CHAPTER 10!!!AN: Whaddup, and this is chapter 10. Since this is chapter 10 I'm gonna make this a long one. Every ten chapters of this story I'm going to purposely make the chapters longer for the reader. So with that being said ENJOY.
1 week later prior to chapter 9...
The alarm in Myles's room goes off and no longer than 30 seconds later the boy rises from the comfort of his bed. He yawns and looks around to find the alarm clock sitting on the nightstand next to his bed and reachs out for it and turns it off. He rubs his eyes and gets up to put on some school clothes.
Today was Myles first day of school. He didn't know much about the highscholl except that the name of it was Jalen Elbridge High. Cindy had told him that the grade he was in is pretty laid back and not that bad compared to her grade. Myles assumed that she was the main one in her grade causing a ruckus. Myles and Fionna were in the same grade which meant they would have the same classes together. When Myles heard that he was so happy to have her as a classmate.
Cindy and Zoey are in the same grade together so they would also both go to the same classes together. Anna is actually a senior so she is one grade above Myles and Fionna so therefore her classes are different to theirs. Anna also competes in the womans volleyball team but Violet said she has never really shown an interest towards the sport.
Marina being 18 actually dropped out of highschool. Their were many rumors spreading and saying that she was going to join the military. Violet heard the rumors and she freaked out. She was also in the military and had gone through a war with the Galar region. She lost so many friends and family to the stupid conflict of war that she couldnt let her baby go. When she asked her about the topic she said she has been thinking about it because she would like to travel more and quote "not be a useless life vessel".
Violet burst into to tears pretty much begging her to stay and not go to pretty much hell. There was no war going on but the sight of terrorism in many regions have spiked in the last year. Many soldiers, pokemon, and children have died from these terrorist attacks.
Being stubborn as always Marina told her not to worry about it and that shes not going to join anytime soon. Violet worrys about it a lot. But whatever goes on in Marinas mind it isn't healthy. Violet knows she can't stop her but she cares too damn much.
Myles grabbed his book bag and took off into the hallway and went downstairs. When he was walking towards the kitchen to grab breakfast he could faintly hear voices coming from there. Smiling, he walked over there greeted Anna, Violet, and Cindy who were all chatting together. Violet was making breakfast for everyone while it looked like Cindy was helping her.
"Good morning everybody" Myles greeted to everyone.
Anna turned to look at him while smiling and nodded.
Cindy and Violet also greeted him while giving him a plate smacked it with a stack of pancakes. He chose to sit down next to Anna on the long table. While seated next to her he glanced at her and saw the cute little fur that popped out of her ears. He almost wanted to reach out for it and wiggle it to see her reaction.
Anna turned to see that Myles was staring at her. With a confused face she looked at him back.
"What?" she asked rather sternly.
Myles quickly looked back while blushing.
"I-I was just wondering what that wonderful s-smell was hehe" he said while looking down at his food knowing that wasn't the reason and realizing that this was a terrible excuse.
Anna's eyes widened.
"Oh, thank you" she said with a smile and resumed eating her food thinking nothing of it.
Myles was also eating his food trying to ignore the awkward interaction when suddenly a beautiful gardevoir walked into the room. Myles saw her face and was amazed. She wore a light blue dress with a short skirt that showed off her legs along with some blue slippers for footwear. That and accompanied by her beautiful ruby eyes made for a killer combination. Myles couldn't take his eyes off her.
"Well, well Fionna. Look who decided to use my old hand me down" Violet said with her hands on her hips.
"The dress is great! Thank you so much!" Fionna said thankfully.
"Uhhg, do you have to be so loud Fio?" said a low voiced and totally not tired Marina who just now walked into the kitchen.
"You look beautiful in that dress Fionna and look who's finally up" she switched her glance to the bunny woman.
"Coffee" Marina said like a zombie when she saw the caffeinated liquid.
Violet poured her a cup and gave it to Marina.
"Can I have some?" Cindy asked Violet sincerly.
"Dear Arceus no" chuckled at her question.
"Cindy, honey you only drink coffee when you need energy. Not as a simple beverage" Violet responded calmy.
Cindy sat there pouting at her answer.
As time went on everyone started to finished their breakfast one by one. Violet told all the ones that go to school are to wait at the bustop together.
2 mins later...
After everyone said goodbye and each recieved a kiss Violet they all left except Marina who had a gig at a insurance company.
Everybody walked together towards the bustop. Myles and Cindy were aparently having a conversation about the old legendary pokemon mew and its tale. The two talked for minutes before Cindy decided to go on ahead of him.
He did however, notice that Fionna stayed behind when she was in front of him. She waited for Myles to walk up to her and greeted him.
"Hey Myles, I forgot to say good morning to you morning. So, good morning!" she beamed excitedly.
Myles was a little taken a back by her small sudden outburst but greeted her back anyways.
The two kept walking together towards their bustop in silence for a few minutes when suddenly the gardevoir asked...
"Have you been sleeping ok?" She asked concernly.
"Yeah believe it or not. I've been sleeping pretty great this past month actually" Myles paused and then continued.
"I did have a panic attack though" Myles said lowly.
Fionna frowned at that. She didn't want her poor boyfri- friend to be suffering and having mental breakdowns. She knew Myles has been through a damn rough life but even going through all that he such a kind hearted man who loves his friends and family.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" Fionna asked with a frown on her face still.
"Well it's kind of selfish for me to wake you up over something so stupid and worthless" he said while rubbing his forehead.
"Of course not. For now on when you need somebody in the middle of the night you wake me up and I can comfort you. I used to do it for Zoey all the time when there were thunderstorms" she finished.
Myles looked at her and smiled.
'This has got to be the kindest and most beautiful woman I have ever met' he thought to himself. (Luckily Fionna wasn't using her telekinetic powers to read his thoughts or else shit would be CRAZY)
"Ok, thank you Fionna. I really appreciate it" Myles said sincerly.
Fionna to herself was actually really mad at him for being so dense in this situation. Why would he not try to ask at least anybody for help. Was it because he was embarrassed to wake somebody up in the middle of the night? Or was he so selfless because he thinks that such a thing is stupid to wake somebody up over. But regardless of the reason he should've told somebody. Nobody going through something like that should be left alone.
Fionna rolled her eyes and smiled to herself happy to know that Myles listened to her and was going to get help if such a situation happens again in the middle of the night.
The two kept walking behind the group chatting a bit before finally stopping at what Myles assumed to be their bustop. When they arrived he noticed a Zangoose and a Snorlax talking to each other casually and next to them was a Leafeon listening to he or she's music. Myles didn't really mind or pay any attention to them so he just stood where he was and waited for his bus. He glanced around the street and low and behold he saw a yellow truck like vehicle approaching the stop.
One by one everybody got on. Cindy and Zoey instantly sat together up front while Anna sat to the right of them. Fionna sat with her friend Reid. Fionna made Myles sit across from them so she could introduce them two. Reid was a petite Tsareena with violet eyes and bright green hair. From what Myles could tell she was about 5'2 in height. For comparison Myles was exactly 6 feet tall when standing straight. She looked skeptically at Myles and said out loud.
"So this is the boy you've been bugging me about these past few weeks? Looks nothing special to me" she said as she rolled her eyes.
Fionna's eyes widened as she blushed and said out loud.
"Reid you weren't supposed to say that out loud" she said as she slapped her arm. She then pouted and crossed her arms.
Reid's face somehow made a small smirk.
"As you heard from her my name is Reid. I have to watch over this dummy sometimes but were good friends and hopefully you two will as well" she said lowly but sincerly.
"The name's Myles, good to meet you and truth be told Fionna has never mentioned you. No offense hehe" he scratched the back of his head.
"Oh that's no problem she tends to forget about her friends a lot. Especially the only one that's known her since she was in elementary school" She finished on a sour note.
Fionna rolled her eyes at that last comment.
The three talked for pretty much the rest of the bus ride. When the bus had finally entered school grounds it stopped right in front of the court yard. When he got out he was taken aback by how large the school was. This was by far the largest school he has ever seen. The building was about the size of two whole skyscrapers that are laying on the ground. A...dare I say it a groundscraper. But there was also a large fountain that had a dead tree hanging over. judging by the looks of it couldn't have been standing much longer if there wasn't multiple contraptions forcing it to stand up.
"Come on, me and Reid will take you to our classes since we all have the same classes after all" Fionna took Myles out of his thoughts.
"See ya Myles!" Cindy exclaimed as she grabbed Zoey's hand and rushed through the crowd.
"See you later guys!" Anna waved and they waved back as she disappeared into the large crowd.
"Lets go!" Fionna beckoned Myles.
They walked through the crowd and Myles was feeling a little overwhelmed by how many people were at this school. Judging by just how many peopl were in the main hallway there was at least 600 students. They walked past them all together towards a set of stairs.
"So, since were juniors we go on the third floor together. Freshmans and Sophomores are on the second floor and Seniors are on the fourth floor. The first floor is basically where the main office is at as well as the cafeteria and the gym. Understood?" Fionna finished to which Myles responded with a nod.
"Just follow me and Reid. We'll show you all your classes you need to go to so that way in the future you won't need to follow us to your classes" she grinned.
When they walked up to the third floor Myles was baffled by how much this school had. The third floor had so many rooms to itself he wondered how many that the others had. Not to mention the long hallway full of lockers and kids.
"Hey over here!" a voice suddenly shouted out towards the group.
Myles looked over and saw a geeky looking Jolteon with glasses waved at him.
"Hey Mr. Walter!" both girls greeted.
"Hey Reid. Hey Fionna. And you must Myles" He looked at him with his beady black but very enthusiastic eyes.
"Yeah hehe. Thats me" he scratched the back of his head.
"You girls go to Math class I'll show Mr. Kyren (Myle's last name that I totally forgot to mention at all in this story) his locker and his combination"
The girls nodded and headed off to class while Myles followed Mr. Walter. after like 10 seconds the jolteon stopped at a locker.
"This right here is your locker and this notepad is your combination just incase you forget about it. Also, it seems you have your locker right next to my good student Ace. You'll know him when you meet him. Your class is 313 with Mr. Brown your mathematics and geometry teacher. So have learning Myles!" Mr. Walter grinned and walked away.
Myles shrugged and walked to class 313 where he was greeted at the front door by a grumpy looking Rydon that you would definitely not want to piss off.
"Hello boy. And you are?"
Myles stumbled back a little in fear.
"U-uh Myles Kyren s-sir" he stuttered.
The Rydon smirked.
"Oh welcome to class sir. Take any available seat and we'll get started"
Myles nodded and walked past him and into the class. While walking he instantly felt like a new foreign student. He walked in and everybody just stared at him. He paused and looked around and saw that the seats that were next to Fionna were taken. In fact, he didn't see any seat available to him until he saw a hand raised towards the back of the class.
"Psssp over here!" a voice whispered loudly.
He looked over to where the hand was raised and he saw someone hes never seen before.
It was a goofy looking Cinderace that looked like he's known him for years.
"Cmon! theres a seat right here"
Myles looked around and shrugged. Minus well sit next to him he doesn't have a choice. He walked closer to the bunny and sat next to him. The bunny's foot was bouncing because he couldn't sit still for even a second.
"I've noticed that I haven't seen you here before you new here?" he asked curiously.
Myles nodded then said.
"Yeah just moved here this year. You?"
"Nah, I've been here for a little while now. About 4 years ago since I've moved here. Got a name?"
"Myles"
"Ace" He grinned back at him.
Suddenly the bell rang.
"Ok class! now that the bell rang I will be taking attendance"
Mr. Brown spent about 5 mins of the class time taking attendance. When he got to Myle's name he decided since he was new he was going to introduce himself.
"Myles! since your new here why don't you introduce yourself to everybody"
Myles gulped and stood up from his seat. He looked around and noticed that everyone was staring at him.
"uuhhh the names Myles Kyren pleasure to meet everybody" he showed a fake smile and sat back down quickly.
He heard a couple pokemon giggling but it didn't bother him.
"Wow, what an awesome introduction" Ace whispered to him sincerly.
"Thanks" Myles mumbled.
"Ok everyone grab the text books from the shelf over there and we will begin at page 10" Mr. Brown announced.
Class went on pretty normally. The class was pretty much just silently reading the pages assigned by the teacher. Myles would sometimes be distracted by Ace who was not reading silently and would sometimes start fidgeting around. He obviously does not like sitting down.
'Heh, kinda reminds me of Cindy in a way' He would think to himself.
When he decided to take a small brain break from reading he decided to observe the bunny a little more. His head had giant bunny ears kind've like Marina's but about half the size. He had red eyes with white pupils but he also seemed to have a mark on the right side of his eyes. He wore a White T with blue lines on the on the neck and collarbone part and wore red shorts that stopped below his knees.
Every now and then Myles would get distracted at the fire bunny talking to himself through the whole class but he really didn't mind. It would get annoying whenever he would blatantly scold himself for incorrecting a word out loud. Myles shook his head to himself and smirked.
Eventually the bell ring which meant class was over. Everybody pretty much got up and collected their book bags and left the classroom. While leaving Myles bumped into Fionna on the way out.
"So, what do you think of this school so far?" she asked with Reid next to her.
"Honestly fine. I think this going to be a breeze" he smiled.
So for the next three classes it was all pretty much normal. He went through class and met his teachers who seemed to pretty nice aside from that intimidating ryhdon from earlier. He even bonded a little bit with Ace although it was just a little small talk here and there. But he could tell that he could be friends with him possibly.
Enough time went on and lunch was on the rise. Myles couldn't really care for lunch but it was part of the schedule he had to follow so it was whatever. He walked in the large cafeteria that had a giant badass Moltres sculpture in the middle of the ceiling in there. He looked around for the line and saw a large line of students picking out their lunch. He sighed and walked over there to stand in line.
After he picked up his lunch and played for it he walked out of line and looked around to sit at a table. He saw Fionna sitting with Reid and a bunch of other girls so that was out of the question.
"Yo Myles! sopt right here" He heard a voice shout at him.
He looked for the source and saw the familiar bunny sitting their waving at him. He was unsurprisingly sitting by himself but it was better than nobody so Myles smiled and sat across from him.
"So what do you think of this school?" Ace asked.
"Its fine to me. Though Mr. Brown is a little scary" Myles said.
Ace chuckled "Yeah, I heard that he smashed a desk in half with one hand because a kid pissed him off so much"
"Tell me why I'm not surprised" Myles rolled his eyes.
The two sat there talking a little bit while eating. All was fine until Ace felt a wet substance on the back of his head.
"Hehehe look at the little bunny bitch! It looks like hes got a little boyfriend. So are you gay or something bitch boy?" There were two pokemon behind him. One was an absol while the other one was a fat darmanitan. They both wore grey hoodies and had red caps they wore backwards.
"Stop calling me that Ryan you know I'm not that" Ace whined to him.
The darmanitan slapped the back of his head.
"Since when did this hoe start talking back? I outta beat you to a pulp kid" He threatened.
"Easy Danny, you don't need another suspension to your record here. Or else you'd be expelled by now hehe" Ryan stopped Danny.
"Besides we got another kid to pick on. You, what's your name" the asshole pointed at Myles.
"Myles" he simply replied while chewing on his food casually.
"Myles huh. So why are you hanging out with this loser anyways? Are you two secretly making out or something hehe" Danny laughed a little too hard at his terrible joke. It's obvious hes a little more dense than this Ryan guy.
"No hes been nice to me so hes cool in my book" Myles said while he was still eating his food.
"Hm, not buying it. Anyways Ace, cough up your food I'm starving" Danny said as he started to grab Ace's food.
Ace tugged his food back.
"No! I need it. I spent the last of my money just to buy it!" Ace pleaded.
"Too bad" Danny easily won against Ace.
'This kid obviously can't stick up or defend himself' Myles thought.
'Oh well, I need to relieve some stress anyways'
Myles got up from his seat and stared dead at Danny in the eyes.
"Put it down fatty" he said coldly.
Danny looked up at Myles and threw the food on the floor.
"What was that squirt?" he said as he took two steps closer.
Myles smirked.
"You heard what I said fatty. He needs it more than you do and judging by your build it looks like you've stolen the entire cafeteria supply" Myles chuckled.
"That's it!"
The darmanitan lunged at Myles as fast he could but Myles was way faster. Myles easily fainted to his right side and tripped him.
Thud!
"oof!" Danny grunted.
While on the ground he looked at his hands and noticed that he was drench in milk. He heard Ace giggling in the background.
"urrrraaaagg! Fuck You!" he screamed and that got everybody's attention.
He got up and was getting ready to charge at Myles again. Myles noticed that everybody was getting riled up ready to see a fight. Myles ignored all the sound and focused on the target in front of him.
The fat kid ran at him again with the intention to tackle him down again and give him ground and pound. Myles has fought somebody bigger than him before and he knew exactly what to do.
Danny tried going for Myles legs to take him down. When he almost came contact with Myles the lucario spreaded his legs out behind him so he could defend the takedown.
Danny still held him and being stronger also helped him keep a good grip on him. But what he didn't expect at all was for Myles to wrap his armpit over his head.
He didn't know what was happening. Usually everybody he fought has never done something so strange.
All of the sudden the pressure around his head or more specifically his neck was getting much tighter to the point he couldn't breath.
After Myles was squeezing he started to sit up a little and pull upwards while still having him in the chokehold (it's called a guillotine in case you don't know ;).
Danny was having a lot of trouble breathing while in the chokehold and before he knew it he passed out and lost to the random scrawny lucario.
Once Myles felt his body go limp he simply let go of him and got up.
Everybody went bat shit crazy over what he just did and had their phones out too.
"Take that bastard!" Myles heard a familiar voice behind him.
Apparently Ace was behind him and soccer kicked Danny while he was on the ground unconscious...hes gonna feel that one when he wakes up.
"Hey! what's going on here!" yelled out a booming voice.
"Hey detain those two!" yelled out another voice.
Myles looked around and could barely see until he was tackled to the ground by Mr. Brown.
"Already starting fights here?! Come on kid you should know better" he said while he was on top of Myles.
He could hear Ace in the background yelling at the others who were detaining him.
"That kid tried to steal my stuff he should be the one in trouble!" he would hear.
10 mins later...
Myles and Ace both sat in the main office right next to each other.
"Well, do you think they'll suspend us?" Ace asked.
Myles responded with a grunt. He was obviously pissed off.
"Ace, Myles could you guys step into my office?" a typhlosion called out to them.
They both walked up to her and Ace walked in her office but she stopped Myles.
"I don't think we've met before Myles. My name is Joanna Vettori. But you may call me Miss Tori" she finished.
"Not a good start for you so far. We cannot have fights on school ground but we will also punish Danny as well. You may step in now and sit next to Ace"
He walked in and sat on one of the rolley chairs next to Ace.
Miss Tori stepped in her office and sat on her office chair and started typing onto her computer.
"I will be having a chat with your father later Ace and I will contact Miss Tombsbury about your sitution Myles" she continued typing.
Ace had a sad and disappointing look to his face while Myles just looked angry.
"He started it Miss Tori! he tried to take my lunch along with his stupid friend Ryan"
"I understand that but you should tell somebody instead of getting physical with them. We do not tolerate violence in our school understand?"
Ace didn't say a word.
"Understand?"
"Yes Miss Tori"
"Good" she smiled.
She looked at her computer screen before looking back at them.
"Ok there is a bus outside for each of you to take you home. I will be suspending you for the rest of the day and all of tommorow" she said.
"What!?" Myles and Ace both shouted.
"No "what" Danny will be getting suspended too if not longer since he will probably be in the hospital. The good thing is that he cant sue you guys or file a police report on it because it was technically him who started it" she added.
"But I will still suspend you two to show you guys that once again violence will not be accepted in my school. Now, scurry on along your buses are waiting on you guys" she shooed them away.
Myles and Ace left the her office and were walking in the hallway together.
Both were walking in silence until about halfway across the hallway.
"Hey man, I just wanted to say thanks for sticking up for me back there. You've done something that nobody has ever done for me before" Ace blushed at that last comment he made.
"Yeah sure, whatever" Myles grumbled while speeding up.
"Wait up! seriously I appreciate it a lot"
Myles stopped in his tracks.
"What do you want?" he asked angrily.
"I just wanna let you know that was really badass what you did"
"Yeah, and you need to learn how to defend your ass. Not everybody can save you all the time" Myles said rather mean.
"Hey no need to be an ass about it!"
"I'm not if you knew how to defend yourself I wouldn't be suspended. Ugh" Myles sighed and face palmed.
"I'm going home" Myles said as he walked along.
Ace's ears drooped down while he was looking at the ground with a sad look on his face. Was he really just not gonna talk to him again.
Myles stopped in his tracks and said while his back was turn...
"If those guys give you trouble again. Let me know"
Ace's ears suddenly went up and his little puffy tail started wagging like an excited dog.
"Ok?" Myles asked.
"Ok" Ace said with a big grin on his face.
"Good. Catch ya around Ace" Myles said as he continued walking ahead.
"See ya"
Myles walked onto his bus and just sat there thinking about how much of weird day this has been.
How was he going to explain what happened to Violet and the others. At least he met Ace he seems pretty cool but he wished he didn't intervene with their fight so he wouldn't have gotten in trouble. It's fine though, at least the kid didn't get himself hurt and that was why he intervened in the first place to protect him.
He on the bus and looked outside the window for a little while until he was dropped off at the bustop towards that goes towards his house. He got up from his seat and hopped off the bus and walked towards the house.
When he was on the front porch he turned the doorknob and walked in.
He was immediately faced with Violet.

AN: End of this chapter lemme know what ya'll think. Also if you guys want to make up some characters for me to put in the story. The only rules are is that they have to be pokemon and you also don't have to give them names but give them like little roles. Like if they just stay in the background and don't interact with the characters or if they're like selling something to the characters and they're talking to them. That sorta stuff but like I said you don't have too.
