Chapter 21: Meet the Parents

Featuring Termite Demon, Termatra

Eda was on her way to Archimedes house. She went to go check on him to see how he was with his research, but mainly just to spend time with him. She knocked on his door, but it creeked open showing it was unlocked. Eda got worried if something happened to him or someone broke in or mugged him. So she enters in cautiously.

Eda: Archy? You home? You're front door was open and I know it's wrong to intrude but...oh.

Eda came across his study room which was a mess. Books and papers were all over the floor. She saw Archimedes scanning through each book cover just to find what he was looking for.

Archimedes: No, no,no, no. Come on I know I have it!

Eda: Uh Archimedes?

Archimedes: Money's on the table, just leave the food.

Eda: What, no. Archy it's me.

Archimedes turned around and she noticed he looked tired, had bags under his eyes and his hair was slightly messed up.

Archimedes: Eda!

Archimeds quickly fixed his hair and rubbed his eyes and then quickly hugged her.

Archimedes: Oh E! What brings you here?

Eda: Um it's our day for you and me to spend some time together.

Archimedes: Oh was that today? I thought that was yesterday. Wait am I thinking of last week? Sorry I'm not thinking straight.

Eda: Archy you okay? You look stressed out and tired.

Archimedes What no, no. I'm good! I'm good just uh...just working is all.

Eda: Oh really. Well in that case it's break time.

Archimedes: Oh no, no, no. No breaks. I really need to get back to...

But Eda grabs his ear and pulls him.

Archimedes: Ow! Eda?

Eda: Well I say you need one. Now come on.

Eda dragged Archimedes out of his study room.

5 minutes later.

They were in his living room as Eda gave him a drink.

Archimedes: Thank you.

She sat next to him on his couch as the two watched their paslisman Owlbert and Jeremy flying around playing.

Eda: It's been a while since those two last saw each other.

Archimedes: I'm sure they missed playing. You've been doing okay?

Eda: I'm fine. Just been trying to get the hang of my new harpy mode.

Archimedes: Oh right you told me you somehow accessed that earlier this week.

Eda: Yeah and then just yesterday I was at the knee to get the Titan blood for Luz's new portal but had a run in with the Legion of Five and those two demon twins again, but don't freak out. I went Harpy Eda on them and bam! Took those two down without too much trouble like last time. You should of seen me there.

Archimedes: Oh I wish. I'm still anxious to see you as a harpy. Just glad you're alright.

Eda: Hey I'm fine. I'm more worried about you.

Archimedes: Me?

Eda: Look at you. You're exhausted and have you been getting any sleep?

Archimedes: Uh, well I mean... who needs sleep right? Just need my six cups of coffee a day. Haha, I mean their's so much to do and accomplish in life right?

Eda gave him a stern look.

Archimedes: Okay I just, I haven't been much help ever you called me to help find out more about where Christa or King came from. I mean the pod and the paintings I'm amazed. I've never seen anything like it, but I can't find any sources on it, but I feel like I saw the symbol on that tower before. Now I remember as a kid, I was rewarded a book of myths by my old Historian teacher, Mr. Hirata. I'm surprised he's still working at Hexside, last time I heard he found new work with the Emperor Coven's head scientist. But annyway, he told Luz and Christa that he gave me his book. Since you informed me, I remember I did get it but I can't find it anywhere.

Eda placed her her hand on the back of his head and scratched it.

Eda: Hey I know you're doing your best, but I don't want you to work yourself to death. If you needed help you could have asked me.

Archimedes: I thought if I did that, you'd see me as unhelpful.

Eda: Excuse me?

Eda then placed her hand over his cheek and had him face her.

Eda: Archimedes even after what I did to you that day and distant myself from you, you still cared for me and always checked on me if I was okay. You were the one who showed me my elixer and you're always the first person I turn to for help whenever I need it. Plus ever since we've been dating, it's been the best time of my life. So don't ever think you're unhelpful.

Archimedes felt her holding his hand and she kissed his cheek.

Archimedes: I've just been returning the favor for you always being there for me. I mean everyday I spend with you and just talking to you makes my day. I mean I never minded studying a lot and it's what I'm good at, but you still made things more exciting for me, I mean my parents always...oh wait!

Eda: What?

Archimedes: I remember where that book is now. It's at my old childhood home. My parents house.

Eda: Is it really?

Archimedes: Yes I remember I always read it at night as a kid and when I moved out, I couldn't bring everything with me and my mom did want my room to stay in tact a little just to remember me there.

Eda: So you gonna go see them?

Archimedes: Well I am due for a visit. I'm gonna go give a call.

Eda: Wait, I want to come with.

Archimedes: You sure. Becaus you know how my mom is and you guys haven't always seen eye to eye.

Eda: I know, but I think they should know about us and it could give me a chance to make things right with her.

Archimedes: But...

Eda: Please Archy.

Archimedes: Okay alright, I'll see what I can do.

Later.

Eda watched as Archimedes was on the phone.

Archimedes: Yes mom, I've been good. How's dad? Alright, listen is it alright if I dropped by for dinner tonight? Yes I'd love to see you but I also need something of mine there. Okay, oh and listen um, I have friend with me who's coming also. You'll see who it is. Okay I'll see you tonight, bye...what? Oh uh I love you too. Bye.

Archimedes hangs up.

Archimedes: Alright then, we'll be dropping in for dinner.

Eda: Great. You're the best Archy.

Archimedes: Just try to be on your best behaviour okay? You know how she is?

Eda: Alright I will. Don't worry.

Eda playfully punches Archimedes in the arm.

Archimedes: Ow. And no punchies.

Eda: Fine, sheesh you still suck at this game.

Later.

The two flew over to his parents house. They soon arrived at a two story house.

Archimedes: Here we are. You sure you really want to do this?

Eda: Yes. I've made my decision and I want to find this book with you.

Archimedes: ( sighs) Alright, here goes.

Archimedes knocked on the door. In a few moment the door opened and we're introduced to Archimedes's parents. First their was his mom. She was elderly woman about as old as Eda's mom and her height as well. She wore a midnight blue dress and had a necklace with a star and diamond in the middle. She had pale skin, grey eyes like her son and her white hair was tied to a bun. Then there was his dad who was slight lightly taller than she was, but still a little shorter than Eda. Due to their old age it seem's their height has shrunk as well. He wore a brown suit with a red tie. He had cinammon skin like his son, brown eyes and gray hair and was smoking a pipe.

Mrs. Blackwell: ( gasp) Archimedes, oh welcome home.

Mrs. Blackwell pulled Archimedes down to her as she hugged and placed numerous kisses on his face.

Archimedes: It's nice to see you too mom. Anyway...

Mrs. Blackwell: Oh just a few more.

Mrs. Blackwell kisses his face a few more times.

Archimedes: Mom...

Mrs. Blackwell: Oh hold on, you have smudge on your face.

Mrs. Blackwell licks her thumb and rubs it on Archimedes's cheek.

Archimedes: Mom please!

Mr Blackwell: Now boy, you know how she is. You haven't visited in months.

Archimedes: I've just been busy dad. Work's been crazy lately.

Mrs. Blackwell: Have you been eating Archimedes? You look thin.

Archimedes: I have been mom.

Mrs. Blackwell: Oh I'm sorry, I'm just so happy to see you here.

Archimedes: Well, I mainly came to get something of mine, but of course I thought about you and visit. But I came with someone.

Archimedes then shows them Eda. Eda had a nervouse smile on her face, but tried to act cool and Mrs. Blackwell kind and happy look then turned into a cold stare when she saw Eda.

Archimedes: Mom, dad you remember Eda Clawthorne. My old friend.

Eda: He-Hey Mr and Mrs. B, how you doin? Mr B love that pipe of yours. Is that new.

Mr Blackwell: Got it two months ago actually.

Eda: And Mrs. B, love the necklace and the dress.

Mrs Blackwell: I see, and why is she here Archimedes?

Archimedes: Um, we've been catching up and you know, hanging out again.

Eda: I mean yeah we've rarely seen each other the past several years.

Archimedes: Is it okay if Eda stays for dinner?

Mrs. Blackwell: ( raises eyebrow) Her?

But then they felt the ground shake for a minute.

Mr. Blackwell: We shouldn't stay out long, we're having some pest problems. Very well, just please don't break anything.

Eda: Hey I promise. I'm very respectful with people's property.

But after she said that Eda, she accidentally knocked over a potted plant near the front door as everyone looked at her with an awkward silence.

Eda: I'll pay for that.

Later inside.

They made their way inside, Mrs. Blackwell went into the kitchen to finish dinner as Mr Blackwell lead Archimedes and Eda into the living room. The two sat on the couch next to each other as Mr Blackwell sat on his chair. It was a fancy looking living which had a frame of a young Archimedes and his parents, a grandfather clock, fireplace, a book shelf with all sorts of books and a stuffed head of a demon that look like a rhino but with a cresent shaped head hanging on the wall. Mr Blackwell added more tobacco in his pipe, lit it and began to smoke.

Archimedes: Um dad are you guys having problems outside?

Mr Blackwell: ( groans) A Termatra demon made it's nest underground in our front yard. I called a Beast Keeper to come deal with it, but he got eaten. Apperantly it was his first day on the job. Sending a rookie out to do this. The real guy is on vacation and now I gotta wait a whole week for him to do this.

Eda: Oh yeah, those things are tough and aggravating.

Mr Blackwell: Now Archimedes, you said you had other reasons coming here other than just to see your old man.

Archimedes: Dad of course I was due for a visit, but I'm also here to get an old book of mine.

Mr Blackwell: I thought you said you had all the books you need at your place. Which one are you looking for?

Archimedes: Um, " Myths and Legends of the Boiling Isles." Is it still here?

Mr Blackwell: I never set forth in your room since you moved out. I'm sure it is, but what do you want that for?Isn't that for children?

Archimedes: I'm helping Eda along with some other friends with some research.

Mr Blackwell: Research regarding with myths?

Archimedes: I really think we might have discovered something new in the Demon realm. This could be revolutionary!

Mr Blackwell: If you say so, I just hope you're not become a conspiritist. There's a difference between a historian and a conspiritist.

Archimedes: I assure you it'll be a big discovery.

Mr Blackwell: Very well. And Eda, you still on the run from the law?

Eda: Well yeah, I mean I'm occasionally on the run or butting heads, but ever since I lost my magic I'm not really a top priority to them anymore.

Mr Blackwell: Consider that a good thing. Though I am sorry about your magic. Is it um...because your curse?

Eda: Well, yes. But things have been changing and actually I have gotten better control over it.

Mr Blackwell: Have you really? How so?

Mrs. Blackwell: Dinner's ready.

Mr Blackwell: Ah yes, Sadola roast night.

Mr Blackwell immediatly got up and to the dining room as Eda and Archimedes followed him the dining room. The two took a seat across from his parents and each served their own plate.

Mr Blackwell: You know how to make a good roast honey.

Archimedes: Yeah mom I will admit I do miss your cooking.

Mrs Blackwell: Well I know what you two like.

Eda: Yeah you sure make a mean roast. You know I was once attacked by a huge bird and I blasted it into a roasted one. Let's just say it was extra crispy haha.

But Mrs Blackwell completely ingnored her. Eda looked away trying to think of something else.

Archimedes: Um, anyone got a joke?

Eda: Oh I got one, it's a real doozy. Okay, so I still miss my ex husband. But my aim is getting better!

No one laughed. Archimedes and his dad looked more confused as they didn't get the joke while Mrs Blackwell still ignored her.

Eda: My aim is getting better! See because you know miss as in I missed trying to shoot him rather than me thinking of...

Mrs Blackwell: ( sharply) Yes we get the word play.

Eda looked away and frowned. She was trying to fit in and just be fun, but nothing was working.

Mrs Blackwell: Archimedes do you have enough on your plate?

Archimedes: ( sighs) Yes mom.

She got a bowl of steamed veggies and puts a scoop on his plate.

Mrs Blackwell: Oh and eat some for vegetables. They're good for you.

Archimedes: Mom!

Mr Blackwell: Son I hate it as much as you do, but just do it.

Archimedes groans as Eda snickered at him being treated like a child.

Mrs Blackwell: So Archimedes, you said came here for another reason other than for me?

Mr Blackwell: He said he's here to get an old book of his.

Archimedes: I'm helping Eda with some research.

Mrs Blackwell: Oh, I thought you two stopped talking.

Eda: Hey we didn't really stop.

Archimedes: I still keep in touch with her and...actually I do have something to say. A while back we met up again, we did some catching up, somethings happened and...now she's my girlfriend.

Mr Blackwell looked up a bit surprised but tried to stay calm and while Mrs Blackwell dropped her fork with eyes widened.

Archimedes: I've been meaning to tell her this for years, but never had the courage until now.

Eda: And I love him very much.

Archimedes: I was going to tell you two eventually and we thought this would be the best chance. I just hope you two understand and...

Mrs Blackwell: I'm sorry Archimedes, but I don't approve this.

Archimedes: But mom, this is how I feel.

Mrs Blackwell: You can't be serious Archimedes. You can't really fall for someone like her.

Eda now looked at her upset.

Eda: And what's that supposed to mean?

Mrs Blackwell: You're a bad influence to our son.

Eda now stood up placing her hands on the table.

Eda: Bad influence?!

Archimedes: Eda...

Eda: How am I a bad influence to him?

Mrs Blackwell: You're a trouble maker, you're not lady like, you get into fights, cause trouble at school and you're a criminal.

Archimedes: Mom...

Mrs Blackwell: I mean really Archimedes, you really want to be with her than with Mathilda.

Eda: I'm sorry, what?

Eda looked over at Archimedes.

Eda: You and Matti...

Archimedes: What no! No. Eda it's not what you think.

Eda: We'll discuss this later. And you, so I'm not exactly as you quote " a lady." That's doesn't make a me a bad influence. And okay yeah, I'm known to be trouble maker and was on the run from Emperor's coven, but I wouldn't really call myself a criminal. Maybe con a guy here and there, but nothing else horrible.

Mr Blackwell: Honey...

Mrs Blackwell: Not now dear. ( to Eda) Whatever situation you got into, you brought Archimedes into it.

Eda: Are you talking about when we were kids? At worst I had him cooperate in a prank, but I was never trying to take advantage of him. I just wanted to have some fun with him. My behaviour didn't ruin him or anything and I always took the blame if we were in trouble. Is that what it's all about?

Mrs Blackwell: You know I'm willing to forget all that? All of it! If you hadn't nearly killed our son!

Her voice echoed in the room as Eda was taken back by what she said. She began to speak, but her toned softened up.

Eda: You know how sorry I am for doing that.

Mrs Blackwell: Sorry doesn't cut it! Sorry doesn't cut you almost killing him, putting him in the hospital and comotosing him.

Archimedes: Mom please...

Eda: Do you know why I stopped seeing him for a while? It's because I was protecting him from me. I was so ashamed of what I done that I ran away not just from my family, but from him because of my curse. I never asked for it and I never wanted to hurt him. I'm sorry that I brought you nothing but trouble.

Eda leaves the room and exits the house.

Archimedes: Eda wait! Mom how could you?

Mrs Blackwell: Archimedes all I'm saying is that you're better off with someone else.

Archimedes: I don't want someone else. Eda is everything to me. She's had my back ever since we were kids and my life wouldn't be the same without.

Mrs Blackwell: Even if she hurt you?

Archimedes: This was her curse's doing, not her. I know her better that's why I begged you not to drop charges on her.

Mrs Blackwell: I still don't see why?

Archimedes: Because she didn't mean it. And you had to remind her about it. Why can't you just accept us?

Mrs Blackwell: ( to her husband) Talk to him.

Mr Blackwell: ( sighs) Son, be honest. Does she really mean this much to you?

Archimedes: ( nods) Yes.

Mr Blackwell: Is she really keeping her curse under control?

Archimedes: She has.

Mr Blackwell: I see. You better go check on her.

Archimedes: Thanks dad.

Archimedes got up and left with Mrs Blackwell looking at him confused.

Mrs Blackwell: That's not what I meant with talking to him.

Mr Blackwell: Don't you think you were a bit harsh on her?

Mrs Blackwell: I have every right reason. I thought we had the same thoughts on her.

Mr Blackwell: I did for a while, back when they were kids, breaking things and getting into all sorts of craziness and trouble. But Archimedes seems to really care for her.

Mrs Blackwell: Did you forget our son almost died?

Mr Blackwell: Of course not. You know I was scared thinking he wasn't going to make it, but I don't think we should truly be blaming her.

Mrs Blackwell: And why not?

Mr Blackwell: Because that's what Dell told me.

Mrs Blackwell: What?

Mr Blackwell: You know we always meet every Thursday for Hexes Hold'em. Even though she was a trouble maker, I'm still friends with her father and it'd be unfair to make our son cut ties with her if I was friends with her dad. But several years ago, when we met up, he had eye patch over his eye. He told me how his daughter, turning into an owl beast attacked him and clawed his eye out. He said it was painful, but despite what she did, he didn't hold it against her and just wished for her to come home.

Mrs Blackwell: This is her family you're talking about.

Mr Blackwell: No. It's the people who love her that know what she's going through. I remember when I saw him, he begged me not to press charges on her because he knows it wasn't her, it was her curse. I said I wouldn't, but you were harder to convince until our boy woke up. And he knew also that it was her curse. That's why he looked for her all these years and tried to help her. Because he truly loves her.

Outside.

Archimedes exited out of the house and saw Eda standing, looking away from the house. She had one arm wrapped around her waist and her other arm covering her eyes looking upset and trying hard to not cry.

Archimedes: Eda?

She didn't answer and he approached her placing his hands on her shoulders.

Archimedes: Eda I'm so sorry for that.

Eda: I should never have come.

Archimedes: You said you wanted to make things right.

Eda: Yeah well I can't! I already know what I did, I don't need to be reminded.

Archimedes: Eda it's okay. You know I'm passed that.

Eda: It's just...does she really hate me that much?

Archimedes: My mom is just a difficult person to get through, but forget what she says. You're the only one for me Eda.

Eda: Okay then, what was it she was talking about. Did you and Matti date?

Archimedes: No, no, well sort of. But it's not what you think. About like twenty years ago, while you were still gone or I haven't found you yet, my parents wanted me to move on from looking for you and thought I should be with someone. They thought Matti would be the perfect match for me, not to mention her family is urging her to get married so they arranged a dinner date for us. But we were uncomfortable doing this.

Eda: So then, you're not attracted to her.

Archimedes: No, I mean she's nice and pretty, but dating her is like dating my sister if I had one. We ate, talked a little, but we knew it wouldn't work. You can ask her yourself, nothing happened between us. Eda you're the only witch for me.

Archimedes pulls her into a hug.

Archimedes: No matter what you do Eda, I'll always love you. No one's ever going to make me thing otherwise.

Eda calmed down a bit being in his arms and her head resting on his chest. She hugged him back, holding him tight. But then the ground began to shake. Coming out of the ground was a bipedal demon, it stood 7 feet tall and the body had some bug like exoskeleton armor on it. The majority of it was grey while the chest was yellow and the head was a big termite head with huge mandibles and black eyes. It rose out of the ground roaring at them ( stock sped up and high pitched Rodan roar).

Eda: A Termatra demon.

Archimedes: Eda get back.

Archimedes formed his staff and turned into a scythe. Termatra ran up at him and tried to grab hold of him. Archimedes pushed it back with his scythe. He formed a spell circle and fired an energy blast at the demon. His blast pushed Termatra off, but didn't seem to do much damage due to it's armor. The blade of his sythe began to glow as he swung it, the blade shot out a wave of energy at it. It was hit and pushed back, there were scrapes on the body, but didn't seem to be harmed.

Archimedes: It's exoskeleton body is too strong.

Termatra roared and charged at Archimedes. He got out of the way and was about to slashed at the head, but it had no effect and it grabbed his scythe. The two struggled to pull, but then Termatra finally took his scythe threw it aside. Before he could react, Termatra grabbed him with his mandibles and shook him around and began to crush him.

Eda: Archy!

Eda reached in her pockets to see if she had any glyphs, she had none and checked in her hair, but still, nor did she have anything to make with.

Eda: Ugh, no glyphs?

Eda instead ran up and jumped on Termatra's back and hitting the head.

Eda: Let go of my boyfriend you bug brain!

Termatra however easily pushes off Eda and continues shaking Archimedes until finally it threw him at the wall of the house. Once that happened, his parents came out.

Mrs Blackwell: What's going on here. ( gasps) Archimedes!

His mom went to check on him as he slowly got up.

Archimedes: I'm fine, mom get back inside.

They heard Termatra roaring and slowly coming towards them. Eda got up and saw it getting close to them.

Eda: No, no. Come on I can't lose like this. But I know another way.

Eda had to make contact with the Owl Beast again to become Harpy Eda. She closes her eyes and talks to it.

Eda: Hey, it's me again. I need to change again. What another deal? Are serious? Okay fine I'll do it, just change NOW!

Termatra was about to lunge at Archimedes and his parents again until it was pushed off by Harpy Eda. Archimedes and his parents gazed at her shocked but also amazed, especially Archimedes.

Archimedes: Eda?

Harpy Eda: Hey! Stay away from my boyfriend!

Harpy Eda lunged at Termatra who was barely getting up. She began punching it on the head as it tried to hit her, she jumped and flew up. Termatra looked up and roared in frustration.

Harpy Eda: Ha, you look just like an ant from up here.

Harpy Eda flew down and hit Termatra across the face, making it fall back. Once she landed it jumepd up and tried to grab her with it's mandibles. But Eda grabbed them before it could get her. She struggled trying to push them back, but with her inner strength she pushed back and broke them off it's face. Termatra roared in pain as it fell back. It began to dig and fleed underground and away from the house.

Harpy Eda: Ha! That's right you better run! You mess with him, you mess with me!

Harpy Eda turned over to Archimedes and quickly checked on him.

Harpy Eda: Archy you okay?

Archimedes: Eda, is this really you?

Harpy Eda: Oh uh yeah. You don't like it?

Archimedes: No, no it's just. You look so beautiful and majestic. I mean I'm not saying you weren't before. You always were. Though it is a bit odd seeing you taller than me.

Harpy Eda: Ugh, would you just shut up and kiss me already?

He hugged her and the two kissed. His parents watched, with his mom having a small smile and approached the two. Eda saw her coming and had a nervous look.

Mrs Blackwell: Eda.

Harpy Eda: Uh yes?

Mrs Blackwell: Back inside, I may of said some things that were uncalled for about you being with Archimedes.

Harpy Eda: No, you have every right reason to hate me.

Mrs Blackwell: ( sighs) I don't hate you, I just hate the things you do. Okay, I really do. But some people like you that way and I'm probably the odd one out. But you saved us and our son and it was really nobel of you.

Harpy Eda: Because I'll never let anything happen to Archy. And you're his parents. So...are we cool?

Mrs Blackwell: I do apologize for my mistreament. Though I can't say I forgive you for what happpened uh...that day. But it's a start and I can see you are getting it under control. Keep it at Eda, and take care of my son.

Harpy Eda smiles as she approaches her and pats her in the back, a bit hard though.

Harpy Eda: Aw thanks Mrs. B. I won't let you down.

Mrs Blackwell: Uh your welcome.

Mr Blackwell: Shall we go back in. My dinner's getting cold.

Mrs Blackwell: Really? That's what you're thinking of?

Mr Blackwell: What? It's my favoirte dish.

They try to go back in, though Harpy Eda got stuck trying to get through the door as they tried to help her in.

Harpy Eda: Aw geez not again.

Archimedes: Can't you change back?

Harpy Eda: I can't without an elixer. And I'm guessing theirs known here.

Mr Blackwell: Unfortunatly.

Later.

The two were outside the house about to leave and Archimedes has the book he was looking for.

Archimedes: Well I should get going.

Mrs Blackwell: Oh, already?

Mrs Blackwell brings Archimedes close to her as she hugs and kisses his face multiple times again.

Mrs Blackwell: Promise to call me more.

Archimedes: Yes mom, you can let go now.

Mrs Blackwell: Just a few more.

Archimedes: Mom!

She let's go and looks back at Eda laughing at him who was still in harpy mode.

Mrs Blackwell: Take of yourself Eda and please don't get Archimedes into too much trouble.

Harpy Eda: Will do Mrs B.

Mr Blackwell: Oh and Eda.

Eda turns to Mr Blackwell.

Mr Blackwell: Have you seen your dad recently?

Harpy Eda: ( looks away and frowns) Um no. Well to be honest, I haven't really seen him lately.

Mr Blackwell: You should. I think he'd want to see you.

Harpy Eda: Yeah I'll, I'll try.

The two waved goodbye as they flew off.

Archimedes: I finally found it. Come on let's head back to your place and look into this.

Harpy Eda: Before we do. Uh, I have to gather some voles and rats.

Archimedes: Why?

Harpy Eda: I promised the Owl Beast I'd eat some for it if I was to transorm.

Archimedes: ( weirded out) Oh...uh okay.

Later.

The two made back at the Owl House. Eda just finished her elixer and was back to normal and present with them was Luz, Christa, King, Hooty and Lilith.

Luz: So you actually found it?

Archimedes: Got it right here. Told you I'd find it.

Christa: Is info on the Unknown Isles really in there?

Archimedes: I'm pretty sure, but I don't remember too well.

Eda: Well don't just talk, let's read it.

Archimedes: ( sighs) Okay.

He sat on the couch as everyone else gathered and sat next to him. He flipped through the pages looking through the book.

Archimedes: Let's see now. Another dimension consisting of anthropomorphic amphibians, no. Calamity box, no. Inter-dimensional dream demon, do no summon at all costs, no. Oh here it is! The legendary archipelago, the Unknown Isles.

The came across a page with an archipelago and it too was formed by another Titan. It resembled the Boiling Isles, but the Titan looked vastly different. It resembled a skeletal dragon, but it way lying face down and the picture showed isles and a city in the center.

Luz: Is that it?

Christa: What does it say?

Archimedes: Okay ( ahem). You might know the myth of Maguma's fog of how no matter how you got through it, you'd end up right where you started. However if you were to take a very specific route, it would clear up and you would find yourself in another part of the Demon Realm and find another archipelago. This place was labeled the Unknown Isles because of how hidden it is and no known name for this place was given yet. But it wasn't just hidden, it's said to be radically different the Boiling Isles. The witches there are said to be much more advanced. Not just with magic but technology as well. This advanced civilization was huge as they studied new ways of utalizing and harnessing magic and to control their environment and culture. This place was also home to demons not known here in the Boiling Islse.

This part caught King's attention as he looked over at Luz and Christa about this part. But Christa also listened as what he was saying was just like what she saw in her dreams

Archimedes: Though we don't know they exist, they may not know we exist either.

Lilith: An advanced civilization? Incredible.

King: Demons not known here.

Hooty: Oh wow, crazy stuff. Hoot!

Luz: Has anyone ever been there?

Archimedes: No, but here's one more thing right here. Though no known witch or demon has ventured here, it is rumored however that the human who once lived here, Phillipe Whittebane found the place, however he has never revealed it's location, nor has he proven it's existence. And those that did go with him, never proved it was real nor are they alive to show us. Oh wait, guys look at this.

He found another page and showed them, it was the symbol on King's collar, his tower and Christa's pod.

King: The symbol? What does it mean?

Archimedes: It says here this is their national flag.

Luz: Of course, guys it's make perfect sense. Christa the pod you were in and King, the symbol , the tower and the fact no one knows what kind of demon you are. The witches there they have the answers. If we go there, Christa we can find your family and King your dad.

Christa: Really? They must be their worried for me.

King: So then, maybe he's there and just lost me.

Christa: Whoa, hold on kiddo. Sure, we now know more of about the Unknown Isles, but how do we get there?

Lilith: That's right, no one's ever gotten through Maguma's fog.

Luz: Right, but it said Phillip may have been there. Archy it doesn't say how he got there?

Archimedes: Unfortunately no.

Luz: So then if it's not there. Then, it has to be in the journal. But it may take a while depending on how the echomouse feels or when it wants to show us more.

Christa: It's okay Luz, at least we're a step forward figuring where I came from.

King: I still want to know if my dad is there and just see him, but I can wait a little longer.

Luz and Christa approached Archimedes and hugged him.

Luz: Archimedes thanks so much for your help.

Christa: You were so helpful.

Archimedes: ( hugging both) Hey of course, but I'm not done yet. I still want to see the two of you get home and I'll do whatever else I can to help.

Eda: Hey, told you Archy here is the best. Come here you!

Eda head locks him and noogies him.

Archimedes: Ow! Eda I told you to stop with that!

Eda: Never!

Eda continues to noogie him as everyone laughs.

Later that night.

Everyone was in bed now, but Eda and Archimedes were still in the living room.

Archimedes: Eda it was so great seeing you today. I should get going now.

Eda: Hold up, I have something for you Archy.

Archimedes: Oh what?

Eda: ( squints her eyes) Come to my room in five minutes and find out.

Eda walks up to her room as Archimedes waited a bit until he went up to her room. He went into her room, but no one was there.

Archimedes: Uh Eda?

Then he heard the door shut and turned and saw Eda wearing a red night gown that went down to her knees, could see through them showing her bra and panties and giving him a seductive look.

Eda: What do you think Archy? Do I look hot or what?

Archimedes gazed at her with his face turning red.

Archimedes: Um, uh you...you look good. Very nice.

Eda made a silent chuckle slowly approached him. She placed her hands on his chest.

Eda: Come on. You're not shy seeing me like this are you?

She pushed him onto her bed as she lunged on him.

Archimedes: Eda, what are you...

Eda: ( places finger on his lips) Shhhhh. I saw you today and you looked exhausted and stressed out. Well, your lovely Eda is about to relieve that stress. And consider this as a reward for you work.

Archimedes: I don't do it to be rewarded. I do it for you.

Eda: And this is for you.

Eda kisses him. He kissed her back as Eda removed his shirt, showing more scars on his chest and stomach and turned out the lights and spent the rest of the night together.

To be continued...

Author's Note: That's it for this chapter. I know this probably wasn't my best and wasn't that interesting, but did this to bring in more of my lore, to introduce Archy's parents and for a little drama. But I promise the next arc is gonna be better and I'm excited for it. And for those who haven't heard yet, both Owl house and Amphibia are set to return March 19th. Even though I planned the second half of this story after Yesterday's lie with my own lore, I will try to retrofit the new episodes here, depending how the story goes and to pace it out, I got lots of other arcs with other characters to tell. Because keep in mind, my story isn't going to play out exactly whatever the show has in store. If you liked this chapter, be sure to follow, favorite and review. As always thank you and until next time.
