Jaehaerys Targaryen
The sun was shining high in the sky, no clouds and he could clearly see the blue sky. The city of King's Landing was on the horizon. Jae could feel the waves crushing against the ship. They were getting closer to the city. His brother said they would stay in The Red Keep for three days, before they make their way to Sun's Spear. They would stop at Starfall before they reached the castle of House Martell. If Jaehaerys was honest, he only wanted to see The Tower of Joy. He wanted to see the place where he was born and where his mother had drawn her last breath.
His father had told him that the tower was in bad shape. No one had been there since the Rebellion ended. But his father had been there a few times and had left blue flowers that Lady Lyanna always loved. Jae wasn't sure how to feel about House Martell. Prince Oberyn had accepted him and so did his daughters and Princess Arianne, especially her. But Jae knew Doran Martell was in charge of House Martell and from Mother Elia had told him. He was calculating man.
Egg had mentioned that they could always visit Summerhall. Since Jaehaerys will soon become the new prince of Summerhall. The castle was known as the most beautiful castle before the tragedy. The castle would be ready within a year. Rebuilding had cost good amount of gold, but Aerys Targaryen had left the treasury of King's Landing flowing with gold. And his father had made sure to not spend gold more than needed.
Jae felt anxious about ruling a Castle, he hoped he was ready for that. He knew he still had a few years before he married and start ruling his own castle. Will father approve of me wanting to marry both Rhaenys and Dany. My grandmother said that it was fine, thought Jae unsure. His father had stopped the marriage within blood, his grandmother told him that since he brought back the dragons. Rhaegar had agreed that they might need to marry within blood again.
Jae knew that mother Elia wouldn't be bothered by his choice of wives, she had hinted at him many times and done things to ensure that he would be alone with Rhaenys and sometimes even with Dany. She liked when he would spend time with Rhaenys.
Jae chuckled when he remembered that Elia had once told Egg to only let him to dance with Rhaenys. That was on the 12 name day of Jaehaerys.
Breaking from his thoughts, Jae saw as a huge wave crashed against the ship. He kept steady and didn't lose his footing. He was standing at the main deck of the ship, wearing a red silk shirt. Black pants made of silk. His sleeves were open slightly. Jae wear a red ring that belonged to his mother. That was the only jewelry he wear. Unlike the small council or sometimes Rhaenys. He didn't care to wear many jewelry like rings or earrings like some many woman of the court or even men liked to wear. Lady Margaery liked to wear expensive clothes, Jae knew The Reach was Rich, especially House Tyrell. Even Lord Loras Tyrell would wear expensive, sometimes even more than Lady Margaery.
Rhaenys would sometimes wear a earrings that looked like dragon heads. Daenerys only wear a silver necklace with a dragon head that stayed close to her cleavage.
Jaehaerys liked to wear simple clothes, mostly black and red clothes. He always said that he liked black color. That color always looked good on him. Dany always said that blackened red was the color that looked the best on him.
Looking at the city now. Jae was happy that there was no war against his family and House Stark or Lannister. He knew the lions of Castely Rock were just waiting for an opportunity to have blood on The Iron Throne. But what happened to Lord Stark was known throughout Westeros. Many called him 'The Lying Wolf' or 'The Unhonorable Wolf'. And Jae knew that Lord Stark was a perfect example to what might happen if you're against House Targaryen.
The North were quiet and didn't try to do anything against the crown. The Iron Island were silent too, and now that the Royal Family had dragons they wouldn't dare to do anything.
But now Jae was concerned with what was happening beyond the wall. He saw another dream of Aeraexes. He didn't know what it meant.
' Jaehaerys saw himself standing in front of what could have been the largest kingdom he had ever seen. What was left of houses and castles stretched as far as eyes could see. He could see black smoke coming from windows and reaching the sky. Creating a black cloud that blocked the sun.
"The Son of Ice and Daughter of Fire. A Dragon Has Three Heads" Jae heard a voice.
He looked up and could see black clouds around the sky. Sun couldn't shine through the clouds, it was darkness everywhere. Jaehaerys saw a white dragon descending from the clouds. The dragon roared in pain, his right wing had slipped open and blood coming out like waterfall.
Jae suddenly felt cold, his skin was slowly freezing, his fingers felt like they would fall. He felt the death coming to him. His right hand tried to grab the pommel of his sword but he could hardly move any of his frozen fingers. His black armor was slowly freezing and turning the color of ice. The fear of death conquered him, his lips slowly freezing. His eyes slowly turned to bright blue.
He wanted to speak but all his words had frozen on his throat. Jaehaerys saw the ice dragon landing in front of him. His blue eyes were white now. His head raised up and looked ready to breathe fire'
He had woken up before the dragon could attack. He just felt that he should go beyond the wall soon. That dragon was there and Jae wanted to know why he saw dreams with that dragon.
"Nice view, your grace" He heard Ser Arthur's voice. He turned to him. The man looked as strong as ever. His hands resting around the pommel of his swords. Wearing his King's Guard armor. The three headed dragon standing proudly on his chest.
"Good morning to you. Ser Arthur" Jae replied and turned back to look at the city.
He heard him walking closer to him. "Anything bothering you Jaehaerys?" Ser Arthur asked standing three feet away from him. Jaehaerys took a deep breath, the air of the morning filled his lungs. He wanted to clear his head. The dreams were nothing but dreams, Jaehaerys thought. But the feeling of cold he had felt, send shivers of fear in his body. In times like these, Jae wished he had Winter with him. She was always able to make him feel safe and better. Not even Bloodfyre was able to ease his worries like Winter was. Jae hoped she was safe and happy, and decided to soon see her again. She would have her puppies soon, and he needed to make sure her puppies would be safe.
"Just bad dreams Ser Arthur"
"Want to talk about it?" Ser Arthur asked as he took a step closer.
Jae shooked his head without turning to Ser Arthur. "Just dreams. Nothing more and nothing less" he responded in a tired tone. His voice tired of not getting enough sleep.
"I have seen you have taken an interest in history about The Long Night" Ser Arthur said slightly concerned since he didn't want Jaehaerys to start chasing stupid prophecies.
"I just like to read about history, and tales. History changes with different kings after all" Jae replied.
"What do you mean?" Ser Arthur asked his tone slightly interested.
Jae sighed and turned to look at Ser Arthur. "Tell me how do you think my father would have been remembered if Robert Baratheon won that day in the trident?" Jae asked with a tone that showed that he knew the answer.
Ser Arthur looked to struggle with what to say. He opened and closed his mouth many times. "He . . . People would still remember how gentle and good prince he was" he replied not believing his own words. Jae shooked his head and turned to look at the sea and the city on the horizon.
"No. My father would have been remembered as a rapist, and Robert Baratheon would have been remembered as the good men who started a war for the women he loved. Is true many people would remember my father as good and gentle. But after a few generations. People would only cared what books wrote about him. And they would write that my father was a rapist that had the Targaryen madness and that is what people would have remember" Jae finished.
Ser Arthur wanted to ask again when they heard the voice of the captain. "Your grace we should reach King's Landing very soon" the captain announced. He bowed his head to Jaehaerys much to his annoyance. He walked back to his cabin.
"I'm walking inside" Jae spoke and walked back to his cabin.
Jae didn't return to his cabin, he walked back to Dany's cabin. He walked inside, she was still lying on the bed. Her silver hair coming out of sheets that covered her naked body.
Jae walked slowly to her. He leaned his head forward and see her beauty face, she was a Valyria pretty. Her silver hair making her even more of a Princess than she already was. He leaned forward and kissed her forward. He then felt two hands on each side of his cheek. Dany was smiling at him and pushed his face to hers and their lips meet in a gently kiss.
Jae's hand went to her cheek and caressed her cheek with his thumb. Soon her hand slowly moved to his belt and their kiss depended. Jae wanted to remove the sheets that were covering her. But the sound opening was heard.
They immediately pulled away, and they turned to see Rhaenys staring at them.
Jae expected her to look at him angry but she was looking at both of them with lust and hunger in her eyes. Her eyes like a hungry dragon, she licked her lips. Her purple eyes went down to his pants. His cock was hard against his breeches. Almost painful.
She walked slowly towards him moving her hips seductively. Her dress had a big opening in her breasts, showing her cleavage to him.
"I didn't have you last night in my bed dear little brother" she said the word 'brother' almost like a moan.
Jae saw as Rhaenys walked closer to him. Swaying her hips to him. Her waist wasn't covered. She leaned her head close to him giving him a lick on his cheek, sending shivers of pleasure in his body. Jae felt like he would explode from his sister. Her eyes looking at him like a hungry dragon. His hand moved on his own and grabbed her ass cheek. Making her moan his name quietly. Rhaenys glanced at Dany with a smile.
"Next time you decide to fuck our aunt" she said quietly leaning her head close to his ear.
"Invite me too. Is been some time since I eat her pussy" she whispered with a tone almost like she was drunk. Jae felt his knee weak.
Rhaenys slowly turned her head away to look at his eyes. She gave him a quick kiss on the lips, it was short but Jae wanted to kiss her back and enjoy the sweetness of her mouth.
She smiled in victory snd turned to leave the cabin. She stopped in front of the door and turned her head to him. "Come now. We reached King's Landing" she said a smirk not leaving her face.
Tyrion Lannister
He closed the book, his other hand was holding a cup with wine. His father looked at him, judging him. He was aware of his father's eyes looking at him like a predator. Tyrion wasn't bothered by his look, he had that look from his father. His whole life.
"What did you find?" His father asked with a monotone tone. His eyes then went back to writing a letter. Tyrion didn't know to whom he was sending the letter, to his lords? To House Darry? To House Stark? Or maybe the Blackfyre across the Narrow Sea. Tyrion didn't know the answer and just took a sip from his goblet with wine.
"I searched for ways to put down a dragon" he said with a firm tone.
He pulled out his hand and closed in a fist. He raised one finger.
"A Dragon is vulnerable to bolts until he reaches 10 name days. After that it will get harder to the point when the bolts will just bounce off when they reach 12 name days" Tyrion stated and took another sip from his goblet with wine. The air seemed tense. His father had stopped writing and his pale green eyes looking at him. Many men would feel tensed and weak in front of the old lion.
Tyrion just shrugged his shoulders slightly and raised a second finger. "The small dragons of the royal family are only four name days. According to the books, they're still young to send in battles. Bolts would be harmful to them. Especially to their wings, neck or eyes" He continued.
Tyrion took another sip from his cup, a small leak of wine rolling from his mouth to his neck and falling down in the floor.
He raised a third finger. "Apparently fire can burn them. If an older dragon breaths fire to a young one. They would burn and die just like any men." He said and grabbed his cup with wine and poured down what was left to a candle making the wine burn like oil.
Tyrion turned his eyes to his father's cold ones. "Since we have no dragon to breath fire for us. We use the next best thing we can. Wildfire" He finished and started filling a second glass with wine as he waited for his father's answer.
Tywin instead of answering, his eyes went down to the letter and started writing again. Tyrion raised his eyebrows in confusion but kept quiet waiting for his father to finish. Silence took over the room, the only sound heard was the feather his father was using to write.
Tyrion's eyes were roaming around the room as his father kept writing. He took a deep breath and drink wine again, and trying to not make sound. His father finished the letter and gave the seal of House Lannister. The Lion of Castely Rock.
Tywin put the letter aside and his eyes went back to the dwarf in front of him.
"What about poison?" His father asked with a hint of interest in his voice.
Tyrion shooked his head. "Poison won't work on them. They're creatures of magic. Creature of fire as many books called them." He responded. His father left out an angry sigh.
"Can wildfire harm the big dragon of prince Jaehaerys?" At this question. Tyrion finally felt tensed by his father. He knew the large dragon breathed green flames like Wildfire. Hell if you asked some commoners or stupid people, they would answer that the dragon breathed Wildfire. But the dwarf was sure that it was impossible. Tyrion took his goblet and filled with wine to the lips of the goblet. He started drinking it until it was empty. He swallowed and put it back to the table.
"I . . . Don't know the answer to that. Giving how old Cannibal is. I won't be surprised if the monster can burn down walls of the castles like paper. But if Wildfire can hurt him? The only way to answer, is if we try it, and I don't really like this option" Tyrion finished.
His father's eyes hardened, his eyes narrowed and clenching his teeth slightly. He murmured something but Tyrion couldn't hear what.
"You have done a good job. Anything else?" He asked.
Tyrion shooked his head and his father stood up. He grabbed the letter from the table, and his eyes returned to Tyrion.
"You have done well. Tomorrow you will leave to King's Landing. I need you to meet someone" he said and left the room.
Leaving him alone in his thoughts. He wondered what that letter was all about.
Is my father a fox or a lion, or both? Tyrion asked himself and decided to go to a brothel and cool his head.
Arianne Martell
She was making her way to the main hall of Sun's Spear. Arianne didn't know why but had a guess why her father could have called her. She knew from her friend that apparently the royal family was coming to Dorne. Princess Daenerys Targaryen, Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, Prince Aegon Targaryen and Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen. She bit her lower lip slightly at the thought of the dark and handsome Jae.
She wished her father would arrange a marriage between her and him. She knew that Aegon liked her and she would lie if she said that he wasn't handsome and well build. Arianne had seen him shirtless many times when he spar with Prince Jae or maybe with a King's Guard. But Ari had no desire to become a queen, she just wanted to rule her home Dorne and make it better than ever before. She loved her home and wanted to live here until the end of her days. Unlike other kingdoms. Dorne had freedom for his people and never judged.
But she was slightly worried that maybe her brother Quentyn wanted to become the prince of Dorne. She was the oldest child of her father therefore the seat of Sun's Spear belonged to her. She knew if she married Prince Jaehaerys. Her brother would just go away with his tail between his legs. I would have my home and a good man for a husband, she thought with a small smirk on her face.
She reached the hall and opened the big doors, walking inside she saw her father sitting in a chair. But to her surprise. Quentyn and Uncle Oberyn were already there. She noticed Quentyn looked bored and slightly annoyed. While uncle Oberyn was smirking from ear to ear.
Her father noticed her and made a sign with his hand to her to walk closer. The guards all left the hall except the royal guard of her father.
"Now that you're here Arianne we might start" he started and pulled out a letter from his pocket.
"King Rhaegar had confirmed that his kids are coming to Sun's Spear along with princess Daenerys" her father continued. Ari noticed from the corner of her eyes that Quentyn smiled that the King's sister was coming here.
"Prince Jaehaerys will come here too" her father continued. Saying that and Arianne smiled despite knowing it. Uncle Oberyn looked pleased and had no problems with him coming. But Quentyn frowned and took a step closer.
"Father, why is the bastard coming here?" He asked, his chest high and trying to raise his tone. Arianne frowned and so did her father while Uncle Oberyn looked at him in disappointment. You're a fool, Prince Jaehaerys gave Aegon and Rhaenys dragons, and you think we should tell him to not come here Ari thought.
Doran slammed his hand on the table near him to keep quiet. Silence filled the hall and the tension raised. He pointed a finger at his second son with his eyes like a viper. "Quentyn. Your uncle had given me enough proof to trust that Prince Jaehaerys is a good prince and loyal to his brother. When he comes here. I don't want anyone to act with hostility towards him" he demanded, his tone firm and strong. Ari knew that if he acted with hospitality, then Elia would bring him hell.
Quentyn took a step back and lowered his head in shame. Arianne smirked and turned her eyes to her father again. He waited a few seconds to see if he would talk again but he kept quiet. He sighed and turned to Arianne.
"The royal party will first arrive on Starfall. You and uncle Oberyn will make your way to Starfall after a week" Her father said and Arianne nodded her head. She was more than eager to see her friends again. Is been seven months since the last time she saw Rhaenys. And see Aegon and Jaehaerys.
"I understand brother. Ellaria, Tyene and Nym will come as well" Uncle Oberyn said.
"Good, now you can leave. Except you Quentyn" her father said with an edge to his tone. Ari was interested what her father wanted to talk with the frog but decided to just leave the hall. She made her way to her bed chamber with a smile on her face.
Val
They were moving. Walking closer to the wall. Mance had ordered to move closer to the wall. They would soon meet the other clans. The Giants would first arrive, she hoped that nothing would go wrong between them. The Free Folk had never gotten along before. But Rayder had convinced them to work together and breach the wall.
But Val was concerned for Rayder, in front of them was a huge wall made of ice. And many among the free folks said that dark magic was used when the wall was made. They had searched for the Horn of Winter for a long time now. But found nothing. No horn anywhere.
But even if they found it. Val wasn't sure if using the Horn of Winter was the right decision. That would make their situation much easier to pass the wall, towards warmer lands. And the little children would not have to starve anymore, Val thought sadly. It broke her heart every time when a child died of the cold weather or because of starving. They would die without a name. The Free folk gave name to the kids only once they reached two name days.
But if the Horn really made the wall fall. That would free the way towards the south for The White Walkers and their giant spiders. She sighed and decided to talk with Mance.
Her tent was close to Mance's. Val's sister was pregnant with his son. Walking outside felt the frozen ground beneath her, the snow making noise after every step. The Winds of winter hitting her naked skin around her eyes. That send shivers of coldness in her body. She used a piece of cloth to cover her face except the part around her eyes. Her blond hair tied in a ponytail that reached to her waist. A dagger tighted to her. She soon reached his tent and walking inside. She saw Mance standing close to her sister. Dalla was lying on the ground sleeping and covered by sheets. He was gently touching her belly.
His eyes turned to look at her and he moved his hand away and stood on his feet.
"What can I do for you Val?" He asked slightly tired and offered her a place to sit close to him. She nodded and sit close to him. He offered her some milk.
"I wanted to know if the plan to breach the wall is the best one Mance?" She asked worried.
He sighed tired. "There's no other plan Val. And you know it" he replied.
"What about the dragons of House Targaryen?" She asked. Some wildlings had gone beyond the wall three years ago. Some of them had returned and had informed them of the dragon that a certain prince had under his control. Val didn't know how much of that was true, but if the kneelers had dragons now that they could control. Then they would just burn them down once they passed the wall.
"We don't know if the stories are true. And even if they were The kingdoms never cared for The Wall or the crows" he replied knowing that might not mean anything. He didn't know if the current king would help the Wall. He knew King Rhaegar was a good one. And probably will help the wall.
"Mance, you know very well this is suicide" she stated.
Mance looked at her straight in the eyes. "Victory cannot be achieved without sacrifice Val" he replied with a strong tone. Val knew what he said was true. She sighed sadly and looked at the ground covered by a large sheet. But then she thought that maybe there was a way, a better way.
"Maybe there's another way to make sure our people get to safety".
