Loved the request for an Erin & Will heart to heart - ask and you shall receive

"This is so good," Erin praised, her mouth full of Jay's chocolate chip blueberry muffin, "Really, babe. Who knew you were such a good baker?"

"I'm not just a pretty face," Jay replied, taking a bite of his own creation, "This is pretty good though. I mean, for my third attempt."

Erin took another grateful bite, "I'm actually hungry."

"That's great!" Jay exclaimed, trying to quell how excited he was that his girl actually had an appetite. Hank had brought up how little Erin was eating, and while he knew that his sergeant was only looking out for her, Jay wanted to prove that he could handle helping his partner by himself. "I'm so glad to hear that, babe."

She chewed thoughtfully, "These would taste really good with coffee."

Jay gave a sad smile, "It would. But Will sent us a list of stuff to avoid while you're on these new meds and while your stomach heals, and unfortunately coffee is at the top of the list."

"Really?" Erin pouted, "I can't have coffee?"

"Sorry, Er." Jay rounded the kitchen and put a gentle hand on his girl's shoulder, "If it makes it easier, I'll give up coffee too. So you won't be alone."

She looked up with a wry smile. "I-I can't ask you to do that. Not since you are literally up at every waking hour tryin' to get me better. I'd feel too bad if I took coffee from you as well."

Jay chuckled as she leaned into his embrace, "Okay babe, but say the word and it's gone. Same with any citrus or anything else on Will's list."

She nodded against his chest, "Can we watch a movie or somethin'? I don't want to go back to bed just yet."

"Of course," Jay kissed the crown of her head, "How about if I clean up in here while you pick something out?"

"I actually get to pick the movie?" Erin feigned shock, "Jay Halstead, self-proclaimed movie buff, is letting me pick the movie?"

"I always let you pick!" Jay claimed, "Literally every movie we watch, you pick."

"Nuh-uh," Erin shook her head, "You give me choices, Jay. And you always grumble if I pick something that isn't up to your standards."

He chuckled, "Okay, this time you pick. Anything you want, babe."

Erin wiggled her eyebrows and turned for the couch. She took a few steps before stumbling, thankfully caught by Jay's arms. "Shit," she mumbled, "Thanks."

"You alright?" Jay tucked some of Erin's mused hair behind her ears, concerned for his girl ramping up ten-fold.

"I'm just kinda woozy," she admitted, gratefully accepting her partner's assistance to the couch, "I guess why they say you can't operate any heavy machinery on these things."

Jay managed a smile as he settled his girl onto the couch. "Do you feel sick at all? Any pain?" Erin shook her head.

"I'm okay, babe, promise. Hand me the remote though, please?" She accepted the remote with slightly shaking fingers, "Chick flick coming right up."

"Does your head hurt?" Jay furrowed his brow as Erin pressed her fingers to her temples. Erin had selected an early 2000s romantic comedy which honestly wasn't as terrible as Jay had been expecting. He wasn't really all that focused on the movie, but mainly on his girl.

"Yeah," she sighed, settling in closer to his embrace. She didn't say anything else as the movie played on, but Jay wasn't about to let it go.

"I know it's a little soon but we can probably give you your next dose or-"

"It's not from anything that happened to me," Erin interrupted and let out a cough, "I've had this headache before." She avoided his gaze by glancing down to her hands, "It's um, withdrawal. From the narcotics and whatever Will gave me yesterday."

Jay nodded wordlessly. His heart ached for the fact the Erin recognized the symptom, and that she was going through it again. "I'm sorry babe," he murmured, leaning down to kiss the crown of her head.

"'s okay," she mumbled in response, "It'll be gone in a day or so. Guess my body recognized all that crap from my past life."

"Mm," Jay moved his hand from draped around her shoulders to the back of her head and started a gentle scalp massage. Almost immediately Erin's eyelids drooped in appreciation.

"Feels good," Erin let out a breath, relaxing with each passing second, "Wish you coulda been there when I was detoxing before. It's helping so much."

"I wish I could have been there too," he mused, continuing to rub his fingers into her scalp gently, "I like to think younger me was just thinking about you."

"Dreaming about dating a scrawny junkie detoxing on the bathroom floor?" Erin scoffed, "Yeah right."

"Dreaming about my dream girl," Jay insisted, "Sixteen year old Jay didn't care about past mistakes that, and neither do I. It's you that we love. Every bit of you."

"Hey tiger, how are you holding up?" Will waltzed into the apartment in his scrubs bearing two large pizzas and a six pack, "Is my big brother taking good care of you?"

"Yes," Erin rolled her eyes and let out a slight cough as Jay closed the door behind Will, "You might be in the running for my favorite Halstead if you brought a pepperoni pizza."

Will wiggled his eyebrows and set the pies on the kitchen counter, "Suck it, Jay."

Jay snorted, "I didn't realize you were coming over man, I thought you were going out tonight. You know, hit up the usual Will Halstead Tuesday watering holes."

"They'll still be there next two-for-one Tuesday," Will shrugged, opening the pizza box, "I thought I'd come watch the game here on your superior television. Plus, it gave me the opportunity to check up on my favorite patient."

"Your favorite patient is still coughing but being stubborn about pain relief today," Jay issued a pointed stare to his girlfriend, "Something about not wanting to be loopy."

They'd spent the rest of the afternoon snuggled on the couch, Jay continuing the gentle head massage to hopefully rid Erin of the marathon headaches she recognized from her past life. She'd dozed in and out and was starting to feel more pain in her lungs and stomach, but was putting off the next dose of pain meds.

Erin scowled, "I hate feeling like an invalid, Jay," she retorted, folding her arms across her chest, "I can barely walk on those new meds."

"But you're in pain, babe," he said gently, perching on the edge of the couch, "And I really hate seeing you suffer."

"I don't want you to have to deal with drugged up me," she sighed, running her fingers through her hair, "I remember last night, and it wasn't pretty."

Jay smiled softly, "I know, Er, but watching you in pain is far less fun for me." His smile widened as Erin's lips quirked upwards, "We can even watch another one of your rom coms."

"You liked it," she shot back, a grimace immediately replacing the smile on her lips as she coughed. Jay gave a knowing look and she sighed. "Fine. I'll take them." She held out her palm expectantly.

"Pizza first," Will piped up, sliding a slice onto a plate, "These have gotta be taken with food. Has Nurse Halstead not been following my instructions?"

"He has," Erin assured him, "Down to the no coffee rule."

"Good," Will replied, "Three bites and my assistant here will locate your meds."

Jay rolled his eyes at his brother, but was also grateful for the levity he brought into the household.

Will sat himself down in the chair beside Erin and launched into an extensive story about a patient in the ED who had swallowed a bunch of stones for a fish tank. The ridiculous story was a welcome distraction as the pain medication settled in and Erin relaxed. "Feelin' a little bit better now, tiger?" Will asked, noting how her eyes had glazed over and her pained grimace turned into a giggly smile. She nodded.

"I love pepperoni," she said seriously, plucking one off her piece of pizza and putting it into her mouth, "And I love Jay. 'Cause he eats my crust."

"He's a regular hoover," Will chuckled, "Growing up, he'd always eat my crust."

"It's objectively delicious," Jay argued, passing Will a plate with two slices and taking a seat on the couch beside his partner, "I don't know why people don't like it."

"Jay made muffins today," Erin informed Will, "I said I wanted one, and he made a hundred."

"Wow. Sounds like you had quite the day." Will grinned at his brother, "Jay's terrible at baking."

"I am not," he exclaimed, "It might have taken a few tries, but my muffins were pretty good."

Erin nodded in confirmation, "He's a good househusband."

Will snorted. "He is, isn't he? Maybe he can get you to take your meds on schedule by crushin' 'em up and putting them in one of his muffins."

At that, Erin dropped her plate of pizza, causing it to fall on the carpet in front of her. "I-I don't want him to do that," she said, lower lip beginning to tremble, "I'll take them when I'm supposed to, I'm sorry."

Will and Jay exchanged glances. "He's just kidding, babe," Jay said, placing his half eaten slice of pizza on the coffee table, "We wouldn't give you anything you didn't consent to."

Tears that had welled in Erin's eyes leaked out of the corners and trickled down her cheeks. "I'm sorry, Erin, I didn't mean to upset you," Will apologized, wracked with guilt that he'd upset his friend.

Erin shook her head, "No, no I shouldn't be upset," she took a shuddery breath as Jay wiped her cheek with a napkin, "I didn't mean to get scared."

"Scared, babe?" Jay furrowed his brow and exchanged another glance with his brother.

"That's what Charlie did," she whispered, more tears making their way down her cheeks, "When-when I was down there. He'd put shit into water or a b-bagel and make me eat it."

"I'm so sorry," Will apologized again, "I shouldn't have been so careless."

"'s not your fault," Erin murmured, immediately folding into Jay's arms, craving his comfort as the recollection of Charlie's tactics washed over her. He gently stroked her hair while Will cleaned up the spilled pizza, still feeling incredibly guilty. "Don't leave!" she exclaimed as Will headed to dispose of the pizza that had been on the floor, "I-I don't want you to go just because I got upset."

"He's not going anywhere," Jay assured her, "Just getting you another slice of pizza."

Erin exhaled in relief, "I'm so glad Will moved to Chicago. We got doctor in the family."

Jay chuckled and kissed the crown of Erin's head. "Me too."

"Speaking of being a doctor," Will approached the couch with a fresh slice of pizza, "I know I've upset you today, but in the next few days, we do need to take you back to the hospital for an x-ray of your lungs, just to make sure things are progressing in the right direction."

"You can't do it here?" Erin whimpered, tightening her grip on Jay's shirt, "Like you did my stitches?"

"I'm afraid not, tiger," Will looked apologetically to his brother, "But I talked to your attending, and normally they'd want you in tomorrow for a quick check up, but he gave me the okay to do it here. So I can save you one trip this week, but I can't bring the whole x-ray. I did ask."

"Okay," Erin exhaled and glanced up at Jay. "C-can Will be there? When we go back to the hospital?"

Jay nodded and smiled at his brother, who appeared relieved, "Sure, babe. Whatever you want."

"That means you'll come back tomorrow too, right?" Erin looked expectantly at Will, "Maybe tell me another Jay story?"

"Sure," Will chuckled, "I have a few decades worth of Jay stories."

"Halstead," Jay answered his phone on the first ring, grimacing at how Erin winced at the noise, "Daphne? Slow down…what? Okay, okay, just hang on." He turned to his brother and partner, both of whom were looking at him worriedly, "Er, you remember Daphne, the CI of mine?"

"The one with the drug dealer husband? Is she okay?" Erin's glassy eyes focused, "Does she need help?"

"Yeah," Jay nodded grimly, "He's got something going down, I think she needs to get to a woman's shelter."

"Go," Erin said quickly, "I-I'll be okay."

"I'll stay with Erin," Will piped up, recognizing that Erin shouldn't be left alone especially given how loopy the drugs could make her, "No worries."

"Thank you," Jay gave a grateful smile, "Daphne, stay where you are, okay? I'll be there in ten." He grabbed his jacket off the back of the kitchen chair. "I'll be back soon, babe, promise."

Erin nodded solemnly and bit down on her lip. "'s okay, babe. I'll be fine. Go help her."

"He'll be back," Will reiterated after the front door closed behind his brother, "Don't worry."

She let out a small cough and nodded, "I know, I just-" Erin paused, "I-I think I need him too much."

Will cocked his head to the side, "You've just been through something unimaginable, Erin. You're allowed to want to feel safe."

"It's not just that," she sighed, "I feel like I can't breathe when I wake up and I can't see him. And-and all I want to do is feel him next to me, all the time." She swallowed, "And watchin' him look after me is basically breaking my heart because he's so worried and I just keep falling apart." Tears filled her eyes as Will reached a hand out and placed it on her knee, "The last few days I was so shitty to him, and he was just trying to help. And now I can't do anything without him and he's been so strong and I'm literally always a mess."

"Er," Will shook his head, "Jay loves you, so much. And you needing him right now is to be expected. You've been there for him when no one else was, and you know things about him that I don't. You're everything to him, and seeing him while you were gone – he was an absolute wreck. And you needing to be with him is putting him back together as well."

"We haven't talked about it," Erin wiped her cheek, "About me being gone, and what it did to him." She looked up at Will, eyes wet with tears, "I-I know that I went through it, but Jay had to watch. And the worst part is, he went through it too, and all this is probably triggering him and reminding him about that."

Will nodded slowly, "He's really trying to take care of himself. Going to meetings, talking to people. And I'm sure when he's ready, and you're ready, the two of you can talk about everything. But right now, while you're healing, he's trying to take care of himself so he can take care of you."

"How come he's so good to me?" Erin asked, wiping her eyes again, "I-I was so horrible to him, and I've been emotional and sick and I can barely walk across the fucking apartment but he's so patient with me. And he made me muffins."

Will smiled, "That's my brother for you. Ever the good guy."

"You're a good guy too," Erin told him, "I know you and Jay have a history, but you keep showin' up for me. I mean, you literally sewed me up last night."

He chuckled, "I'd do anything for Jay, and that means I'd do anything for you."

"Can you take Jay's spot while he's being a good detective and helping a CI in need?" Erin asked, gesturing to the seat beside her, "Please? I've got this thing right now where I just need some contact, and you're a Halstead."

Will smiled kindly and resumed his brother's spot on the couch beside Erin. "This better?"

"Mm-hm," she replied, leaning against Will's shoulder. She preferred her boyfriend's chest, but his brother's shoulder was a good short-term solution.

When Jay returned, he couldn't help but smile at the scene in front of him. Erin was fast asleep on Will's shoulder, and his brother was clearly fighting sleep as well as they watched what appeared to be another one of Erin's favorite early 2000s movies. "Everything okay, man?" Will asked, turning his head to greet his brother.

Jay nodded tiredly and hung his coat on the hook. "Got her into the shelter, and let major crimes know about the tip. She should be safe for at least a few days, and I'll check up on her." He paused and glanced down at Erin's sleeping form, "She okay?"

Will nodded, "Contact," he explained, gesturing to Erin's presence on his shoulder, "Don't worry bro, she didn't trade up Halsteads."

Jay snorted and crouched in front of the couch, his girl's features serene from sleep, the medication finally allowing her some peace. "No nightmares?"

His brother shook his head, "Been here for this whole movie. I started the sequel actually. Not bad. Doesn't hold a candle to The Sandlot, but it'll do."

"Forgot how much you loved that movie," Jay mused, reaching out a careful hand to touch Erin's warm cheek, "I'll get her into bed." He frowned, "She needs her eight o'clock dose."

"Already done," Will confirmed, "Her cough is sounding better since yesterday too, which is a good sign."

Jay exhaled, "I'm glad. I'm hoping tomorrow she's still on the up because I think Al and Ruzek are going to come over to get her statement. Voight kinda pushed it off but given the bastard is still alive, we're going to need it."

"Ugh. I'm sorry," Will wrinkled his brow, "I can come over later in the day to check on her lungs and stitches, but just text me if anything happens, alright?"

"I really appreciate it," Jay offered a smile, "Really. For staying and for looking out for her. And she's so comfortable, it's adorable."

Will chuckled. "Yeah, but she really should be lying down as much as possible."

"Hey, babe," Jay stroked Erin's cheek, "I'm back, and I'm going to help you to bed now, okay?"

Erin stirred slightly against Will's shoulder. "Jay?" she mumbled, eyes cloudy with sleep and medicine, "W-where's Jay?"

"He's right here, tiger," Will gestured to his brother who was still crouched in front of them, "Jay's going to bring you to bed."

"Mm," she replied, widening her eyes slightly. When she caught sight of her partner, a sleepy smile spread across her lips. "Jay," she breathed, struggling to lean forward into his arms, "My Jay."

"Hey, baby," Jay held her closely when she leaned against his chest and inhaled as he pressed his nose to the top of her head, "Did you have a nice time with Will?"

"He's a good boy," Erin replied, her voice muffled by Jay's shirt, "'m glad you came back though."

"Let's get you into bed now, sound good?" Jay carefully rose from his squat on the floor, Erin still pressed against his chest, "You're really sleepy, huh?"

"Uh-huh," she murmured, exhaling as deep as her lungs would allow, "Will said he's comin' back tomorrow too."

"Mm," Jay nodded and carefully lifted Erin into his embrace, "He is. Maybe he'll bring dinner again."

"Jay?" Erin gently pressed her forefinger into her partner's bare chest. Her breath hitched when he didn't move and remained motionless against the sheets. "Jay!" She shook her shoulder, panic rising in her throat as Jay's features were still. He was cold. Had Charlie gotten him while she was sleeping? How had she not woken up?

"Jay!" Erin shrieked, the terror of a life without her partner flashing before her eyes, "Jay!"

"I'm here, Er. Come on back, you're dreaming." Jay's voice was calm despite her frantic wails. "Open your eyes, babe."

She shook her head and cracked open her eyes, immediately overwhelmed by the brightness in the room. She was on Jay's side of the bed, practically on top of him as he continued to speak to her in a soothing tone. He was stroking her cheek with one hand, trying to pull her back to the present. Erin glanced down at her shaking palms and saw red marks on her partner's bare chest. "Did-did I?" she stuttered, barely able to comprehend her own actions. She'd hurt her partner in a frenzied nightmare and here he was, still trying to calm her down.

Jay furrowed his brow and glanced down. "Oh, no babe, no, no. That's not from you."

"What?" she choked out, her airways tightening with each breath, "What happened?"

"Last night, when I brought Daphne, the CI of mine, to the shelter, there was a run in with her husband. I'm fine," he said quickly, "I had Atwater meet me, so I had back up, but he got a punch in. I'm totally fine."

"I-I thought you were dead," Erin gasped, breath not coming any easier with Jay's admission, "You weren't m-moving."

"You were sleeping, babe," Jay assured her, continuing to run his thumb over her cheek, "I've been awake for a bit now just watching you. You had a nightmare that escalated really quickly."

At Jay's statement, Erin collapsed on top of her partner in a heap of tears, desperate to feel her partner's warm skin on hers, desperate to feel the rise and fall of his chest. "I'm sorry," she wept, "I thought, I thought I hurt you."

Jay shook his head sadly and held his partner closer. "No, no, babe. I'm here, I'm alright. I'm worried about you and those stitches though, and I need you to get a little more oxygen, okay?"

Erin crumbled into his shoulder, her breath coming out in short wheezes. "Can you take your inhaler for me, please? It would make me feel so much better," Jay tried, reaching blindly on his night table for Erin's inhaler.

She nodded and accepted the inhaler, the immediate relief evident on her face as the medication dispersed in her lungs. She sagged against her partner yet again, overwhelmed by how quickly her emotions had shifted. "S-sorry," she stuttered, her body still trembling from the remnants of the nightmare.

"I'm just glad you're okay," Jay whispered into her hair, grateful to feel the contact of his partner against his bare skin, "When you're breathing a bit easier, I'm going to get some more of the pain medication, sound good?"

"Mm," Erin replied, realizing immediately how much her stomach was hurting, "C-can I come?"

"Of course," Jay kissed the top of his partner's mused hair, "I'd keep you attached to my hip if you'd let me."

Erin let out a snort and exhaled, her lungs finally open enough to allow for the needed oxygen. "I'm gonna miss you when you get to go back to work."

Jay swallowed, forgetting that Hank had gifted him the extra days off to take care of his girl, but those days were passing quickly. "We'll figure it out, babe," he promised, "Don't worry too much, okay?"

"I heard you talkin' with Will. While I was sleeping," Erin mumbled into Jay's shoulder, "I was just waking up but I gotta give my statement today, don't I?"

He swallowed again, "Um, yeah. Hank and I were putting it off until you were feeling a bit better, but last night Al called to tell me Charlie's still in a coma, so he and Ruzek were going to come over today to take your statement. I was going to wait to tell you til you were awake, I-I didn't want to spring it on you last night but-"

"'s okay," she assured him, "I-I knew it was coming. But I think that means I gotta wait on the pills. I don't want to be foggy at all." Erin offered a small smile, "I can hang on."

"Are you sure?" Jay furrowed his brow, "I don't want you to be in any pain."

She shrugged and settled closer. "Does that mean I can stay here with you a little longer?"

Jay chuckled. "It does. But it also means I'm going to tell Al and Ruzek to come over on the earlier side so we can get you feeling and breathing a bit easier. Will's also going to come back to take a listen to those lungs."

"Least it's not the hospital today," Erin grumbled.

"One hurdle at a time," Jay threaded his fingers through his partner's hair with one hand and sent a quick text to Al with the other, "I'll be here for every step, okay?"

"'m glad I have you," she whispered, doing her best to keep the grimace off her face as a wave of pain descended, "So glad."

"Hey, Erin," Al greeted, wisely keeping his distance as he entered the apartment at Jay's nod, "How are you feeling?"

"Like I had my gut ripped open," she shrugged dejectedly, "But it's better every day, I guess."

Al nodded, not sure how to respond to the detective's honesty. "Well, Ruzek and I are here to take your statement about what happened."

"I-I know how this works." Erin waved her hand flippantly but instinctively scooted back on the couch at her teammate's advances, "I'm ready."

"Jay can sit with you, if you want," Ruzek said, speaking for the first time since entering the apartment, "We're going to need as much detail as you can give us, and it might help-"

Erin glowered at the young officer, the ache in her stomach and the thumping of her heart causing angry Erin to emerge in full force. "I'm fine. Let's just do this, okay?"

Wordlessly, Jay sat himself next to Erin on the couch without making eye contact, hoping that instead of being upset at his presence, she'd welcome it. He kept his eyes trained on the notepad in Ruzek's hand, knowing that his sympathetic gaze could set his partner off. She let out a wheezed sigh but didn't protest. The lack of pain relief certainly made her irritable.

"What do you remember about last Monday, Erin?" Al started, "If you could start from the beginning of your day?"

"I got up, was drinking coffee, and got a text from a CI of mine, Landon Vanak. I-I knew him from growing up and he had been in some trouble like six months ago and I vouched for him, and he owed me. He'd given us a good tip a few months back, and I didn't think I had a reason not to trust him." Erin swallowed, "I um, arrived at the location and thought he was jerking me around so when I turned to leave, I just remember getting cracked on the head with something and everything went black."

She let out a shuddery exhale and tightened her hands together in her lap. Jay was acutely aware of the fact that her breath had gotten quicker as she recalled the terrible experience. "What do you remember next?" Al asked, continuing to scrawl on the notepad.

"I woke up in a really dark basement, and I didn't know how much time had passed but my head was fucking killing me and my wrists and ankles were tied. I um, tried to get out and then Charlie Pugliese came down the basement steps. He-he was someone I knew when I was younger and was into some really bad stuff. He also was caught by Intelligence a few years ago for homicide and other charges. I really thought he was in prison or somewhere else."

Erin let out a sharp cough after a deep breath, trying to slow her rapidly beating heart. She knew it was just Al and Adam in front of her, people she'd worked with for years, but there was something about their presence while she was confessing the darkest parts of the last few days that made her want to hurl herself into Jay's arms. "Do you need a minute?" Ruzek asked carefully, "We can get you some water or-"

"I-I just want to finish," she said as firmly as her shaking voice would allow. "Charlie kept me down there with my hands tied, mouth gagged and feet bound. He was drugging the cloth with something because there are large chunks of time I don't remember and I know he put stuff in the food. He um, hit me when I didn't listen to him and-and kicked me, which is why I'm," she gestured to her stomach area, "And he told me that his plan was to use me to get to Hank to get out of some trouble he was in. I-I really don't remember that much because of the drugs." Erin coughed again, each time causing the hairs on Jay's neck to stand up straighter.

"This is really helpful Erin, thank you, and I'm so sorry this happened," Al put his pen down. "Is there anything else you remember? No detail is too small."

"He had my gun, and my badge," Erin managed, "I-I don't know what he did with those. And I guess he smashed my phone." She turned to Jay, "I forgot, I need a new phone."

He nodded, "I got you one, babe, it's in the drawer in the kitchen."

Erin exhaled, "He kept touching me," she managed, reaching out to grab Jay's hand for comfort, "He-he put his hands all over me and grabbed me, dragged me, kissed me." She coughed again, "He was mad and stupid and then the next thing I remember is seeing Jay." Tears filled her eyes, "I didn't think he was real. I thought I was hallucinating, but then Charlie pulled a bat and a gun on him and I thought we were going to die but-" She stopped and coughed yet again.

"You have everything you need?" Jay shot a pointed look at his teammates as he gently rubbed his coughing girlfriend's back.

"We do, thank you, again," Ruzek stood, "Feel better, Lindsay."

Erin gave a small wave as her team exited the apartment and shut the door behind them. The second the door closed, she erupted in tears. "You did such a good job," Jay praised, bringing his girl close, "It's over now, Er, it's done."

"S-sorry," she choked, "I-I'm just so tired and my stomach hurts and-" Erin interrupted herself with a cough.

"How about some medicine and a movie?" Jay suggested, repeatedly stroking his hand up and down her back in an attempt to provide as much comfort as he could, "We could put it on the computer and watch in bed too, that way you're still lying down."

Erin sniffed and nodded, "C-can you just stay with me when I fall asleep?"

"Of course," Jay kissed the top of her head, "I won't even leave the room to make muffins."

Going to start winding this down so let me know if you have any more suggestions!
