Emily had risen around 6 to make a pot of coffee for herself and JJ. She stopped at the alcohol cupboard they kept locked. She looked in at the mountains they stored, the wine, the whisky and the vodka for the hard party nights. It had helped her so much the past 6 weeks. Today would be the first day she hadn't drank. She had yet to see how the day was going to plan out. All she knew was in an hour 6 kids would be up running cray with their fresh bouts of energy, and she needed to be on her top game.

She stood looking into the big yard the house had attached. She smiled thinking of all the time she and her family had spent out there. She loved the summer months. BBQ's, paddling pools, late night hot tub sessions. She was disturbed from her thoughts as the coffee machine pinged showing it was done. She poured herself and JJ a cup. She knew JJ liked a cup every morning. She took both upstairs. She placed JJ's beside her as she crawled back in on her side.

"Morning Jayje." She leaned down planting a kiss on JJ's head before she moved back to drink her coffee.

JJ rolled over. A smile graced her face seeing Emily was still here. "Morning beautiful." She leaned up on her elbow, she returned Emily's kiss before laying on her back for a moment.

"I brought you a coffee. It's fresh."

"Oh, I didn't tell you. The doctor said caffeine is a big no no with seizures." The blonde pouted remembering how much she loved her coffee.

"Oh." Emily sulked slightly. It showed her actions had consequences. She didn't even know her wife couldn't have caffeine anymore. "I'm sorry. I didn't know."

JJ sat up handing Emily the coffee which had been made for herself. "It's fine. I should have told you. Here. You have it. It means you get some extra juice before we start the day. It's a busy day." She stood from the bed heading over to the wardrobe grabbing herself some slacks for the day.

"What's the plan for today?"

"Alice is going to be here by 8. She wants to get back into a routine with the kids, she was going to drive me and the kids to school and then to my appointment. But you can come if you like, and Alice can watch Gracie. But you don't have to if you don't want too." Suddenly JJ felt nervous. She stood at the end of the bed with her clothes in her arms afraid she might have scared Emily too much. The appointments might be too much for her.

Emily nodded getting up herself. "No, it's fine. I'll take you. I may not have been here for your other appointments but I am now I promise. I love you."

JJ smiled kissing her wife. "I love you too." They parted to get ready. JJ taking the ensuite, Emily taking the family bathroom.

An hour later all the kids were up. Emily making breakfast while JJ got everyone's outfits and school bags ready. They sat down for breakfast together having a very excitable morning. Luke and Samantha were excited for their first day in Kindergarten and the rest excited to be moving up a grade. Gracie sat just excited to be up and able to play. JJ excused herself feeling herself going into an episode. Luckily Alice had arrived so Emily sat with JJ waiting for the episode to be over.

It was only a short seizure lasting around 2 minutes. So the morning routine resumed pretty quickly. Emily was helping Michael style his hair when he got curious.

"Mommy?" He asked timidly.

"What's up bud?" She was combing over his long hair to show his fresh shave on the other side.

"Don't you love us anymore?" He asked.

Emily paused. Why would her son think like that? "I love you all very much. Why? Has someone said I don't love you?" She sat down on the sofa tapping her knee for Michael to sit on her lap. He joined her and she wrapped her arms around him.

"No, but you went away from a long time. When you go away with work, you phone and tell us night and that you love us. But you didn't for a long time. Momma cried a lot too because you didn't phone." He confessed. He leaned back into his Mom missing when he used to sit and hug her all the time. Before Emily did her disappearing act they were attached at the hip. Cooking together, planning together, and he would always come to Emily for help with homework because his Momma 'Just wasn't good at it' as he said.

Emily nodded. "Michael, you know how me and Momma got hurt, I had a poorly head and I needed to get better. But I didn't want to upset you." She tried to explain it without exposing to much to her innocent counterpart.

"Poorly like Momma when she gets shakey?" He questioned and eyebrow raised.

"Not really. Momma's poorly is all over her head. But my poorly was just in the middle. I had to fix mine by having lots of quiet. When I had my poorly, I was naughty and didn't talk to Momma or you guys. I should have said I love you and I'm sorry I didn't because you know something."

"What?" He asked raising his eyebrow just how JJ did.

"I love you very very very much." She exclaimed as she planted hundreds off kisses all over him making Michael giggle. Emily smiled hearing the laughter of one of her babies. She guessed the others must feel like this and she had a lot to do to make it right.

JJ popped her heard around the door. "Michael, do you wanna go jump in the bus. Alice is getting everyone in now."

"Sure Momma." He jumped up from Emily's knee grabbing his bag on the way out. The older agent stood and made her way towards JJ.

"I heard what he said. I just want you to know, no one ever said you don't love them." JJ told her, she grabbed her purse from the counter next to the coats. "I told them you were busy and would be back when you were free. I didn't mean for them to think that." JJ confessed.

Emily grabbed a hand. "Don't worry about it. It's my own fault. I shouldn't have done what I did."

JJ nodded. "But I still should have made it more clear to them. We can sort this out tonight at dinner. We'll talk to them and tell them what happened."

Emily nodded. She and JJ both walked out to the bus. JJ in the passenger seat, Emily the drivers. First days at school were exciting for everyone. Including the 6 screaming children in the back.
