-- This begins from where the last episode left off. --
Lu pushes Woody away. She just can't take it. She has no idea of where he stands in this relationship, if it could even be considered that. This entire triangle of Jordan – Woody – Lu has her baffled and she can't handle it. She won't let him get the best of her. She's the shrink, so how come Woody is playing mind games with her?
Woody backs off, rejected. He's not understanding this situation. He thought girls want honesty and all that other sentimental crap, but when he tells Lu how he feels, she doesn't like his answer. Women.
"What's wrong, Lu? What's going on?" He moves away, unsure of what his next move should be.
"You're asking me that? I don't get this Woody! I don't get any of this!" She turns away from him, unable to look at his mesmerizing blue eyes without crumbling.
"What don't you get?" Woody asks with confusion.
"Us! This relationship. If it can even be called that." She knows it was a low blow, but she had to get it out. She doesn't like to play second fiddle. Lu needs to know now whose number one in his life, no more worrying about Jordan and what might happen if she comes back into his life. If Woody wants something to come of them, he has to prove to her she doesn't have to be concerned about his friendship and past with Jordan, because that is the last thing she needs; her own self – issues.
"Come on, don't say things like that, hun. You know I'm here to be with you, the person I want to be with. If I wanted to be with Jordan I'd be there, with her. Or at least begging for her, but I'm not. I'm – here – for – you. I don't know how else to prove it." Woody moves close to Lu, putting his arms around her waist as she stares at the door beside them. He's found someone other than Jordan that he wants to spend his time with and he doesn't want to lose that. "I'm sorry that my past with Jordan bothers you but it's over between us. There's nothing left and now I'm trying to move on. And I found you. And that makes me happy – more than happy." He rubs her arm, in an earnest attempt to show compassion and a loving attitude.
"I don't know if I can believe that." Lu turns around to face Woody. She is determined to make her point and him caressing her back and arms will only prevent her from standing her ground.
"What?" Woody is astonished, he doesn't understand what has got Lu so upset. He takes a step towards her, however Lu puts her hand up to stop him and looks at the floor.
"Before you come back here, or talk to me again for other than case related issues, I want you to think. I want you to figure out what – or who – it is that you really want. I don't want to be some sort of rebound, or distraction, or replacement for Jordan. If you want a relationship with me, you're going to have to prove it." Lu finally looks upwards into his eyes. His are searching hers for an answer, or explanation, something.
"I – "
"No, Woody. I think it's best if you just leave. Please, just go." She opens the door and walks away. She doesn't want to see him leave, but she knows he has to.
"Goodbye Lu. Sweet dreams." Woody walks out more confused than ever. Somehow, Jordan has caused problems for him in a relationship that doesn't pertain to her. No matter how hard he tries to get her out of his life, she always weasels her way back in. He needs to forget about her and fix things with Lu. But how?
