"No one gets me but you," Michelle cried as she stood in front of the door to Carla's flat.

"The people I have damaged, good people like-" Carla tried to explain.

"Pick themselves up," Michelle interrupted.

"Roy, Nick, Kathy," Carla continued, "The list is too long. All the damage I have done, all the guilt in here. It's too much."

There was a moment of silence as the two friends looked between each other before Carla spoke up.

"Chelle," Carla's voice broke into a whisper, "There'll be a gap okay for a while, but sand shifts, folk stick in-"

"No," Michelle shook her head.

"They will," Carla reassured her.

"No one like you," Michelle broke out into tears.

Carla stepped forward and took the women into her embrace and they stood there for a moment in silence, Carla placed a kiss on the side of the women's head as they hugged each other tightly.

"MiMi crying," Riley spoke up from Carla's arms.

"I don't want you and mummy to leave, that's why," Michelle smiled through the tears before taking her goddaughter from her friend who gave her a smile.

"I feel like we've only just got our sister and she's leaving," Kate laughed slightly as she hugged the older sister.

"Come and visit, yeah?" Carla asked.

"Try and stop us," Adian smiled hugging his sister after loading the last bit of luggage into the boot.

"Come on then princess, time to go," Carla smiled to her daughter, tears present in her eyes.

"But I miss MiMi," Riley protested, "And attie Kate and ucle Aidy."

"We'll still see them darling, they're going to come and stay at our new house, like we said remember," Carla said to her daughter moving the curls out of her face.

"We'll see you very soon," Michelle smiled to the girl.

"We promise," Nodded.

"And I'll even play with your dolly's house," Aiden smiled.

"Yeah," Riley grinned happily.

"We best get going before rush hour ladies," Jonny smiled to them from the front seat.

"Yeah, your right," Carla smiled back putting the little girl in her car seat then standing up to face where her friend was.

"I'll see you soon babe," Carla smiled.

"See you later," Michelle waved with tears covering her face, before walking off.

She got in the car blowing her siblings kisses as Riley waved rigorously at the window.

"Right then beautiful, let's get going," Carla smiled to her daughter as Jonny started the engine and drove out of the street.
