Chapter Ten: Pt. I

The tenth thing at Christmas that's such a pain to me:

Batteries Not Included

(No parking spaces

BUY ME SOMETHIN'

Get a job, ya bum!

Oh, facing my in-laws

Five months of bills!

Yo-ho, sending Christmas cards

Oh, geez, look at this

One light goes out, they ALL go out!

And finding a Christmas tree)

"Drink, drink, drink, drink!"

Aubrey throws back a shot in a red solo cup labeled 'peppermint vodka' at the bottom then adds it to her stack of empty red and green cups.

"Fat Amy, you're up." Cynthia-Rose tosses her a ping-pong ball.

Fat Amy tosses it from the chair into a cup on the coffee table and everyone erupts into yelling – including Aubrey, who may have finally found something it costs to be good at.

'Cheer Pong' is what the Bellas are calling this. The rules are similar to Beer Pong, only the cups on the table are arranged into the shape of a Christmas tree. Each cup has some 'holiday drink' concoction in it – green cups being the lowest alcohol content and red cups being so strong that Beca's insides are still burning from the one shot she drank at the very beginning of the game when they were all 'required' to take a shot.

"Beca, you're up."

Beca tosses the ball and lands it inside one of the green cups – thank god. She's suddenly not feeling so bad about being one of those kids who never won a goldfish at the county fair.

"Drink, drink, drink, drink!"

It's something creamy and gingerbread flavored and, like the drinks in the other green cups, it's actually really good. "Did you make these?" she asks Amy.

"Stacie made the green cups," Amy answers then makes a face of disgust at Beca – who doesn't need to ask who made the red ones.

"Well I think I'm gonna turn in for the night," Cynthia-Rose says and gathers up her empty cups.

"No, no, no," Aubrey holds a hand out to stop her, "One more round."

"Dude, you're already winning," Beca points out, "By a landslide."

"Some of us got early flights," Cynthia-Rose says.

"And some of us still need to figure out how we're sneaking in and out of the country," Flo adds.

"Wait," Stacie stops them, beaming, "Before you all go to bed, I got everyone gifts."

"You didn't have to do that," Beca joins in the chorus of everyone voicing their appreciation.

Stacie hands out various sized boxes to everyone - and then two very small sized wrapped cylinders to Beca and Aubrey.

Beca's gift can either be a really bad thing seeing as it looks similar to Aubrey's or, possibly, a really good thing Beca decides as Cynthia-Rose opens hers to reveal a large strap on penis. "Did you get everybody strap-ons?" she asks when Jessica and Ashley open their shared gift to the exact same thing, only smaller and pink.

"No," Stacie answers, "I decided to be practical this year."

"This is aca-mazing," Chloe claims, peeling the wrapping paper from her gift, "It hooks up to bluetooth?"

Beca looks over, fully expecting to see some sort of speaker. Instead, she regrets not drinking from more red cups when she sees a box containing some sort of 'musical' vibrator.

"It vibrates along to the beat," Stacie confirms.

As if Beca already can't hear Chloe playing Titanium in her room without knowing what's going on in there.

"You'll need batteries though," Stacie says, "They're not included. It takes two Double As." She smiles, looking incredibly proud of herself. "Are you guys going to open yours?"

Aubrey and Beca stop gawking at Chloe's…vibrator…to open their own gifts. "Oh," Aubrey squeaks, getting hers unwrapped first.

Beca tears several layers of paper away until she understands Aubrey's reaction. In her hand is one Double A battery – and Aubrey is holding the other.
