Chapter Fifteen: Love Turns Into Forever

The day after the USJ the class had been cancelled to give the student's time to recover after what had happened. Kyouka and Izuku hadn't even said a word to each other, albeit a bit unintentionally.

Izuku's mother had proclaimed her worry for her son and forced him to spend the entire day with her, as did Kyouka. Though they had wanted to talk about everything that had happened they just didn't have the time.

Surely tomorrow they had hoped! But as they met to walk to school both teens were too nervous to even bring up what had transpired two days ago.

Now here the two of them sat, waiting for their teacher to enter the classroom. Their friend's noticed that something was off, but only Momo knew the exact reason. She stared at Kyouka in worry, unfortunately she couldn't say anything to the girl as Aizawa had entered the classroom, bandaged like a mummy.

"Morning." He greeted, the class in shock that he could even walk right now. Their teacher really was such an undeniable pro.

"Glad to see you doing well, sensei!" Iida stated, as Aizawa stalked his way to the teacher's podium.

"My welfare isn't important." The man spoke, looking up so his eye could be seen through the bandages. "Because your fight is far from over."

The man's declaration surprised the class. Their fight? What fight was he even referring to? Was there going to be more villains to fight? Right after the USJ!?

"UA's Sports Festival is fast approaching!" The mummified teacher declared. The student's were quite confused, both at how ordinary this was, and how they would have the Sports Festival right after a villain attack. Wasn't that a bad idea?

"It's necessary to demonstrate that UA's crisis management protocols are sound. That's the thought process apparently." The man explained, sighing. He might not have liked the idea all too much himself, but it really was set in stone to show that UA isn't weak.

"Compared to past years there'll be five times the police presence. Anyhow our Sports Festival is the greatest opportunity you'll get. It's not an event that can be canceled over a few villains." Aizawa exclaimed, causing the students to begin to grow a bit concerned.

Mineta especially questioned the certainty of these ideals that UA was portraying. It was understandable that he was worried, they had just fought with real villains and LIVED.

"Our Sports Festival is one of Japan's biggest events! The Olympics were once the world's Sports Festival. The whole country would be whipped into a frenzy over them. But as you know that tradition has shrunk in scale to a shell of its former self. And as far as Japan is concerned, what's taken the place of the Olympics is the UA Sports Festival."

Aizawa's explanation of the Sports Festival had actually begun to rile the students up a bit. This was their chance to show off and actually get scouted as sidekicks for the future!

Izuku sat thinking on how he needed to improve to excel in the Sports Festival. It wasn't something he could fail at, and he quickly realized he needed to work at improving the control over his quirk and fast.

"H-Hey, Izuku?" He suddenly heard Kyouka's voice, and flinched. "C-Can we talk..? M-Maybe s-somewhere private?"

Izuku shakily turned to her, with a red face. He had completely forgotten that he needed to talk to the girl about the events that transpired before, but he was really nervous to say the least.

What would he say to her? Should he ask her out before the Sport's Festival? Wait! That's it!

"S-sure, yeah… L-Let's go to the roof." Izuku replied, standing and grabbing his things. It was now lunch so the two of them would have to get their lunch and head up to the roof.

It wasn't exactly a private spot as sometime's students would sit up there from time to time, but today it was particularly empty. The two of them sitting down on the roof, facing one another.

"S-So…" Izuku began, fidgeting with his hand's a bit, unsure of how to start this.

"So…" Kyouka added on. She too was nervous and wanted to confess how she had been feeling to the boy. She had spent time talking to Momo on how she should go about this only for them to settle on just telling him how she had felt.

"I-Izuku, I-I really like you… A-And I want to be with you." She confessed. Her face was red, and she couldn't look the boy in the eye's but she could tell that he too was completely embarrassed about this.

The two of them had never been in this kind of situation before and this was their first "crush". Izuku however was smiling like an idiot. He couldn't hide the fact that he was happy that she had liked him back, but they had something they needed to set straight first.

"Kyouka." Izuku called, grabbing the girl's attention and making her look up at him. "I like you too, but we need to focus on the Sport's festival."

Kyouka's heart shattered at hearing those words come out of the boy's mouth. The tears began to well up in her eye's which Izuku was quick to notice. The rejection hurt her more than she thought it would.

'So this is what heartbreak feels like..?' The girl wondered, nearly beginning to sob.

"A-Ah! W-Wait! Wait! I'm not done!" He exclaimed, quickly scooting over and wiping the tears from her eyes. "I-I'm not saying w-we can't be together."

The girl looked at him confused, but as his hands were already on her face he pulled her in for a kiss. This confused Kyouka more, but she couldn't help but kiss back, her tears streaming down her face.

Izuku pulled away and smiled at her, "I want to properly ask you out after the Sports Festival… So let's do our best, I want that to be a drive for us to kick ass at the festival."

Kyouka laughed at his use of profanity, she really had rubbed off on him a bit too much.

"D-Don't say that, you sound like me…" She said, holding a hand up to the boy's cheek. "B-But does that m-mean we can't act like a couple till then? Plus I want to keep training with you, Izu!"

Izuku paused to think about the girl's proposal. Perhaps he could allow a bit of affection, plus he couldn't deny the fact that Kyouka was a pretty good workout buddy.

"N-Nah, I don't think we could hold back after what happened. A-And I'd never deny you to train with me, that's the perfect way to spend time with each other while we prepare for the Sport's Festival." He explained, scooting back to his food so they could eat their lunch.

"Thank god…" She exhalled. "So.. You gonna try to get All Might to help out? You should be focusing on how much of your quirk you can use."

Izuku then began to explain the plan he had in mind for his training, he even had prepared something for her as well. His main focus for her was hand-to-hand combat seeing as they weren't allowed to use support items.

Speaking of All Might, he burst through the door to the roof, looking around before spotting Izuku and Kyouka sitting and having lunch together.

"Ah! There you are Young Midoriya!" He exclaimed, rushing to the two of the startled teens. He then reverted to his skinnier form and sat down with the two teens.

"Sorry to interrupt, but we have some stuff to talk about." He explained, toning down his extreme upbeat attitude. "I've learned that I only have an hour to stay in my muscle form."

The two teens looked at the man in shock. Just an hour? How was he going to maintain being the number one?

"Only an hour? It's really that bad..?" Kyouka questioned, worry present in her voice.

Despite All Might not being her favorite person, she still knew that the world needed a hero like him to take down evil. And not only that, he was a mentor to Izuku! He needed to be a hero for just a bit longer.

"It's fine. What I really need to talk to you two about is the Sports Festival. Mainly you, kid." All Might said, turning to look at Izuku. The two teens had a feeling they knew what this was going to be about, but maybe the man had a solution to Izuku's improvement.

"We're going to need to beef you up so you can withstand the blowback of One For All." He explained, turning back into his muscle form to give an example. Both Kyouka and Izuku paled at the thought of him being that massive.

"A-All Might, don't get me wrong but I d-don't think I could be like you in that regard…" Izuku stated, the mental image of him being like that haunting him. It was even worse for Kyouka as she couldn't see herself being with him if he was going to look like a damn bear.

"No, no! I don't expect you to match up to that! We just need to get you used to higher percentages of your quirk. Make it feel like you could stay in that fully cowled state as if it were you on a normal day." All Might explained. Honestly if they were to achieve that perhaps progress could be made a lot faster for him and he could take over the mantle of "Symbol of Piece" much quicker.

"Ah, y'know that makes sense!" Kyouka exclaimed. "If you do that then you could get more used to your quirk! Maybe try sitting with it on for a long amount of time and do your daily tasks!"

"Precisely!" All Might exclaimed. "I need you, the next All Might- No, the next Symbol of Peace, to tell the world 'I AM HERE'!"

Izuku gave an intense look to All Might and nodded. He would make sure to let the world know that he was there to be the next number one. He would declare that he was there.

Although, Izuku had hoped that the two of them didn't mean that he'd be having One For All on all throughout school. Training or not that would be exhausting. They couldn't possibly expect him to do that right?

Right..?

Izuku nearly released his hold on his quirk as his body felt the strain of having it on for so long. He sighed as the final bell rang, at least the day of school was over.

"It hurts to move..!" He exclaimed, as he stood from his desk and gathered his things. Uraraka laughed as he had begun to limp as he walked.

"You're walking funny, Deku-kun! Why are you even so tired?" She questioned as the group of friends, along with the rest of 1-A headed to exit the classroom.

Unfortunately before Izuku could give an excuse the door to the classroom was opened and there was a horde of students sitting right outside, chattering amongst themselves.

"No way! What are all these students doing here?" Mineta piped up as Bakugou walked casually right past him.

"Scoping out the competition, duh. Move it, small fry." Bakugou shoved the small purple haired boy aside, and walked straight in front of the crowd. He seemingly did not care about their presence.

"There's no point for them to be here, though. Now move aside, cannon fodder." He threatened, glaring at all the students. A tall lavender haired boy stepped out to the front of the crowd, staring down at the ash-blonde before him.

"It's true we came to get a good look, but you sure are modest. Are all of the 1-A students like this?" He aimlessly questioned, rubbing the back of his neck. Izuku mentally denied any sort of connection to the ash blonde boy as he knew he was just a cocky prick.

"Gotta say I'm a little disillusioned if this is what you're offering." He declared, glaring his tired eyes upon the entirety of 1-A.

He then began to explain how there are students who couldn't make it to the hero course, and how the results of the sports festival could make them consider a transfer.

"For a general studies kid like me, this'll be the perfect chance to knock you off your pedestals. Consider this a declaration of war." He proclaimed, glaring harder at the class before him. Because of Bakugou the entirety of the school had it out for them!

Bakugou simply shoved his way through the crowd, "I don't give a shit. I'm heading for the top. Why should I care about your stupid declarations of war?" He stated, making his way through the crowd of many students.

Unfortunately for them, this not only sparked something in the students against 1-A, but also the students in the hero course. They would begin to realize that they too should be reaching for the top, just like Bakugou.

They had nothing left to do other than train their asses off and prepare so that they had a chance to be the number one. They needed to do the same thing as Izuku and declare that they were here.

And this was their only chance.

"Man, Bakugou really just started a whole war! We're gonna have our work cut out for us." Kyouka stated. Her and Izuku had split apart their friend group and were waiting for their train at the station.

"Yeah, but he wasn't wrong. We all should be heading for the top. We shouldn't care about a declaration of war, all we should care about is doing our best and winning." He stated, defending the explosive boy. This really shocked Kyouka, normally he'd be hating what the boy did, but she guessed that he realized the point that Bakugou was trying to make.

"Yeah… I guess you're right." She mumbled, glancing at the boy. Soon the evening train came and the two of them boarded, finding a place to seat themselves.

Kyouka rested her head on the boy's shoulder as they sat on the train together, surprised to find that Izuku was more relaxed about it. He offered an earbud to the girl, and per their usual routine the two of them listened to music together.

Izuku rested his head atop Kyouka's and started mumbling plans to start training for the next day without realizing. Kyouka stared at him with a smile, she could wait for the real relationship. For now she'd enjoy what they had.

"Izu, you're mumbling again."

"Ugh…" Izuku groaned, shutting off his alarm. He shot himself out of bed, and activated One For All within his body.

'Right when I wake up. Just like All Might said.' The boy recounted as he stretched and walked to his bathroom to get ready for today. This was going to be a hardcore training day for Izuku and he had agreed to meet up with Kyouka and All Might at municipal beach bright and early.

Izuku blushed when thinking of the purplette as he remembered what had happened when the two of them parted for the night. He had been quite awkward when saying his goodbyes until her mother piped up out of nowhere to tell them to just kiss already.

Needless to say after that he was afraid to be around the girl's mother for a while as he had submitted to the pressure and kissed the girl. Right in front of her mom.

As the boy brushed his teeth his phone lit up with a notification. He had received a text from Kyouka, making him surprised she was actually awake at this time. She usually met up with him and All Might later in the morning.

"Hey, are you gonna be heading out soon?" The text read. He quickly sent back a response and went back to brushing his teeth. As he finished he had received another text from the girl.

"Cool. Do you wanna meet up and walk there together?" It read. Izuku smiled and sent a response to her question, agreeing to meetup. It would be nice to actually see her, especially after she screamed at him because of her mother's constant teasing after the kiss.

The boy after getting dressed went into the kitchen to get a protein shake, and a granola bar. His phone vibrated in his pocket once again reading, "Great! I'll be at your place in a few since you live closeby."

'Huh… Guess I'll wait here for her then.' He resigned, plopping himself down on the couch to enjoy his small breakfast. It wouldn't take long for her to arrive anyways, the two of them lived only 15 minutes away on foot.

There was soon a knock at the front door of his home. Right on time. Izuku had just finished his breakfast and headed over to let Kyouka in. She was adorned in yellow short shorts accompanied with black leggings and a black tank top.

"Yo." The girl greeted, walking right past the boy as he opened the door, letting herself in. "We've got some time before All Might arrives so I thought we could waste time together."

Izuku sighed at the girl who just barged into his home, "I mean that's fine. Let's just not make too much noise, okay? My mom's still asleep." He stated, whispering to accentuate the importance of this.

His mother worked hard and only on weekends like these could she actually get a nice amount of sleep. Kyouka nodded and pointed to his room, indicating that they should just go there so there was a less likely chance she'd hear them.

The two entered the boy's room, and it seemed way different now than she remembered it being a few months ago. Izuku had changed up his room dramatically, finally opting to keep his All Might figures and posters, but getting rid of his themed bedspread and carpet. It was now a pleasant forest green.

"You changed your room." She noted out loud, causing a small chuckle from Izuku. It was true, he decided that he needed to just get over his obsession and learn to treat it more as respect to his mentor.

"Yeah, guess I kinda grew out of it?" He stated, knowing fully well he still has all of his All Might stuff in his closet. There was no way in hell he was gonna get rid of it. "I'm surprised though. I thought you'd come in here and attack me because of yesterday…"

Kyouka blushed and glared at the boy, "Don't remind me… In fact I should give you some kind of harsh punishment as revenge for that stunt you pulled."

Izuku gulped, "W-Well, th-that's fair… J-Just please don't hurt me, we have training to do."

Kyouka smirked at the boy's unknown agreement to let her get away with anything she wanted. She pushed the boy down onto his bed, and flopped right onto his chest.

"I'm gonna abuse that offer. Now hold me like you did during that little 'sleepover'." She commanded, getting herself comfortably into the boy's chest. It was gonna be an hour until All Might got to the beach seeing as he was staying somewhere far from them.

Izuku sighed, the least he could do was let her have this, even though he would enjoy this just as much. He wrapped the girl in his arms and the two of them laid together, not saying much to one another. They just enjoyed each other's presence.

Kyouka felt the boy's hand rub down her back and jolted, snapping her head up to the boy. He stared back, confused at her sudden motion as if he was unknowing that he did anything wrong.

This boy really was too dense, in his mind all he did was rub her back in order to comfort her. Little did he know he nearly reached a bit too low.

Although Kyouka couldn't lie and say she didn't find that cute, that little unknowing look he had on his face was really adorable. Though that just made it harder for her to hold back.

"Damnit Izu." The girl said, swiftly bringing the boy in for a kiss. Izuku was quite shocked to say the least, but quickly reciprocated the kiss, placing his hands on her hips.

Kyouka felt a warm tingling sensation from the boy's hold on her hips. She began to squirm slightly as she gripped onto the boy's curly mess of hair, running her fingers through the soft forest known as the boy's curly top. Seemed her hips elicited a certain "reaction" when gripped like that.

Izuku heard a small moan from the girl, which urged him to do more, but he stopped himself. They had places to be, and while this was definitely an experience they couldn't make an excuse for running late, so they needed to go now.

He pulled away from the kiss, and took a deep breath for air. Kyouka too had needed to breathe and lifted herself up, she sat as if she was straddling the boy.

"Y-Your quirk being active during that i-is way too good." The girl admitted through shaky breaths. She soon rolled herself off of the boy and his bed, standing up.

Izuku stood right after her, and wrapped his arms around the girl's waist, placing a soft kiss on her cheek. "W-We've gotta go… B-But maybe w-we should hold back o-on this stuff, next time."

Kyouka blushed and apologized. The two of them had grabbed a few water bottles and left, doing a light jog all the way to Municipal beach, all the while Kyouka had only one thing on her mind.

'I don't think I can wait until after the Sports Festival.'

And that's chapter 16 you guys!
I hope you guy's enjoy this as I had actually experienced a bit of a block halfway through.
They have confessed to one another, however they aren't exactly official. I'm doing this for a specific purpose later on.

Now you may be questioning why I have Izuku using full cowling for a whole 24 hours, I felt like that would be an optimal way for him to increase the percentages that he could use. Plus it's like the same concept of Super Saiyan in the cell saga of dragon ball. Let your body accumulate the power so that it's like standing in your base state.

Finally Hitoshi Shinsou has been introduced! There will be a bit of an altercation between him and Izuku in a different way than the manga.

I hope to see you all in the next one!
