Darkness, darkness everywhere
nothing else to see,
everything has disappeared.
Where is the light?
Although you know it will burn,
you must have it.
You crave the light.
The darkness floats around you,
what else are you to do?
You must find the light!
It calls to your blood,
you are not yet ready,
not for the ever-lasting darkness.
If you stay,
you shall be swallowed.
You know the light will burn,
but you must have it!
It will leave a mark,
but it will be worth it.
You eyes will once again,
become sparkling jewels.
The glitter like emeralds,
when they are in the light,
yet are mysteriously empty.
If you escape to the burning light,
you know that they will
be empty no more.
The darkness presses in
you gasp for air.
You pray that salvation
will come quickly.
For you can bear this pain no more.
The air is gone
you cannot breath.
You hear him calling.
He has found you.
Yet you still fear,
what if the one
who has stolen
you from the light,
what if that man comes?
You see the gleaming gun,
and scream for someone to help.
Your eyes are closed,
you hear the crack,
and know that someone
will not leave this place alive.
You hope your captor is dead,
yet do not dare to hope.
Yet what next you hear,
is his sweet, sweet voice,
and know that everything
will be fine.
The voice asks,
"Bones, are you alright?"
