So far seemed that distant star.

So high that highest peak.

I had never thought to come so far,

This place seemed much too bleak.

But now I stand on this highest of lands,

Gazing off to provinces unknown,

And whereas it all seemed in my hands,

Now I long for bed and home.

But long I have yet to travel here,

Before I find food and rest,

And when that time has gathered near,

I shall seek that distant crest.

My journey here will never end,

I shall witness era's and ages,

Exploring still that secret bend,

And keep turning these pages.
