After being defeated by Vegito and Trunks the fused Zamasu gets sucked into a rift. Moments later Black finds himself defused and back into Goku's body and in a strange new world with dark creatures, humans, and... faunas? Will Black pursue his plan for human and now faunas extinction or will the people of this planet and a certain Rose change how he views these mortals?

31. Chapter 31

Hello everyone, it's been quite a while since my last update.

I understand that I made a promise that this chapter was going to post a week and a half after the previous one. Honestly, I thought did and frankly, I'm kinda glad I didn't. Why? Well, this chapter had many errors and felt quite rushed. So I took the time to fix them and extend the chapter. It still has some errors, probably, most likely but it's better than what it previously was.

Now to tell you a bit of bad news. I haven't gotten to finish the next chapter because I was fixing this one, so It'll be a while before I post it. I don't want to set an exact date when it'll be ready, but I am hoping I can finish it by Christmas or New Years' time.

Now I think that covers everything, so why don't we get Black Roses started, right?

Two days have gone by since Black's nightmares ended. His teammates were glad to see that he had gotten better. They figured he'd discover for himself that this issue was not going to solve by simply toughing it out. That he would need to seek and accept help from someone.

So, they were relieved to find out that the reason he has gotten better was because he had got the help he needed. By none other than Ruby Rose.

During those two days Black searched for Jaune to commend him for his victory in their battle and how he didn't hesitate to take advantage of his own distraction. The blond knight was happy to hear his mentor's praises and vowed to train even harder for their next battle.

All was going well, well except for all the classwork he had to catch up on for all the days he missed. Which he wasn't at all pleased in doing but had no choice in the matter. Thankfully he did not need to tackle such a task on his own. His team offered to help him with his classwork/homework/projects. This time Black gratefully accepted the help.

With Team BAGL stuck with schoolwork and Team JNPR using their afternoon for training, Team RWBY decided to take a stroll through the Kingdom to pass the time.

"So anyone up for some arcade fun?" Yang asks.

"I'll pass." Blake said.

"I'm not into video games." Weiss bluntly says next.

"You guys are no fun." Ruby says with crossed arms.

Weiss rolled her eyes. "Well forgive me for not sharing the same interest as you."

The Scythe turns away from the Schnee with a pout. "Blake?" Ruby questions.

"I never really had time to get into video games when I was little, so I don't expect myself getting into them now." The cat Faunus explained.

Ruby pouts again. Yang chuckled and ruffled her little sister's head. "Don't worry sis, I'll go with you. We're going to game until tomorrow morning!" She shouts. Ruby's eyes lit up with excitement. The two half-sisters run to the arcade. The Schnee and Cat Faunus followed after in hopes that along the way they'll find a store or place they can enjoy their time off as well.

As they all headed in the direction of the arcade Weiss stops in her tracks. "Look at this place." She said out loud, stopping the others in their tracks as well. Walking over to the Ice Queen they looked up at what she was referring to. It was a store, a bit run down. "The Remnant Classics." Weiss read out loud.

"It's a clothes store." Blake pointed out.

"I never noticed this store before." Yang said.

"Me neither." Ruby says too.

"Let's check it out." Weiss suggested.

Ruby turned to her teammates, "Wha—but the arcade!" She whined.

The brawler patted her sister on the shoulder. "Don't worry sis. We're just gonna check out the place for a bit, then we'll head to the arcade. We got all day remember."

Again, the scythe wielder pouted with crossed arms. "Fine."

With that said the team head inside the store. Upon entering, the team we're surprised to see various amounts of dresses, skirts, blazers, shirts, jeans, shorts, shoes, and many more. Both old and new. RWBY was honestly impressed by the various choices, Weiss especially.

Weiss checked out a selection of blue dresses. "These are very beautiful." Her hands going through a long dress. The dress was a deep blue from the top and slowly faded into a white towards the bottom.

Yang checked out a cool brown blazer, Ruby some black boots, and Blake a white long sleeve coat.

"Man, how come I never heard of this place. They got some good stuff here." Yang says, wearing a pair of sunglasses.

"Good price too." Blake points out after seeing how much the white coat costs.

"I wonder who runs the store." Ruby thought out loud as she tried on a pair of fingerless gloves.

A very familiar man walked out from the back room. "Welcome to Remnant Classics. Everything is half off at moment since we are sadly closing for… good." The words of Roman Torchwick trailed off as his eyes met with Team RWBY.

No one said anything, no one moved. Just stared.

"…"

"…"

"…"

"…"

Roman was the first to break the silence. "…Do you like the dress?" he asks Weiss.

"Yes…but I was wondering if you maybe have it in a smaller size." Weiss replied.

"I'm sure I might have one for your size. Let me go to the back and grab one for you." Roman kindly said.

"Thank you," With that Roman disappeared into the back room.

For a couple of seconds nothing happened. "…He's not coming back, is he?" Blake asks out loud.

Yang responded with, "Nope."

Team RWBY breaks through the front door and searched around. "THERE!" Ruby yelled, pointing to a speeding armored Jeep.

Ruby raced after the Jeep. "Ruby, wait! We can't run as fast as you can!" Weiss shouted. Her words fell onto deaf ears. Yang imputed her coordinates into her scroll. A couple of seconds later her locker crashed next to her. Quickly taking out and equipping Ember Celica she blasts herself into the air, following after her sister.

Weiss let out a frustrated yell causing Blake to smirk. Both followed suit and called in their lockers and gather their weapons. Weiss used her Glyphs to boost Blake's and her speed. After a while, they managed to catch up to Ruby as she was jumping and sliding over cars on the roadway.

Ruby jumped over a car and tried grabbing onto the Jeep, missing by several inches. Ruby fell to the ground but quickly got back up and ran after it again.

From the air, Blake fired a couple of ice Dust rounds at the tires and Weiss her Glyphs in an attempt to slow the Jeep down. But the Jeep effortlessly shattered and plowed through each attempt.

Roman presses a button and releases spike traps which popped the tires of a couple of cars behind.

Team RWBY saw this and quickly went to work. Weiss used her Glyph to slow down two cars. Blake landed on top of one car and pulled out a woman out of her car before it crashed. Ruby used her speed to remove two pedestrians out the way of a spinning car.

As the team was occupied with the citizen's safety, Yang managed to land on top of it and began punching a hole through the roof. Her fist managed to break through the Jeep's armor after several punches. Roman growled in annoyance, flipping a switch the entire pulsed with electricity shocking Yang and causing her to fall off the roof. Luckily for her, Weiss was there to use her Glyph to catch her in time,

Collecting herself Yang fired into the air again. "That thing's got everything!"

"There's gotta be a way to stop it or at least slow it down!" Blake yelled having caught up to them along with Ruby.

A light bulb lit up for Ruby, "Hey, I might have an idea! Get him downtown!" Her team nodded and Ruby took a right turn and raced down the street. Within 2 minutes she made it downtown.

Stopping, she took out her scroll and put in her coordinates. Seconds later Ruby's locker landed in front of her. Taking Crescent Rose, she placed it on her belt. Lifting her locker over her shoulder she ran while looking at the location of her teammates.

After some running, she stopped and placed the locker down. She positioned the locker at a certain angle aimed at a street.

Looking down she monitors the map on her scroll. The blips of her teammates getting closer. Ruby waited, waited, and waited before finally…BAM! She slammed her fist on one of the locker's buttons. Ruby grabbed hold of the locker as it went flying down the street.

Ruby saw herself quickly getting closer to the blips, so she braced herself. In a matter of seconds, Ruby's locker came flying out onto a street and rammed into the side of Roman's Jeep, sending it rolling a couple of yards to the side. Ruby herself was sent flying through the air.

She managed to land with a roll and jumped out the way of the tumbling Jeep.

The Jeep stopped rolling when it crashed into a parked car. The rest of Team RWBY landed next to their leader. Weiss looked between the Jeep and the very dented locker. "You used your locker as a missile?" Weiss unbelievably questioned.

Yang smirked and gave Ruby a hard pat on the back. "Just like in the action movies we used to see! Nice one sis."

Ruby bashfully rubbed her head. "Thanks!" It was the best I could come up with in that short time."

Blake approached the totaled Jeep. "Well, it got the job done."

From the Jeep, Roman crawled out through the window. He let out a groan from the soreness he felt. He laid on the ground for a second before getting up. "Look what have you done!?" Do you have any idea how much it's going to cost to fix this!?" Roman shouted.

Ruby, Weiss, and Yang sweatdropped. "He's worried about the car?"

Blake unsheathed Gambol Shroud and lifted the blade to Roman's neck. "You won't have to worry about that, not anymore."

A bead of sweat slid from Roman's temple as he nervously raised his hands. "Hey easy, I think we can work things out. What's your price to look the other way this once?" Blake glared at him.

"How much are you offering?" Yang asked.

"Yang!" The brawler's teammates yelled. "Hey, I was only kidding." Yang defensively raised her hands in front of her.

Weiss approached Roman and used a Glyph to bind his wrists together. "Sorry Roman. But Huntresses can't be bribed."

"…I mean…" The brawler started again.

"YANG!" RWB yelled again.

"Oh fine, but I'm keeping whatever is in his wallet. It's not like he's gonna need it in jail." Weiss facepalm.

After securing Roman, and "confiscating" his wallet, Blake and Ruby went to check inside the Jeep while Yang kept an eye on Roman and Weiss called the authorities. Blake checked the Back, her eyes catching sight of some Dust. Ruby found some paperwork in the glove box as well as a gun.

"You transported Dust with this vehicle." Blake firmly stated.

"Perhaps." Roman said, earning himself another glare from the Faunus.

"How does a criminal actually manage to open a legit clothing store?" Ruby questioned, holding the paperwork in front of her.

Torchwick smirked, "Oh come on Red, you should know by now that it doesn't take much to open opportunities for yourself if you have the money."

"Dirty money." Yang commented.

"While that may be true, the money I earned from that shop is absolutely clean. Honest earned income." Torchwick stated.

"Okay…but why a clothing store?" Ruby asks.

"It's just a little side business I've always wanted to do. A hobby if you may." He explained.

Blake approached Roman and lifted him by the collar. "We're getting off-topic here! Why did the White Fang choose to work with you!? What're you planning!?"

"Come on kitty, we weren't really on any topic to begin with, and besides would I really be a professional if I spill the beans whenever someone asks." Roman replied. Blake narrowed her eyes at him.

"Let him go Blake. We all know he isn't going to say anything to us. We captured him it's a win for us and most likely a big stump to whatever the White fang is planning too." Yang said.

The cat Faunus eyed the Criminal Mastermind for a bit before letting out a sigh and releasing him. "You're right. Besides, I'm sure General Ironwood will have his experts to get you to talk." Roman nervously chuckled.

Ruby crossed her arms, "Where's the police anyway? I thought they'd be here already."

"Weiss?" Yang questioned.

"The Schnee stood staring at her scroll with a look of deep confusion. "I…can't get a signal."

A little confused by what she meant the girls also took out their scrolls. Like Weiss they too had no signal. "The hell?" Yang quietly said. "You don't suppose he might a signal jammer or something on him, do you?"

"No, we checked all his pockets." Ruby replied.

Weiss, Ruby, and Yang eyed him. "Honestly, I don't have anything like that in my possession." He says.

Blake's ears straighten up, eyes widening, she instantly turned around. Her actions surprised her teammates. "Blake, what's wrong?" Yang asked.

The cat Faunus looked left to right her in high alert, with a slight panic breathing. "There's nothing…"

Ruby and Weiss shared a confused expression. Yang approached her partner. "What do you mean there's nothing?"

Blake turned her head, a slight look of fear in her eyes. "I mean there's nothing here."

Yang and the others weren't sure what she meant by that, but when they looked around, they noticed something. No one was here. Not a single person. And with this they noticed something frightening. It was absolutely quiet. Not even the wind was present. The only thing they could hear was their own heart beating.

Then Ruby remembered something. "Back-to-back!" She ordered. Immediately her teammates formed a circle, weapons drawn.

They all scanned the area. Nothing.

"Ruby," Yang whispered, "What is it?"

"JNPR," She started, "The same thing happened to JNPR right before they were attacked." Her teammates recalled the details JNPR told them about their mission. The unbearable silence that filled the forest.

They all stayed silent and continued to eye their surroundings. Roman also stayed quiet, not liking this atmosphere one bit.

Suddenly, Ruby felt a dark sinister presence. Quickly she brought Crescent Rose around. A loud thud erupted from behind Yang and Blake turned around, their faces turning into shock.

Weiss's left side of her face felt warm and wet, slowly she turned revealing black blood splattered on her face. Her eyes widen at the sight of a claw inches away from her face.

The tip of Crescent Rose sticking out through the assailant's forearm. Ruby was left speechless, not just because her weapon pierced this person's arm but of how they looked like.

Deadly white skin with black veins, black sclera with terrifying red eyes. The clothes they wore made them look like some type of delinquent. The individual was none other than the Grimm Anubis.

Anubis seemed surprised by Ruby's attack. Her expression morphed into a smirk.

Ruby pulled Crescent Rose free from the woman's arm. Black blood spilled on the floor from the quite large stab wound. Team RWBY all jumped back from the attacker. One word came to mind as they laid eyes on their attacker. Grimm.

Anubis lifted her arm and gave the wound a lick. The wound slowly began healing itself, shocking the girls and Roman.

"Who are you!? What do you want!?" Ruby shouted.

The Grimm woman merely stared at them before letting a grin spread across her face. "I'm here to have fun."

Instantly, Anubis dashes with incredible speed, claws out she went to slash Blake. The cat Faunus managed to use her semblance in time to escape, leaping into the air. Blake fired several rounds.

Anubis lazily swiped the bullets away with her hand. She then leaned away from a right cross by Yang. Backpedaling Anubis flawlessly dodged and blocked the countless punches and kicks the brawler sent. She ducked under a fist and countered with a left cross that sent Yang flying back.

"Checkmate!" Anubis's ears picked up. Turning around she was met with a series of slashes from Blake and a mix of stabs and slashes from Weiss. During their attacks, Blake and Weiss were caught off guard when Anubis caught Gambol Shroud with her right and Myrtenaster with her teeth. Anubis grinned and elbowed Weiss in the face before raising her left leg and kneeing Blake in the gut then with the same leg kicked Weiss in the gut as well before grabbing her by the front with her left, lifting her over and slamming Weiss on top of Blake.

Lifting her hand above black energy gathered in her hand. Ruby's eyes widen in shock. "Ki!?" Before Anubis could release it, Ruby came from the side with a wide swing, Anubis jumped away from the large weapon, but as she landed, she failed to notice Yang right behind her, costing her to receive a heavy blow to the rib cage. She also received a kick to the face by Ruby before vanishing from another slash of Crescent Rose.

Both girls were surprised by this. They looked around for their attacker. Suddenly, Yang let out a gasp as her back arched. Anubis had elbowed from behind, the attack sending her flying forward before spin kicking Ruby away.

Anubis tilted her head to the side as Weiss's rapier swished past her. The Schnee halted herself and angled her grip on Mrytenaster, thrusting the rapier upwards. Anubis leaned away and quickly spun around to deflect Blake's blade, surprising her.

The Cat and Schnee both engaged in fast combat. Ruby and Yang soon join the fight.

From the side, Roman watched in awe and confusion. Awe, because of how well these girls fought together. Confusion, as to who this Grimm looking newcomer is. He wasn't going to stick around to find out though. Taking the opportunity of the fight Roman took his leave.

Weiss was sent flying from a kick to the chest. Yang crosses her arms, taking on heavy punches that were being dished out. Anubis grabbed Yang by the wrist and delivered an uppercut before grabbing her by the front jacket and throwing her over.

Yang landed with a roll and fired several explosive shotgun rounds. Anubis casually skipped side to side past each one only to be hooked on the neck by Gambol Shroud's ribbon. The Grimm woman let out a choking sound as Blake pulled her back.

"Ladybug!" Ruby yelled.

Both Ruby and Blake proceed to slash Anubis back and forth. During their final strike, Anubis jumped and twirled between Ruby and Blake's blades. As soon as her feet touched the ground, she extends her arms out and grabbed both the girls by the back of their necks. She went on to pull them to her, but a Glyph appeared underneath the girls held them in place.

Anubis then received a huge right cross stumbling her back, she backflips away from another punch of Yang's and then raised her arms to block the next couple.

"Not really liking how this fight's going." Blake comments.

"It doesn't look like it's taking any damage." Weiss added.

Seeing many of Yang's being brushed off, Ruby agrees with her teammates. "Alright, let's immobilize it and retreat. "Weiss and Blake nodded their heads.

Yang's body skidded across the floor before she pushed herself back up. Her eyes widen and ducks under the Grimm's claw and leaned back from another slash. Yang back peddling was barely managing to evade all the attacks that were thrown at her. She looked at the attacker's face, that grin still plastered on their face.

Yang raised her right arm up and blocked a strong right high kick. The brawler could've sworn she felt her feet dig into the concrete floor. She was then forced to twist her body out the way of a left claw. The attack grazing her Aura and skin. While Yang had evaded the attack it left her legs exposed to be kicked off. Yang hit the ground and saw the next attack coming. Anubis brought down her claw. "Crap!"

Suddenly, ice enveloped Anubis's arm, catching her off guard. Not a second later she felt bullets hitting her, soon after, her entire body minus her head was trapped in ice. Anubis curiously stared at the ice. Looking over her shoulder she saw the red head's sniper rifle aimed at her with a white Glyph at the end of the barrel.

ICE FLOWER

Yang let out a breather, getting up she quickly rejoined her team. "Thanks for the save."

"No problem." Ruby says.

"You think that'll hold it? Blake asks.

With little effort Anubis broke her left arm free, flashing her grin at them. "Freezer Brun!" Ruby yelled.

Weiss immediately stabbed Mrytenaster creating a wide field of ice, Yang then punched the floor with a fire shotgun round creating a wave of steam to cover the entire area. As the team ran, they could hear laughter coming from the Grimm woman. "What the hell is she and how did she get inside the Kingdom?!" Yang questions out loud.

"I don't know, but we have to tell Professor Ozpin about this." Ruby says.

"What about Roman?" Blake says next. "I didn't see him."

"The sly fox probably used the fight to make his escape again." Weiss answered. An irritated look befell the Faunus.

"Don't worry Blake, we'll catch him next time." Ruby assured.

As the girls ran, Ruby felt a gust of wind pass them. Looking behind she saw nothing. Then all of a sudden, Anubis appeared next to them, grabbing Ruby and Weiss by the necks she rammed them both through the buildings. "Ruby, Weiss!" Yang and Blake shouted as the two disappeared into the building.

They gave chase but stopped halfway when they noticed something horrific inside.

All the two girls could hear, and feel were their bodies crashing through each layer of the walls. The impact eating away their Auras levels. Anubis pulled Weiss back and threw her out of the building. The Schnee's body crashed through and bounced off the floor.

Ruby grabbed hold of the Grimm woman's arm and with her free hand, she gave a huge uppercut to her chin. Her hand released Ruby's face.

Anubis was left in shock for a second from the power behind that uppercut. This girl is stronger than the others. A grin formed on her lips again.

Ruby jumped back, landing next to Weiss who was massaging her head. "That brute of a Grimm I thought my head was going to get my head smashed in. How did it even find us?"

"I don't know." A humanoid talking Grimm who's able to utilize Ki. Is it possible that it can sense theirs too?

Both girls' attention was grabbed by the Grimm woman slowly approaching them. She stopped when she heard movement from behind. "You monster." Yang emerged from the smashed wall. "How could you." Her voice shaking with anger. Next to her Blake walked out with a glare.

Anubis tilted her head in confusion. "The reason we haven't seen anyone… All those people. You KILLED THEM!" Yang's hair lit up in flames, eyes turning bright red.

Anubis said nothing but stare at first, then the next couple of words that came from the Grimm woman's mouth sent chills down their spines. "Of course I did. I was hungry." All went quiet for a few seconds, the shock of hearing such a thing kept them from moving.

Yang was the first to get over her shock and was consumed by rage. She let out a battle cry and blasted herself to the Grimm woman. "Yang wait!" Blake cried out.

Yang brought down her fist which was easily evaded. Her fist slammed into the ground sending debris all around. Yang immediately brought her other fist up nailing Anubis on the cheek. The brawler continued her assault with the Grimm woman taking, blocking, and dodging her attacks.

Ruby, Weiss, and Blake joined in soon after.

Anubis deflected two strikes from Weiss before kicking her away, ducking under an incoming slash by Ruby. The redhead skidded for a bit before bringing Crescent Rose around. Catching the scythe by the blade Anubis raised her free hand and punched Ruby across the face. She then raised her right arm and blocked Yang's fist. She countered with a rib shot, followed by a kick to Yang's side, knocking her away.

A Glyph appeared underneath Anubis and lifted her off the ground. Weiss came from behind striking past her, she stopped herself with another Glyph and repeated the same attack from different angles.

From the ground, Blake fired Gambol Shroud, hooking the blade onto Anubis. With all her might she pulled the Grimm woman and sent her crashing into the pavement, cracks formed underneath the impact.

Blake reeled in her blade, Weiss landing next to her Faunus companion. The two quickly re-engaged when the Grimm woman flipped back up. Weiss closed the distance faster with the assistance of her Glyph.

Weiss went for a forward thrust with her rapier, but Anubis shifted her body away, letting Weiss fly past her. She reached out and grabbed by the hair and collar, earning a yelp from Weiss. She hurled the Schnee straight at Blake. The Faunus slid under her flying teammate, Blake slid until she was close enough to send an upwards slash to the Grimm woman.

Before Weiss hit the ground, she rotated her Dust cartage to Lightening. Using her Semblance, she fired a Time Dilation Glyph underneath Blake. With her movements now enhanced, Blake brought her arm for a clean upwards slash. Anubis a bit staggered by it was left open for Blake to continue her attack. Unleashing a series of slashes all across the Grimm woman's body.

Anubis was grinning like a maniac from each attack she received. In the midst of Blake's combo, Anubis threw a fast punch. With the help of the Time Dilation, Blake used her Semblance and Dust and left a shadow of herself infused with Fire Dust. The shadow clone exploded when Anubis's fist came into contact. Blake jumped over Anubis and brought her blade down the Grimm woman's back before dashing and slashing past her.

Anubis reacted again, faster than before, and stretched out her left arm. Blake's eyes widen not expecting the Grimm woman's speed to surpass the Time Dilation.

But before the stretched-out arm could grab her, Ruby flew from the right and sliced the arm off. Ruby stopped herself and dashed after Anubis.

Anubis grinned, regrowing her arm she created an energy blade and charged at her as well. Ruby twirled Crescent Rose, bringing it around she aimed for the torso. Ducking Anubis let the large blade fly over her head. Angling her arm, she brought the Ki blade up. Ruby was fast to move her Scythe in front to block it.

The clash knocked Ruby a couple of steps back. Quick to regain her footing Ruby fired to her right, propelling her to the side as Anubis came straight down with her energy blade. Missing the mark Anubis gave a wide swing of her Ki blade, the tip of the blade barely scratching Crescent Rose's handle. Anubis felt Dust bullets peppering her back. Blake raced forward from the left.

Anubis looked between the charging girls. A wide smile of her unusual sharp teeth spread across her lips. She first turned to Blake with an underhand swing of her Ki blade, knocking the Faunus back a bit after the two blades collided. She followed up by spinning back to Ruby and bringing her Ki blade back down, knocking Ruby's scythe down.

Raising her right arm she blocked two hits of Blake's, turning she thrust her energy blade. Blake was fortunate enough to twist her body out the way, letting the Grimm woman stumble past her. Anubis expected the Faunus to successfully dodge her attack. Twisting her body back she elbows Blake straight in the face. Causing the Faunus to stumble back.

In the middle of her counterattack, Anubis sensed Ruby close. Jumping with a spin she dodged a swing from Crescent Rose. In a quick motion, Ruby twirled Crescent Rose, bringing the large scythe back around. Anubis landed and raised her Ki blade in front of her, stopping it.

Anubis's cocky grin disappeared when Ruby smirked. Pulling the trigger on Crescent Rose a sniper round fired into Anubis's face and propelled Ruby back.

Landing with a slight skid the redhead readied herself. Arched back with smoke coming from the face Anubis slowly leaned forward till she was able to stare straight at Ruby.

The scythe wielder's eyes widen. At point-blank range this Grimm caught the bullet with her teeth!?

Anubis flashed a frightening grin, the bullet still between her teeth. Burn marks on her face.

Anubis stopped smiling when two concussion rounds fired past Ruby. Crossing her arms, she tanked both rounds. The small explosions blinded her field of vision for a second. Then from the smoke came Yang.

Anubis pulled her energy blade and went for a swing. At the last second, Yang ducked under it. Twisting her body a bit she went for a right uppercut, followed by a left hook. Spinning around she fired her gauntlet and embedded her right elbow into Anubis's gut and hitting her gut again with a left punch, firing a concussion round in the process.

Anubis skidded back a couple of feet. Looking back up she saw Yang coming at her again. With a short jump, Anubis raised a knee, forcing the brawler to take a defensive take. Crossing her arms Yang blocked the knee but was now being pushed back by the many punches that were being thrown at her.

Having trained under a boxing style and close combat being her field of play, evading and blocking these attacks were easier for her than it was for Weiss and Blake.

Arms closed to her face, Yang leaned side to side, blocking, ducking, and arching away from every punch and high kicks that were sent her way. In the midst of the attacks, Yang saw an opening, ducking her head under a right cross. Yang delivered her own right cross to Anubis's face. She followed it up with a heavy left hook and then a right low kick to the ribs.

Anubis's body curved a bit after being kicked. She grinned and reached out to grab Yang's leg. With her free hand, she moved in to grab the brawler's face. Yang gritted her teeth, throwing a right punch to stop her. The hit landed but Anubis wasn't the least bit affected by it as she went on to slam Yang's head into the pavement.

"GAH!" Yang felt her Aura decrease. Opening her eyes, Yang glared at the Grimm woman.

"Ha!" Anubis glanced behind seeing Ruby bringing her scythe around. A grin formed on Anubis' lips, lifting Yang up she switched her grip to the back of her head and raised her up. Ruby let out a gasp and immediately stopped herself.

Yang's eyes widen as the tip of Crescent Rose stopped mere inches away from her face. Behind Yang, Anubis let out a little laugh, "Heh," And quickly grabs Ruby by the face. Her hand covered Ruby's mouth.

Anubis lifted both sisters up, their attempt to remove her hands from their faces made her grin. With hands still on their faces, she brought both arms together and slammed their heads into one another. Even with their Aura's protecting them, both sisters still felt the enormous pain of their heads being smashed together.

Anubis lets go of them, and as they were falling back, she moved to backhand them. But her actions were stopped by Weiss lancing lightening from Mytenaster.

Anubis used her hand to block the rapier from reaching her, but the electrifying shock still got to her. Anubis jumped back with Weiss chasing after her. With the help of Glyph Weiss caught up to the Grimm woman. Anubis recreated her energy blade and engaged Weiss. Their blades clashing against one another in quick successions. Zipping from one spot to another.

With the sisters, both were still on the floor, holding their faces and groaning in pain. "Good for nothing Aura! Didn't lessen the pain at all!" Yang says, massaging her face. Ruby sat up with a groan. Also massaging her face. Blake ran up next to them and knelt down. "Are you okay?"

"Yea, we're okay." Ruby assured, reaching behind to grab Crescent Rose, but found nothing. Looking behind, she didn't see her Scythe. "Where's Crescent Rose?" She asks.

"AH!" Weiss's body bounced off the ground and landed in front of them.

"Weiss!" Yang, Ruby, and Blake shouted. Running to check on their friend, the three girls glance up at the Grimm. Ruby looked up with shock in seeing Crescent Rose in the hands of the Grimm woman.

"How did she—no, when did she…" Ruby's words trailed off, still trying to understand when the woman had taken her weapon. Anubis glanced down at the 50-caliber scythe rifle. Effortlessly twirling it in her hand. She stopped it with the curve end pointing at them. "A gun and scythe. Heh, you humans are quite the creative types aren't you." She gave it a twirl again. "Cool weapon, but still, I wouldn't choose it in a fight." Anubis held the scythe back at her side. "Because in a fight, using one's own body, is the deadliest weapon of them all."

The girls tense up, "Any ideas?" Yang quietly asks.

"We have to escape and warn Ozpin about this Grimm." Blake says.

"You want us to run? After what's she done to the people of this neighborhood!" Yang angrily says, her eyes turning red again.

"While I agree with Blake, I don't think escaping is an option for us." Weiss says, "Even with the steam giving us cover and her encased in ice, you saw how fast she caught up to us."

"Then what're we supposed to do?" Blake questions.

Ruby took a step forward. "The only thing we can do." Slipping into her now perfect battle stance (same stance Black takes). "We fight." Her teammates looked between one another before giving a firm nod and taking their fighting stances as well.

Anubis raised a brow, an excited smile spread across her lips.

For a moment, neither side moved. A stare down to see who would make the first move.

All of a sudden, Ruby dashes forward. Anubis brings Crescent Rose around and throws it at her. Ruby quickly twisted her body out the way, the scythe swish past her. Embedding itself into one of the buildings behind her.

Ruby regained her footing and with great speed, she skipped forward and appeared right in front of Anubis with her fist pulled back. Raising her palm Anubis blocked the blow. The force behind it creates strong gusts of wind. Ruby gritted her teeth.

Anubis grinned and proceeded to block a flurry of punches thrown at her before slipping past Ruby's attacks and kicking her to the side into a building. Immediately afterward Yang came in with a right haymaker, Anubis leaned out the way, twisting her body to Yang, raising her right knee she hit Yang up in the chin before spinning around and kicking to the side.

Pushing herself out of the small rubble Ruby gasps as her sister came crashing straight into her.

Weiss and Blake both engage the Grimm woman next.

Using her forearm and energy blade Anubis blocked the strikes and slashes that were sent her way, taking on the ones she felt like taking.

Blake jumps over Anubis, raining down bullets from her pistol. Landing, Blake quickly used her Semblance to leave a shadow clone, pushing herself back from the energy blade Anubis swung around. Blake dashed straight back. Her blade clashing with Anubis.

Raising her free hand she went to claw at Blake. The Faunus used her Semblance again to push herself to her left, but this time Anubis was able to predict it and brought her energy blade around. Blake saw the blade coming and angled Gambol Shroud to protect her right side.

The strength behind the swing sent her flying. Immediately, Anubis felt three slashes stroke her back. Skating past her was Weiss. Twisting around the Schnee changed the chambers of her revolver to gravity Dust, with a flick of her wrist she summons a Glyph under Anubis lifting her in the air. Weiss was quick to move in and strike her several times to her chest before slashing her side and back.

Weiss came around Anubis to strike her again. but the Grimm woman vanished from sight before she could land her hit. Weiss rid her shock and searched her surroundings. Her eyes widen when she felt arms wrap around from behind.

Anubis lifted Weiss up for a nasty German suplex. Weiss felt her Aura decrease drastically. Getting up, Anubis lifted the Schnee up with a kick then punched her straight in the gut earning a gasp from Weiss. She continued to drive her fists into the Schnee's stomach before she was halted by Ruby jumping over her and grabbing her right wrist, pulling Anubis away from Weiss, letting her body drop to the floor.

Anubis stumbled towards Ruby who sent a punch across her face. The redhead then gave a strong blow to Anubis's gut, followed by a spinning back kick to the chest.

Anubis skidded back a couple of yards, her eyes seeing Ruby nearing for another attack. Raising her hand, she readies to block her attacks, but then from behind Ruby came two explosive rounds. Anubis deflected one shot and blocked the other with her palm. The explosions caused smoke to envelop her surroundings.

Squinting her eyes, she searched for the redhead. She picked up an energy closing in front of her. All this smoke and she still intends to come from the front? Very well. Readying herself she expected a full-on assault, but to her surprise, it wasn't Ruby that emerged from the smoke but Yang!

The brawler pulled her right arm back for a right hook. Anubis raised her left arm to block it only to then receive a dropkick from behind, by Ruby Rose.

The Grimm woman stumbles forward into the brawler's fist. Anubis's head snapped to the side. Her body was sent flying till she flipped herself back to her feet. Immediately, the two sisters were already on her. Throwing punches and kicks in almost perfect sync was proving to be a little difficult for Anubis to defend against.

Anubis blocked a high kick with her left forearm, she blocked a left straight with her right palm, tilting her head out the way of another punch and rose her right arm to block another.

This continues until Ruby manages to land a clean blow to Anubis's face, Yang followed with a gut punch and a left hook. Next Ruby elbowed Anubis straight in the face, staggering her.

The Grimm woman quickly regained her balance just to be met with Glyph projectiles. She managed to evade three of them but the fourth hit her right wrist. A small Glyph formed around her wrist and pulled her back.

Ruby appeared in front of her and began punching her gut and face. With only one free arm Anubis was unable to completely defend herself. With her right leg, she kicks Ruby away before turning around and embedding her feet into the ground.

Her feet split the concrete floor as the Glyph continued to pull on her wrist. Looking around she spotted Weiss not far, concentrating on her Semblance. "She's trying real hard to keep me immobile."

Blake came from the side, bringing her blade down she slashes at the Grimm. Anubis easily blocked the blade and several other slashes that came after. Four concussion rounds hit her back, looking back Anubis was met with a strong left hook from Yang followed by a right knee to her chin and a right straight punch, hitting her square in the face.

Blake slashes past Anubis's shoulder, Ruby then dropkicks her in the chest knocking her back. Anubis rolled to her feet and was met with another blow to the face from the brawler. The Glyph around her wrist lifted her up. Blake came trailing down with a series of slashes. The Glyph pulled her straight back down. Ruby and Yang came from behind, together they punched Anubis in the back with enough force creating a small shockwave.

Anubis let out a gasp, her body sent flying towards Blake who backflipped and heel kicked her chin.

In the air, Anubis grinned madly. This was fun. THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!

Ruby appeared above her with her hands clasped above her head. She sledgehammers her straight into the pavement, creating a small crater. Yang along with Blake ran straight at the downed Grimm.

Just as they were about to reach her Anubis waved her arm around sending dark Ki everywhere. The attack knocked Ruby, Yang, and Blake back.

Weiss lets out a grunt as her feet skid back. Using her arms to shield her face the Schnee used her Glyphs to catch her teammates before they hit the ground. Anubis stood up, grabbing the Glyph around her wrist she effortlessly shattered the bond. Smirking, Anubis flew straight at Weiss, fist pulled back.

The Schnee saw her coming. She summons a Glyph in front of her to block her punch. But the strength behind the fist easily smashing through the Glyph and nails Weiss across the face, taking a chunk out of her Aura. The Schnee felt her brain rattle a bit, vision blurring for a second. A second punch hit her face, snapping her neck the other way. The Grimm woman's hands grabbed onto Weiss's head and brought it down to her rising knee. The strike shattering the rest of Weiss's Aura, letting her take the full blow of the attack.

Anubis moved in to kick Weiss's gut next, but Ruby appeared in front of her and blocked it with her arms. The scythe wielder skidded back from the blow.

Anubis sensed Yang closing, twisting her body she evaded the coming fist, she leaned away from another fist that was thrown at her before disappearing out the way of Blake's blade. The Cat Faunus growled in frustration as she spun around to engage the Grimm with Yang.

"Weiss!" Ruby ran up to her friend. With the Schnee sitting up, Ruby lets out a gasp as she sees the blood spilling down Weiss's arm and onto her dress. "Oh no, Weiss, your nose."

The Schnee grunted, tears at the corner of her eyes as she held up her bleeding nose. "I-I think it's broken."

Ruby's shocked expression turned into one of anger, glancing behind she glared at the Grimm woman fighting her sister and teammate. Her eyes switched back to Weiss, "Stay here."

"Absolutely not. I am not going to sit back and watch you three fight that…thing alone!" Weiss argued.

"But Weiss your Aura-." Ruby's words were cut short by Weiss. "I don't care! I'm still going to fight." The serious look in her eyes pauses Ruby.

"…Alright, use your Glyph to support us from a distance then." Weiss nodded to Ruby's words.

In a different part of the neighborhood, Roman sat by a wall with a nervous smile. Just his luck. He was hoping to close his shop today for good, only to have red and her team stumble upon his store and chase him around the city. Only to then have some type of Grimm appear out of nowhere! And start attacking the girls!

Granted, he was thankful he was no longer heading to a cellblock, but still… that sadistic grin and chilling look in the Grimm's eyes. It brought a whole new level of fear to him that Cinder or anyone could never bring upon him.

And what made the Grimm terrifying was the fact it was brushing off all their attacks like it was nothing. Including that blonde's punches. She literally destroyed the Paladin mech he stole with one punch. Roman could only think of two people in the world that could take hits like those and walk off unscratched.

His eyes move to ally to his left. Lifting his hand, he stretches it out until it was stopped by something invisible. A nervous smile on his face. Just what the hell did he get himself into now.

Blake collies with Yang after being thrown. Ruby ran up and threw a right punch. Anubis sidesteps away, Ruby twisted her body for a back kick. The Grimm woman blocks it with her arms. After skidding back Anubis noticed Glyph projectiles heading her way. "Nice try. But that won't work on me again." With a wave of her hand, she destroys the projectiles. Anubis smirks at the angry Schnee.

Anubis tilted her head to the left, a fist skim past her cheek, surprising Ruby. With the grin still plastered on her face, Anubis raised her right fist up behind and hit Ruby square in the face. Ruby stumbled back.

Anubis was quick to turn around and punch Ruby across the face, she punched the redhead again and followed it up with another. Ruby reacted fast enough to block the third punch with her forearm and counter with her own.

Anubis threw a straight right, but Ruby backed away in time. She closed the distance and punched the Grimm in the gut. Anubis grabbed Ruby's arm keeping her from moving away, she punched Rubes with a right before clasping her hands together and slamming them into the side of her Ruby's face, sending her flying to the side.

Ruby caught herself with her hands, flipping to her feet she dashed straight back to the Grimm woman. Anubis raised her hand and blocked each punch with her palm while retreating back. She sensed Yang approaching, looking back while blocking Ruby's attacks she grinned at the brawler. Anubis ducked under Ruby's fist she spun around and rammed her left elbow into Ruby's gut. Anubis with her left hand-gathered energy and fired a Ki wave.

Yang blinks in surprise from the approaching attack. She barely had time to fire her gauntlets and propel herself to the right. The Ki wave destroyed a building behind. Yang shocked by the display was left unable to react in time when Anubis appeared right in front, punching her across the face. Chasing after her flying body Anubis punched Yang to the ground followed by a kick to the back.

Anubis disappears and reappears behind Yang, Ki blade out she moved to stab the blond girl. At the last second, Blake moved jumped in between them, and stopped the blade with the flat side of her katana. Anubis smirks, lifting her leg up she kicks Blake's hand and sword away and turned for a spinning back kick to Blake's mid-section.

Blake and Yang crashed a good distance away. Anubis went to chase after them but slipped and fell when ice formed underneath her. Glancing to her left she saw Weiss had embedded her rapier in the concrete.

Weiss twisted Myrtenaster, shards of ice sprouted from the ice-covered floor. Anubis fires a Ki wave at the ground lifting her up into the air and from her hands, she fired several Ki blasts at Weiss.

The Schnee acted quick, with the help of her Glyph she retreated jumping left and right away from each incoming Ki blast. Summoning a Glyph in front of her Weiss fires several Glyph projectiles to counter the Ki blasts. Small explosions erupted in the air.

Suddenly Anubis appears next to Weiss with a punch aimed at her rib cage. Ruby appears just in the nick of time and plants her foot onto Anubis's back.

Anubis's body skid across the floor before rolling onto her feet. Turning around she threw a right punch to the chasing scythe wielder. Ruby evaded the attack by tilting her head to the left. The fist skimmed her face a bit. Ruby countered with a right punch.

Anubis leaned back in time, letting Ruby's fist miss her by an inch. She fell back onto her hands and wrapped her legs around Ruby's arm, catching the redhead off guard. With her legs, Anubis flipped Ruby into the air.

Anubis pushed herself back to her feet and kicked off the ground.

Ruby landed with little difficulty but staggered back when Anubis appeared in front of her and slammed the back of her head to her nose. Lowering herself Anubis spun and punched Ruby in her left side. She then drove her right fist into Ruby's gut. The Grimm woman repeatedly punched Ruby in the gut, earning painful cries from her.

Ruby grits her teeth, bringing both hands up she caught Anubis's fists. Lifting her knee up she hit Anubis under the chin before raising her other leg and kicking her across the face.

Anubis flew across the air. With one hand she fired a Ki blast back at the Scythe wielder. Ruby's eyes widen. The blast hitting her directly in the chest causing an explosive to erupt. Ruby's body came flying out the smoke before crashing onto the pavement. Twitching in pain from the explosion.

"Ruby!" Yang shouted, her eyes turning bright red when she looked back at Anubis fighting Blake.

Blake was being pushed back as she blocked the various swings of Anubis's energy blade. She worried that Gambol Shroud would shatter at any point from the heavy swings. Suddenly Yang came out of nowhere and with a flame-covered fist she punched the left side of Anubis's face. The Grimm woman's feet skid back. When she looked up she was met with a flurry of punches.

Yang's barrage pushed the Grimm woman back. Anubis head snapping left, right, up, and down. Her body receiving just as much abuse as her face.

Weiss and Blake stared in shock at their friend's ferocity. Getting up Ruby was also shocked at how brutal her sister was being.

The brawler never letting up continued to punch the Grimm, every hit she fired a shotgun round, pushing her till her back touched the wall of a building. Yang screaming in rage made sure that each punch was powered by her Semblance.

The wall behind began to crack and crumble from the impacts. Anubis shut eyes slowly opened.

Wow, these really are some impressive punches. She's gotta hand it to this human. She knows how to excite a girl. With her face covered by her hair, Anubis smirks and catches both hands by the wrists. Surprised Yang immediately shifted back to anger.

Anubis with little effort began to move Yang's arms apart push her back. Yang gritted her teeth trying her hardest to resist, wincing when she felt Anubis's fingers begin to dig into Ember Celica.

Raising her head Anubis's face shocked Yang. Before her, a perfect Grimm version of Yang's self.

Ruby, Weiss, and Blake now standing next to each other shared the same expression as their blond teammate.

"What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost." Anubis taunted with a grin. Raising her leg drove her foot into Yang's gut.

Yang hit the ground and skidded on her back, stopping in front of her teammates. "Yang!" Her friends came to her side.

"I'm fine." The brawler assures, looking back to the Grimm she was sickened how it wore her face.

Anubis flashed an arrogant grin with her face melting back to her own. Team RWBY stood back up and ready themselves. Anubis patted the dust off her leather jacket, then, within a blink of an eye, she closed the distance and planted her foot into Blake's gut sending her flying. Anubis twisted her body to face them and threw a Ki orb to the ground, creating an explosion that blew the three girls away.

From the dust cloud, three separate Ki blasts were fired. Yang twisted her body mid-air away from the blast, Weiss her Glyph to jump up, and Ruby landed with a skid before rolling out the way. When the scythe wielder recovered, she was met with a hand wrapped around her neck. Letting out a choking sound Ruby was lifted up and slammed down several times before Anubis turned and punched her in the direction of her sister.

Yang saw Ruby coming towards her, getting ready to run and catch her, Yang was halted by Anubis appearing in front of her. The brawler drew her fist back and aimed at her face. Anubis ducked under the fist and kneed Yang in the gut.

Yang expresses the pain with wide eyes and a gaping mouth. Anubis spins around back and kicks the brawler to the ground. Yang pushed herself up but was immediately slammed back down face first when Anubis grabbed her by the head. The Grimm woman ran forward, dragging Yang face across the pavement. Rapidly decreasing Yang's Aura levels.

Ruby's body flew above them, Anubis quickly released Yang's head then spun around to grab Ruby's ankle, pulling her over and slamming her body on top of Yang's.

"DAH!" Ruby screamed in pain while Yang with tightly shut eyes and gritted teeth suppressed her own screams.

Anubis waves her left arm to the left, launching black tar that came from a portal she created straight into them. Both girls were sent crashing into a building.

"Heh," Anubis spun around and blocks Blake's blade from above. Parrying the blade away Anubis brought her Ki blade around, halting Weiss and forcing her to block it with her rapier.

Disappearing out of sight Anubis reappears behind Weiss kicks her in the back. The Schnee hitting the pavement face first. The Grimm woman lifted her arm up, creating an orb of Ki, she fires several dozen down at the Schnee. Blake was quick to move, grabbing Weiss and pulling her out of danger. The small explosion that erupted behind her caused Blake to lose her footing and fall.

Anubis smirks, dashing forward she dives down for a dropkick. Blake uses her Semblance to escape to her right. Anubis missed but swiftly brought her leg around kicking Blake's chest. The Faunus staggers further back after receiving several more kicks. Using her Semblance, she jumps out the way of one kick, only to be then grabbed by the ankle. Blake looks down in surprise, Anubis smirks. "That ability is useless against me now."

Pulling her over Blake's body slams hard onto the road. Spiderweb cracks forming underneath her. Blake's Aura flickering from the impact.

Yang and Ruby ran to help their friend. Anubis sensed them and waved her Ki blade around sending dozens of shards of Ki at them. The two sisters abruptly stop and jump out the way. The shards embedded themselves into the ground and building behind them.

"Hm." Anubis curiously smiles. From the corner of her eye, she spots the Schnee. Using the same movement, she sent dozens of shards straight at the Schnee. Weiss uses her Glyphs to help her move out the way

Anubis swings her around arm sending more shards at the girls. Each one dealing the shard their own way. Yang while running fired a couple of shotgun rounds destroying some of the incoming shards. Weiss her Glyph to block a couple before quickly moving out the way. Ruby used her speed and acrobatics to dodge them.

Anubis laughed at how they ran away. Her ears then picked up groaning coming from behind her. Still dazed by the hard slam, Blake weakly pushes herself up.

Anubis grins, bringing her arm around she sent shards her way as well. Weiss saw this and uses a combination of Gravity Dust and her Glyph to pull Blake out the way.

But she wasn't fast enough.

Three shards managed to pierce the Faunus Aura and into her leg, earning a scream from Blake. Her cries increased when more shards pierced her body.

"Blake!" Ruby cries out. Yang and Weiss moving fast as they could to stop the Grimm.

Anubis saw them coming and flashed them a frightening grin. Moving her Ki blade in several motions she ended it with a pose.

!BOOM!

An explosion erupted where Blake stood, engulfing her body. Ruby, Weiss, and Yang stared in absolute shock and horror. Their bodies, unable to move.

When the smoke began to clear up, Blake's body came into view. Standing upright with her arms dangling at her sides and head faced slightly up.

Yang took a step forward but stopped when she noticed Blake's lifeless eyes. "Blake...?" Yang shakenly calls out, her body trembling. Tears stream down Weiss's face as she covers her mouth with her hand.

Whatever kept Blake's body standing vanished with her body collapsing.

Anubis shoulders slump down, "Aw, she broke after one little explosion? Whelp, that sucks." She shrugs, "Shall we continue?" Anubis says, turning to the remaining three girls.

Ruby's eyes never left Blake. Her body began to tremble, a fire she hasn't felt in a long-time reemerging from within. Ruby's fists clenched tightly, her teeth gritting with such force one might think they'd shatter at any moment. The feeling only grew after hearing Anubis's words. Ruby's gaze moved to the Grimm woman. If looks could kill, then Ruby's glare would have killed Anubis ten times over.

The Grimm woman was quite shocked by the amount of anger behind that glare.

With a rageful cry, Ruby dashed forward with incredible speed. Anubis smirks and prepares to block her attack. Just then her senses pick up the danger to her left.

Leaning back, a fire-covered rapier lances right past her. Anubis's eyes meet with Weiss's tearful yet angry eyes. As the Grimm woman jumped back to gain some distance, a fist makes contact with her back. Anubis grits her teeth and peers over her shoulder. It was Yang, her red eyes burning with anger.

After Yang's attack, she felt a strong punch connect with her face, snapping her head to the right. From the corner of her eye, she saw Ruby. The Scythe wielder moved her other fist and delivered another shocking blow, snapping Anubis head the other way. Yang reaches up and grabs Anubis the hair before pulling her over. Anubis's back hits the pavement hard, she quickly rolled and pushes herself back to her feet, only to be stabbed by several shards of ice underneath her. Grimm blood splattered from where the shards exited her back. She didn't have time to recover as she was punched across the face with a shotgun round firing in her face.

Anubis was sent flying back with shards of ice still embedded in her body.

She crashed back first. Flipping to her feet she was forced to immediately duck under a right fist from Ruby. She quickly rose her left arm and blocked a spinning back kick. Anubis next lifted her knee stopping Yang's left punch from reaching her.

Thinking she had blocked those attacks successfully Anubis was surprised to feel a hot blade cut her back. She unconsciously arched her back away from where the blade cut her.

Yang followed Weiss's attack with a right cross. Ruby spun around and punched Anubis straight to the ground. The Grimm woman's body bounced off the floor with her front exposed to Weiss, the Schnee angling her wrist stabs Myrtenaster into the Grimm woman's stomach, fire and lightening Dust coursed into Anubis's body. Ruby and Yang spun around till they were right in front of her, both sisters delivered a hard punch to Anubis's gut.

Anubis's body skipped across the ground three times before she pushed off with her hands to her feet. Grimm blood drips from her mouth, the shards of ice still through her. A sick smile formed across her lips. "Ah, what a fight. WHAT A FIGHT!" She shouts in excitement. Flexing her abdomen and chest the shards of ice shatter, leaving large holes that quickly regenerated in seconds.

Ruby comes in with a dive kick, Anubis blocks it with her forearms before pushing her away. She spins around for a back kick directed to the approaching brawler. Yang ducks to her left and counters with a left hook. Anubis lifts her right hand, blocking the punch with her palm. Anubis then pulls Yang over and flings her at the redhead.

Ruby jumps and flips over her sister, bringing her hands together she brought it down for a sledgehammer. Hitting her on top of the head Anubis hunched over but immediately rose with a right punch. Ruby twisted her body out the way and counters with a left cross. Anubis stops it with her left palm before following up with her own counter of a right knee. Ruby raises her right knee to counter it.

Ruby and Anubis continued to block, dodge, and counter each other's attacks at a speed that in normal eyes would seem inhuman. While Ruby managed to block the attacks they still hurt and damaged her Aura due to how heavy they were.

Ruby blocks a low and high to her right side before jumping back from a swipe to her legs. Anubis rises up with a couple of spinning kicks forcing Ruby to backpedal away. Within her kick combo Anubis sneaked in a punch nailing Ruby across the face. She moved in to follow it with a body shot but felt herself slow down. A black Glyph appeared underneath her.

She then felt a strong punch hit her left side. Yang had jumped in. Ruby immediately regained her footing, drawing her left fist back she punches Anubis in the face. Yang follows up with a right cross then a left hook to the body. Next Ruby knees the Grimm up the chin. Yang lands two body shots and a low kick to the leg. Ruby elbows Anubis on the temple before spinning back for a clean kick to the chest.

The sisters' teamwork pushing the Grimm woman back yet again. Suddenly, Anubis vanishes from sight. Their eyes widen in a mix of shock and pain as Anubis back elbows them in the back of their skulls.

Stumbling forward they both turned around. "GAH!" Ruby's body hunches forward from a powerful low straight punch to her gut, shattering her Aura. Her eyes widen in pain. Anubis follows it up with a right uppercut before twisting around, kicking Ruby back, and hurling a black orb at Yang.

Crossing her arms, the brawler takes on the attack. The orb explodes upon impact creating a large dust cloud around the blond. Yang feels another large decrease in her Aura levels.

From within the smoke, Anubis appears in front of her and grabs both wrists. Pulling them apart she raises her knee to Yang's chin. The brawler staggers back and was soon hit across the face by a strong left punch, then a right body shot followed by a left low kick to the leg.

The last attack caused her to lose her balance. Anubis seized the opportunity and wrapped an arm around her neck. Lifting her over she slams the boxer onto the ground. Yang gasps as feels the air leave her body for a second.

Above, Anubis draws back her fist to her but quickly crossed her arms as Weiss skates past her delivering serval slashes. Anubis turned to the Schnee only to stumble forward due to Weiss using a gravity Glyph to pull the Grimm towards her.

Weiss dashes at the Grimm woman. Anubis creates a Ki blade on her right hand and thrusts it at her. Weiss spins past the energy blade and slashes Anubis twice on the back. Anubis turns to bring her energy blade around back. Weiss jumps over it with a twirl and whips her rapier across Anubis face. Landing, Weiss was quick to turn and strike the Grimm twice before spinning around for slashes to the chest.

Anubis skidded back a bit. Drawing her left arm back she extends it and grabs Weiss by the throat. Pulling the Schnee towards her. Quickly, Weiss rotates her Dust cartages to Fire one and slices the arm off. She ducks with a roll from a swing of the Ki blade and stops behind Anubis, turns, and thrusts it up at her.

SSSRRK!

Weiss's eyes widen in shock. Her rapier. Had pierced through the Grimm woman's throat.

Anubis held a look of surprise as she stared down at Weiss. The Grimm blood slid down Myrtenaster's blade. Anubis's expression changed to a grin. Weiss's shock vanished when Anubis suddenly grabbed her wrist, only to return with horror when Anubis pulled Myrtenaster deeper into her throat. The Grimm blood trickled down to Weiss's hand. The Schnee couldn't believe what she was witnessing. Does this Grimm not feel anything?!

Stopping at the hilt the entire blade was now through her neck. Blood drips down Anubis grinning mouth. The whole scene was absolutely horrifying. Fear kept Weiss in place. They were so close that Weiss could feel the Grimm's breathe on her face. It smelled like death. Weiss felt her body shiver. "What's wrong?" Anubis starts, "Isn't this what you wanted?" Her voice drowned from the blood flooding her throat.

Yang ran as fast as she could, "Weiss, get away from her!" She shouts. Black tar blasted from the ground. Yang managed to cross her arms in time but was still sent flying before crashing onto her back.

Anubis's grin widens, drawing her fist back she drives it up into Weiss's gut. The blow was so powerful that it lifted Weiss's body up and almost seemed like her fist was visible from the Schnee's back for a second.

Weiss gasps, her eyes widening in absolute pain. Dropping to the floor, she vomits, holding her stomach she falls on her side. It felt like her whole body was just shattered. Anubis looks down at the quivering Schnee. "Really? Done after one punch? I only put a third of my power into that." Sighing Anubis scratches her head. "Gods, you humans are really weak once you lose your Aura. Oh well." Aiming her hand down, she prepares a Ki blast.

But before she could release it, she sensed something coming. Bringing her hand around back Anubis deflects a Ki orb. Her surprise from seeing a Ki being used against her left Anubis open.

Ruby appeared in front of her, with her right fist she punches Anubis across the face. The force behind created a shockwave. Anubis was left completely dazed by it. Ruby followed up her initial attack with a powerful kick. Sending the Grimm woman flying back.

Anubis landed on her back with a skid. Flipping back to her feet Anubis immediately ducks under a left punch. She counters with a right cross. Ruby was quick to twist her body and push the arm away with her right hand. Spinning around she aims a kick to the Grimm woman's head. Anubis drops back letting the leg fly over her. Catching herself with her hands she pushes off the ground and drives both feet into Ruby's gut.

While Ruby was knocked back, she still managed to grab onto Anubis's ankle. Pulling her along with her, she lifts the Grimm over, turns, and slams the woman down, face first.

From above, Yang came straight down with her fist drawn back. Anubis kicks away Ruby's hand and flips away. Yang's fist made contact with the pavement instead, creating a decent size crater.

Anubis turns to face the two sisters. A smile plastered on her face. "Well, well, looks like someone has been hiding some of their power." Her words were directed to Ruby.

Sliver eyes glare at the Grimm woman. Fists clenched tightly. Yang stood next to her sister with burning red eyes, her hair glowing with flames. "You're going to pay for what you did to our friends." Yang says.

"Oh, is that so? Then, by all means, make me pay."

Yang and Ruby both rush at the Grimm. Anubis fires a Ki blast at them. Both sisters jump to the side and run at her from opposite sides. Yang fires Ember Celica, propelling her towards Anubis, while Ruby uses her speed to close the distance.

Lifting her arms up, Anubis catches Yang's fist in her right hand and blocks Ruby's kick with her left forearm. Both sisters push away before jumping back at her.

Anubis grins as she blocks and dodges their attacks. These two are definitely something else. Their attacks were fast and strong, especially the one with silver eyes.

Hm… Sliver eyes…

Something about those eyes irked Anubis. She wasn't sure what it was but cared little for it right now. Because all she cared about now was the fight before her. And how far she can take it before they break.

Anubis laughs out loud, "Come on, you two can do better!" At the end of her sentence, she punches Yang across the face. Spinning around she aims to elbow Ruby, the redhead was quick enough to catch it before grabbing hold of Anubis's arm, lifting her over, and slamming her to the ground.

The Grimm woman rolls back up only to be kicked in the face by Ruby then punched in the gut by Yang. Anubis brushes off the attack and punches Yang with her right fist. Ruby moves in to punch Anubis with her left fist, but again the Grimm woman brushes it off and kicks Ruby in the ribs.

Ruby grabs hold of Anubis's leg and punches her in the face. Yang follows up with a left cross and right uppercut. After being hit, Anubis right crosses Yang's face then left body shots the Scythe wielder. Ruby flinches in pain, she was then sent flying up from a right uppercut.

Anubis then moves for a spinning sledgehammer, knocking Yang down. Ruby jumps back in, driving her fist into Anubis's side. Anubis brings her left fist down. Ruby evades back, missing her mark Anubis pursues the redhead. She lands a strong blow to Ruby's gut, flying back Anubis chases and repeatedly punches the redhead, Ruby retaliates with punches of her own.

The two exchange blows for a second up until Anubis elbows Ruby to the ground. From the floor, Ruby spins for a high kick. Anubis blocks it with her forearm, then reaches over to grab her leg, bringing her close she aims to drive her fist into the Scythe wielder's face. But before she could, a clean roundhouse kick from Yang landed hit the side of her face.

Ruby felt the grip around her leg loosen, using the momentum of being pulled she leaned forwards with her arms above and sledgehammers Anubis on top of the head. Yang moved in next and gave a huge gut punch. The blow sent Anubis flying back.

Ruby chased after, drawing her right fist back she throws it at her. Anubis sees it and twists her body out the way. She then grabs Ruby's face and extends her arm out, ramming her into a building. Then moves her arm to drag Ruby's body through several buildings.

Yang comes running from behind. Sensing her Anubis brings her other arm around and fires a Ki wave. Yang abruptly stops, the Ki blast hitting her dead center.

The brawler grits her teeth, her feet digging into the ground as the blast pushes her back. She felt her Aura completely give out, leaving her to feel the full extent of the attack. With a battle cry, Yang's body flares up, right fist drew back she punches the Ki blast causing it to crash down and explode.

Yang's battle sense tingled, instantly she went for a left uppercut. Her fist makes contact with Anubis's chin, while the Grimm's right fist hits Yang square in the face. Both women stumble back before re-engaging again. Their fists nailing each other in the face again, again, and again. Blood splatter in the air each time their fists landed.

Out of the two, Yang was the one receiving the most damage. Due to being slower and weaker than the Grimm woman.

Anubis slips by one of Yang's punches and lands a strong kick to the ribs. The brawler's face writhes in pain as she was sent flying to the side. Anubis chases after. Throwing fast punches and kicks. Yang helplessly tried to protect herself with her arms. Her back hits a wall, from there Anubis continues her relentless abuse. Yang's body ached from each blow that landed. She began to lose feeling in her arms and legs. If she were to fall…

Just then Anubis's head smashed into the wall next to her. Surprised, Yang lifts her gaze to see Ruby had been the one that stopped the Grimm's attacks. Her clothes were in tatters. Some blood could be seen dripping from her head.

Ruby pulled her foot back and grabbed Anubis by the hair and throws her back. Anubis's back hits the pavement before she flips back to her feet. Her head snaps to the left from a powerful punch by Ruby. Drawing her right fist down to her side she stomachs punches Anubis, then moved on to gather Ki in her left hand and drives it into Anubis's chest, blasting her straight into a parked car.

The car flips a couple of times before stopping.

Ruby steadies her breathing. Yang walks up next to her sister, holding her injured left side. Some bruises were becoming visible on Yang's face. "Are you okay?" Ruby asks.

"I-I'm fine… just needed to get away from those attacks of hers." She says, wiping the blood from her lip. Ruby turns back to Anubis who pulled herself from the car.

With a half grin she says, "So I wasn't imaging it. You really can use Ki."

"Ki?" Yang questions.

Ruby glances back, "I don't know what she's talking about." She quickly replies while mentally scolding herself for using Ki out in public. But this a dangerous fight, so it should be fine, right?

"You should honestly use it more. It might help turn the tide of our battle. That's unless you want to end up like your friends." She says, eyes glancing at their fallen teammates.

Anger sparked within the sisters again. Their expressions cause Anubis to smirk. With a battle cry, they charged at each other. A shockwave erupted from their clash before they exchange in a flurry of punches and kicks.

Weiss still unable to get up was able to hear and feel the battle taking place around her. Their screams and cries, the sound of explosions, the sound of buildings collapsing, vibrations of the ground being smashed in. All those sounds made her want to see what was going on. So by forcing her head to move Weiss manages to look up.

She spots the three fighting with incredible speed and ferocity. She's seen Yang fight before so she knows how ferocious she can be in a fight. But Ruby, she's never seen her partner fight with such anger and violence before. It was scary witnessing it.

Anubis skidded back, firing several Ki blasts out front. Yang fires dozens of shotgun rounds, countering the Ki blasts. Ruby ran through the many explosions in front of her. Jumping out from the smoke she brings her fist down. Anubis jumps to the side. Missing, Ruby turns to chase after Anubis.

Anubis fires a Ki wave from her hand. Running towards it Ruby drops down, sliding under the entire attack. Reaching to where Anubis was, she pushes off the ground with her hands and directs one foot up. Anubis curves her body out the way, swinging her leg she kicks Ruby's chest and face. Her body skipped across the pavement.

Yang closed in from the left. Anubis turned her body and threw a fast punch. Yang leaned her body to the side, letting the fist fly past her. Closing in with right uppercut and a left straight, followed by three body shots and knee to the chest. She throws another left straight but Anubis catches and counters with a right punch. Moving in with a couple of shots to the body and face. Yang stumbles back with each landed blow.

Yang manages to duck under one swing and push Anubis away, gaining some distance from her. Anubis turns and extends her right arm. The brawler twists her body out the way. Yang lets out a painful cry as a knee was driven into her injured side. In her left-hand Anubis gathers Ki and fires it into Yang's chest.

Yang screams as her body was sent crashing into a car.

Anubis smirks, her ears catching the sound of moving feet. Anubis brings her arm around for a backhand, but misses, Ruby slid underneath her arm and grabs her ankle. Pulling her leg up she causes Anubis to lose her balance.

Stumbling forward Anubis quickly regains her balance and turns around only to meet with a fist to the face. Ruby follows up with several punches and kicks, "RAAAGH!" She screams, not letting Anubis recover at all.

Ruby drove her fist deep into Anubis's gut causing her to cough up saliva. Anubis's expression turned into a grin as she next uppercuts Ruby in the gut. The red head's eyes widen in pain and shock. Gritting her teeth Ruby returns with a left kick to the chin. Anubis retaliates with a right punch to the face. Ruby responds with a high kick to the head. Anubis with a left punch. Ruby with an elbow to the chest.

The wind began to pick up as their moves became faster and faster. The ground underneath quaked from the power of each blow. Before finally, Anubis sent Ruby flying with a strong kick.

The scythe wielder skid across stopping in front of her sister who was catching her breath. "Ruby." The redhead twitches in pain, then opening her eyes she looks up at her sister who offered her a hand. Taking it, Yang lifted her to her feet. Ruby tried her best to ignore the soreness her body was feeling.

Ruby was a mess; her right sleeve was gone along with a part of her top blouse. Her skirt was torn and she had holes in her stockings. There was cut above her brow, bleeding nose, cuts, and bruises all over her body. Somehow her cloak was still hanging on.

Yang didn't look any better either. Her jacket was barely hanging onto a single thread which left her bloodstain crop top exposed, and her scarf was lost somewhere in the battlefield. Blood trickle down from her head down to her face. Her body held many cuts and bruises like her sister but the two most noticeable injure was the bruise on her right leg and the fairly large bruise on her left side.

"She… She doesn't even look bothered by her injures." Ruby's comments noticed how unaware Anubis was of her own damaged body.

"Yea, at this rate we're not going to last much longer." Yang says still trying to steady her breathing.

Ruby looked over to her sister then to herself. She was right, anymore of this abuse and they'll surely fall. But what they can do? They can't make a run for it again. Weiss was in no condition to move at the moment and Blake… Oh gods, Blake. Her eyes traveled to her Faunus companion. She hasn't moved or made any sign that she was alive. But Ruby hoped she was. And if she is, then how does she get them all out of here. How does she stop this Grimm long enough for them to escape?

As Ruby brainstorms ideas she remembers something Anubis said. "You should honestly use it more. It might help turn the tide of our battle." Ruby looks down at her hand. Ki. Could using Ki actually help them win this battle or at least provide them the window they need to escape? But how does she do it? She can't just create an energy orb and throw it at the Grimm. She'll just dodge it or deflect it away unless she goes for a powerful close-up attack.

"Yang, I might have an idea on how we can stop her long enough to grab Weiss and Blake and make a run for it." Ruby's words grab her sister's attention.

"You do? What is it?" She asks.

"It…it's hard to explain, but it'll work. I just need you to stall her for two minutes."

Yang nearly trips over herself. "Two minutes!? Ruby I can barely last 30 seconds fighting her and you want me to distract her for two whole minutes!?"

"I-I know I'm asking a lot but trust me, this plan will work." Yang stares at her sister with uneasiness as Ruby's confident eyes stare back. Yang lets out a frustrating sigh, she rips her jacket off before tossing a rack of shotgun rounds in the air, disengaging the empty shells, and reloading the new ones in. Yang slams her fists together creating a burst of flames. "Two minutes, right? Easy Peasy."

Anubis smirks from afar.

Yang glares at the Grimm woman. Taking a deep breath Yang slips into her boxing stance. Without warning, Xiao Long fires serval explosive rounds at Anubis before firing at the ground propelling herself into the air.

Anubis jumps side to side dodging each one of them. Her attention moved upwards to Yang who was raining won dozens of explosive rounds. The Grimm woman jumps back and flips away.

Landing with a roll Yang quickly reloads Ember Celica and fires herself straight towards the Grimm woman. Anubis fires Ki blasts at the charging brawler. Yang weaves past each incoming blast till she was within arm's length of the Grimm woman. Leaning back then to her right when Anubis threw two punches. Yang counters with a left cross then a right cross. She leans away from an uppercut and moves in with a left straight to the face, followed by a right cross, then a left low kick and a right body shot.

Yang throws another punch but Anubis weaves past it and uppercuts with a right elbow into Yang's chest, staggering her back. She then moves her left fist and punches Yang injured side causing the brawler's face to twist in pain. Anubis then grabs Yang by the head and brings it down to her knee. Yang stumbles back with blood dripping from her nose.

Anubis proceeds to punch Yang across the face, adding a couple of kicks to her already injured side. Yang manages to catch one of Anubis' kicks and counters with a straight punch to the face.

While the two women fought, Ruby began to put her plan in motion. Grabbing some Dust bullets from her pocket she empties different types of Dust onto her hand for an extra oomph in her attack.

The added idea came to her when she remembered that time when Saiyaman and Dark Saiyaman fought at the port and one of the warehouses they crashed into was full of Dust which exploded because one of them fired a Ki blast inside. If she does the same, then it'll create an explosion at the point of impact.

And possibly blow her hand off in the process. A risk she's willing to take.

Closing her hand with a fist full of Dust, Ruby begins to concentrate her Ki into her fist. She only has one shot at this, so she needs to be fast, real fast. Crouching down, Ruby places her free hand on the ground, lifting her hips she shifts her body to a running starting position.

While gathering her Ki she also began focusing her Semblance, charging it for a burst rush. Bit by bit wind picked up around her.

Yang rolled across the floor, pushing herself to her feet she immediately put her arms up and weaves to the right, Anubis's fist just barely nicking her arm. Yang backpedals dodging left and right, away from Anubis's numerous attacks.

Unfortunately, she wasn't fast enough to dodge all of them. A strong low kick to her right leg caused Yang to lose complete mobility of it. Falling, Yang was struck three times in the gut, each strike lifting her body up before Anubis jumps for a spinning back kick.

Crashing on her back Yang tries to stand but the lack of feeling in her leg wouldn't let her. Yang's eyes widen when Anubis suddenly appeared to her right. Instantly Yang throws a left hook, which ended being a big mistake.

Anubis tilted her head to the side letting the fist fly past her before grabbing hold of Yang's left shoulder and repeatedly striking her exposed left side. With each strike, the brawler cried out in agony. Somehow, through the sheer pain, she was feeling Yang managed to reach and grab a fist full of hair from the back of Anubis's head and pull them both down to the floor. When they hit the floor, Anubis lost her grip on the brawler's shoulder, letting the blond boxer bring her free arm in front and fire an explosive round into Anubis's chest. The explosion sent both women skidding back. Yang rolled back to her feet but stumbled and fell onto one knee. A nasty cough came forcing her to cover her mouth with her right hand. Feeling her hand wet, Yang looks down to see blood. Her breathing was now a short wheezing one. Her weak eyes glared up at the casually approaching Grimm.

Ruby sees the state her sister is in, "Yang," Her worried voice coming out like a whisper.

"Oh? Looks like I finally broke something. I wonder what else I can break." Anubis sickeningly says with a grin.

Shakingly, Yang forces herself to stand up to her fighting stance, her left arm guarding her side now. Anubis took notice of this new stance. "Now that's not a very effective stance. You're full of openings now." She comments.

Ignoring her, Yang reloads her right gauntlet and rushes at Anubis. The Grimm woman effortlessly sidesteps away from it and backpedals away from the coming spin kicks, jabs, and terrible crosses. Anubis didn't bother blocking any of them as they were so predictable.

From a distance Weiss witnessed the entire scene, Yang was in trouble now, knowing full well that she couldn't fight with one arm.

In the midst of Yang's swings, Anubis ducks under a right cross and elbows the brawler in the gut. Yang's eyes widen with both shock and pain. Stumbling back, she held her stomach in pain.

Anubis stood straight up with one leg folded back and side kicks Yang away. The brawler flew back a great distance, skidding across the floor and stopping next to a broken car.

"Yang…" Weiss weakly called out.

The Grimm woman smirks, lifting her hand she gathers energy for a Ki blast. Her smirk disappears when she senses a growing power behind her. Turning around, her eyes land on Ruby. A large spiral of wind circled the Scythe wielder with her right fist glowing yellow.

"Sneaky little bitches," Anubis says with a grin. "I was wondering when you were going to jump in. You were having her distract me long enough for you to power up that attack of yours." Ruby grits her teeth, contemplating whether or not she should go for it now that she lost the element of surprise.

Anubis laughs, "I honestly can't believe I let myself fall for such a simple tactic." She says, wiping a tear from her eye. She notices Ruby's trouble look. "Ah, worried that I'll dodge your attack, now that I know what're planning." Ruby's face betrays her causing Anubis to smirk. "Don't worry, I have no intention of dodging. In fact, why don't we see," Drawing her left hand back. "Which of our attacks is the strongest." Black energy gathers within Anubis's left hand.

Ruby grits her teeth, focusing more of her Ki into her fist. Her Semblance spiraled around her, sending gusts of wind everywhere. Weiss had to squint her eyes as the winds were becoming too strong to keep her eyes open. The strong winds stirred Yang awake. Pushing herself up, she sees Ruby and Anubis preparing a great power collision. A brief thought of confusion as to what Ruby's attack was quickly brushed away by the seriousness before her.

If they collide there's no telling if Ruby's attack will be strong enough to overcome Anubis's. Yang tried getting up but fell back from the pain to her side. "Come on, Yang, you have to get up and do something!" She growls, attempting again to push herself up.

Weiss reaches behind into her back pocket. Pulling out Dust ammo, searching for one in particular.

Anubis chuckles, sparks forming around her hand. Ruby's gaze narrows, a faint burst of white Ki erupted from her body.

"COME ON!" Anubis shouts, bringing her hand upfront. Ruby lets out a great battle cry and pushes off the ground with her hand and leg strength.

Two things played out within a span of two seconds.

From above, Yang came flying down from the left side with a battle cry, right fist drawn back. Anubis looks up in surprise.

Using the attack as an opening Yang lands a clean blow across Anubis's face before grabbing Anubis's arm and pulling it back, directing the Ki blast to fire upwards instead.

Weiss summons a Glyph and pulls out a Lightening Dust vial. She hurls it through the Glyph creating a Time Dilation projectile that flew straight towards Ruby. The projectile landing underneath Ruby forms a clock-like Glyph. Kicking off, Ruby's body glows yellow.

BAM!

Within a blink of an eye, Ruby closes the distance and drives her fist straight into Anubis's gut.

The Grimm woman's eyes widen. "GAAAH!"

Ruby lets out a mighty shout, "HAAAA!" A bright light of Ki and Dust shined through her fist before an enormous explosive shockwave erupted from it. Sending all three women flying back. Ruby and Yang landed on their back a good distance away while Anubis was sent flying like a speeding bullet through three buildings with the last one collapsing on top of Anubis.

Nothing happened for a couple of seconds.

The Scythe wielder sat up with a groan. Feeling a stinging sensation coming from her hand, she looks down, she sees burn marks and blood dripping from cracks in her skin. "Whelp, at least it didn't blow up my hand." She optimistically says.

"Ruby," the voice of her sister had her lift her gaze. Holding her side, Yang walks over to her little sister with a limp. "What, what the hell was that explosion?"

"Oh that, uh, I held a fist full Dust in my hand and punched her with it." It wasn't a total lie, but it wasn't the entire truth either.

Yang's eyes widen, "You what!?" Ruby, you could've blown up your hand!"

Ruby nervously replies, "I-I know, but it was the best I could think of! Besides, it worked, didn't it?!" Pointing to the collapsed building. "Now come on, we have to get Weiss and… check on Blake before-."

CRASH!

Her words were cut short by the sound of something breaking through the pile of rubble and landing behind them. Both sisters' eyes widen, slowly they turn their heads back. "There's no way," Ruby thought, "I put everything I had into that attack." She unconsciously takes a step back when Anubis lifted her head.

Grimm blood drips from Anubis's smiling mouth. "Mag…MAGNIFICENT!" What an attack!" She excitingly shouts, showing off the hole through her stomach. Yang felt like she was going to throw up. Meanwhile Ruby was trying to comprehend how this Grimm woman was able to act like there was no hole through her. "You! What's your name?!"

Ruby confusingly points at herself, "M-Me?" Anubis nods excitedly. Ruby glances at her sister who gives her an unsure shrug. The Scythe wielder looks back with a still unsure yet alert expression. "Ruby Rose." She answers.

"Ruby Rose…" Anubis repeats, testing the name, before letting out a chuckle. "Well, Ruby Rose, I must commend you for powerful attack. You're the first human to ever inflict this much damage on me. And the third being on this planet to have me feel this degree of pain."

Ruby's head perked up. She was the third being to her hurt? Who were the other two? The only two people she could think of is Saiyaman and Dark Saiyaman. Is she able to go toe to toe with those two powerhouses?!

"So out of respect for your display of power, I shall show you some of mines." Ruby and Yang tense up. Crossing her arms, Anubis lets out a battle cry as her power explodes around her. An ominous black aura surrounds her now.

Ruby and Yang take steps back out of shock and fear. They couldn't sense Ki, but they could instinctively tell how much more dangerous the Grimm woman had become.

Anubis smirks at their reaction. Taking an unfamiliar stance with her body hunched over and her arms dangling down.

Within the next second, the sound of flesh hitting flesh was loudly heard next to Ruby. Anubis had moved in at a speed faster than anything seen before and punched Yang across the face, so hard that she was sent her flying like a bullet into a car.

Ruby gasps, turning around she had no time to react to the spinning back kick aimed at her gut and the attacks that followed next.

Yang pushed off from the car and dropped to her knees with a gasp. Holding her face she breathes heavily. Holy shit! She really thought her head was knocked off her shoulders. That punch made her lose consciousness for five whole seconds.

Her ears picked up a cry. Lifting her gaze, she sees Ruby being mercilessly beaten by the Grimm woman. Anger flows into the brawler, standing up she makes her way to them.

Anubis knees Ruby in the gut before elbowing her down. The Scythe wielder hit's the floor hard but still goes for a counter. She moves to kick Anubis off her feet. The Grimm woman casually steps back. Pushing herself off the ground Ruby goes for another kick. Anubis catches it with her right hand and with her other hand she punches Ruby straight in the gut, earning a painful cry from the Scythe Wielder. Anubis proceeded to repeatedly punch Ruby in the gut prompting her to let out more painful cries. Anubis ends it with a kick across the stomach, sending Ruby flying back.

She vanishes and reappears behind Ruby and backhands her to the ground. Anubis then raises her hand causing magic and Ki to burst from the ground hitting Ruby's chest causing her to spin in the air. Anubis manipulates the attack to hit Ruby several times from different angles before jumping into the air, gathering the attack into her hand, and firing it.

Ruby cried out as the blast sent her crashing across the floor, splitting the concrete road before exploding.

Anubis touches down with a smirk. She spins around and catches Yang's fist. The brawler angrily curses her slowness. Anubis grips onto her fist and pulls her down to her knee. Yang coughs up saliva as the knee connects with her gut.

Yang's face receives a left punch then a right uppercut and then a left kick to her side. Anubis quickly covers her mouth muffling the brawler's painful screams. Anubis then repeatedly gut punches her before uppercutting her into the air. She brought her hand up and fired a Ki wave into her.

The blast sent her flying up. "YANG!" Ruby screams, picking herself up.

The brawler was sent higher up when suddenly she hit something invisible. Ruby and Weiss's eyes widen at what they saw. "A barrier?!" They exclaimed.

"So that's why no one noticed what was happening to the people of this neighborhood and why none of our scrolls could get a signal. The barrier was shielding everything inside!" Ruby concluded. Her attention returned to the battle when the blast driving Yang into the barrier ceased. Yang came falling down.

Anubis gathers Ki into her hand and moves to throw it, but a dropkick from behind causes her to miss and skid across the floor.

Looking up, Ruby spreads her arms out and catches her sister. "Yang," She worriedly says, carefully lowering her to the ground. A groan escapes Yang's lips as she looks up at her little sister. "Hey Rubes, just give me a sec to catch my breath. I'll… get back into this fight." She hunches over to better steady her breathing. Ruby looks at her sister's back and sees the burn marks on her skin. Ruby softly places a hand on her back. Yang hissed in pain causing Ruby to pull her hand away.

"Aw don't tell me you're done too. I really had high hopes you'd last longer." The disappointing tone of Anubis causes Ruby to tense and turn around.

"Yang, you stay here and catch your breath. I'll hold her off." Yang looks at her sister in surprise.

Ruby stared at the Grimm woman. She was strong, far stronger than her now, but that didn't mean she was going to give up. Breathing in and out, Ruby calm's her nerves and slips into her fighting stance, trying her best to ignore her body's soreness.

Anubis smirks at the red head's courage.

A moment later Anubis fires a ki blast. Ruby quickly twists her body out the way then ducks under another. She barely had time to think as she grabs and tosses Yang out the way before rushing at Anubis.

The brawler was left speechless at how easily she was tossed by her sister. Weiss braced herself as Yang came crashing into her.

Ruby jumped over and ran past dozens of Ki blasts being fired. Her face turns into shock as Anubis appears in front of her and slaps a Ki orb to the side of her face. A cry escapes Ruby as she was sent flying from the explosion. She bounces off ground before flipping back to her feet. Lifting her gaze, she doesn't see Anubis.

Suddenly, she feels a presence behind her. Instantly Ruby brings her left leg back around. Anubis blocks it with her left forearm and counters with a right punch. Ruby blocks it with her left palm. The Grimm woman smirks. Ruby backpedals blocking and dodging the barrage of attacks that were thrown at her. Anubis swings her right leg, Ruby jumps away and Anubis chases after her.

Zipping all around the place they exchange blows at high speed. The concrete broke underneath the small shockwaves that erupted from their collision. Dodging Ruby glances at her sister and Weiss and sees their back turned to them. That moment of distraction cost her.

Receiving a kick under the chin Ruby was sent flying up. Anubis fires a Ki blast at her. Ruby leans forward and vaults over it before bringing her hands up front and firing a Ki blast of her own. Anubis deflects the blast away with her left and throws a Ki blast. Ruby twists her body out the way and counters with another Ki blast. The ground shook with each explosion. Ruby skidded back from one of the explosions before rushing back with a battle cry.

The library table faintly shook earning a narrow gaze from Black.

"Black, are you paying attention?" Alli questions.

The ex-kaioshin looks at his partner, "I am."

"Really?" Then you don't mind explaining why the Faunus lost the battle of Fort Everest?" Pyrrha wasn't the least bit fazed by the stern look he gave her.

With a sigh, Black gives his answer. "The Faunus battalion that crossed the mountain to reach Fort Everest was attacked several times by large packs of Grimm who've adapted to the cold temperatures of the mountain, causing them to lose a considerable number of soldiers. Their numbers only decreased due to their lack of caution to the cold temperatures of the mountains. When they finally arrived at the Fort, they had lost half of their battalion and were easily fended off, captured, and taken prisoners."

Both Team BAGL and JNPR were quite impressed by his summarized answer. "Alright, I guess he was paying attention." Gohan commented.

"Sorry," Pyrrha apologized.

"Hmph," Black turns his head. Both groups went back to going past lessons.

Team JNPR had finished their afternoon combat training and decided to go to the library to help Jaune and Nora with their studies. It was there that they met Team BAGL who was helping Black catch up on his assignments. They agreed to help each other out for the remainder of the afternoon.

"Okay, so we covered Remnant History, now we have to cover Grimm Biology and Dustistry and you're all caught up." Gohan says.

As they were pulling out their notes for Grimm Biology, Pyrrha noticed Jaune looking down at his scroll. "Jaune, have you been paying attention?"

"Huh? Oh, uh, no, sorry, it's just that I sent a message to Weiss asking her if I could borrow her Dustistry notes, she always responds within the first two minutes, but she hasn't, and it's been almost an hour." Jaune's concern was heard by the rest of the group.

"Now that you mention it, Yang usually calls me around this time to ask what we're all doing." Gohan adds.

Black pulls out his scroll and dials Ruby. "Black?" Lewis questions.

The ex-kaioshin lowers the scroll, "Call isn't going through."

They all exchanged glances. "Guys relax, Ruby and Yang said they were going to the arcade today. You know how those buildings always interfere with scroll signals. They probably dragged Weiss and Blake with them too." Nora's explanation seemed to have worked as the group relaxed a bit.

"You're probably right." Ren says, the other agreeing.

Black wasn't so convinced though. Turning his head in the direction of the city, he searched for Ruby's Ki. After a minute.

"What the hell?" He couldn't find her.

This was alarming. He should be able to sense her quite easily with the level of power she has now, but he can't. Why is that? Did she somehow self-taught herself how to hide her energy? No, she couldn't have. That's something that isn't so easily learned, especially for someone who still learning how to utilize Ki.

Then was she in trouble? Was Ruby captured and taken somewhere he couldn't sense her? He could only think of a very small handful of people that could take her down. But most of them are allies. Besides, even if she was unconscious somewhere he would've sensed her in battle.

Mm.

Perhaps he might be overthinking it. It is a possibility that she went on a mission with her team without telling him or the others. Still though…

Another faint shake was felt causing his eyes to narrow again.

"GuuuAAAAHH!" Ruby was sent flying before screaming due to her back crashing into a wall. Ruby fell forward with weak eyes as the wall crumbled behind her. Before she hit the floor Anubis flew in front of her and delivered a strong gut punch. "GUUAH!" Dropping to her knees Ruby held her stomach in pain while trying to regulate her breathing.

Anubis grins down at Ruby. Bringing her foot up she kicks in the face causing the back of her head to hit the broken wall. She then grabs the Scythe wielder by the face and drags her up before lifting her over and slamming down.

Ruby twitches in pain, opening her eyes she sees Anubis's foot coming down. Quickly, she rolls out the way. Anubis reaches out with her left and grabs her by the hair then moves her right fist for an uppercut. Ruby's head snaps up before skidding back after receiving a straight punch to the face.

Her legs wobbled a bit before she dropped to her hands and knees. Panting, sweat, and blood drip down her chin. Her arms hurt, her legs hurt, her entire body hurt.

The approaching footsteps had her lift her head enough to see Anubis.

With all her willpower Ruby pushes herself back up. Barely managed to slip back to her fighting stance. "That's it Ruby Rose, stand back up, keep fighting." Anubis says with a grin.

Ruby grits her teeth. Leaning forward she dashes with her Semblance. She first throws a right punch, then a left, followed by a roundhouse kick.

Anubis blocks her initial attacks and the others that followed. This girl, she's already at her limit, and yet she still presses on. Not a single one of her attacks lessened its speed or power.

It almost pained her to see such a fighter, no, a rising warrior die by her hands.

Anubis delivers a powerful kick to Ruby's stomach sending her flying across the open area. She dashes past Ruby, stopping behind she moves in with a Ki orb in hand. Ruby manages to spin out the way and into Anubis. Both women fall and roll across the floor. Anubis kicks Ruby off and jumps back at her.

Ruby rolls back to her feet as well and dashes towards the charging Grimm woman.

Anubis throws a right punch which ends up being deflected by Ruby's forearm. She then leans back when the redhead goes for a counter left hook., only to find out that Ruby wasn't trying to hit her.

A handful of Fire Dust was thrown into Anubis's eyes.

The Grimm woman clutched her eyes. "ARGH!" She screams out as the Dust burns away her eyes.

Ruby was quick to follow her underhand tactic by punching Anubis across the face and letting loose a flurry of attacks, all hitting the Grimm woman from different angles before grabbing onto one of her, lifting her over, and slamming her down.

Ruby then quickly put Anubis in a rear-naked choke. This was it!

Yang and Weiss still on the ground were now facing the battlefield again, "She's got her!" Weiss comments.

"Don't let go Ruby!" Yang shouts.

The Scythe wielder hears her and deepens the hold. She feels the Grimm woman squirm under, trying to remove her arms from her neck. Anubis's sharp nails clawing at Ruby's arms causing blood to drip down her arm. If she loosens her hold just for a second, it'll be all over. Gritting her teeth, she ignores the pain and tightens the hold, "GAAAARRRH!" Ruby screams.

Suddenly, a fired Ki blast rang across the battlefield.

Yang and Weiss's eyes widen.

A black beam of light exiting from Ruby's back as she was sent flying back with shock written all over her face.

She crashes on her back and closes her eyes while her body twitches in pain. While there was no hole through Ruby's body there was still a considerable amount of damage dealt to her.

"RUBY WATCH OUT!" Yang shouts.

Opening one eye, Ruby was met with a knee to the gut. The ground around her cracks under the impact. Her eyes widen, coughing up blood with her face twisting in absolute pain. A scream escapes her mouth as she grabs the knee that landed on her stomach.

Anubis ignores the scream and rubs her eyes. When she opens them, Grimm blood leaked from her eyes. Parts of skin and eyes had been burned off. Her annoyed face morphed into a grin as she looked down.

"I gotta say, I never expected you to use such a dirty tactic. Maybe the blonde or that Faunus but not you." Ruby glares at Anubis. "Oh don't get me wrong. I'm not angry. As a matter of fact, I welcome such things. Because if you ask me," Grimm tentacles burst from the ground wrapping themselves around Ruby's wrists and ankles, spreading them out and holding her limbs down. "Anything goes in a fight."

After that, Ruby received a strong punch across the face. The power in it shocked her. Another punch snapped her face the other way. The Grimm woman's sinister grin spreads across with Ruby's eyes widening at the realization of what was coming next.

Anubis proceeded to brutally beat Ruby Rose.

The sound of her face being punched was all Weiss and Yang could hear. "NO!" Yang shouted. Weiss tore her eyes away from the horrible sight.

Squirming underneath the Grimm woman Ruby tried to escape but that just incited Anubis to punch her harder. Each time her fists connected it splattered blood across the floor. Her sickening grin only grew with each hit.

She beat her for a whole minute. Which felt like an eternity for Ruby.

With a final right hook, Anubis ends her torture. The Grimm tentacles retracted back into the ground. Anubis stood up and gazed at her handy work.

Ruby laid unmoving, blood almost covering every inch of her face as well as a number of bruises. A cut above her left brow, a cut lower lip, a swollen right eye, a broken nose, and some missing teeth. The sight alone would be enough to convince anyone she was dead.

The only reassurance of her still being alive was the faint rise and fall of her chest.

Yang only stared at her sister's unmoving body.

Tears streamed down Weiss's face, unable to rip her eyes away from Ruby's face.

"Phew. That was kinda exhausting." Anubis nonchalantly says. Bending down she snaps her fingers in front of Ruby's face. "Hey, you still with me?" She asks.

Ruby doesn't respond.

"Hm. Probably unconscious." Her stomach grumbles a bit. "Gods, all this fighting really helped me digest the food this neighborhood provided me." She says, patting her stomach. She then reaches down and lifts Ruby by what is left of her top blouse. "Since you fought me the hardest, you don't if I have a little snack. Do you?"

Again, Ruby doesn't respond.

Anubis grins and says, "Thanks." Then sunk her sharp teeth into Ruby's left shoulder.

The action caused Ruby to wake. "AAAAHH!" She screams as she grabs Anubis's arm and head. She frantically kicks at her which only caused the Grimm woman to sink her teeth deeper.

Weiss watches in horror as her partner screams in agony. Weiss tried her best to get up and do something but her still shattered body refused to move.

Yang felt something ignite and burn inside, her tightly clenched fists drawing blood from her nails digging into her skin. Her sister's screams, causing her breathing erratic.

After a minute of biting into Ruby's shoulder, Anubis forcefully draws her head back, tearing a chunk of Ruby's shoulder. The Scythe wielder screamed in pure agony with tears streaming down her only open eye.

Anubis dropped Ruby and took a moment to chew on the flesh before swallowing it. With her facing towards the sky, it was unclear what expression she was making. Until, "DELICIOUS! What a scrumptious piece of meat! It has a uniquely delicious flavor to it that I've never tasted before. It burns my mouth to the point where I want to rip it off! But it's so delicious! Is this what the flesh of a warrior tastes like?!" If it is I need more of it!" Anubis's smile disappears when she looks down at Ruby.

The Scythe was curled up in a fetal position, crying while holding her bleeding shoulder.

"Ruby," Weiss says. Her attention was grabbed by the sudden increase in temperature and the burning sensation she was feeling on her skin from the rising brawler.

Anubis pokes at the crying girl with her foot. "Looks like I managed to break her finally. Too bad it kinda ruined my appetite a bit." With a strong kick, she sends Ruby away.

The Scythe wielder skipped across the floor before crashing into a wall and falling unconscious.

"Stay there, Imma go feed on your friends first before-." Anubis's eyes widen as she senses a fiery presence coming from behind.

Yang came straight down with a rageful battle cry. Anubis moves out the way, letting Yang punch the ground instead causing the pavement to explode.

Like what Ruby did Anubis placed Yang into a read-naked choke. "Easy there, if you don't control that anger of yours, it'll cost you a snapped neck." She taunts.

Her words fell onto deaf ears as Yang grips the arm around her neck and kicks off the ground. Anubis was surprised to see that blondie still had enough strength to send them flying.

Crashing into a wall, Yang repeatedly slams Anubis's back into it. The Grimm woman winced when she felt the brawler's very unusual hot fingers begin to dig into her arm. She was forced to let go when Yang's hair burst into flames, burning Anubis a bit.

The brawler spun around with a powerful left hook, then a straight right, a straight left, and a right uppercut. She then grabs Anubis by the collar and throws her over.

Anubis rolls across the floor, pushing up to her feet, she ducks under a left punch and counters with a left body shot to Yang's injured side. Anubis smirks, expecting the brawler to drop and cry out in pain. Only, to her shock, she didn't.

Yang grabs Anubis from both sides of her head, draws her head way back, and slams her forehead into Anubis's face.

The devastating headbutt broke the Grimm woman's nose and left her in a daze.

Stumbling back, Anubis was wide open for Yang to follow with a mighty right hook before tackling Anubis to the ground. Now on top, the brawler furiously unleashed a barrage of punches into Anubis's chest and stomach. Screaming in absolute rage. The constant punches caused an explosion of flames to burst all around.

Weiss tried to shield her face from the intense heat Yang was producing. Her exposed skin began to receive first-degree burns.

The ground underneath Anubis cracks under pressure, creating a small crater. Grimm blood spills from Anubis's mouth and the hole through her stomach. The flames scorched her skin.

Anubis grits her teeth; between the punches she manages to vanish out of sight and appear behind Yang.

With a turn during a mid-punch Yang drags her fist through the ground for an uppercut. Anubis catches the incoming fist with her right hand and counters with her own left fist. Yang catches the fist interlock fingers and the struggle to push the other back begins.

The increasing force between them causes the ground to break. Anubis aura flares up and Yang's hair lights up in flames.

Yang grits her teeth, then let out a rageful shout, "RRRRAAAAAGGGHHH!" The flames surrounding her responded to her rage, increasing in both heat and size. Now dwarfing the Grimm woman aura.

Anubis's eyes widen when she finds herself being pushed back. This human was overpowering her?!

Feeling the heat rise again, Weiss tries to crawl away as the scorching heat was starting to further damage her skin.

Yang continues to push the Grimm back. With her feet digging into the ground Anubis begins to feel the flesh on her hands burning away under Yang's grip. Unfortunately, the Grimm woman wasn't alone one being greatly affected by the flames. With each moment the flames increased Yang also found herself burning under the intense heat.

Bit by bit burn marks spread over Yang's arms, neck, face, and body. But Yang didn't seem to take notice. Her mind too consumed with rage to even care.

Shock befell Anubis's face when she dropped to one knee. "Where is she getting all this strength from!? It's unbelievable!"

The flames surrounding Yang increased again, fire now seeping from the corners of her eyes and mouth.

Anubis's face twist into a mix of pain and anger. "You damn human! Don't get COCKY!" She shouts before pushing up and driving her right foot deep into Yang's gut. Lifting her body off the ground.

Shock and pain wash over Yang's face. The flames surrounding her dispersing.

Anubis then vanishes and reappears behind the brawler, moving she grabs Yang by the back of the head and slams her face into the ground. The impact creating a small crater around the brawler's head.

There was a moment of silence with just Anubis panting a bit. After relaxing and getting her breathing under control, she removes her hand from the blondie's head. She looks down to examine herself. Her body had been heavily burned. "Tch." Focusing her Grimm blood and power her body slowly begins to regenerate. The hole through her stomach fills up last.

Weiss helplessly looks up at her down friend. "Yang, no."

After her recovery was done, she looks down at the brawler. Yang's body twitched in pain. Even though she held back Anubis still couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed that this human was able to overpower so much.

Lifting her foot, she stomps Yang's head earning herself a painful groan. She stomped her head three more times before stopping. "You human's really are something else. Hmph. It really has been a long time since I've had this much fun." She sat down on Yang's back and held her upper arm down with one hand and grabbed the wrist with the other. "Still, I feel as though I should pay you back for what you did to me." Yang tenses up, knowing full well what the Grimm woman was planning to do.

Anubis begins to pull her wrist back. Yang using every ounce of strength she had left tried to keep her forearm down. But it was to no avail.

CRACK!

The sound of a bone-cracking caused Yang's eyes to widen followed by a scream. Anubis drops the broken arm and lets the brawler a moment to catch her breath before moving to the other arm.

Yang looks over her shoulder, again trying to keep her arm down. Anubis slowly liftin the arm pulled it back further and further until-.

"Let her go."

It was faint but Anubis heard it. Stopping she looks ahead and sees Ruby standing back up. Her eyes were covered by her hair.

"Let…her go…!" She says again with a raised voice.

A brow rises on Anubis's face when she notices the surrounding debris begin to tremble. The ones closer to Ruby levitating off the ground. Yang and Weiss were perplexed by what was going on.

Now standing all the way up, Ruby clenched her fists and teeth. The ground trembling to increase with more pieces of debris floating up. "I said. LET. HER. GOOOOOOOO!" Screams at the top of her lungs, throwing her hands up in the air, a white aura of Ki explodes around her being.

Her surging power blew everything away and collapsed the building behind her.

Ruby's power increases by the second. Then from her hands, she fires a yellow Ki wave straight into the barrier. The Ki wave collides with the barrier but doesn't break through it. Screaming, Ruby continues to pour more energy into it causing strong gusts of wind.

Yang and Weiss couldn't believe what they were seeing. Ruby was doing to the exact same attack they've seen Saiyaman and Dark Saiyaman do many times.

Anubis smirks, knowing full well that level while impressive wasn't going to be enough to break through that barrier.

Ruby's aura abruptly explodes again. A dormant power within her suddenly emerges. A power never been seen before by anyone on Remnant. Ruby's body pulsed with silver energy, her lone eyes glowing brightly with her yellow energy wave becoming silver and increasing in size.

The struggle between the barrier and Ki wave lasted for about three seconds before Ruby let out one final powerful battle cry and broke through the barrier, lightening up the night sky.

When the attack ceased, Anubis, Yang, and Weiss were left in complete shock and awe. The Grimm woman more so than the two huntresses. That barrier was made strong enough to withstand her own full power attacks. And this girl…broke through it.

Anubis's expression morphed into a wide grin. "Magnificent."

Ruby drops to her knees unable to stand any longer.

"Ruby." Yang worriedly said.

Anubis heard the blondie's voice and grabbed her by the hair and slams her face down before standing up.

Yang painfully lifted her head. Vison obscured by the blood dripping down from her forehead, wipes it off with her only functional arm. Her eyes then widen when she sees the Grimm woman walking toward her sister. "No. You stay away from her! You hear me! You stay away from my sister!" Anubis ignores the brawler and continues walking.

Yang crawls across the floor in an attempt to reach her. But with barely any strength in her legs and only one arm to pull her forward she found herself unable to reach her. "GODS DAMNIT! IF YOU TOUCH HER I SWEAR I'LL KILL YOU! I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!" Anubis paid no attention to her threats. Along the way, her right nails sharpen.

Weiss sees her best friend's life in danger and tried to stand up again but just like her other two attempts she falls back down.

Anubis grew closer to the redhead. Yang's rageful eyes were replaced with tears as Summer Rose flashed across her mind. "Please…don't take her too." Anubis stops in front of Ruby and crouches down. "RUBY!" Yang shouts, helplessly stretching her hand out.

Hearing her sister's voice Ruby Rose lifts her head to see Anubis claws closing in on her face. She couldn't react. She had nothing left.

Suddenly Anubis halts and gasps, looking to her right she jumps away as a glove-covered fist comes flying at her.

Ruby barely managed to see who it was.

Black spandex, green gi, orange helmet, and a white cape. Her eye slightly opens up, recognizing the figure. "Saiyaman." She whispers.

Indeed, the iconic hero of Remnant has arrived.

Saiyaman throws a flurry of punches and kicks to the Grimm woman. Anubis unable to keep up with the hero's speed was hit multiple times. She deflects a punch and goes for a counter left roundhouse kick. Saiyaman blocks it with his forearm and delivered a straight punch to Anubis's face.

The Grimm woman flipped back several times then stopped and gave an under swing sending black energy and magic from the ground toward Saiyaman.

Saiyaman Z vanishes out the way. Appearing left to Anubis he punches her across the face, following it up with a right knee to the gut and a right cross. As Anubis skid back from the punch she raised her hand up and slammed them down. From the ground, a wave of Grimm tar and Ki burst out. Saiyaman was forced to jump back.

Anubis jumps back as well, landing on top of a building. Wiping blood from her nose she smirks down at the caped hero. "The Hero of Remnant. I've been meaning to fight you for a very long time. Now I finally get the chance to." From behind the visor Gohan angrily stared at the Grimm woman. "Bring it on!" She shouts.

As both fighters move to engage one another, Anubis was instantly halted. Looking behind she sees several pairs of Grimm hands come through a blackish-red portal and grab her arms, legs, torso, and neck. Anubis knew exactly whose doing this was. "No! You're not going to interfere! I must fight this man! I must find him!" Anubis's words were left unheard. Turning back to the Remnant Hero, her face turns to shock when she sees Saiyaman right up in front of her with a punch coming down at her.

Gohan blinks in surprise when his attack misses due to Anubis being pulled into the portal by the Grimm hands. The portal disappears within a second after Anubis enters. Leaving a confused half-breed floating in the air. "She's gone." Gohan looked around. "Can't even sense where she's gone to either.

His attention returns to his friend after not being able to sense the Grimm woman. He landed in front of Yang was managed to sit up with the help of Weiss who was finally able to move again. "Are you two okay?!" He asks, dropping his hero's voice.

"No, but we're alive." Yang answers, not noticing the voice change.

Gohan frowns at the sight of their bodies. His visor scanned them and listed the many injuries they've sustained. He then looks over where he saw Ruby and was shocked by the state she was in. He didn't get a clear look at her when he flew in but now, he did.

Flying over to her he was stopped by Ruby pointing to a different direction. Looking to where she was pointing at, he sees Blake on the ground. He didn't even sense her. Does that mean she's…

"Please…help her…" Ruby weakly pleads.

Gohan flies over to where the cat Faunus laid and crouches down next to her. Now up close, it looked like she was gone. His visor was unable to pick up any signs of life. "No. Blake." He softly says, looking into her lifeless eyes.

From behind Yang and Weiss approached the hero and their friend.

"Is she…" Weiss starts but refuses to complete her sentence in fear that it may come true.

Saiyaman places a hand on her head and hangs his head. Only to lift it when he senses something. Focusing in on her energy he manages to pick it up. "She's alive." He announces surprisingly. "But barely holding onto a thread."

While the brawler and Schnee were glad to hear that their friend was alive, the words "barely holding onto a thread" did not sit well with them.

"If I move her as she is, there's no telling if she'll make it to a hospital."

"Isn't there something you can do?" Yang desperately asks.

Gohan thought for a moment. "Maybe…" There was something he can do, he remembers Krillin telling him on their way to Namek that giving Ki to someone will not just increase their power but will heal them a bit. His memories playback to the time he gave Ki to Piccolo during their fight with Frieza, but he's never done it to someone unfamiliar with Ki before. He doesn't know if Blake's body will accept it or if his energy will do more harm than good.

With little time for second thoughts, Gohan proceeds with the procedure. Resting on both knees he lifts his hands in front of him. Creating a weak Ki orb in between his hands, he gently lowers it down to her chest.

Yang and Weiss watch in awe as the orb slowly enters Blake's body. A couple of seconds later, the Faunus's body glows a light purple. Blake took in a breath, her eyes regaining their life before they closed. "There, that should stabilize her until I get her to the hospital." He carefully lifts the Faunus in his arm.

"Thank you." Yang said.

Gohan gives her a nod, "I'll come back as fast as can." He says before taking off.

Yang watches until she couldn't see them anymore. Her gaze drops to the floor. "How are you holding up Weiss?" When she receives no answer, she looks up at the Schnee. "Weiss?"

Starring behind Weiss's face was filled with horror. Looking behind as well, Yang's heart drops, her eyes fill with shock and fear.

Large amounts of blood spill onto the floor. "Huh…?" Ruby Rose stood in confusion and shock from the small pool of redness she vomited from her mouth and the blood that streamed down her from her eyes and nose.

Looking up at her sister and best friend, she sees them hurrying over to her. They looked as though they were shouting something, but she couldn't hear what it was.

The sigh of them disappears with Ruby falling back. She felt her heartbeat slower and slower. Her vision darkened with each slow beat. Until…

"…. Black…"

There you have it everyone, Chapter 31, finally. This was definitely the longest chapter I've written.

I hope you guys like it, it was quite difficult to describe some fight scenes mainly Ruby and Weiss moments. I understand that Weiss's rapier has similar descriptions as of a normal sword when writing fights, but I feel as though it should've been different.

Ruby, on the other hand, I've never written a fight scene that involved a Scythe. It was very new to me as I'm more comfortable with hand-to-hand combat writing. So I apologize if Ruby's moments with Crescent Rose seemed a bit iffy, I will try to read more examples of Scythe fighting from other authors to get a better understanding of how one should be written.

For the next chapter, I won't be making promises when it'll drop but I'm hoping I can finish it by around Christmas or New Years' time.
