Rachel and Spencer left to go to the police station where they took a restraining order out against Chloe. The police officers had slightly tried to convince Rachel to press charges against Chloe but Rachel firmly said that she only wanted a restraining order. When the two friends had finished at the police station, they went back to Rachel's apartment to get some of her things and then went to the local takeaway to get some things. They then went back to Spencer's apartment and watched movies late into the night.

It had been a few days since the incident at Rachel's apartment and Spencer had gone back to work. Once Rachel found out that Spencer barely ate lunch at work or would eat takeaway, she started making packed lunches for him. Sometimes it would be sandwiches or pasta or even if there was leftover dinner from the night before, that would become Spencer's lunch. Whatever Spencer had for lunch, Rachel made sure it was healthy and nutritious. With Spencer going back to work in the last few days, the two friends created a new routine. Rachel would be up before Spencer, making him coffee and some light breakfast knowing that Spencer didn't really eat anything before going to work. Spencer would then leave for work and Rachel would either go back to sleep for another hour or would go for a run. Spencer had given Rachel a spare key, noting wanting her to feel trapped inside the apartment while he was at work. Rachel too felt confident and trusted Spencer and gave him the spear key to her apartment. As Spencer was at work, Rachel would clean the apartment a bit before settling down and focusing and studying for a new degree that she was planning on getting. By the time Spencer would come home, Rachel would have started to make dinner and Spencer would jump into the shower before coming to have dinner. The two would eat and discuss what they had done for that day. When dinner was over, they would watch tv and play a few games of chess. Rachel was better at the game and was becoming a slight challenge to Spener. They would later do their things, before saying goodnight to each other. It was a good routine and it worked well for them.

One day at work when everything was quiet and Spencer had finished all his paperwork, he decided that wanted to speak to Garcia. Even though Rachel had put a restraining order on Chloe, Spencer still wanted to know more about the situation and maybe mess with Chloe.

He knocked on the door of Gracia's office.

"You may enter the bat cave if you will," Gracia called out.

"Hey Gracia," Spencer said as he walked in. "You're not busy are you?"

"For you Jr G-Man, I am no longer busy," Gracia said as she spun around on her chair to look at Spencer. "What can I help you with?"

"I was wondering if you could bring up the records of Chloe Jenkins. She lives near the District of Columbia near the metro there. She is about maybe 27 or 28. Blonde and as of recently a restraining order was put on her." Spencer said.

Garcia was looking at her screen, "Does she look like this?" Showing Spencer a picture of Chloe on her screen.

"Yes, that's her! Does she have any previous records?" Spencer asked.

"Umm, she has a few parking and speeding tickets. She was cautioned about 2 years ago for inappropriate behaviour towards another member of the public. But apart from that recent restraining order, there's barely anything on her. She went to a good school, has a degree in business. Oh! About four months ago, she lost her fiancé who was a cop on active duty when he was killed. Murder was never caught. Poor woman." Gracia turned to face Spencer. "Why are you interested in her? Is she your new girlfriend?" Gracia asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

Spencer rolled his eyes. "No, she is definitely not my girlfriend and will never be my girlfriend. I wanted to know if she had a pass with being violent."

"From what I can see, no she doesn't. Maybe a few anger issues that she needs to work on, but nothing really at least not from her records. Is she threatening you or something?! Can I attack her?" Gracia asked, looking slightly angry.

"No, she hasn't hurt me and she won't either. She's just been annoying one of my neighbours recently and I wanted to know if she might turn violent against them." Spencer said.

Gracia nodded. "Oh okay. Just make sure you stay safe ok Jr G-man."

"I will," Spencer said as his phone bleeped letting him know he received a text.

It was from Hotch telling everyone that they could leave an hour early seeing that practically everyone had finished their paperwork and there weren't any cases coming in.

Spencer got his things as soon as he could and left before everyone else and texted Rachel that he might be late coming home and not to cook because he would get takeaway on the way home. Rachel replied with a thumbs up.

For the last few days, Spencer has been wanting to clean Rachel's apartment, getting rid of all the glass that was scattered around the floor. When he reached Rachel's apartment, he let himself in using the key Rachel had given him and began cleaning up all the glass around. Around 2 hours later, Spencer cleaned up the floor, took the trash out, and put the furniture in their original space. He was pleased with his work and called it a night and left Rachel's apartment.

When he arrived home, Spencer was carrying a pizza. As he entered the house, he heard Rachel on the phone.

"I'm fine Hannah, I promise. And I wouldn't lie to you, now would I?" Rachel asked and waved at Spencer when she saw him.

"Hannah! I can look after myself perfectly fine. I don't need you babying me." Rachel said to the person on the phone as she went into the kitchen to get some plates.

"Hannah I promise you that I'm okay. You don't need to worry about me. I promise" Rachel said. "Look if it brings you any comfort, tomorrow, I will come into work for you to see that I am perfectly fine. No? Then I'll see you in two days." Rachel said as she hung up.

"Hey, Spence. How was work?" Rachel asked.

"Just boring paperwork," Spencer said as he walked over where Rachel was standing. "I bought some pizza," He smiled.

Rachel gave a smile in return, "That's great, we really need to do another food shop."

And Spencer nodded. "We can go tomorrow when I finish work if you want?"

"That works for me," Rachel said.

As two friends began to eat, they started watching a new episode of Doctor Who. Once the episode was over, Spencer finally decided to voice his question.

"Ray, I know you don't have to tell me, but who was speaking to you earlier?"

"Oh, it was Hannah. She's my boss and my part-time mom. When I first joined the hospital, I was this naive girl who had never really had any practice with the human body before. Sure I knew the theory but having to practise it was completely different. And maybe she saw that I needed a paternal figure in my life, so she took me under her wing. To me, she is a mother, but to Jayden, he didn't see her as a paternal figure so he wasn't close to her. I'm also close to her husband, who's like a father to me. He too works at the hospital."

Spencer nodded. "What do you mean she's part-time though?"

"Like when I'm at work, she's my boss, not my mother. Same with her husband who is Hannah's boss. During work hours, they're my bosses and no favouritism is shown. But when work hours end we become a little family. Hannah was wondering how I was seeing I hadn't been going round to their house."

"Oh, you can go if you want to. I don't want you to feel like you can't," Spencer said worriedly.

"Spence, don't worry about it. I needed some time away from them. They have a habit of being overprotective, thinking I'm made of glass. While grieving, that was probably the last thing I needed."

Spencer nodded. "When are you due back into work?"

"Next month, so I have a few more weeks left."

They sat in silence until Spencer blurted out, "I finished work early today. I went to your apartment and cleaned it up."

Rachel looked at him and gave him a small smile before pulling Spencer into a hug. Spencer froze for a second before he relaxed and hugged Rachel back.

"Thank you," Rachel whispered, sounding as if she was going to cry.

"It's okay Ray," Spencer said into the hug.

Even though the hug went on for a few more minutes, Spencer was more than comfortable with the hug.
