Chapter Fourteen: The Incident
"Now for today's basic hero training… This time, All Might, myself and one other will supervise." Aizawa stood before the class, as their heroics teacher, All Might, was out and about doing his heroic deeds.
Which left Aizawa to take up his slack work, and boy was he not happy about it.
Izuku sat surprised in his seat at the mention of this news, 'This time? So it's a special class?' He pondered, sharing a quick look with Kyouka who only shrugged, she was just as confused.
"Um, what're we doing exactly?" Hanta Sero raised his hand and questioned. It was a fair question to ask, it wasn't always that they had 3 teachers supervising a lesson like this.
"Preparing you for disaster relief, from fires to floods. It's rescue training." He answered blandly. The class began to grow excited at the mention of this, this was what being a hero was all about and they were quite pumped for it.
"Hey, I'm not done." Aizawa stated, glaring at the class and making them pipe down. "It's up to each of you whether or not you wear your costumes, as some of them are ill-suited for this sort of activity." He said, pressing the remote that released their hero costumes from the wall.
"The site is a bit remote, so we'll be going by bus. That's all, so get ready." He explained, leaving the class so that they could get their costumes and get ready.
Unfortunately the jacket for Izuku's costume was still being repaired due to the loss of his sleeve, so he simply went without it.
"Man, I can't believe I have to wait a week to get a jacket fixed." He exclaimed as he walked out of the locker room where he had changed, Kyouka had waited outside for him much to his surprise.
"Well, what do you expect? Your whole sleeve got destroyed." She replied, as the two walked together to the bus. She did have a point, the mixture of being singed and ripped by pure strength alone was going to leave him jacketless.
"True, but now I'm stuck without it." He said as he adjusted the elbow guards that sat over his long sleeve. Kyouka was lucky enough, or unluckily enough, to notice that his shirt was quite a tight fit for the boy.
His muscles were quite defined through it and she was going to take in this sight and burn it into her memory.
"W-Well, don't you keep that leather jacket that we got from the mall in your locker?" She questioned. It was true, Izuku had decided that if anything were to happen to his school uniform he'd wear that instead as a coverup seeing as everything else he had to wear was All Might themed.
So he decided to store it in his school locker just in case, and now that Kyouka was bringing it up he could use it right about now…
"Hey, yeah! C-Could you do a favor and tell Aizawa-Sensei I'll be a bit late? I'm gonna go grab it." He said, already running off before she could give a response. Kyouka sighed, and headed off to the bus.
Soon Izuku joined the rest of the class, as they had already boarded the bus.
Unfortunately Kyouka couldn't save a seat for him as his seat was occupied by Momo Yaoyorozu, Kyouka gave him an apologetic look but he simply smiled and waved to the two of them. It was good that she was making other friends.
Izuku ended up sitting beside their resident frog girl, Tsuyu Asui. She was a blunt girl, but very polite nonetheless. Izuku could definitely see himself becoming her friend sometime in the future.
"I generally say what's on my mind, Midoriya." She spoke suddenly, surprising the boy.
"Oh? W-What is it Asui?" He asked, as she mumbled a quick "Call me Tsuyu,".
"Your quirk resembles All Might's." She stated, bluntly. Izuku flinched, but before he could stutter out a response Eijirou Kirishima suddenly spoke up.
"Hold up, Tsuyu, All Might doesn't get hurt, though. They're already different in that way." He defended, unknowingly being completely wrong.
The class then got into a discussion about quirks and how you need to appear "flashy" to be a great hero.
The conversation even led to Bakugou getting bullied which got an evil smirk out of Kyouka and a panic attack from Izuku.
Speaking of Kyouka, there was a specific reason that Izuku was left out of sitting near them as Kyouka and Yaomomo were having an interesting conversation.
"So, Jirou-San." Momo said when she had taken Izuku's seat. "Mind telling me what's going on between you and, Midoriya-Kun?"
Kyouka glared at the girl slightly, "What do you mean..?" She inquired. This definitely made red flags go off in Kyouka's head, however because she was her friend she decided not to jump to any conclusions.
"Well, it's just come to my attention that you two are quite close, and… I don't mean to be one to assume, but you like him, don't you?" Momo questioned, as Kyouka's expression went from a glare to a surprised, but flustered one.
Her earjacks coiled slightly at her own embarrassment, and Momo just softly giggled.
"So I was right." She stated softly. Kyouka looked down at the ground and just slightly nodded her head.
"W-Was it that obvious..?" She questioned, albeit a bit coyly. Momo wondered if she was really this oblivious to her surroundings? She must really live in her own "Midoriya-land".
"Unfortunately.." She revealed, "But you know, I have a suspicion he likes you too."
Now that got Kyouka's attention, this could be a saving grace for what's been plaguing her mind.
"W-What makes you say that..?" She questioned, her eagerness showing through her tough demeanor.
Momo simply pointed to the door of the bus and as Izuku stepped inside, clad with that black leather jacket, he immediately searched the bus and locked eyes with her.
The smile on his face as they locked eyes made her heart skip a beat, but she did her best to hide her blush as she gave him an apologetic look. Momo unfortunately stole his seat…
He just gave a smile and a wave, and found a seat elsewhere. And Kyouka realized that Momo had a point. He didn't give that sort of smile to anyone aside from her, she was special to him and this was when she truly felt it.
Kyouka looked at Momo who simply smiled at her. How didn't she see it before?
She shouldn't have been so worried over who he was crushing on, it was so obvious with how often he'd try to spend time with her even when she was being stubborn…
And she liked him just as much. She wanted to spend time with the boy and have fun with him, but not only that she wished to be comforted by him when she felt down and wanted to be held by him like she had many times before.
"Yaomomo, I'm such an idiot."
The class soon found themselves in front of the USJ and as the bus came to a halt, Aizawa stood up in front of the class.
"We're here. Look sharp, now." He stated, stepping out of the bus first. The rest of the class soon spilled out of the bus and stood outside of the massive building.
The class followed Aizawa inside as The Space Hero Thirteen waited for them inside. The two teachers shared a small quiet chat as to why All Might wasn't there, only for Aizawa to find out that he had exhausted himself during his morning commute to school.
"He really is the height of irrationality…" Aizawa groaned, before turning to the rest of the students. "So be it. Let's get started." He exclaimed.
Thirteen waved his 3 fingers in the air, "Before we start I have a few points I'd like to bring up." He stated, turning to the class.
He then began to explain his quirk, "Black Hole" and while it can be used to save lives it can also be used to end them. He explained hero morals and how they needed to learn to be careful with their quirks as to not accidentally kill people.
"Great. First off…" Aizawa started as Thirteen finished his speech. Unfortunately he was cut off as a purple vortex swirled in the middle of the USJ, Aizawa quickly noticed the portal as a man stepped through it.
A man with hands all over his body stepped through the portal, and not long after a gang of villains followed suit.
"HUDDLE UP AND DON'T MOVE!" Aizawa shouted at the class as he readied himself for battle. "Thirteen! Protect the students!" He exclaimed as more and more villains rushed out of the portal.
The class was confused, and Kyouka, being frightened, held onto Izuku. He took notice of her shaking in fear, but she wasn't alone. He was also terrified, but he'd be damned if they laid a finger on her.
"Don't move." Aizawa instructed the class, pulling his goggles down over his eyes. "Those are villains!" He exclaimed, rushing down to take them on.
"Is All Might here…?" The blue haired man questioned, whipping his face up to glare at the students through the hand over his face. "No? Then I wonder if some dead kids will bring him here!?"
The man's army soon rushed forward as Aizawa ran to intercept them. The students were all in a panic, and unsure of what to do.
Aizawa battled his way through the villains, canceling quirks and dealing crushing blows to many of the villains surrounding him.
The students were in awe as Aizawa plowed his way through hundreds of the villains as if they were nothing but small fry. Izuku had apparently been muttering, analyzing what moves Aizawa was pulling off, but Iida soon grabbed his shoulder, making both him and Kyouka turn to the boy.
"Now's not the time for analysis, we need to evacuate now!" He exclaimed, as the three teens rushed for the doors.
Suddenly the class was brought to a halt as the purple mist from before appeared before the students.
"I won't allow that." A distorted voice said, as the mist suddenly grew a face and body.
"Greetings. We are the League of Villains." The man introduced, "Forgive our audacity, but today we've come here to UA High School- This bastion of heroism to end the life of All Might, the Symbol of Peace." He declared, shocking the students to their very core.
The villains were here for a direct attack on the symbol of peace, Izuku grit his teeth, and shook violently. They were here to kill All Might..? But he couldn't let that happen, he was just getting a grip on how to use his quirk and All Might was his mentor. He couldn't lose him.
Kyouka noticed him in his fear-induced state and gripped his arm tighter, snapping him out of it. He glanced at her, his eyes full of fear and the two shared a glance with each other before turning back to the villain.
Before they had realized it Bakugou and Kirishima rushed the villain, as he had surrounded the class with his violet mist. Presumably how he was able to transport in.
"Not if we end you first." Kirishima exclaimed, as his arms stood hardened, ready to attack again. "Betcha didn't see that coming!"
"That was close…" The villain admitted, "Yes, though you may be students, you are the best of the best."
Suddenly his body began to expand, he was going to separate the class. Thirteen realized this and called out to the two boys.
"No, get back! Both of you!" He shouted, before his body began to consume the two boys closest to the villain. Soon after, the rest of the class followed suit, and Kyouka and Izuku were separated.
As the two of them were sucked into the warp gate, Izuku reached out for Kyouka as a last ditch effort. He couldn't lose her.
'Please reach..!' He shouted as their fingertips grazed one another. Kyouka was soon sucked into the warp gate right in front of his very eyes.
"KYOUKA!"
Izuku found himself falling endlessly in a pitch black abyss. He couldn't reach her, he couldn't save her… And now where was he going to end up? Eternally falling like this?
He soon found his answer as he began to fall straight onto the boat in the flood zone area. He soon felt himself get yanked midair as he neared the boat, it appeared that he wasn't alone as Tsuyu's tongue was wrapped around the boy's waist.
"Ah, Midoriya! Glad you're alright. Seems we got separated from the rest of the class." She stated, as she put the boy back on his own two feet. Thank the gods he didn't get slammed straight onto the floor like… Was that Mineta?
"A-Ah, yeah… Thanks, Asui-san." He said, gratefully. Though he was definitely distracted, he needed to find Kyouka and fast. They needed to regroup with the rest of the class.
"We need to find the other's and contact a teacher." He stated, trying to get access to his communications headset. Unfortunately it seemed that the signal was getting jammed.
"They knew our schedule… They must've broken in yesterday with the press. I'm not getting a signal." He stated in frustration. He wouldn't be able to connect to Kyouka's frequency, her headset was probably getting jammed too.
"My guess is that they figured out some way to kill All Might. That's the only reason they'd attempt an attack like this." Tsuyu stated bluntly. Izuku flinched, and glared at the girl but knew that she meant nothing by it.
"U-Uh… W-We got company." Mineta spoke up, as he peeked off the side of the boat. And sure enough there was a group of aquatic villains waiting for them right in the waters of the flood zone. "A-A whole school of them!"
Izuku peered off the ledge, and saw the villains waiting for them to drop down into the waters. They were stuck here and had nothing to get back to land, the ship was a fake so it didn't work.
Izuku began to wonder, what's their motive? Just to kill All Might? No, there had to be a greater reason. A reason…
'Hell if I know!?' He exclaimed as he turned to the two in front of him. They had to do something to stop these villains, even if they were only in training.
"If there's even a chance that they have a way to beat All Might… Then we have to stop them." Izuku proclaimed, knowing that he'd have to put aside finding Kyouka. He knew that she'd be safe, she knew how to defend herself and she was going to be a great hero. She had to be.
Kyouka stood at attention, sword in hand as she had been left with Momo and Kaminari. She would groan at this situation but she had bigger fish to fry right now.
The class all prepared to take on the villains, as the ones that were left at the entrance had to deal with getting the pros.
"Physical attacks are no good. He just warps away! This guy's quirk is too tough to handle!" Sero proclaimed, as their endless onslaught of attacks seemed to prove fruitless. Thirteen sighed, he knew what the best course of actions would be, but should they risk a student's life like this?
"Iida! Run back to the school and report what's happening! They've jammed our comms and you're the only one fast enough to reach there in time!" He explained.
Iida hesitated, knowing that he shouldn't leave his classmates in the dust like this. However, he knew that he had to do this, and made a dash for the door.
"We'll provide all the support you need! Just go!" Uraraka exclaimed, readying herself for the fight. Kurogiri attempted to intercept the boy, but Thirteen used his quirk, "Blackhole" on him, halting him from getting anywhere.
Iida successfully made his way out of the USJ and ran for the main building, he needed to hurry and quick!
Back with Izuku, he had tried to get the other's on board with taking the villains on, but Mineta had a few… Complaints.
"How can we possibly fight, you dumbass!? These guys might even be tough enough to kill All Might! You're contradicting yourself Midoriya! Our only hope is to hide somewhere until the UA heroes come to rescue us!" He ranted, as Izuku and Tsuyu just gave him an annoyed glare.
"Mineta." Izuku started, sighing in annoyance, "They brought us to the flood zone not knowing that Tsuyu has a quirk suited for aquatic areas. They don't know about our quirks! We have an advantage!" He explained. Mineta was going to complain some more, but Izuku was right.
These villains came here with no idea about their quirks, so they could definitely surprise them. However, the question is; would it even work?
"I know you think it won't work, but the only way we can win this is if we exploit the fact they don't know about our quirks." Izuku continued, adjusting his weighted-knuckle gloves.
Suddenly the boat began to shake, it seems the villains got bored waiting in the water for them to make a move. Before they even realized it, the boat was split in two! They were going to sink!
Mineta panicked and frantically threw his hair balls straight into the water, causing the villains to back away out of sheer unknowingness.
"See! There! They're afraid of it!" Izuku pointed out, a single villain pushing them away with water. He sighed, realizing what he had to do.
'Act like Kacchan, Izuku. It'll all be over soon.' He thought, as he leaped off the boats railing, hovering above the enemies.
"GO TO HELL!" He proclaimed, as he charged 100% of OFA into his finger, and flicked it to create a whirlpool in the water. Tsuyu quickly caught on and grabbed Izuku with her tongue, and picked up Mineta.
Mineta began throwing more of his balls into the water, the villains getting stuck together in the whirlpool as Tsuyu leaped all the way back to solid ground outside of the flood zone.
As they landed, Izuku gripped the palm of his hand and exhalled shakily in pain. Luckily he had a finger splint in his utility belt, and was quick to retrieve it.
"Agh…" He groaned, exhausted. At least they got away from the villains, but there was Aizawa still in the center area still fighting the villains. Izuku couldn't help but look around to see if he could spot Kyouka at all.
Unfortunately, she was in the mountain rescue area and he couldn't get any sight of her position. An idea then popped into his head.
'Surely she'd hear this right?' He wondered, as he cleared his throat, and moved his hands to his mouth in hopes it would amplify his voice.
"KYOUKA! I'M ALRIGHT, KEEP FIGHTING LIKE THE HERO YOU ARE!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. That was definitely a bad move as villains began to close in on them, but Izuku expected as much as he activated 3% of OFA and got into a fighting stance.
'Make it through this okay, Kyouka..!'
Kyouka fended off most of the villains around her, and her Momo and Kaminari paused as the villains around them laid beaten. In the fight Kyouka had essentially used Kaminari as a stun gun and it had actually worked surprisingly well.
Kyouka had also nearly lost one of the speakers in their fight. The fight left the trio exhausted, however, they were able to make it through their wave of villains alright. Or so they had thought…
A villain rose from the earth beneath them as Momo had finally made a new uniform for herself, she unfortunately had a wardrobe malfunction as she had to make a large item that ripped her costume to pieces.
With Kaminari completely fried it was up to the two of them to fight the villain, but he too had an electricity quirk!? How were they going to win this..
Kyouka didn't have anything to defend herself with that didn't conduct electricity, but… Would she be able to cancel the surges of electricity? Surely not, if it wasn't being channeled through something there was no way it would work.
She was doomed, and she didn't even know if Izuku was safe. He was out there, maybe even getting himself hurt, but what was she to do..?
She then heard a voice, "KYOUKA!" It beckoned, "I'M ALRIGHT! KEEP FIGHTING LIKE THE HERO YOU ARE!"
"I-Izuku..?" She said thoughtlessly. He was okay! He was alive, and she wasn't going to let herself be separated from him much longer.
Kyouka determined herself prepared, and as the man discharged electricity at the girl she plugged her jacks into both boots and blasted a soundwave to rival Present Mic's voice.
The man was knocked unconscious, and as she got a good look at the villain she realized it was the assailant from before. The man who attacked her that fateful night and she had beaten him. She actually beat him.
"Suck it, Jackass!" She exclaimed, smiling at her victory. She quickly looked back to see Momo smiling at her, and Kaminari mindlessly followed her as he walked around with his thumbs up.
"Thank goodness, Jirou-san!" Momo exclaimed as the trio grouped up before they made their descent down the mountain.
Unfortunately the sight before them was one of horror, as there stood Izuku right in front of a massive behemoth of a man with a beak. Aizawa was on the ground somewhere completely unconscious, and the greenette was shaking in fear.
"Oh no, Izuku..!" She screamed, as the nomu gripped the boy's arm, ready to break it.
Time seemed to move in slow motion for Kyouka as she witnessed Tsuyu try to reach her tongue for the boy, as the blue haired man with hands over his face reached his hand towards her.
'No..! Someone please..!' She silently hoped that someone would save them, she hadn't even realized that she had begun to run in to save the boy but she was too far away to reach him in time.
It was like Izuku said, she had moved without thinking. And before she or anyone else could make a sudden move the doors to the USJ broke open. Everyone halted their movements, as loud footsteps were heard all across the building, and the behemoth of a man, All Might himself walked through the threshold.
"Fear not." He exclaimed, stepping towards the students at the entrance. Unfortunately for the villains, the man was not sporting his usual grin. No, his face was adorned with a glare similar to Izuku's as he was filled with pure rage.
"FOR I AM HERE!"
"Ah…" The blue haired man said, seeming to become more relaxed at the arrival of the Number one hero. Him and the nomu stopped what they were doing and released the students as they turned their attention onto the Number One.
It had seemed that Iida had encountered All Might on his way to the building before heading off to get the rest of the on-site heroes. All Might looked down to his fallen colleague, Thirteen.
'He's not smiling..!' Both Kyouka and Izuku thought, his glare sending waves of fear through them. He was serious.
Without anyone even seeing All Might move he smashed his way through hordes of villains in a grand display of power and made his way to Aizawa who had been laying on the ground unconscious.
"I'm sorry, Aizawa." He said softly, picking the man up in his arms. He then turned his attention to the students and before they could even process what was happening he had picked them all up and carried them to safety.
"Everyone to the entrance. Take Aizawa with you, hurry!" He instructed, Izuku didn't even hesitate and began to pick up their homeroom teacher. Kyouka locked eyes with him and headed over, helping him carry the man.
"C-Come on…" She said, as her, Izuku, Tsuyu, and Mineta all made a run for it, straight for the entrance.
"W-Wait, All Might! E-Even my full strength wasn't enough you m-might-" Izuku began to say, trying to warn the hero, however he was interrupted.
"Midoriya. Kid." All Might interrupted, turning to the boy with a smile. "Fear not!"
Izuku nodded, and helped the others carry Aizawa up the stairs. As they made their way to the rest of the students, Izuku looked back to see All Might battling the Nomu.
He had the Nomu in a hold, and prepared to suplex it. Izuku worried about the man. They might have a way to kill All Might and the students were stuck there, helpless. They'd only slow him down if they were to try and interfere so all they could do was hope and trust in the man.
Izuku and Kyouka were the only one's present to know the man's secret, but what if the villains knew and were going to exploit that? What would they do then?
As the smoke cleared from All Might's massive suplex, it was revealed that Kurogiri had freed himself and had helped the Nomu get a hold on the man. Right on his weak-spot.
"What? You wanted to seal his movements in the concrete? It wouldn't have worked, the Nomu is as powerful as you." The hand faced man revealed, joy present in his tone. "Well done, Kurogiri. Perfect timing, really."
The Nomu gripped harder into All Might's side, and caused him to start bleeding heavily. He tried to free himself from his grasp, only for it to be in vain as the Nomu's grip was like a vice.
'No..! All Might!' Thought as he released his hold on Aizawa. He needed to act now, before it was too late! He was about to run before Kyouka grabbed his wrist.
"Izuku! Please..!" She begged, she didn't want to see him go down there and get himself hurt, but they needed to do something to save All Might. They both knew he was in danger, and Izuku wasn't going to let anyone get in his way.
"...I'm sorry." He said, removing a glove from his hand and placing it on her cheek. He looked her in the eyes.
'If this is going to be my last moments, I might as well not have any regrets…' He thought, as he looked down at Kyouka's lips. 'Yeah… No regrets.'
He then moved closer to her and quickly kissed her, it was just a small peck but it sent shockwaves through the girl's body and she had no idea how to feel. But before she could say anything to the boy he ran off to save All Might.
"Take care of Aizawa for me." He said, dashing off to the battlefield before them. He couldn't let All Might die, there were still so many things that he needed All Might to teach him!
"ALL MIGHT!" Izuku screamed, grabbing the attention of everyone present. Kurogiri whipped around and tried to consume the boy in mist, but Izuku dodged it as Bakugou Katsuki himself slammed a right hook straight into the villain's body.
"GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE!" He exclaimed, slamming the villain to the ground.
Ice began to crack around the area as Shouto Todoroki froze the Nomu in place. Even Kirishima made an appearance as he tried to make a slash for the hand-faced man, only for him to dodge.
Kirishima backed away with the rest of the students as Shigaraki stood alone. Izuku in front of the rest of the group.
"Glad you guys showed up." He said, as the rest of them stood at attention. All Might was able to free himself from the grasp of the Nomu thanks to his students.
"Scum like you…" All Might began, rising to stand against the villains. "Could never kill the symbol of peace."
Kurogiri was still in commission as he freed the Nomu, only being able to do so before Bakugou blasted his body once more.
"If you do anything fishy, I'll blow you straight to kingdom come!" He threatened, crackling sparks with his free hand.
"That's not very hero like, dude.." Kirishima sighed at Bakugou's display of violence.
The hand-faced man scratched at his neck, anger taking over. "Not only have you beaten our level, but you're all here at full health! Today's kids are really something… Our league of villains should be ashamed!" He exclaimed, annoyance laced in his tone as he turned to the Nomu.
"Nomu. Take out that explosive brat. We need our escape route back." He commanded. Soon after the Nomu rose from the warp gate, and cracked the ice that Todoroki had made, completely severing it's right side. But in a grotesque manner it regrew all it's lost appendages and limbs.
"Get back everyone!" All Might commanded, "I thought it's quirk was shock absorption…"
"I don't remember saying that's all it could do." The hand-faced man stated, as the Nomu stood at attention once more. It launched itself straight for Bakugou, causing All Might to jump in its path and take the hit himself.
Without even noticing Bakugou had been pushed aside out of danger, and the boy was in awe at the sheer power All Might had.
"Kacchan!? Did you dodge that!?" Izuku questioned, as he too didn't even see what happened.
"I didn't. Shut up, Deku." Bakugou berated, though his tone was less aggressive as he was just shocked at how fast All Might really was.
Speaking of All Might, he was quite a ways away as that blow had blasted him back a few feet.
"This guy doesn't know how to hold back…" He mumbled, as his arm was completely bruised from that hit. Luckily the adrenaline was kicking in and he wasn't feeling much pain.
"It's just like earlier, when that plain one over there came at me. He used everything he had. But violence in the name of saving other's is admirable? Isn't it hero?" The villain antagonized. He then went on to rant about hero society, and how unjust it truly was.
"What a load of shit." All Might exclaimed, getting into a fighting stance once again. "Idealistic criminals have a different sort of fire in their eyes."
"It's three on five." Todoroki stated, readying himself for battle. Izuku and the other's joined him not long after.
"Yeah! They're tough, but with us supporting All Might we can win this!" Kirishima added on, hardening his body.
"We've got to help All Might win this." Izuku stated, putting his gloves back on.
"No, get out of here!" All Might rejected their want to join in the fight. However he couldn't risk the student's getting hurt. They would definitely get seriously injured or worse if they tried to take on these villains.
"Thing's wouldn't have gone well if it weren't for us All Might! P-Plus you're almost-" Izuku said, nearly revealing that All Might was out of time. However, All Might was quick to intervene.
"Right you are, Young Midoriya. Thank you all for your help." He said, before giving a thumbs up to the students. "But fear not! Sit back and watch as a pro gets serious!"
Steam began to emanate from the man's body as he was beginning to run out of time. Izuku knew this, but he had to keep it to himself and believe in All Might.
"Kurogiri, Nomu. Take care of All Might, while I handle the kids." Shigaraki instructed, as he rushed for the students. Izuku was quick to activate 3% OFA and get ready to defend himself.
All Might quickly rushed at the Nomu with a head on assault, causing a wind gust so strong that both Shigaraki and the students were blown back.
All Might was throwing all 100% of his power out there with each hit that he threw out at the Nomu.
The group surrounding them stood in awe at both the Nomu's and All Might's display of power as their fists moved at speeds they couldn't catch.
"Tell me, villain... " All Might started, as he began to gain the edge of the Nomu, pummeling it with all of his might. "Do you know the meaning of…"
"PLUS ULTRA!"
The Nomu was sent straight through the roof of the USJ with one final blow and sent into a nearby forest. The students stood in awe at his power, but Izuku stood frightened. All Might was at his limit after that and there were still two villains left to fight.
"Yeah, I'm really slowing down." All Might stated, as he stood tall against the villains, feigning toughness. "In my heyday, five of those punches would've been enough. But that was definitely over 300 hits just now."
"Well Villain?" All Might beckoned, "How about we hurry up and finish this?"
Shigaraki stood enraged, how could he do that!? This whole operation was perfectly calculated and this man completely shattered everything they had hoped for…
"You… You cheated..!" He exclaimed, enraged. "You've weakened!? That's bullshit! You… You cheated!"
Shigaraki rushed at All Might head on, reaching his hands out to decay the man, but before he could reach him Izuku shot forward. Faster than the others could notice and Punched Shigaraki down to the ground.
Kurogiri quickly went to swallow up the boy in his warp gate but he jumped away as bullets flew in their direction. The other pro heroes had arrived, and Snipe just gunned down Shigaraki.
Kurogiri quickly warped the two of them out of there as they had suffered a crushing loss. They needed to escape and they would find some other time for their plan.
'I-I did it..!' Izuku exclaimed. He had actually helped All Might! Unfortunately he had broken his arm in the process, but he was able to save All Might.
"You've saved me again… Young Midoriya." All Might stated, as the two of them shared a smile. Izuku cried tears of joy, just happy to know that All Might was alive and well.
"I-I'm j-just so glad y-you're okay..!" Izuku proclaimed, his sobs becoming more prominent.
"Midoriya! Are you okay!?" Kirishima questioned, running over to the boy before being walled off by Cementoss. He couldn't see All Might in this state right now.
"We need to make sure all you students are safe, so head over to the gate." He instructed, trying to cover for All Might. "I'll deal with the wounded."
Kirishima nodded and headed off. All Might thanked Cementoss as they waited for the commotion to die down so Izuku and All Might could be treated by Recovery Girl.
All in all everyone was able to make it out with little to no injuries aside from Aizawa, All Might, Izuku, and Thirteen. All the villains were apprehended, including the Nomu and the students were instructed to head back to class.
Kyouka had sat by herself on that bus ride. She had too much running through her mind especially after witnessing what Izuku did. Not only that but he had kissed her. He was her first kiss and that pretty much confirmed who he liked, but he was such an idiot..!
'You could've died Izu…' She thought as tears pooled in her eyes. 'You idiot…'
Izuku and All Might sat in Recovery Girl's office, they had surprisingly not been scolded for their actions after what had happened. Recovery Girl saw no reason to scold them for this, they did what was right.
"I think I've probably shortened my time limit again…" All Might stated, somberly. "I'll be lucky if I still get an hour a day."
Izuku glanced at his mentor, his eye's were sad as he knew soon he wouldn't have One For All for much longer.
"All Might…" Izuku said before being cut off by a detective walking in, with Kyouka in tow.
"Pardon us." He said politely, removing his hat as he entered. "Long time no see, All Might."
'Must be someone else who's in on the secret…' Izuku thought, as his eyes shifted to Kyouka. She stood shyly at the side of his bed.
As All Might and Tsukacuhi conversed, Izuku turned to Kyouka and smiled, a faint blush present on his face as he thought about the events before he rushed in to help All Might.
"I-I'm so glad you're okay, Kyouka… Y-You don't know how worried I was when we got split up." He admitted, removing the blanket on the hospital bed as he turned to face her.
"You were worried? You idiot..!" She said, tears beginning to build up in her eyes again. "Y-You could have been killed, Izu… I-I was so scared of losing you…"
Izuku looked down at the ground in guilt. He felt bad for worrying her but he had to do something or else All Might would've died back there. He couldn't apologize in a situation like this, but maybe he could make up for it in a different way.
He stood suddenly, making Kyouka flinch before she was enveloped in a hug from the boy. Her head rested in his chest, as he had his arms tightly wrapped around her, his chin resting on top of her head.
"You know I can't stop doing this." He started, making Kyouka glare up at the boy, "But, I promise that no matter what… I'll come back to you."
Kyouka wanted to believe the boy, but she couldn't… At least, not without some sort of persuasion. She soon released herself from the boy's grasp.
"I don't believe you." She said, stubbornly. She then blushed as she picked her next words carefully, "I won't unless you…" She trailed off.
Izuku stared at the girl's embarrassed state and gave a confused glance around the room hoping someone would explain. Unluckily for him all present adults seemed to have left the room without them noticing.
Even All Might had somehow found a way to leave even after being so heavily injured. Perhaps he went with the detective somewhere.
"U-Unless I what?" He questioned. He resigned to just ask her upfront, maybe he'd actually get her to repeat what she said.
Kyouka's blush deepened, but she wasn't going to let down. Even if her mind was screaming at her not to for even just the slight chance he'd refuse, she wanted to get another kiss.
She brought a finger up to her mouth and tapped her lips, indicating what she wanted, and Izuku quickly caught on to what she was saying. He blushed quite deeply and gulped.
"S-Seriously..?" He asked, completely distraught. He didn't think she actually liked that he kissed her, hell he expected her to be upset but here she was asking for another. What a world.
Izuku placed a bandaged hand to her cheek, and gulped once again. Was this really okay..? She had asked for it, but this was really embarrassing now that the boy wasn't facing near death.
The two closed their eyes and let the distance between them vanish, their lips met for the second time and that same spark from before filled the two of them.
Kyouka would be damned if this was going to be cut short, however, and wrapped her arms around the boy's neck. He was quite surprised, but quickly enveloped her in another embrace as their simple kiss was prolonged.
Unfortunately for the two of them, breathing was a thing and they needed air. Izuku was the first to pull away and the two teens were left panting, staring deeply into one another's eye's.
Suddenly the door to the room opened, and both teens went wide-eyed. Recovery Girl had returned, and when she glanced up at the two she saw them a few feet apart which was different than when she had left them.
"Midoriya, your mother came to come and get you. Go to the classroom and get your stuff so you can go." She informed, as she plopped back down onto her desk chair. Kyouka and Izuku glanced at each other, and quickly exited the nurse's office.
The two didn't utter a word to one another as they made their way to Inko. She found it odd that they weren't talking, but decided not to say anything about the situation because she felt it wasn't right to. Especially not after what they had gone through today.
Izuku still walked Kyouka home, with the addition of his mother being present. She even spoke to the Jirou's about what happened and the parent's decided to let their kids have the rest of the day to just settle down after today's events.
Izuku soon made his way home with his mother and quickly shut himself in his room and flopped down into his pillow. He screamed a mighty scream from the depths of his heart out of pure embarrassment at what happened in Recovery Girl's office.
Kyouka too flopped into her pillows as she got to her room, but instead of screaming she squealed. It was quite the girlish squeal and one filled with pure joy! She kissed him! She really did it!
And what a nice kiss it was, although Kyouka had no one to compare to, kissing Izuku was like heaven for her.
It was just a simple kiss, but the way he embraced her so lovingly left her with some thoughts of his embrace being not as wholesome.
She needed to tell someone, and luckily she had just the person to talk to about it. She whipped out her phone and opened up her messages.
Kyouka was lucky enough to have Momo's contact info and quickly sent her a text retelling the tale of her and Izuku's act of "Passion" in the nurse's office.
Back to Izuku he slumped on his bed and stared at the ceiling of his room. He thought back to the kiss and how she had looked when they separated from it. She looked so beautiful it just made Izuku blush harder.
'What do I even say to her now..?' He thought, as he whipped out his phone and stared at her contact info in his phone. He opened their text conversations and began to type something before deleting it. He couldn't think of anything to say.
Tomorrow would definitely be a strange day.
And that's chapter fourteen.
This is the longest chapter I have written and god damn did I really get absorbed in this. This is also the only chapter with a title that doesn't follow the song this story's inspired by.
We have motion in their romantic endeavors now as well! YAY!
Izuku will still "confess" at the sports festival as originally planned.
Izuku and Kyouka are going to be a bit awkward after everything (Mainly Izuku will) but we'll see how things develop.
I also have news about my One-shot, "Footsteps In The Dark"
I am going to make it a 2 or 3 part story.
