Author's Note: So, back in August of 2020 I wrote a non canon omake for ajw over on SpaceBattles for his story A Left Turn at Albuquerque. You can find the original version on SpaceBattles on page 439 of the story thread. I wrote it like at oh-dark-thirty when I first wrote it. Recently, I reread it and decided to make some revisions and improvements to it.

Some background, another author Raneko had been posting their own non canon omakes where the REF fleet is at the Alderaan system, the Death Star is approaching and Governor Tarkin was issued an ultimatum that he rejected. Then while still in a live transmission between Queen Breha of Alderaan and her husband Bail Organa as well as Admiral Rick Hunter of the REF, Governor Tarkin orders Darth Vader to execute Princess Leia immediately which he carries out at once, severing her head from her body with his crimson lightsaber.

My omake originally started immediately after that moment of the death of Princess Leia. But I'm going to make some alterations. Here is my version 2.0. I hope you enjoy.

Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars, that belongs to Disney. I do not own Robotech, that belongs to Harmony Gold. I am just writing a story.

The REF versus The Death Star

Non-Canon Omake Scene From A Left Turn At Albuquerque

Everyone aboard the bridge of the SDF-3 was in shock. There were audible gasps followed by low mutterings of curse words from the bridge crew. The sight of Princess Leia's decapitated body was in full view of the camera. Darth Vader was standing behind the body with his lightsaber still ignited but he deactivated it after a moment. On the monitor, the transmission feed showed that Queen Breha's face was a variety of emotions. Shock, anger, fury, sadness, anguish, appeared on her face. Her husband Bail Organa was resolute, he was holding the arm of his wife, the Queen. It took everything in their being to restrain themselves.

The Queen took a slow deliberate breath then with calm, cold, fury the Queen of Alderaan spoke, "Governor Tarkin, you have just demonstrated to the entire galaxy the pure, absolute, evil that is the Galactic Empire. To arbitrarily declare a planet's senator guilty without a fair, impartial trial, then order and carry out that senator's execution, again Without A Trial shows how far our galaxy has fallen into darkness since Chancellor Palpatine declared himself Emperor and tore apart our once great Republic and created his Galactic Empire."

"You proclaim that Alderaan is part of the Rebel Alliance and you are no doubt here to destroy our planet with the Empire's newest weapon of terror. Don't try to deny it, I have seen footage of your weapons tests at Jedha and Scarif, courtesy of Admiral Hunter's forces. There can be no mistake. Your "research station" is weapon of mass destruction and you've declared us guilty. A planet without a standing military, no weapons. Again, without proof, no evidence, no trial. So, I shall give you what you want."

Looking purely furious the Queen declared, "On my authority as Queen of Alderaan, the Planet Alderaan secedes from The Galactic Empire and declares itself to be a proud planet in the Galactic Republic! We shall be the first to leave this tyrannical, despotic, Empire and join the fight for Freedom! As of this moment, Alderaan is part of the Alliance to Restore The Republic! We will be the first of many to join against the Empire."

Then she turned to look at Admiral Hunter and said, "Admiral Hunter, get that filth out of my sight and out of my sky."

With a predatory smile Rick Hunter bowed slightly and said, "As you command, your majesty."

Queen Breha cut the transmission.

Admiral Rick Hunter looked at Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin through his own monitor and calmly stated, "Governor Tarkin, you've given your answer, now I shall reply with the only language that you truly understand and that you speak fluently. Trust me, we will show you new meaning of the word "firepower"."

With a gesture, the transmission to the Death Star was cut.

Having received the Queen of Alderaan's blessing, Admiral Rick Hunter said, "The word is given. Execute."

His second in command spoke to the entire fleet. "All ships, the word has been given, Reflex and Synchro-Cannons, commence firing! The weapon array has immediate priority! All ships, launch all veritechs! Missile batteries, commence fire mission as designated. Primary and secondary gun batteries, fire at will!"

The small fleet of the Robotech Expeditionary Force had the Death Star within their firing range. The Reflex Cannons and Synchro-Cannons from the fleet of ships equipped with those powerful weapons were fully powered up and ready to fire since the Death Star had emerged from hyperspace and started moving towards the planet and once the word was given, destructive power that the Empire had never seen before was unleashed upon the mighty battle station.

The primary weapon array of the Death Star was the primary target of those powerful weapons and even though Grand Moff Tarkin had ordered the shields of the battle station to be reinforced and prioritized the shields that were protecting the Primary Weapon to be increased, they could not withstand the firepower unleashed upon the firing array dish. The shields held for all of five seconds before failing, the shield generators exploding spectacularly in that region once the powerful beams struck the center, the top and the top right of the primary weapon's array. The explosion was huge and that portion of the dish was completely gone.

The whole station shuddered from the impact, alarms sounded from multiple consoles, technicians and called out damage reports. Tarkin was knocked down to his knees, forced to grab a rail to keep from falling on his ass. Darth Vader was barely able to keep standing, relying on his cybernetic legs to keep him steady.

Vader brought his hand to the side of his helmet. The Force was screaming at him and it shook him to his core. Then he started speaking, "Something is wrong, something is wrong, the Force...the Force is screaming...I haven't felt this sensation since...since..." Vader's voice changed to that of a whisper. "Padme's death..."

Governor Wilhuff Tarkin pulled himself up and snarled, "Fire, fire the primary weapon!"

An officer monitoring the primary weapon's systems said, "Unable to fire, sir! The enemy has hit the array, three of the lasers are gone! Shields protecting that quadrant of the station are completely offline!"

Someone yelled, "Incoming! Incoming missiles! Governor Tarkin, I am tracking over ten thousand missiles! Kriff, they've fired another barrage, I am tracking ten thousand more missiles incoming! By the Force, more missiles! Tracking thirty thousand missiles incoming and kriffing more are being launched!"

Someone else yelled, "Fighter launch! Enemy fleet has launched fighters! Detecting more than 3,000 enemy fighters."

Then Tarkin yelled, "Battle stations! Sound the alert! Fire all batteries! Destroy the enemy fleet!"

"Belay that order, we need those weapons for missile defense!", someone cried out.

Another person yelled, "All targets are out of gunnery range! We need to move closer!"

Tarkin snarled, "Then advance! Flank speed damn you, get us into firing range! Launch all TIEs at once!

Sirens and klaxons sounded through the station as it shook from being struck by the powerful energy weapons fired by the tiny but mysteriously powerful REF fleet.

Tarkin swirled to look for Darth Vader and found Vader on his knees, his hands to his helmet. "Something is wrong...the Force...what have I done?"

"Vader, get up! Get to your fighter! Your skills are needed to destroy the enemy!"

Vader was unresponsive to Tarkin's yelling.

Governor Tarkin hustled to look at the damage control board. He saw the glaring red symbols showing that the primary weapon array was inoperative, three of the laser arrays were destroyed, one of them being the laser array in the center of the weapon array. He took note of more parts of the battle station being damaged or being destroyed. He saw two more indicator lights from the primary weapon array change to a blazing red. Studying the display, he saw weapons emplacements, hanger bays, vital infrastructure being destroyed. The REF were picking the Death Star apart from ranges his mighty battle station could not reach using his own weapons.

He turned around quickly to look outside and saw the second massive wave of missiles incoming to strike the battle station.

The station shuddered again as the second wave of missiles began hitting the Death Star. The shields held initially from the first barrage but they were rapidly weakening. This second barrage broke through most of the shields causing major damage throughout the station. Then once more, the fleet of REF ships opened fire with their particle beam and combination cannons followed up by more missile fire and soon the battle station was taking direct hits to the equatorial trench and other critical areas.

Damage reports kept calling in, the ships engines were being precisely targeted, hanger bays were also taking fire and unable to launch fighters. But, the Death Star was able to deploy a sizable amount of its TIE fighter complement, mainly from the hanger bays on far side of the battle station. Hundreds of TIES screamed into space to face the enemy fleet but were instead intercepted by the strange fighters from the REF ships that were easily destroying the TIE fighter squadrons.

Grand Moff Tarkin was listening to the damage reports and he saw the readouts. Staying here was pointless. He had to order a withdrawal. He pointed at the navigational officer. "Plot a hyperspace jump immediately, get us out of here, now! Anywhere will do, just get us out of here!" The officer scrambled to carry out his orders.

Tarkin called out, "Communications, send a priority signal to Imperial High Command that we are under attack by the REF and they have joined with the Rebel Alliance! Inform them that the planet Alderaan has seceded from the Empire and has declared for the Rebellion! We are disengaging from the enemy as the station is taking heavy damage, Scramble multiple fleets to Alderaan at once, new location of DS-01 to follow. Send it!"

He walked over to Darth Vader who was still on his knees, muttering nonsense he could not hear over the noise in the Overbridge. "Lord Vader, I gave you an order! Get up! Get up and get to your TIE fighter! I need you to defend this battle station!"

Darth Vader was still kneeling, staring at the fallen body of the Princess. Her lifeless eyes expressing surprise at the moment of her death. She clearly didn't expect to be executed at that moment. The Force was in turmoil, screaming at him. He last felt these feelings when he led the slaughter of the Jedi Temple. He was reminded of when he killed the younglings in the Jedi Council chambers. Vader continued to stare at her eyes. "Who are you?", he whispered. Then he whispered again, "What have I done?"

The communication officer had raced to complete his task. A moment later he called out, "Governor, the enemy is jamming all frequencies, we are unable to send a transmission!"

Turning away from Darth Vader with a scowl, Governor Tarkin rushed to another station to order a shuttle launch to Imperial Center.

On the bridge of the SDF-3, Admiral Hunter watched the battle proceed. He watched the battle through the holo tank, issuing orders as needed but for the most part he left the battle in the hands of his subordinates.

Silently he saw the Millennium Falcon streak through the battle, destroying TIE Fighters with ease and moving faster than ever thanks to the modifications that its pilot and owner Han Solo along with his First Mate Chewbacca had made to it using some Robotechnology that Admiral Hunter had approved of in sharing with the former Corellian smuggler. Han Solo had been stealthily approaching the Death Star to land a strike team to rescue Princess Leia but after her death, Rick had recalled them and told them that they would be used for TIE Fighter suppression. Rick was impressed with Captain Solo's flying skills, in some ways they reminded him of his own back when he flew a VF-1. Now he had to look at the overall battle now.

With a swipe of his hand, the holo tank displayed another portion of the battle. After observing for several seconds, he gave new orders.

One of his officers reported that about fifty TIE Fighters were on an attack vector, attempting to attack the SDF-3. They quickly ordered the warship's formidable anti-fighter defenses activated.

The TIEs had no chance. A couple pilots managed to scream just before they died from being shot down by the SDF-3's defensive weapons. They all exploded like tiny little suns.

The Robotech fleet continued to fire everything they had at the battle station, waves of conventional and Reflex missiles continued to streak across space and hit the battle station, their speed so fast that the gunners accuracy at shooting them down was woefully inadequate. Particle beam and combination beams fired at a rate that the Imperials own turbolasers could not match even if they could fire at the enemy ships.

Synchro-Cannons were firing at a faster rate than the Reflex Cannons but the damage to the station these two weapon systems dealt was huge. Very large holes that cored through the massive structure were becoming more and more visible. The station was turning into a giant ball of Swiss cheese. The REF fleet was still outside of firing range and the battle station's turbolasers were being used to try and shoot down the incoming missiles instead of being used against that fleet. The Imperials were quickly losing those turbolasers to the REF's vicious weapons fire as they were rapidly destroying them.

Another Reflex missile salvo was fired from the SDF-3, the missiles firing at new target coordinates given by Admiral Hunter.

On the Overbridge Tarkin shouted, "Get us into hyperspace now! Hurry up!"

A junior officer replied, "Unable to jump into hyperspace!"

Another officer replied, "Governor, the shuttle to Imperial Center is prepping for launch!"

Tarkin had ordered that a shuttle be launched immediately to Imperial Center directly to Imperial High Command since transmissions were being jammed.

Tarkin rushed over to the navigation station and demanded, "Why haven't we jumped to hyperspace!?"

Before the poor officer could reply someone yelled, "Incoming! It's going to hit us! Shields are down!"

The Governor swiveled to look outside the massive screen and saw multiple missiles streaking directly for the Overbridge.

Darth Vader stood up slowly, he kept whispering "The Force...I have done something...There...is...a...great disturbance...the Force."

Vader reached out with his hands and with The Force as he saw the incoming missiles streaking directly for the Overbridge.

Tarkin screamed in rage.

Three Reflex Missiles directly hit the Death Star's Overbridge. Even if the explosion hadn't killed everyone, being forced out into space without the benefit of a vacc suit would kill them shortly after.

The battle continued for another ten minutes as the fleet under Admiral Rick Hunter pounded the Death Star with beam weapons, Reflex cannons, Synchro-Cannons, and missiles until finally someone aboard one of the auxiliary control stations managed to broadcast a signal in the clear that they wished to surrender.

Admiral Hunter accepted that offer and gave strict orders for the Imperials to follow or the REF fleet would commence firing again and this time, they would not stop firing until the station was no more.

The battle was over. The few surviving TIE Fighters were escorted to land aboard the escort ships of the REF fleet and the pilots were taken into custody. Now, it was time to begin taking the survivors aboard the battle station into custody and render aid to those that needed it, and ultimately destroying the damaged battle station once everyone aboard was removed from the station.

Luckily for the REF, the shuttle that Governor Tarkin had ordered to be launched was destroyed in the hanger bay by multiple particle beams that destroyed the hanger bay right before it launched.

"Anakin."

Nothing.

"Anakin."

Nothing.

"Vader."

Darth Vader opened his eyes. He found himself still in his life support suit. Looking around, he recognized the surroundings. He was in the Jedi Temple, specifically the Room of 1,000 Fountains. This was shocking to be sure, but what was equally shocking was the figure sitting cross-legged, meditating in front of him.

Disbelief, shock, confusion, many emotions were flowing through him.

The man looked no older than the day he had died on Naboo. Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn greeted, "Hello Anakin, or Vader as you prefer to be called now."

It took a moment but finally Vader found his voice. "You're dead! What is going on?"

Master Qui-Gon gave a sad countenance on his face. "Yes, Vader, I am dead, as are you. I've managed to make it possible for us to have this conversation. We don't have much time. The Death Star will be destroyed by the strange visitors from another Galaxy. In fact, the battle is almost over."

Qui-Gon shook his head in sadness. "Vader, you've done many, many evil things since you turned to the Dark Side, all in the name of the monster you call Master, but what you did a few minutes ago is something that you will never be forgiven for. Padme will never forgive you."

Vader snarled and reached for his lightsaber and tried to ignite it. Nothing. "Don't you dare say that name! As to what I have done, I killed a traitor to the Empire! Tarkin signed her death warrant, she was-"

Qui-Gon interrupted. "She was your daughter."

Vader stopped.

Realization. The Force. He felt it now. The truth of those words. He no longer had blood flowing through his veins but he felt a tremendous wave of cold through his body.

But, Vader did not believe. He would not believe those words. Qui-Gon was lying to him. It just was not possible!

Vader fell to his knees.

Striking the ground with his fists Vader yelled, "No. No! Noooo! That's not possible! Padme died before she gave birth! I killed her! My Master said so! I didn't mean to kill her, but she died before giving birth! You lie!"

Master Jinn continued to sit in his meditative pose but he shook his head sadly. "Padme was able to give birth before dying of a broken heart. The heart you broke when you turned to the Dark Side. She gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. She named both babies before becoming One With The Force. She named the boy Luke, and the daughter she named," Vader whispered "Leia" at the same time Qui-Gon said her name. "To protect them from you and your Master, Master Yoda decided that they should be raised separately and in secret. Leia was raised on Alderaan where she followed in her birth mother's footsteps, getting into politics, becoming a Senator, fighting for justice and equality. The boy was taken to Tatooine."

Vader's head was downward, looking at the ground as his body shook with sobs but he raised his head to look at Qui-Gon when he said "Tatooine"

Qui-Gon gave a gentle smile, "Yes, Vader your son was taken to Tatooine where he was raised by Owen and Beru Lars. Ironic, yes?"

Darth Vader was silent.

Qui-Gon said, "You realize the truth? Searched your feelings?"

Vader couldn't cry anymore, but now, his body shook with the tearless sobs and cries he was making.

With great sadness upon him, Qui-Gon said, "I had such hopes for you, Anakin. I had believed you were The Chosen One, but it seems I was wrong." Qui-Gon stood up. He walked over to Vader and placed a hand on Vader's shoulder. "It would seem, that your son is the true Chosen One. He will be the one to bring balance to the Force. He will destroy your Master, and your Master will join you in the chaos and the madness that is the Dark Side of the Force."

Vader stammered, "I ne-nev-never would have killed my own daughter had I known."

With sadness expressed upon his face still Qui-Gon Jinn said, "You know that's not true, Vader. You're a Sith, you've been a Sith for twenty years. You would have to face your son or your daughter or both in a battle eventually. They would be trained as Jedi, they would have faced you, and either they would win and destroy you, or you would win and kill your own children. Such is the way of the Sith. Of course, had you killed your children in this manner, Padme would still never forgive you. She does not forgive you now for killing Leia. Before she died, she believed there was still good in you. Sadly, she was wrong."

Vader asked, "My son? He lives?"

Qui-Gon nodded. "He does. He has started on the path of becoming a Jedi and he will defeat your Master. He will redeem the name of Skywalker."

Walking away from Vader, Qui-Gon Jinn looked at Vader with sadness, guilt, and resolve. "I'm afraid our time is up, Vader. I must return to The Force, and your fate has been sealed. "Goodbye Vader, goodbye Anakin, I wish, I wish you had made better choices."

With that, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn seemed to turn intangible, his physical form becoming transparent as if he was a ghost, fading away slowly until he was gone. Then the Room of 1,000 Fountains, one of the most beautiful rooms of the Jedi Temple began to fade away and Vader found himself alone in a black void.

The black void was soon replaced by a violent maelstrom, a vortex of energies, and howling noise. Darth Vader recognized it immediately.

The Dark Side of the Force.

Try as he might, Darth Vader could not escape nor could he keep it at bay, nor could Darth Vader take control of it, and he was swallowed by the gigantic storm, becoming nothing more than a small part of the hurricane that was the Dark Side of the Force.

Imperial Center

Formerly Known as Coruscant

Imperial Palace – The Private Chambers of The Emperor

It was very late at night when Emperor Sheev Palpatine, secretly known as Darth Sideous picked himself up from the floor slowly and unsteadily at first. His body was covered in a light sheen of sweat. His breathing was rapid and he took great lungfuls of air into his lungs as he stood. He clutched the part of his robes over his chest, directly over his heart where the painful feeling of being stabbed was beginning to recede and fade away.

He had felt the sensations he was experiencing right now once before, many years ago when first Apprentice, Darth Maul had been killed so long ago on the planet Naboo. As unbelievable it was, there was no denying it; his Apprentice Darth Vader was dead.

He reached out into the Force to find his Apprentice as he refused to believe that his Apprentice was dead but there was nothing. The Force Bond between Lord Vader and himself was gone. He could no longer sense his Apprentice out there in the Galaxy. Using the Force, the Emperor pulled his cane to his hand, he began walking slowly from his private chambers to his throne room.

He moved slowly but steadily, his strength returning to him in a trickle. He walked into his throne room and slowly climbed to his throne, sitting on it with an exhausted flop.

He punched in a series of keys on his throne but nothing happened. Scowling, he tried again but again, nothing happened. With a growl he punched in another set of keys and a hologram appeared. It was one of his Admirals at Imperial High Command.

The Emperor hissed, "Admiral, where is Governor Tarkin? Where is my Death Star? I am unable to contact my battle station or Governor Tarkin directly."

The hologram Admiral appeared slightly nervous but he cleared his throat and said, "Your majesty, we had received a message from Governor Tarkin stating that the final checks on the Death Star were complete and he was going to perform a full power weapons test on a planet. However, he did not inform us of which planet he was going to test the primary weapon on." There was a brief pause then he resumed, "Perhaps the Death Star is still traveling through hyperspace?"

The Emperor was not happy with that response. "Lord Vader was still with Governor Tarkin as of the last report?"

The Admiral nodded his head vigorously, "Yes, your majesty."

The Emperor was deep in thought then he said, "I want my Death Star found. Inform all sectors that any sightings of it are to be reported to Imperial Center at once. Do everything you can to contact Governor Tarkin immediately, as I must speak with him most urgently."

The Admiral bowed and said, "I shall see to it at once, my lord."

The signal disconnected.

The Emperor reached out into the Force and tried once more to use his powers to see into the future but try as he might, he was denied again. He growled in frustration. He was angry, he was furious, his rage grew as he did not know how or who had killed his apprentice and now his Death Star and the man in charge of it were missing.

The Force's screams were gone now. The disturbance in the Force he had felt shortly before his Apprentice's demise was fading away, like ripples in a pond.

Too many questions with no answers. He rose from his throne and walked down the steps to stand in the center of the room.

His anger, his rage had grown to a boiling point and he unleashed a barrage of Force Lightning upon both of the red clad Imperial Guards that had been standing guard at the front of the throne room. Both guardsmen screamed in agony before collapsing to the ground, writhing and screaming in pain until they died.

Then he turned his rage upon the throne room itself, using the Force Lightning to destroy various objects within the room itself. Screaming in his rage, he continued to destroy everything.

His Death Star was missing.

Governor Tarkin was also missing.

His Apprentice was dead.

Things were not proceeding as he had foreseen.

A courtier walked in. He managed to say two words before being blasted by Darth Sideous's Force Lightning, the man screaming in agony before finally dying in excruciating pain.

This third death managed to satiate the Emperor's thirst for blood and suffering so he stopped his rampage. The Emperor stood in the center of the throne room taking deep breaths and trying to calm down. After a few minutes, there was a beeping sound from his throne. The Emperor turned, raised his hand and using The Force he flipped the appropriate switch.

The hologram of a different admiral appeared.

"What is it?", he asked harshly.

The admiral bowed and said, "Your majesty, new information has just come into light. I am afraid, the news is not good."

The man looked extremely nervous.

"Then out with it. Have you found my Death Star?"

The man's nervousness seemed to increase he stammered, "Y-y-ye-yes, yo-you-your majesty." He took a breath. "It, it, it ha-ha-has been destroyed. Governor Tarkin and Lord Vader have been reported to be among the deceased."

The throne room became extremely cold. Emperor Palpatine's eyes narrowed. He hissed, "What?"

At that moment Mas Amedda walked in he ignored the bodies on the floor striding to the throne. Ignoring the admiral's hologram he bowed formally, rose and spoke, "Your majesty, a crisis situation is brewing throughout your Empire"

The Emperor turned his head to look at Mas Amedda then looked at the admiral. "Explain. Now."

He could feel the Dark Side, as if it was almost laughing at him this time. The Force was in flux and it was making him angry that it would not submit to him as before.

The admiral stepped back and disappeared from the hologram camera and the previous admiral that the Emperor had spoken to appeared in view. He seemed to be focused, at least more focused than the other man.

With a clearing of his throat the admiral said, "Reports have come in, from Alderaan. Apparently Governor Tarkin was planning on using the Death Star to destroy the planet as a demonstration of its full power. But before that demonstration, Senator Leia Organa of Alderaan was executed by Lord Vader on Governor Tarkin's orders in a live transmission to the Queen. In addition to broadcasting to the Queen of Alderaan, Governor Tarkin was speaking to the REF. This transmission was apparently recorded by the Alderaanian government and it has since been spread throughout the Galactic Holonet by the Queen."

As Emperor Palpatine heard this news, he could feel it in The Force the truth of these words. It angered him immensely. As he was trying to come to terms with this report the admiral continued.

"The Queen then declared that Alderaan was not a member of the Rebel Alliance but she proclaimed that with the death of her child and planetary senator that was done without a trial that Alderaan was seceding from the Galactic Empire and declaring itself to be part of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. The Queen also declared that Alderaan would be the first planet to be part of the Republic once more."

Mas Amedda chimed in, "Reports are coming in from other Moffs, they are reporting of revolts throughout their sectors. The Outer Rim is more affected but there are uprisings in the Middle Rim and Core Worlds."

At that moment the hologram shifted as the Admiral played the transmission between Grand Moff Tarkin, Queen Breha of Alderaan, her husband, and Admiral Rick Hunter of the REF.

He watched coldly as the talks between his governor, the Queen, and this mysterious admiral progressed. He showed no reaction to the death of the senator, but his anger was simmering behind the facade he presented. As the Queen had spoke her defiance, his anger grew to new heights.

The broadcast ended with Admiral Hunter's message of defiance and the Imperial admiral reappeared. "Mas Amedda is correct, your majesty. We are receiving calls for reinforcements from across the galaxy and we are being stretched thin."

A sheet was passed to the admiral by someone out of camera. The man read the sheet and looked uncomfortable.

Emperor Palpatine hissed, "What is it?"

"Corellia has announced that it is seceding from the Empire, joining the planet Alderaan in its declaration for the Rebel Alliance and the Republic. The Queen of Naboo has been overthrown, a full uprising among the people is underway. Kuat is reporting an uprising, as is Centares, Malastare, Serrano, the list is over a dozen planets more than the previous report. Now, we are receiving reports of uprisings being reported here at Imperial Center, forces have been dispatched to deal with it, but they are calling for reinforcements."

Emperor Palpatine was beyond furious. His Death Star destroyed, his Apprentice was dead, one of his governors was dead. One of his worlds dared to secede from his Empire and it was spreading like wild. This was unacceptable.

Snarling with fury, Emperor Palatine interrupted the admiral's words. "Get this rebellion under control. I want a fleet of as many star destroyers you can assemble dispatched to Alderaan at once. They are to bring the planet under Imperial control at once, and I am authorizing a Base Delta Zero if that is what it takes! I want Queen Breha arrested as well as anyone who supported her brought before me in chains. Get it done."

The admiral bowed but commented, "Your majesty, this fleet of twenty ships destroyed the Death Star! A fleet of star destroyers….ack...ugh." The admiral clutched his throat in a desperate attempt to breath.

Emperor Palpatine glared at the admiral as he used The Force to choke the man. "I am not interested in excuses. Bring Alderaan back into Imperial control, send as many star destroyers as you must, but destroy that fleet of ships from this "REF" and tell the admiral in command that he best not fail me."

The Emperor released the admiral and disconnected the hologram. With a snarl he glared at Mas Amedda. "Get this uprising on my capital under control. Get out."

The Chagrian man rushed out of the throne room.

Silence permeated the room. The Emperor's fury was back in full force. He walked out to a balcony, opening the doors and stood outside. Raising his arms to the sky he called upon The Force and started a lightning storm, his powers overwhelming the weather control satellites as he brought about a powerful storm over the capital city. He poured his rage, his fury, his hate into the storm and soon the storm was in full fury, fully engulfing the capital city itself.

He would not be denied. He would see to it that this rebellion would be squashed. All planets that dared to secede would be severely punished, starting with Alderaan. He would have the killers of Lord Vader and Governor Tarkin punished as well. His Death Star would be rebuilt, redesigned to be more powerful than ever before.

He would have his revenge. As he did once before so many years ago when he killed Jedi Master Mace Windu he screamed into the heavens, "Unlimited Power!"
