Hello, I'm back, but I'm a little late.

Toph: Yeah you said you were gonna post on saturday. It's Wednesday.

Me: That's because I was busy

Katara: Busy doing what? Creating a ALTA one shot instead?

Me: Oh yeah, I made a ALTA one-shot called Destiny Rolls which takes place before this story. If you want to read it you can find in on my profile.

Sokka: Great there he goes promoting himself again.

Me: ...

Me: Please comment and tell me what you think about my story. Comments really encourage me and help me make improvements. Speaking of comments, heres a comment from a guest.

nice idea but I have to agree that Aang and Katara calling each other "sweetie" is kinda annoying plus i can't really imagine them saying that except if they were in a cheesy romance fic.

Me: I had them say that because I thought it was funny when they annoyed people that way. In the ALTA comics that take place after Book 3 and Aang and Katara start dating and call each other "sweetie". I will stop having them say that because it's getting weird. They will continue to call each other that in this chapter tho. I will stop don't worry.

Toph: Yeah your sense of humor is very weird.

Me: At least I can see

Toph: ...

Sokka: ...

Katara: ...

Aang: ...

Toph: Well what you can't see is how your copying an ALTA comicbook. I don't have to be blind to see that.

Me: ...

Me: And I've been spelling Kyoshi wrong. I was spelling it as "Kiyoshi". Woops.

Chapter Two: Jingyi

"So this is the Kiyoshi Shrine?" Toph questioned as she and Sokka entered the building.

"This is where all of Avatar Kiyoshi's stuff are-woah." Sokka gasped. The place had been rummaged through. Numerous items were missing.

"What's wrong, Sokka?" Toph asked as she dug a finger in her ear.

"A lot of Kiyoshi's stuff is missing." Sokka exclaimed.

"So the thief already came to the shrine?" Suki asked as she entered with her warrior clothes on and makeup.

"When was the last time we saw Suki with makeup, Toph?" Sokka asked.

"I don't know. I can't see." Toph retorted.

"Sorry." Sokka apologized. "So the thief already came to the shrine?"

"Yes, Sokka, I just asked." Suki responded. "The thief stole Kiyoshi's boots."

"Boots? What's so special about her boots?" Toph asked.

"Not only was Kiyoshi seven feet tall, she also had large feet also. After she died at age 230, her belongings were kept in this shrine. They're very sacred." Suki explained.

"Huh." Toph answered. "I wonder what the others are doing right now."

Katara bent water from a barrel and created a water slide to boost herself as she and Aang chased the boy. Aang grabbed his glider and flew after the mysterious boy.

Suddenly Ty Lee lept from the corner of a building and chi-blocked the boy and he fell to the ground. Chyou and Ikki appeared a few moments after. Chyou grabbed the boy by the shirt.

"Who are you?" She demanded. "Don't you know what you did was horrible? You'll be punished for this!" She yanked off his cloak.

"Not only did you disrespect all the villagers from Kiyoshi Island, you also disrespected Avatar Kiyoshi, all the Avatars!"

Aang looked at the kid's face. The boy's face was pinched with fear and looked like he was going to cry. The kid looked like he was 7 or 8 years old.

"Don't you guys think you're being too rough?" Aang pointed out. "He's just a kid, younger than all of us."

"Are you defending him, Avatar?" Ikki demanded, glaring at him.

"No I'm not. But I think you're disrespecting him." Aang answered. Chyou stared at Aang for a few seconds before letting the boy go.

"Well, what do you have to say for yourself?" Chyou demanded.

"I- I-" the boy stuttered.

"It's not him." Ty Lee said. "I fought the thief myself. This boy is too little."

"He couldn't have gotten the boots himself, could he?" Katara wondered.

"I didn't steal them." The boy protested.

"What's your name?" Aang asked softly.

"Jingyi."

"Jingyi, can you tell us who gave you the boots?" Aang asked.

"I can't tell you. I'm not- not supposed to tell." Jingyi said.

"You will tell him now." Chyou demanded.

"I can't! He'll be mad." Jingyi said. Chyou grunted at the boy.

"Why did the person give you the boots?" Katara asked.

"He told me to sell them for food. I'm part of his group." The boy covered his mouth in shock. "Don't tell him I said that! He'll kick me from the group!"

"What group?" Aang asked.

Jingyi looked at Chyou and Ikki and then back at Aang. Jingyi was now able to move after Ty Lee chi-blocked him.

"I have his name here." Jingyi said, reaching into his pocket. Suddenly the boy threw a smoke bomb on the ground and disappeared.

"No!" Aang shouted, coughing. He airbended the smoke away until he could see again.

"Katara, are you ok?" Aang asked.

Katara coughed. "I'm ok, get Jingyi before it's too late!"

Aang created an airscooter and zoomed through the smoke into the forest where Jingyi ran into. The boy ran quickly through the trees, zig zagging around bushes, making it hard for Aang to see him. Suddenly a boulder catapulted through the air straight at Aang. Aang leapt up dodging it, another one appeared right after the first boulder and hit Aang in the side. Aang fell to the ground and clutched the side of his stomach. He kicked a blast of air with his feet in the direction where the boulder came from. A dark figure dodged it and catapulted another rock at Aang, who dodged it. The young avatar looked closely at the rock headed at him. It looked like the shape of a closed fist. It reminded him of a certain fighting style- Aang had no time to think back in time and bent a rock at the figure, but the figure smashed the rock into pieces. Aang heard a grunt and saw that some of the debris injured his target. Aang sped towards the figure and tackled him to the ground. The figure was half a head taller than him who launched Aang into the air with earthbending. Aang landed on his feet and saw the figure was a tall boy in a dark cloak. The cloak material matched the cloth Ikki showed him. Aang noticed that his opponent's hand had a nasty scratch from rock debris that was starting to bruise. The cloaked boy launched himself backwards and disappeared before Aang could see his face. The airbender didn't try to follow him because he was already in pain from the boulder that hit him in the side. Jingyi had disappeared also. Aang held his side as he limped back to the market. Katara, Ikki, Chyou, and Ty Lee were recovering from the smoke. Katara ran to him seeing he was hurt.

"Sweetie, are you ok?" Katara asked, letting him support himself on her shoulder.

"He got away." Aang grunted. "Both of them."

"Aangie's back!" The little girls shouted. Appa landed on the ground piloted by Katara and the girls tried to climb onto the sky bison.

"Back off," Ikki said. "The Avatar is injured."

"Aang's injured? What happened?" Sokka asked as he came running with Toph and Suki.

"We'll explain later. I have to heal Aang." Katara said. Two Kiyoshi warriors lead her to a room where Katara could heal Aang. Aang laid on a bed as Katara lifted his shirt to see a purple bruise on his ribcage. Katara waterbended a glowing orb of water onto the bruise.

"How'd Jingyi hurt you?" Katara asked. "Is he even a bender?"

Aang blushed. He didn't want Katara to think that a 7 year old was able to hurt him and get away.

"No, someone else ambushed me and both got away. I underestimated the guy and he surprised me with a boulder at my chest." Aang sat up after Katara was done. "The guy's fighting style was like the Dah Li."

"The Dah Li? I forgot about them." Katara answered.

"Yeah, one of the rocks was shaped like a fist, like the Dah Li do when they're earth bending." Aang explained. "But all the Dah Li are adults. This guy was a kid like me, like Sokka's or Zuko's height. I think he was the guy Jingyi was talking about."

Aang put his shirt back on and followed Katara out of the room to where Sokka and Toph were.

"Aang you have fangirls outside." Toph immediately said. Aang tore to the window to see a crowd of little girls at the door. Some of them spotted him and shouted.

"I can't go out there!" Aang pleaded. "I promised I'd visit them again, but not right now. I have things to do." Aang grabbed Sokka's shoulders and shook him. "You have to distract them any way you can."

"Sounds like Twinkle Toes is scared." Toph chuckled.

Aang turned to her with his face red. "Hey-"

"I'm kidding, Aang. Well maybe. There's a way out back you can take to escape." Toph said.

"I'll go with you sweetie." Katara said.

"Ok, sweetie." Aang answered.

"Can you guys stop it with the 'sweetie stuff'?" Sokka cringed. "It's giving me the oogies."

"Aaargh, Sokka, can you stop it with your oogies!" Katara hissed. "I don't even know what that means!"

"I'll tell you." Toph said. "Katara, give me your hand."

"Uh...ok." Katara said. Toph turned Katara's hand with her palm facing up. Then she spat right into Katara's hand.

"OOGIE!"

Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph entered the Kiyoshi warriors' meeting room. Suki, Ikki, and Chyou were already seated and there were only three seats left.

"Hope we're not interrupting." Aang said.

"No you're not, please sit down Avatar." Chyou said. Aang sat down and Katara and Toph sat in the remaining seats.

"Hey where do I sit?" Sokka asked. Toph pointed to the door. A few seconds later the voices of little girls were heard outside. Aang gasped and turned to Sokka.

"Sokka…"

"Fine." Sokka groaned as he went to the door. "I don't know why everyone else gets to go to the meeting and I have to babysit."

"Thanks, Sokka." Aang responded cheerfully.

"Kiyoshi's boots have been restored back at the Kiyoshi Shrine," Suki said. "Aang, who attacked you?"

"After Jingyi escaped, another boy attacked me. He launched rocks at me. When I got closer to him, he earthbended a fist at me. His fighting style was very similar to the Dah Li." Aang explained.

"The Dah Li? In the Southern Earth Kingdom?" Ikki questioned. "Aren't the Dah Li guards for the Earth King?"

"They were," Katara explained, "Until we found out that they were working for Long Feng and doing a lot of bad things in Ba Sing Se."

"But the person was a teenager. All the Dah Li are adults." Aang said.

"Maybe he was a trainee." Suki said.

"So why was a Dah Li trainee protecting this kid who stole Kiyoshi's boots?" Toph asked.

"Jingyi didn't steal the boots. The person he was working for stole them. I think the Dah Li trainee stole them." Chyou guessed.

"What would the Dah Li want with the Kiyoshi Shrine?" Toph asked.

"I don't know." Suki said. "The Dah Li were founded by Avatar Kiyoshi and so were the Kiyoshi warriors."

"So do they think that Kiyoshi's Shrine belongs to them instead?" Katara wondered.

"This is where my plane comes next." Suki said. "We're going to capture the thief."

"Go on." Toph said.

"Ok, we believe that the thief will come back to the island tonight. We will need people to guard the temple. We also need scouts at the shores of the Island." Suki said.

"Actually, I have a better idea." Katara said.

"Oh this should be interesting." Toph snorted.

Katara took a deep breath before starting to explain.
