A couple days had passed and both Peter and Carla had decided that calling Michelle to explain everything was the best thing to do as they had both agreed they would move back to the street in order to help Carla and her treatment. Carla had been stressing out most of the day, worried about what Michelle would say or do about her and Peter getting back together, she just hoped she wasn't too annoyed.
"MiMi!" Riley screamed running to the door as Michelle walked through.
"Hello gorgeous," Michelle beamed putting her bag down and picking the three year old up before walking towards Carla.
"MiMi daddy told me that I'll live close to you again!" Riley grinned happily.
A silence descended for a moment as Michelle looked to Carla and Carla looked back, Michelle broke the silence turning to the little girl on her hip, "Is daddy here now darling."
"Chelle," Carla said quietly.
"He is playing hide and seek," Riley nodded before attempting to whisper, "But he's not very good, I saw him round the corner."
Taking a deep breathe, Peter stepped out from round the corner and into the eye shot of a confused and annoyed Michelle.
"There he is," Riley smiled as Michelle put her down without a word.
"Are you kidding me?" Michelle raised her eyebrows
"Listen please," Carla asked.
"Why don't we go get your ipad Riles, you can play some games, yeah?" Peter said picking his daughter up and walking out the room with her.
"Is this really all I've came here for," Michelle shook her head before heading to the door.
"Chelle please don't leave," Carla begged grabbing her friends hand as she moved from where she was in front of the kitchen counter.
"Why, why are you back with him after everything he did?" Michelle questioned.
"It's different, we're different, we took it slow and it's a lot more loving and happy now," Carla defended.
"How do you know it won't all happen again?" Michelle asked before whispering, "You nearly lost Riley cause of the stress Carla."
"That wasn't even Peter," Carla reminded her, "That was my brother, it wasn't even his fault."
"If that's how you sleep at night," Michelle sniped before going to walk to the door.
"Michelle wait please," Carla begged once again, "I really need you, I'm not well."
"How not well?" Michelle asked quietly after a few minutes.
"I've got bone marrow cancer, I really need you, I know you don't like him and I don't blame you in a way but I-"
Carla was cut off as Michelle flew into her arms, hugging her tightly but women with tears streaming down her face.
About an hour had passed and the three adults had all taken a seat and talked through everything that had happened. Michelle had come to terms with the idea of Carla and Peter being together again. She maid it very clear she did still not like the man after what he had put Carla through but said she would try to put it to one side after hearing how much he had been there for her friend. they had both explained they had found a house and where able to move in the 22nd but wanted to see if they could sleep at Michelle's for a few nights as they wanted to get back to the street and adjusted before they moved in. Michelle agreed at once, informing it would be perfectly fine especially as Robert was away on a course for a couple of days. Soon Riley ran out of her room and into the living room full of excitement.
"Mumma!" Riley shouted running into the living room then spotting Michelle sat next to her mum, "MiMi your still here!"
"She never left darling," Carla laughed lightly as she watched her daughter launch herself into Michelle's lap and make herself comfortable.
"Are you going sleeps here?" Riley asked sweetly.
"Yeah," Michelle smiled.
"Can you stay for tea time?" The little girl continued to ask.
"I will," Michelle smiled.
"Anyway," Carla broke in smiling at her friend, "Are you hungry?"
"Yes," Riley nodded affirmatively.
"I was thinking we could just get Chinese," Peter suggested, "By the time we cook something she'll be falling asleep."
"Yeah that sounds good to me," Carla agreed.
"I'll go get it, if you tell me how to get there," Michelle offered smiling.
"Oh no don't worry about it Michelle," Peter shook his head, "You've done enough driving for today."
"No honestly, you three have some time together, you said earlier you never usually get to spend time with Riles at the this time," Michelle assured picking the little girl up and putting her on the sofa next to Carla.
"If you are sure," Peter asked again but the women shook her head at him as she picked her coat and her bag up.
"It's fine, text me the place and the order and I'll be back soon," Michelle told them going to the door.
"Bye MiMi!" Riley shouted standing up and peering over the sofa.
With a small wave and call goodbye Michelle left the three together as Peter took a seat where Michelle had just been.
"Are you okay?" Peter asked, looking at Carla who nodded.
"Yeah," Carla smiled softly, "You?"
"Course I am, both my girls at the same time," Peter grinned before picking Riley up and throwing her into the air above his head and catching her again and she squealed with laughter.
He placed her back down and moved closer to the pair, "Come on then Riles what movie is it tonight?"
"Smurfs," Riley piped up happily.
"Again?" Carla sighed.
"2," Riley continued grinning from ear to ear.
"It gets worse," Peter muttered making Carla chuckle, "Right then smurfs 2 it is."
