The Pain Of My Love
Michiru smiled, her head lying on the chest of her lover, listening to the now steady beat of Haruks's heart. She was glad that fate dealt her this hand, she was happy that all her pain in life paid off and having someone love her was now her reward. It definitely wasn't easy being a senshi since she was risking her life every day. Not only that, but the inner turmoil that Haruka dealt with hurt everyone that knew about it, which weren't many. It hurt Michiru so much to see the person she cared about the most in pain.
Haruka always doubted that she was meant to be with Michiru, whether or not the blonde was good enough for the young violinist. To see Haruka suffering and in pain every night, hurt her beyond anyone's belief. She wanted to do nothing but erase the pain of her lover, the fear and pain that the other woman felt through out her life. Michiru hated to hear the other Wind Goddess cry in her sleep. Haruka would never admit to being in pain or having problems with anything, she was always the strong one but she was never as strong as she would like you to believe.
Any emotion she shows is pure and raw. If she's going to bother to have a feeling, it must be 100 percent, or it doesn't exist to her. This also accounts for her apparent lack of sympathy and tears. Haruka does cry. Only when the feeling and time is right, when there is actually something to cry about, never any other time. Though she had been crying a lot in the past few days, mostly at night. She would often get out of bed and walk out onto the balcony and just look at the moon that shone on the sea and the wind that entwined through her blonde hair. Then she would just lean against the railings and something inside her pulls to the surface, all the memories come flooding back to her and she just starts crying. She would then cry all she had to and then get back into her bed and drift off to sleep, in time Michiru had noticed Haruka's abrupt departures and had once watched Haruka from the shadows but didn't dare interrupt her.
Michiru used to keep an eye on her at times to make sure she was ok. Michiru truly loved Haruka and Haruka knew it but she still never opened up to her enough. Michiru was always scared that maybe because Haruka held in all her pain that it would hurt her much more in the future. Michiru sighed, hoping someday Haruka would open up to her completely. To trust her with her inner most thoughts. Trust was always important to Michiru, she didn't always know who she could trust and she always wished that maybe Haruka could try to trust her a little more everyday.
"Michi...," Haruka's sleepy voice cut through the Michiru's train of thoughts and feelings. "Whatcha thinking about?" she asked, tracing her fingers through Michiru's soft aquamarine hair.
She looked up, "Just you sweetie" she whispered, hugging Haruka and kissing her softly on her neck. Haruka pulled her arms around Michiru's thin body and just lay there looking down at her Sea Goddess, feeling safe.
