Chapter Two: Decisions

Scarlatina was exited. She had just met the rusalka girl, Galena Kendrick of Hufflepuff.
I must tell about it to Siur, she thought. Siur will be exited, too.

Rusalkas were rare. Galena Kendrick was the only rusalka to attend Hogwarts. Actually she was only a half rusalka, but that mattered little. It was rumoured that her father had been seduced by rusalka while touring in Europe. Whether was it true or not, it was clear that Galena's mother had really been a rusalka. Her hair were greenish blue and her eyes black, exactly like rusalka's. Headmaster Dumbledore had to ask a permission to invite Galena to Hogwarts. Rusalkas were dangerous creatures, but she was only a half breed and Ministry of Magic accepted her easily.

Today Galena had approached her and told about her vision. Galena's vision exactly like her own prophecy. Not a coincidence, but destiny.

Siur was debating with Venecia, when Scarlatina entered the Ravenclaw common room.
"I told you it would be so! Why wouldn't..." Siur's voice sounded angry. Venecia's face was red. Scarlatina knew that she had lost the debate. Nobody argued better than Siur.
"Evening. I see you are having a conversation," Scarlatina tried to ease the tension. It's quite stupid when friends are yelling at each other.
"You wouldn't guess what happened today! I met..." she began, but Siur interrupted her.
"I know, I know. We saw you talking to her. So, what did she tell?"
Scarlatina drew her breath. "About the prophecy. She had it, too. I knew it was something big and important. We discussed it and we reached to a conclusion"
"And what is the conclusion?" asked Venecia, who seemed to have calmed down.
"We must form a resistance movement to fight with Dark Lord!" Scarlatina explained.
"Oh dear! You have gone mad! The rusalka has bewitched you!" Siur gasped in horror.
"You silly thing! We discussed it thoroughly. Remember, it said: only living by dying. The Dark Lord is only one who died but lived on. He was undone, but still he exists. So it must be about him," Scarlatina explained as Siur and Venecia were listening to her.
Siur fidgeted. "Let's say we form a resistance. But who will join us? Everyone is afraid of Dark Lord"
Scarlatina had thought about it. "Me, you, Galena, anyone who wants. Nobody will be rejected, I think"
Venecia, who had listened silently, objected.
"Well, don't get me a coward, but I want to live longer than you," she said.
Siur looked at her. "We don't think you are a coward. What we will do is very dangerous. You are wise and probably you'll live longer than we. But I want to try, and so does Scarlatina. Scarla, what do you say"
Scarlatina nodded. "I'm with you"
"I'll tell others, too, about our thoughts. I'm sure Yerica will also join us. Her father was killed by Vol... by Dark Lord. She hates him deeply," Siur said.
"Galena will be happy. She may ask others to join us. We could gather a great forces. How do we call us"
Siur stood up. "We will try to banish the darkness, to bring out the light again. Something that is like light in darkness, I think"
"How about Sisterhood of the Candles? Candle is like light in darkness," Scarlatina offered.

Siur smiled. "Perfect," was all she said.
