Welcome to chapter 5. I hope that whoever's is reading this stays safe and enjoys.let's get into it.
While in the Emergency room Zoey was laying on the hospital bed sleeping peacefully. Violet and Marina were nearby making sure to keep watch. She took her medication this time and she looks to be doing alright now. Violet was on a chair holding her hand with a steady grip and Marina was on the other side fiddling with her cream like colored fur on her ears.
All of the sudden they heard a knock coming from the door and it revealed to be a Chansey. She looked at the three with a cheery smile.
"Hello I'm your nurse Everett and I came here to talk about Zoeys condition" she continued "and I'm assuming that you must be Violet Tombsbury?"
"Yes ma'am" Violet then walked up to her and they exchanged hands. Marina telling her name doing the same exchange. They sat down for what felt like an hour of them explaining how she got her disease in the first place and what happened before. Then Marina told her the symptoms she had when she interacted with her.
"Ok I will go check up with Dr. Wyatt and see what he has to say about this" she said as she left and closed the door leaving the two alone. Marina decided to speak up.
"She's lucky to be alive" she said tearfully.
"She is but she will go through I'm sure of it" she said confidently.
"I-I didn't know what to d-do she just looked like she just d-died in front me" she said as she layed down and hugged Zoey tightly next to her. Violet put a loving hand on her shoulder.
"Everything will be fine, the worst has ended and she is breathing normally. The world could of lost a loving creature, but not today"
"I know, and I'm glad" Marina said as she buried her head into her shoulder.
After a little while a Poliwrath walked into the room.
"Greetings, I am Dr. Wyatt" he said as she shook both of their hands.
"So we have some good news" he began "We've managed to give her a stronger medication and we have also decided that she will take a neurological exam so we can further investigate what is the cause of these seizures"
"We would like to keep her for tonight and tomorrow to see how the medication fares with her and she should be back home in no more than two days" he ended.
"Ok just make sure that she is alright" Marina said with a serious tone.
"We swear on our lives that if something was to happen then we will be here to help" he said with his chest raised.
"You all may stay for as long as you like but you may leave as well. Just be here when she needs to be picked up is all we ask" he said.
"Ok I'll stay the night here Marina you can go home if you want" Violet directed towards her.
"No way I'm staying here. I'm making sure that I'm there when she wakes up"
"Hmhm ok then I guess I will pick up the others tomorrow to go see her but for now why don't we settle in for the night" said Violet.
"Ok then I will leave you folks to it" Dr. Wyatt said as he left them alone.
Both of them decided to turn on the tv so they could just watch it until they fell asleep. They were pretty tired as it is so they both fell asleep within minutes of watching whatever boring tv shows were on. The tv eventually shut off by itself and it was just the electricity buzzing on top of them. But they didn't know that someone was watching.
Back at the house in the next day...
Cindy was the first to rise from her bed as usual. She wiped the sunlight away from her eyes and she stretches out of bed. Her bedroom was a mess. There water bottles and soda cans everywhere. There was a massive pile of dirty clothes in the corner of her room blocking her closet. She grabbed her hair brush and reached around her back for her tail. When she reached out for it she started to brush her tail to make sure she was ready for her daily hygiene.
Anna was the second to rise from her bed. She woke up with a determined look on her face. She wanted to train for the whole day so she could get better at her muay thai. But she also wanted to see Zoey first and make sure that shes alright. She started off her day with getting up from her bed and straight to doing pushups on her carpet floor. As she was doing her excercise another member of the house slowly started to wake up.
Myles awoke with a lazy expression on his face which is something he usually wakes up with. He got up from his bed and checked his phone to see another text from David that he got earlier. They both have talked previously right before Myles went to bed last night when they agreed that they would hang out at the gym Myles was next to and he was going to fly over there to catch up and what not. He is also going to go visit Zoey at the hospital to check on her eventually.
Finally, and surprisingly Fionna was the last to wake up from her sleep last night. When she awoke she looked a bit disappointed from having woken up from her dream. 'I wish that went on forever' she thought with a sheepish grin. But alas a dream is just a dream and she needs to get up. She decided to put on a better attire since she was going to visit Zoey. She decided that a crimson dress that hung all the way down to the shins of her legs were good enough for the day. She just washed her hair and sprayed perfume on herself and decided that enough was enough.
When Myles finally walked outside of his room he glanced across the hall and dropped his jaw so far down you would think he turned into a hippopotamus. Fionna had her backed turned and you could kinda see the outline of her butt because dress was so dang tight. Not just that, her legs were shining like they were just set to thaw for the whole day before cooking. Myles tail was wagging and his tongue was hanging down from his mouth.
All of the sudden heard an echoey whisper say.
"She doesn't like you"
"h-huh" he looked around him to see who said that but he didn't notice anyone. He shrugged it off and went back into his room.
Cindy walked out of her room and to greet Fionna. After the two exchanged Cindy decided to head down to the kitchen for some breakfast. Anna walked out into the hallway and looked at Fionna. Fionna noticed that Anna was sweating like a wet towel.
"Why are you so sweaty? Are you sick?" Fionna asked concerned.
"Nope, just working out after I woke up. I gotta keep pushing myself to the limit" she said determined.
"Well maybe you should push yourself to the showers because you are not visiting Zoey smelling like that" Fionna chuckled.
"Ha! that was just what I was going to do smart ass" she snapped back.
Fionna laughed and gave her a pat on the head as she left Anna to her privacy of the bathroom.
Myles was in his room fiddling with his cutlass. It was a gift he got from Master Loodachi (Loo-da-chi) his martial arts teacher. He was praised by his master for his companionship and humbleness. So he was gifted the honorary cutlass. When he graduated he engraved his mother's name on the handle of the sword. Putting the name of a passed loved one on the handle of your sword is a sign of deep emotional connection towards them.
He heard a knock from his door.
"Coming!" he called out and opened the door to see Fionna.
"Good morning Myles" she greeted.
"Are you going to get breakfast?" she asked.
"Yeah sure just give me a second I got something I need to deal with" he said as he closed the door.
Fionna shrugged it off and proceeded downstairs. Everything went just as normal as they would expect. They talked, ate food, and laughed. Eventually though Violet pulled up in front of the house and walked in the living room.
"Hello everyone I just want to say that Zoey is alright and she wants to see you guys. Also Marina wants to show all of you guys something including Zoey so that means we have to hang out in the hospital for now" she finished.
While on their way to the car Cindy walked up to Myles.
"Hey Myles?" she whispered.
"Yea?" he whispered back.
"C-could you sit next to me on the car ride. It would make me a little better" she asked.
"sure" he answered.
'eeeeeeeeeeeee' Cindy screeched in her mind and her heart pumping a million beats a second.
They all sat in the car with Myles sitting between Fionna and Cindy just like he promised. The car ride wasn't too long as they had arrived at Mercy Hospital in about 20 mins. They walked in and wrote themselves up to go see Zoey. When they finally reached her room Violet stopped them in their tracks.
"Ok try not fiddle with anything. She is hooked up to a bunch of machines because her brain is being monitored so try not to get rough housy" she said while glaring at Cindy.
Violet and the others walked in and saw that Zoey was peacefully watching tv on her hospital bed. When she saw the others she smiled a little bit.
"Zoey! omg I thought you were gone foreverrrrrr!" Cindy cried out as she layed down next to Zoey and nuzzled her neck with tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Zoey you better not scare us like that again!" cried out Anna as she tugged on her arm with tears exploding from her eyes.
Fionna then walked up and knelt down right next to her.
"We all thought we would lose a great friend a sister. But here you are breathing and your heart beating with life" she said as she kissed her hand and layed her head on it with tears rolling down her face.
Myles couldn't help but also tear up at the heart warming scene happening in front of him. He would hate to see them lose a family member the same way he lost his.
"I cant believe that your brain still does that too you" Fionna breathed.
"I'm pathetic" Zoey said while also equally tearing up.
"No!" Myles said all of the sudden. Everyone including Violet turned their attention towards him. Fionna stood up next to him.
"I'm pathetic I have panic attacks! I'm pathetic because I cant go through something that happened so long ago" Fionna then slapped his shoulder as if to tell him to shut up but Myles ignored.
"You're strong Zoey, you think your not but you are" he continued.
"You are living through something that can kill you. You are moving on with the heart of a lion. You think that your weak but you're not so please!" he grasped onto her hands tightly.
"Don't say that you're pathetic" he said while staring into her eyes with tears coming out.
Zoey looked at him with glowing eyes and right then and there she felt emotionally connected to him. She stared at him teary eyed and kissed his forehead. She couldn't help but blush afterwards but she felt like it was the right thing to do.
"You're a sweet girl. I would hate to see something happen to you" he said as he hugged her. Everybody 'awed' at the sight for a few minutes.
After everyone got cleaned up and less emotional Cindy started to cheer up the mood a little bit. She was making everybody laugh and Violet was telling story's and they were having a swell time.
An hour in Marina walks in and brings a massive box inside of the room.
"Marina? what is that giant box doing in here?" Anna asked first.
"Welllllll you'll see" she said as she teared the box open and what everybody saw was beyond belief.
