Subtle Insinuations
"If you can't concentrate, Echizen-kun, then go stand in the back of the classroom!" The teacher let out a sigh in frustration, clearly at his wits end with dealing with the sleepy teen.
Ryoma said nothing, nor did he act in any way embarrassed. He merely pushed his chair back and walked slowly to the back of the room. Pulling his hat down over his eyes, he leaned against the wall and put his arms up under his head, . He was at the point of taking a short nap when he sensed a presence near him. Tilting his head up, he cracked open one eye and took in a slim figure taking a place beside him.
"Fuji-kun?" the teacher questioned, a little unnerved. When Fuji decided to take action, it usually did not bode well for the antagonist.
Fuji ignored the question. Instead, he opened his eyes to reveal the deep sapphire irises.
"Ne, Ryoma-kun, I'll keep you company," Fuji said softly. His tone, however, insinuated far subtler meanings than the ones he spoke. Because his gaze was directed at Ryoma, no one else saw the mischievous twinkle in the unfathomable blue depths.
Ryoma looked at him a second longer, and then pulled his hat down even further.
"Betsuni," he muttered, acting nonchalant.
However, Fuji's perceptive eyes saw the small blush rise up on the other's cheeks. He chuckled quietly to himself.
Saa, Ryoma-kun, I'll just have to make sure you're not bored later on…
A/N-I don't really do oneshots, but when inspiration hits, well… Anyhow, I was watching Pita Ten, and this idea came up.
Just let me say that I fully understand the fact that Fuji and Ryoma are in different grades and classes. I know that. So, there's no point in telling me what I do know. I swear, just one more non-constructive criticism…
Anyhow, I apologize for not posting up the next chapter of Elegy of Hope sooner. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoyed this oneshot, because I'm not really for writing them. Maybe.
