Chapter 2
The next day Barbara is getting ready for school for the first time in years parents teacher her when she wasn't in Gotham for the 5 years. Bruce and Rachel knows that Barbara is smart just like her parents. Barbara has to wear a grey skirt, a white shirt with a black jacket and a red tie which she was not happy to wear the uniform of her school but she knows that she has to wear it. She dictated to put her hair up so she couldn't have her hair in the way when she doing writing.
"Barbara, are you ready for your first of school?" Rachel ask her daughter.
"I am ready mum just on my way to the kitchen," Barbara answered her mum when she was on the way out of her room.
When Barbara got to the kitchen she saw her dad sitting at the kitchen table reading the newspaper about Gotham. Seeing her dad doing reading she decided to do the same about the school before she starts it today. Bruce saw his daughter reading information about to and is happy to see that side of his daughter and he is thinking about what his parents would think about Barbara? He also knew the answer and that they would love his daughter on matter what.
"Are you looking forward to your first day at school?" Bruce ask his daughter.
"I am dad but a bit nervous as well," Barbara said to her dad.
"Morning miss Barbara what would you like for breakfast?" Alfred ask her as he walks into the room.
"I would like some toast if that is all," she replied to the butler with a smile on her face.
"Of course and master Bruce the same for you as your daughter? Alfred ask Bruce.
"Yes Alfred I would like the same please," Bruce answered.
After breakfast Alfred drive the Wayne family to the school to that Barbara is going to have a normal childhood. When the 4 got to the school and they look at it was a big school for the kids. The Wayne family slowly walked to the reception of the school before Barbara started the school. As they were waiting for the Principal of the school they looked at old pictures of old students of the school.
"Hey dad is that you?" Barbara points to a picture of a young boy and Bruce was shocked to see that picture of himself.
"Yes that is my sweetheart," Bruce answered his daughter.
Then a woman came to meet the family and Bruce know who she is this means Barbara has to be good. The Principal took Barbara and her partners to the office of the Principal take about what Barbara will be up to at school.
"My name is Mrs Anderson and I believe that you are Barbara Wayne?" the woman ask Barbara.
"That is correct," Barbara replied to the Principal.
"I want you to feel welcome in this place," Mrs Anderson said to the nervous girl.
"Hey you will be fine," Rachel trying to make her daughter feel happy.
After the meeting Barbara goes to her first class of the day and sat next to a boy and a girl. Both of look at Barbara and happy for her to sit next to them. The boy had black hair and green eyes and the girl had dark skin with black hair and black hair.
"Hi my name is Dick Grayson," the boy interested himself to Barbara.
"Hi my name is Cat Fox," the girl said to her.
"Hi my name is Barbara Wayne," Barbara said to them and she is above Cat's last name, "are you relate to Lucius Fox by any chance?"
"Yes that is my Granddad, " Cat Replied to her new friend.
Then 10 minutes later the teacher walks into the class to his students and he is a kind teacher to his students. His name Mr Adams and he was wearing a black suit and trousers and a blue tie.
"Morning class," Mr Adams said to his students.
"Good Morning Mr Adams," Everyone in the class but Barbara.
"Before we start today we have a new student today," he purse and looks at the realist, "her name is Barbara Wayne and would she like to come in front of the class."
Barbara got out of her seat and slowly walks to the front of the class room, "hi everyone my name is Barbara Wayne and you may know my dad and if you are wounding who it is then it is Bruce Wayne," she said to the class mates and she was happy to get it over with.
"thank you Barbara and Dick and Cat look after her today," the teacher explains.
Barbara is happy that she made two new friends in her first lesson at the school and that is what she wanted in the first place. Her new wants to get to know more about her and her partners. Both Dick and Cat is happy to tell Barbara about themselves.
When lunchtime came to the school Barbara and her friends were sitting and eating their lunch saw they saw someone coming towards them. The girl that is coming to Barbara because she is jealous of the new girl. The girl has long blonde hair with blue eyes looking at Barbara and she wants to pick fun of Barbara and her new friends.
"Look what we have here a girl that thinks she better than me," the girl said trying to angry Barbara.
"Just leave her Amy," Cat replied to the bad girl.
"I not talking to you Fox I am talking to Wayne," Amy Snaps at Cat which makes her cry, "cry baby."
"I you leave her alone," Barbara said to Amy.
"So we have a hero then," Amy points at Barbara.
"Look I don't want any trouble with you," Barbara explains to the bully.
"You asked for this then," Amy replied and she is going for a punch at Barbara but she didn't bloke it.
Barbara scream in pain from the punch from the bully but her mum and dad is not going to be happy with her. She knows how to fight but she didn't want to waste that skill on a bully. Dick and Cat goes to her to help her but Amy manage to break Barbara's arm.
"Hey Cat get the Principal Anderson and I will stay here to help Barbara up," Dick explains his idea to Cat.
"Okay then," Cat replied and she went off to get Mrs Anderson.
Dick quickly got to Barbara and took a bunch in his face and he helps up Barbara. He manage to get Barbara's tie off her and makes a sling out of it to support Barbara's arm. She is impress with Dick with his reaction to her arm and she wants him to know that he is a friend to her.
"Thanks for helping me," Barbara said to Dick and putting a smile on his face.
"Your welcome and that what friends are for," he explained to her.
10 minutes later Cat and Mrs Anderson came to the playground to sort out the mess of Amy and what she did to Barbara. Mrs Anderson is not happy to a student in pain and she goes to Dick who explains everything and what he had to do on Barbara's tie.
"Well done Mr Grayson and as for Amy I have chose to kick you out of this school and I will ring your parents to pick you up," Mrs Anderson said to other kids in the playground and she turns her head to Barbara, "are you ok and you need to go hospital and I need to tell your parents and both of your friends will come with you."
When Barbara got to the hospital both her parents weren't happy at the bully but Dick and Cat explains what happened in the playground. Bruce shakes both of Barbara's friends.
"Thanks you," Bruce said to the children.
"Your well sir," Cat replied to Bruce but he is not happy that he was called sir.
"Just call me Bruce and I know that your granddad Cat," Bruce said to Cat.
"Good thinking on using My daughter's tie as a sling and a treat for you 2 is to come round to Wayne Manor," Rachel said to Cat and Dick which they were happy to do so to know Barbara more.
"I my granddad needs to know about it," Cat replied to Rachel.
"Don't worry about it and I have asked your granddad and he is fine with it and you Dick I did the same to your parents," Bruce explains to Barbara's friends, "they said yes and they are good friends of our."
When the Wayne family got back home from the hospital with Barbara's friends to have dinner with them. Dick and Cat is happy that Barbara is okay and wants to know the family as well. As the 5 sat at the table before dinner was ready and Barbara is in a lot of pain with her arm.
"Take it slow Barbara," Bruce told his daughter.
"I am dad but it is not my fault," Barbara looks at her dad as she was going to die in front of him.
"We know and you did the right," Rachel said her daughter making her feel better, "I am proud of making and staying up for them as well."
"I would have done the same thing as you," Dick said and his face went bright red.
"Same here," Cat agree with Dick about what happened in the day with that girl at school. All she knows that her friends will need her help in the future.
After dinner Barbara's back to their homes and Bruce gives his daughter a look that she knows well.
"Barbara, you know how to defend yourself," Bruce hug his daughter, "why didn't."
"I didn't want to use it because I want to become a hero that Gotham need and didn't want give that can fight," she explained to her dad.
"I see," he agree to his daughter and the people at school will compare her fighting style. He kiss his daughter on the forehead to say good night to her.
