While he had her against a desk in the potions classroom, it all melted away.
The mindless cries as Dementors swept down on the battlefield … the smell of flesh burning as incendiary spells swept the ranks… the sight of her friends, Seamus… Lee… Ron… writhing under the awesome power of the Avada… they all faded from her senses as calloused fingers drove her to completion.
She told herself that it didn't matter if he fell with her; they had already fallen. But as his greasy hair smacked her cheek, his cries mingling with her own, she gloried in oblivion.
