Hermione couldn't tell if Ron had been joking when he had said it, but Hermione took the comment into deep consideration. After the date Harry had with Cho and Ron's incident with Fleur last year, she thought the boys some serious guidance with women.
Whenever she had some spare time, which was rare, she tried to recollect every problem she had seen Harry and Ron had with the opposite sex. Trying to stretch the problem from four words to two paragraphs. The two young men were getting a bit concerned, since she stopped badgering them over their homework, and rambling on about S.P.E.W.
But all she would say to them was, "This is too important for me, I might show you when it's finished." The book was nearly two hundred pages long when they were in their sixth year. And new problems had begun to develop.
When Ron had started dating Lavender Brown, Hermione's heart filled with pain, and to relieve it she cried until her heart was drained. The tears splattered against the pieces of parchment. Then on Ron's birthday he was poisoned, and she had snuck to him, telling him everything that was hovering above her.
Even though he could not hear her she felt he had gotten the message. She wrote it down, twisting a few words in to her liking. That when girls fight with other girls the most vicious will set out to take the victim's crush.
In July before she went to the Burrow she went to Flourish and Botts in Diagon Alley to see if they would send her book to a publisher, and then have it stocked in their store.
Luckily the shop keeper that day was a woman, and complied happily to Hermione's request. Several weeks later its first copies were on the shelf. Hermione felt so much pride to see her own name on a book, after reading so long it eventually became her dream.
The books flew off the shelves faster than a Firebolt, and whatever money Hermione made she put half in Gringotts, the other to S.P.E.W. and other charities. She had given Harry and Ron their own copies, and to be honest, they were a bit skeptical. But finally they found it best to read it. After all Hermione was sort of a girl.
Harry was first to finish, and confronted Hermione on it. "It's about Ron and me, isn't it?" Hermione nodded, "Come on you two are basically the only guys I know. At least you know what to do next time." Harry's lip twitched slightly, but his mouth remained a frown. "You still should have asked first." "Oh Harry I am sorry, I didn't know you would take it this way." "I guess I shouldn't, well, unless someone finds out who it's about." Then He set off for work.
Ron had finished it a year later, when the trio was adapting to their new lifestyles on their own. The three of them rented a flat in Oxfordshire, and each of them apparated to work every morning. Ron came in late one evening, Harry having gone out with Ginny. He was staring at the book in his hand, perplexed. "I just finished your book Mione." Hermione flushed a bit, "Did you like it?" "Yeah, course. I just have a question about it." Hermione sat up, "What part?" "The part in the book saying girls will act in vicious ways and fight with the guy she has affection for." Hermione sucked in a breath, "Whats the question Ronald?" He swallowed hard, "We used to fight a lot, did that mean you loved me?" Hermione nodded, "I still do." Ron then leaned in, and kissed her tenderly on the lips.
He came back up smiling, he pushed a curly strand of hair off her face. "Mione?" "Yes?" "It's the exact same way with guys."
