out his mouth for several seconds before coughing up the rest. Panting Black clutched his head trying to ease the pain of his head. His eyes shifted to the tar, remembering the intense pain that befell him after the Grimm Queen spoke to him.

Salem. What did she do to him? What were those visions?

Black narrowed his eyes, whatever she did wasn't affecting him anymore. Looking down at himself he noticed something. He felt stronger but also different, he couldn't put a finger on what it was, he was feeling…lighter? He stared at his hands for a second before lowering them. His head rose and looked to his left, faint sunlight, morning was approaching. He growled and took off towards Vale.

Damn it, he missed it. Eby Art contest. Fuck.

Black flew as fast as he could while maintaining his power low enough for it to not be detected.

After some time, he arrived at Vale and was taken aback by the minor damages he could see within the kingdom. Spotting a couple of collapsed buildings and fires caused by car crashes. Upon landing, he walked down the street looking at the many people outside who were severely spooked. "What happened here…?" While walking he heard a commotion to his left. A man and woman were desperately carrying an older man from a nearby car crash. "It's okay Grandpa we'll get you help. The young man said. What the young man and woman didn't know was that they were walking by a damaged Dust tank that was creating sparks.

Black sensed the sparks ignited the Dust. Quickly acting Black appeared next to the three citizens. The explosion engulfing them all. From a distance, people watched with shock and worry.

When the smoke died down the young man was shocked to see he, his sister, and grandfather were all okay. Shielded by an invisible barrier. The grandkids raised their eyes and were surprised to see a young man, a teenager had saved them. They noticed how burnt and ruined his clothes were and immediately wanted to know if he was okay. "Go." His voice stopping them. Turning to them he looked down with a neutral expression. "Go, now." He said again.

Seeing that he was fine the brother and sister stood up with their grandfather and walked away, thanking him as they left.

Black stood there still wondering how all this happened. Was there a Grimm attack while he was gone? No, that couldn't be it. Otherwise, he would have seen Ironwoods forces patrolling the Kingdom or the Grimm sirens would have been on. Not to mention Gohan was here too. There would be no possible way they would have gotten into Kingdom while the Saiyan was here. So, this must've been something else. Perhaps Ruby and the others could fill him in, but first things first.

Walking into a nearby ally Black looked down at himself, placing a hand on his damaged Gi he used his abilities to repair his clothes. After that was done Black made his way to the Art contest.

It didn't take him long to get to the place. He noticed quite a lot of people outside the gallery all wearing the same spooked expression as the people from earlier. Walking a bit further he came to stop in front of the building or what's left standing of it. The entire building had collapsed. He didn't sense anyone underneath the rubble.

"Mr. Black!" He quickly turned around to the source of the voice. Running to him was the little wolf Faunus. A nice sense of relief washed over him. She stopped in front of him. "Mr. Black. You're here."

Black noticed the dress she wore and how dirty it was from the dust. He was glad to see that she was fine. "Eby, I'm… I'm sorry. I missed your contest."

The ex-kaioshin was surprised to see a smile on the little girl's face. With a shake of her head, she replied. "No, it's okay. I'm just glad you're okay. Ms. Ruby and I were worried about you. Was it bad where you were at too?" Black gave the girl a questioning look.

"The big Remnantquake that just happened. Was the place you were at not affected by it?" She questioned.

"Oh, y-yea, it was. I was preoccupied for a while helping some people." The lie left a bad taste in his mouth. "Do you know where Ruby is?"

"She's with the others helping some folk that were injured during the Remnantquake. Come I'll show you." The little Faunus led the older teen by the hand. When they arrived, he saw Ruby, Niko's, and the Schnee attending some adults with some injuries on their heads.

"Ms. Ruby I'm back." Eby called out.

"Hey that was fast did Jaune bring—Black!" The scythe wielder jumped to her feet and jogged towards him.

"Oh, so glad you could finally join us." Wiess said, earning herself an annoyed look from the ex-kaioshin. Pyrrha waved at him.

Ruby stopped in front of him. "You're okay. I thought something might've happened to you since you never called."

"You think something like a Remnantquake could harm me in some manner?" Black crossed his arms.

"Ah, um, no, I guess not." Ruby rubbed the back of her head and embarrassingly looked away.

"Hey, Ruby was worried sick about you. She wouldn't stop checking her scroll after the quake hit. The least you can do is show that you care or apologize for making her worry." Weiss said approaching from behind her partner.

Ruby's face turned bright red. "Ah Weiss!" She didn't know her friends had noticed her constantly checking her scroll. Ruby's red face made Eby giggle and Black to take a second to think. Taking a step forward to the scythe wielder he opened his mouth. "I'm…sorry, for making you worry about me." It was alien for him to say it but he did.

Ruby shifted her gaze away. "I…It's okay."

Weiss rolled her eyes and shoved a box of first aid into Black's chest. "Alright, since you're here you could help us with some of these people until the paramedics come back."

Black looked at the first aid then back to the girls. "Where are the others?"

"They went with Gohan to check if others in the city needed help." Ruby said making her way back to a couple she was previously helping.

Black looked down again at the first aid. Thinking back at the event's transpired last night. Remembering the flashes of people dying. Just what hell were those visions?

Over in the Grimm realm, Salem gazed out the window of her castle with a stern look. Her hands behind her back. The doors to her throne room opened with one door crashing down. Walking over the fallen door Watts noticed many of the windows were shattered and small debris from the ceiling were all over the floor. "My Queen, I came to inform you that Leonardo has given me the list of names and locations of all the Huntsmen in Mistral…" Watts words trailed off as he saw a large chunk of the throne room was gone. "Uh, if I may ask, what happened here?"

"…Chaos. Chaos is was what happened Doctor." Unsure what she meant by that Watts over to Salem, standing next to her he looked out the window. Shocking would be the appropriate word to describe the scenery. Hundreds of Grimm carcasses of all types slowly evaporating across the Grimm field pools. Many torn up in ways that would be very unpleasant to see done to something alive.

He spotted craters, scorch marks, and Grimm eating other Grimm?!

"Fascinating isn't it?" Watts's eyes turned to Salem who was smirking. "What magnificent and interesting results he presented me."

"Who?" Asked the former Atlesian scientist.

"Son Black."

At one of the destroyed Atlesian bases, a surviving soldier dragged himself across the ground. Trying his best to ignore the agonizing pain of his missing legs. He must get out of here. He must find help. He must inform General Ironwood about what happened here. About the new Grimm! The soldier continued to drag himself further until he spotted something in the smoke making its way towards. Upon focusing his eyes he saw the figure belong to a person. Help. Help was here!

"H…Help me…!" The soldier cried out. "Please…I need help…!" The figure walked closer and closer before stopping in front of him. "Help me…please…" The person said nothing. When the soldier looked up to see if the person had heard or even seen him, his eyes widened in terror. In front of him was woman, a with pale white skin and unusually sharp teeth. But the thing that stood out the most, the thing that brought absolute fear to him were those red eyes. The same glowing red eyes from the Grimm that destroyed the base, that killed all his friends. In front of him was the humanoid Grimm, Anubis.

Anubis stared at the scenery before her with a wide grin and total joy in her eyes. "Amazing." She softly spoke. Even after two hours, she can still feel it, the craze-killing intent lingering in the air. Anubis shut her eyes and took in the air around her, the scent of dozen dead soldiers filling her nostrils. She chuckled softly before bursting with laughter. "Amazing! Absolutely amazing! I had thought you were just someone made up, but that hag was right! YOU ARE REAL!" Her master, her lord, her creator. He was a crazed killer, a destroyer, everything she wishes to become!

Her thoughts were interrupted by someone's groans. Looking over her shoulder she saw a legless soldier trying to crawl away with desperation. Remembering Salem's word of keeping her existence a secret she began to wonder if that also meant keeping her master's existence a secret from the enemy. A grin formed on her lips again. "It's okay master. I'll clean up the mess." She turned to walk towards the fleeing soldier. "Then I'll come find you," She created a blade made up of black tar on her right hand, "And then we can really start having fun."
