"You must be very desperate if you were willing to turn to me for advice." Izzy sat across from Sora.
"No one else is available right now. Plus, you're Tai's best friend." Sora fidgeted with her hands.
"No, Tai is my best friend. I'm sure he would say that you are his." Izzy typed on his computer without looking at Sora's souring expression.
"Was his best friend…" Izzy stopped and looked at Sora.
"You must have messed up really, and I mean REALLY, bad if Tai is angry with you." Izzy went back to his computer.
"I didn't do anything!" Sora threw her hands angrily.
"Really? Tai can get grouchy, but he wouldn't ever get mad for no reason."
"Well, there is a reason, and a silly one at that…" Sora contemplated whether or not she should tell Izzy.
"Leave it to Tai to get angry over something small. What happened?" Izzy finally focused his attention on Sora.
"I...I gave him...I gave him a hat." Sora covered her face.
"I see...And? What did you do afterwards?" Izzy looked confused.
"That was it." Sora sounded regretful.
"Okay...I assume that you aren't telling me the truth." Izzy lowered his computer lid.
Sora took her hat off to reveal a hair clip. "He gave me this on my birthday and I was so happy that I wanted to return the favor." Sora put her hat to the side.
"So, you gave him a present despite the fact that he didn't actually want or deserve anything." Izzy shrugged. Tai sounded pretty unreasonable at this point.
"Well...There's more. He asked me, 'Why a hat?' and I told him." Sora let out a heavy sigh, "I told him that he could cover up his messy hair with it." Sora dropped her head into her hands again.
Izzy's eyes grew wide as he finally understood the issue. "You didn't. You've known him longer than anyone else and you still insulted his hair?"
"I know! I know. It was silly. Now he doesn't want to talk to me. What do I do?!" Sora gave Izzy a desperate stare as she waited for an answer.
"Have you tried apologizing?" Izzy now realized that both sides were insane.
"Maybe…"
"She better have written me at the very least!" Tai stormed over to his dad's computer.
He scrolled through the mail and found nothing.
"Dangit Sora! Not like I care anyways…" Tai had the hat in his hand.
"What do you mean 'maybe'?" Izzy continued to be confused.
"I sent the email, but something was off with it. I'm really not sure if it got to him, and I was too afraid to write another one. If he got the first one, then a second one so soon would be creepy." Sora dropped her head onto the table.
"Something was off with it?" Izzy raised one of his eyebrows.
"Yeah. I swear that I saw a little purple creature for a second. I think I also saw a name flash onto the screen. 'Kuramon' or something." Sora started to think more about the email.
"I'm sorry Tai. I really am! I didn't mean to insult your hair! It looks great! I just wanted to give you something because the hair clip you gave me was so nice. I thought it would be funny if you got me a hair clip even though I always wear a hat and if I got you a hat even though your hair is your pride and joy.
Clever right? Alright, anyways. I'm gonna need you to be patient with me.
We're both soccer players, right? Well, I missed the goal. I missed it badly. I hit a pole and the ball bounced straight into your face. And I'm sorry for that.
But the game isn't over yet.
Don't you want to keep playing? I know I do.

"I shouldn't have ended it with 'love'. He probably thinks I'm a creep." Sora banged her head against the table lightly.
"Sounds pretty creepy. Especially when you two are in a platonic relationship." Izzy put his hands up in surrender as Sora shot him a death glare.
"What do I do?" Sora asked, defeated.
"Go to his house. Go straight up to him. And say, 'I'm sorry.' If it doesn't work, then go to Matt or Kari for advice. Assuming he is allowing you to talk to Kari." Izzy opened his computer again.
"Alright." Sora stood up. "You gonna stay here?" Izzy didn't look at her. His face was focused on an email.
"I'm coming with you. Something has come up. Something big!" Izzy dashed through the door.
"Hold up Izzy! I'm coming too!" Sora ran after him.
*Knock Knock*
"Can you get the door, Tai? And no sass!" Ms. Kamiya called out to her son. He crawled his way over to the door and opened it slowly.
"Tai! Something has come up! No time to waste!" Tai's eyes grew wide at Izzy's comment.
"Come in right away pal." Tai threw the door open and finally saw the person who followed Izzy.
"H-Hi, Tai…" Sora waved shyly.
"Come in Izzy." Tai pulled Izzy in forcefully.
"Tai, can we talk-" The door shut in front of Sora.
"Gennai, is that you?" Tai and Izzy were looking at the laptop screen.
"Yes, it is me. I also brought your Digimon. We need the Digidestined again!" A dinosaur, a ladybug, and a pink bird appeared next to Gennai.
"Biyomon…" Tai looked away from the screen.
"I can sense that the Crest of Love is nearby. Get her in the room. She also needs to know what is going on." The Digimon slowly walked around the tv screen while Gennai stood in the middle.
"Alright. Give me a second." Izzy stood up and ran for the front door.
"Hey, wait! Izzy!" Tai wanted to give chase, but Agumon called out to him. The two talked while Izzy went to the front door.
"Come in, Sora." Izzy directed Sora to enter.
"I...Should I?" Sora hesitantly moved forwards.
"Tai will have to put his anger to the side. Something big is happening, and the Digimon are involved." Izzy looked dead serious. Sora gasped before running in.
"I'm afraid that he will only become more powerful if we don't stop him now." Gennai was talking to Tai when the two kids walked into the room.
"What's up, Tai? What do we need to do?" Izzy sat down next to him. Sora silently made her way to the corner of the room.
"We're gonna send our Digimon to the space that an evil Digimon lives in. Then we take him down! Let me call the others real quick." Tai stood up and saw Sora. He opened his mouth for a second before deciding to just walk away.
"Oh...He hates me." Sora sat down next to Izzy so she could be filled in on the situation.
Gennai told Sora and Izzy what he told Tai.
Sounds of Tai dialing and asking people questions silently rang through the other room. Lucky for Tai, his swift exit of the room gave him just enough time to call Matt and Tk before the phones died, so now they were joining in on the battle.
"He speaks so aggressively to them, but it's obvious that he cares about them." Sora and Izzy waited for Tai to enter.
"He cares about each of us, as much as he likes to mess around. It's clear that he even cares about you right now, but he won't admit it because he is too dang stubborn." Izzy knew Tai really well.
"I'm sure. I'd rather be stubborn than emotionally incompetent though." Sora laid down on the carpet.
"Alright Izzy, let's get moving. Gabumon and Patamon will rendezvous with us soon." Tai sat far away from Sora.
"Do you know what's going on between Sora and Tai?" Piyomon and Agumon flew down the data tunnel side by side.
"I don't know! Tai is really mad though." Agumon turned to Piyomon.
"And Sora's sad! I don't like it." Piyomon turned away from Agumon.
"It's probably Sora's fault." Agumon said accusingly.
"What?! It's definitely Tai's fault!" Piyomon squawked back.
"I overheard your conversation, and I think it was probably Tai's fault." Gabumon moved closer to Piyomon.
"I did too, and I think it's Sora's fault!" Patamon flew to Agumon's side.
"Shouldn't we be focused on the task at hand?" Tentomon flew in between the two groups.
Back in the human world, the Digidestined heard the argument between the Digimon and are now arguing themselves.
"What did you do Tai?" Matt yelled at the boy on his screen.
"What do you mean 'what did I do'? Is it so hard to believe that someone else is in the wrong?" Tai shouted back.
"Sora gave him a hat." Izzy responded impartially.
Both groups of humans started to argue fiercely about what Izzy said. Sora watched silently as Matt defended her.
"It's a freaking hat! You don't even need to wear it!" Matt was furious. The people in the barbershop were very confused.
"It's what that dang hat meant! She doesn't like my freaking hair! You know how angry I get when people insult my hair!" Tai pointed at Matt.
"You two need to stop arguing! It will mess with the Digimon's powers!" Izzy shouted at both of them.
"He started it." Tai turned away from the computer.
"Hmph." Matt crossed his arms and looked away.
"I don't get it." Tk scratched his head.
The Digimon finally arrived to fight Kuramon. They quickly became Champions. As the battle went on however, it became clear that Kuramon, who was now Infermon, was too durable for them to handle.
"Everybody go Ultimate! We're running out of time." Tai gave his order and everybody quickly responded.
"Megakabuterimon!" Izzy shouted out.
"Weregarurumon!" Matt yelled.
"Metalgreymon!" Tai said, energized. He didn't notice that Greymon failed to change.
"Garudamon." Sora said with little energy. She immediately realized that Birdramon didn't change one bit. "Umm, Birdramon?"
"Hurry up and evolve Birdramon!" Greymon floated over to Birdramon.
"Can you show me how to, champ?!" Birdramon poked Greymon with her talon.
The two bickered as the others tried to stop Infermon. They failed badly, and Infermon made sure to knock out Patamon and Tentomon. He tried to take out Gabumon, but he was too durable to defeat.
Infermon quickly left through a portal, leaving the reeling group of Digimon behind him.
"This was your fault Tai! Now what do we do?!" Matt was even angrier than before.
"That was not my fault! If Sora wasn't throwing off my 'mojo', Agumon could have become Metalgreymon!" Tai retaliated.
"Then I'm leaving!" Sora stood up and walked out, wiping off the tears in her eyes.
"Wait! Oh jeez...Figure something out Izzy!" Tai started to bounce his leg quickly.
"Right...Found him! And a couple thousand more of him. We need to move!" Izzy showed Tai the rapidly multiplying Diaboromon.
"Perfect! Send Agumon and Gabumon after him. I won't let Garudamon fight that many Megas." Tai didn't realize that Sora had come back into the room after her quick fit.
"What, you care about other people again?" Matt hadn't let go of his anger.
"Look, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have let the argument get in the way. It's not easy for me to say this, but I really do care for each of you, even if I haven't shown it recently." Tai closed his eyes.
"Oh...Jeez...I'm sorry for yelling at you then. Come on Tai! We can beat this creep if we work together!" Matt smiled.
"Right! Mega Digivolve!" Tai held his device up.
Wargreymon and MetalGarurumon appeared in the room with Diaboromon while Piyomon decided to retreat to Gennai's place.
"I guess Agumon really did care about me. I guess I might have been a little mean…" Piyomon and Sora talked on one computer while the others watched the fight going on in the other.
"Yeah, and I think Tai regrets how he was treating me. Even though it was my fault." Sora shook her head.
"What happened?" Piyomon asked the question on all the Digimon's minds.
"I...Gave him a hat." Sora was forced to explain the situation again.
"YOU WHAT? You've known him for how many years, and you thought he would wear a hat?" Piyomon flapped her wings.
"I know! It was so bad!" Sora sighed and looked over at the others. She did it just in time to see half of Tai through the computer.
"Tai! Where are you going?" Izzy had no clue of what Tai was doing.
Tai's body popped through the computer and into the Digital Space that housed his wounded friends.
Tk, Izzy, and Sora watched Tai and Matt fuse their Megas together to create one ultimate being.
The new creature, "Omnimon", absolutely tore through the thousands of Diaboromon, and he wiped all of them out. He finished the final one with a sword through the face.
Energy all over the city and world was restored within minutes. Everybody had different reactions to the nuke that landed outside in the water.
Izzy hurled, Tai flopped onto the floor, and Sora leaned her head on the computer tiredly.
*BING*
The computer lit up and said "New mail received."
"Whuh-Oh no!" Sora went to grab the mouse. But Tai already had it in his hands.
"Hey Tai, Sora, I'm going home. I need to relax." Izzy picked up his computer and dragged himself out of the Kamiya residence.
"Tai. Look. What you are about to read was just a little joke! Please don't take it seriously." Sora clasped her hands together and begged.
"Let's see here...From Sora Takenouchi." Tai silently read through the apology message. His eyes lit up when he finished.
"I'm sorry Tai. I'll leave…" Sora walked towards the door. Tai grabbed her shoulder and she swung around.
"The analogy was really silly and the fact that you ended it with 'love', I thought I wrote it for a second." Tai grinned. "I guess I might have been a little bit of a mop head with the way I reacted to the hat." Tai turned to the stunned Sora.
"You're not angry anymore?" Sora's eyes dilated.
"I'm not strong enough to stay angry at you. Thanks for the hat, Sora." Tai awkwardly tried to put on the hat, but his hair was too large for it to fit.
Sora giggled and got closer to Tai. "Here, let me help." They both grunted as hair was pulled and hats kept popping off.
"Hey, uh, Tai? The heck are you two doing?" Tai and Sora both turned to the computer to find Matt and Tk looking at them.
"Uuuuuuhhhhh." Tai and Sora exchanged glances.
Matt and Tk laughed as Tai and Sora scrambled for an answer.
There would always be conflict, but they were good friends.
And so finished their War Game.
