You're Beautiful

Author's Note: This is a song-fic to the song, "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt. It's kind of angsty. I just saw the music video for it this morning, and I got the idea from it. I hope you like it. It's kind of Lisa/Jackson, but kind of not, if that makes any sense at all.

Disclaimer: I no own, you no sue. Got it?

Summary: Jackson thinks about what might have been, and what never will be.

By the way, before I start, does anyone know why Jackson adjusted his watch at the beginning of the movie? It's really bugging me because I can't figure it out.

Jackson sat back and looked at the picture of Lisa that he had taken from her father's wallet. He sighed.

My life is brilliant.

My life is brilliant.

My love is pure.

I saw an angel.

Of that I'm sure.

She smiled at me on the subway.

She was with another man.

But I won't lose sleep on that,

'Cause I've got a plan.

'How could I be so stupid?' Jackson thought. 'I loved her!' He mentally slapped himself. 'Now she'll never know how I felt about her!'

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.

You're beautiful, it's true.

I saw your face, in a crowded place,

And I don't know what to do,

'Cause I'll never be with you.

Jackson realized how much he had to tell her, so he got a pen and paper and started to write a letter to Lisa. He thought about how he was going to phrase it.

Yeah, she caught my eye,

As we walked on by.

She could see from my face that I was,

Fucking high,

And I don't think, that I'll see her again,

But we shared a moment that will last to the end.

A week later, Lisa got a letter in the mail from Jackson. She was scared to open it, but she did, just out of curiosity. Why on earth would he be writing to me? It's been a year! And I thought that he was dead! As she began to read, she started to cry. So now he really is dead.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.

You're beautiful, it's true.

I saw your face, in a crowded place,

And I don't know what to do,

'Cause I'll never be with you.

At the funeral, Lisa laid a flower on his grave. She started to cry as she said, "God, Jackson! Why? Did you think that I didn't have a crush on you, too? Why didn't you tell me? I could have helped you!" She leaned down and kissed his coffin, and walked away, sobbing.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.

You're beautiful, it's true.

There must be an angel, with a smile on her face,

When she thought up that I should be with you.

But it's time to face the truth,

I will never be with you.

FIN

Well? Did you like it? I really suck at song-fics, but I just thought that it had to be written. Sorry if it's really sappy or sucks, because, like I said, I suck at this kind of story. I hope you liked it. There may be a sequel in the future, but I really can't think of a good song for Lisa. If you have any ideas, please let me know.
