Arya Stark
The were making their way to Winterfell, it had been eight days since they started their journey. The ground was covered in snow as far as eye could see. The small lakes had frozen and the little animals would hide in their little holes. The cold wind would hit her face sending shivers through her whole body. She wore dark gloves and a cloak made of bear skin, it reached from her waist to her neck.
Her breathing was visible because of the cold, her nose was slightly red and her ears were covered with a hat. It had started snowing for three days and hadn't stopped since then. Arya could feel the snow crunching beneath the horse's legs. The snow was half a step deep.
The trees around were covered in snow, sometimes wind would pass by and branches would hit one another and made the snow covering them falling in the ground. One of her hands was inside a pocket of her cloak and the other holding the reins of the horse. A small sword tightened to her hip.
Her eyes slowly turned to the horsemen beside her.
"What's wrong Richard?" She asked softly as Richard was keeping his head low almost wanting to cover it beneath the cloak. His nose red almost like blood. His lips looked frozen, his mouth moving up and down all the time.
"Is cold" he replied his voice low and just then a huge wind pass by. Arya tried to hide her face but the wind still felt cold in her naked skin. Sending shivers in her whole body. Her throat felt cold and sometimes she wondered if it was better to not breathe, everytime she breath, cold air filled her throat making it feel like she had little blades inside her throat.
She had grown up in the North but she was raised during the Summer as everyone called it, The Winter was coming just like the words of her own house. Lady Dacey said that wouldn't take long until The True Winter truly comes. She hoped it wouldn't be how some stories describe the long winters. Years of nothing but cold, children would born and die in winter, and The White Walkers would come with their army of the dead and their giant spiders.
Arya had heard that story many times, she didn't really believe in dead man walking but her brother was able to bring back the dragons to the world perhaps White Walkers will come back as well just like the dragons.
"Why is so cold?" Richard asked as he was rubbing his hands together.
Arya shrugged her shoulders as her horse kept walking.
"Who knows. I thought you got used to the cold, summer boy" she said shyly with a small smile on her face. Richard rolled his eyes at her words.
In the begging had been very hard for him to stay in The North, he had went from Dorne to The North. Which were the exact opposite of each other.
Richard thought he was used to the cold after three years in Bear Island but since it had started snowing it had gotten very cold. He felt his nails like they would just fall in cold ground at any moment. Gloves he was wearing helped but not enough, the cloak was very good for the cold weather.
"I'm not a Summer boy anymore. I'm as cold as the North itself" Richard insisted looking at Arya.
She just gave her a look that showed that she didn't really believe it.
Richard was about to say something when he heard someone coming from behind them. He turned his head to see the rest walking towards them on horseback. Lady Dacey was in the front. Her beautiful face hidden behind the cloak.
Richard had noticed that he had started seeing ladies in a different way for three years now. He couldn't help but marvel at her beauty. Arya was beautiful too and deadly and how he wished his lover would be. Richard never thought he would ever marry, he was a bastard and no lady would want to have him.
But if he ever had a lover he would wanted to be like Arya, strong, funny, with charm and good at horse riding. He didn't wanted helpless woman who needed to be saved.
He stopped thinking about Arya when Lady Dacey cleared her throat to have their attention.
"What were you two talking about?" She asked looking at Richard and then at Arya.
"We were talking about the cold, it had snowed before but was never this cold" Richard replied holding the reins with both of his hands.
Lady Dacey walked closer. "You know nothing about the cold summer children. Have you ever been to the wall?" She asked glancing at both of them. They both shooked their heads. Richard had wanted to see the wall at least once and so did Arya. Seeing the biggest structure build since forever. Not even castles like Winterfell or The Red Keep or DragonStone could compare to how much work was put to build the wall.
"I have been there a few times to see my uncle. Is so cold there that would make this weather look like summer" she stated holding the reins of the horse tightly. A club and a sword tightened to her hips, she wore a green cloak that a had a dark hood. The bear of house Mormont standing proudly on her chest. Her long dark hair like Arya's coming out of her hood and dancing with the wind.
Arya looked convinced with what she said while Richard was thinking if in the wall was so cold then how was beyond the wall. How did the wildlings even survived in that kind of weather. Just the thought of that made him shiver. And he understood why would the wildlings want to go south.
After minutes of silence, Arya heard sounds coming from the trees, her hands slowly coming out from her pocket and going to the pommel of her sword. Her sword was short and thin as a needle. She glanced behind her to see that Richard and Dacey had heard the sound.
She heard the sound grew louder as they got closer. Arya heard sounds of what she thought was whining of little animals. Her horse reached a lake that was frozen and close to it she saw a deer dead on the ground, blood coming out of the stomach, the snow red with blood and guts from the dead deer. She couldn't smell anything so she knew the deer had died recently. Her eyes slowly following the trail of blood going from the deer further away.
Arya could see something white lying on the snow and the little sounds were coming from there. She glanced down at her horse and could see he wasn't afraid or trying to change the direction. She slowly moved her right leg to the left side of the horse and jumped down from the horse.
Lady Dacey followed her and stood in front of Arya, she walked behind her and saw little puppies standing close to . . .
"Winter" Arya screamed and ran at the direwolf. She quickly reached and checked if she was breathing. Her eyes widened at the antler deep in her chest, the snow close to her wound was red with blood and even the antler was covered in red, her mouth was wide open and her tongue out. Arya knew this one was Winter. Her hand softly touched her chest.
"Come on girl" she begged moving her chest slightly, but the wolf didn't moved. Arya felt hot tears in her eyes and slowly rolling down her cheek. Her hand moved to direwolf's face and closed her brown eyes. "I'm sorry Winter" she cried.
Arya saw as the little puppies were still trying to suck from her tit, they made noises to their mother. Arya felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see Richard giving her a apologetic look. Dacey was more focused on the little puppies.
"Is Prince's Jaehaerys direwolf" Dacey said still remembering the large beast standing close to the prince all the time.
"Why is here and not with the prince?" Richard asked looking at Dacey.
"A direwolf is not made for the south unless you want it to suffer until it dies from the weather" she stated looking back at her people.
Arya turned to look at the puppies, they were six puppies. Most of them black and white color, except one that had red ears and white fur.
She slowly grabbed one of them and holding almost as she was afraid that it would break. "Shhhh is alright now. Arya is here" she said softly to the little puppy who still had his eyes on his mother.
"We should feed them" Richard said and walked to the one with red ears, he softly grabbed it. The little puppy looked at Richard almost like he was looking for something.
Richard laughed and looked at Lady Dacey who looked at Winter with sadness.
Arya was about to say something when the horses started moving their legs up and making noises. And even trying to run away.
"They're afraid of something" Dacey said and walking towards her horse trying to calm her down. Arya looked around to see why they were afraid but then she heard a loud noise. That sounded like a thunder. Everybody looked at the direction of the noise, their weapons drawn but then Arya heard it again and getting closer. Even the trees around looked to be shaking. Her eyes went up to see a dragon as big as a mountain flying towards them.
"Jon" she whispered noticing that someone was riding the dragon. The large beast roared and landed close to them shaking the ground. His wings and legs crushed down the trees he landed. Arya slowly smiled at the beauty of the dragon.
Jaehaerys Targaryen - Earlier
The pain was slowly going away, he felt his arms and legs slowly feeling normal again. His mind was only on Winter, she was gone and he still couldn't believe it. But Bloodfyre was circling around the Red Keep. His giant figure put a big shadow over the city of King's Landing.
"Call a maester" mother Elia screamed at the guards. Jae slowly stood up and his father and the rest of the family was looking at him with concern.
"Jae are you alright?" He asked touching his cheek. But all Jaehaerys could think was Winter.
"I need to go, Winter is not alright" he said and stood on his legs and looking up at Bloodfyre.
"Jae what happened? What do you mean Winter is not alright?" Rhaenys asked holding his hand tightly.
Bloodfyre then landed on the training yard, one of his giant wings crushed a small house made of wood and the ground shake. Jae started walking towards Bloodfyre ignoring the calls of his family.
"Jaehaerys" Bloodfyre said concerned.
"We're jāre naejot Jelmor(we're going to the North)" Jae said with a sharp tone and climbed on top of Bloodfyre and his eyes looked at his family standing in front of him.
"I will return soon" he promised and holding the spikes tightly as Bloodfyre spread his wings and took the skies. Jae saw as he fly higher and higher. He saw the city going away from him. To Jae's surprise he saw that the other dragons had arrived too but they weren't chasing them.
After flying for what felt hours, Jae reached the location. He landed in the ground. It was snowing. Jae saw people close to them but decided to ignore them. He jumped down from the head of Bloodfyre and ran at Winter. His eyes saw a very familiar girl standing close to Winter. It took a moment and he understood that it was Arya. Her hair had grown, and her face looked different. Jae would have smiled if it wasn't for Winter. Close to her was Richard who hadn't changed much.
Jaehaerys slowly reached Winter who was dead on the ground, he knew she was dead. His heart skipped a beat, hot tears on his as he placed his hand on her body. It felt cold beneath his skin, the warmness he felt many times when he slept alone was gone. She would always sleep close to him and her warm body would always keep him warm.
Jae kept looking at Winter looking at her, almost expecting her to open her eyes and lick his face like many other times.
"Stop it you know I don't like it when you do it"
Jae remembered when he told Winter many times that he didn't liked to be licked in the face. How much he would give now for her to wake up again and lick his face just like when he was only a child.
His mind then went to the first time he met her, when he was only nine name days. Many times they had hunted together.
"Rest isse lyks ñuha raqiros(Rest in peace my friend)" Jae whispered under his breath as he was caressing her body like he did before. The silence took over and Bloodfyre lowered his head close to Jae looking at Winter with what could be described as sadness.
"Jon" he heard Arya's voice. He looked up to see Arya looking at him with a little puppy on her arms. He looked over her shoulder to see Lady Dacey and Richard standing. Only then Jae noticed the little puppies still staying close to Winter.
A small smile spread through his face seeing the little 'Winter' walking around. "Your grace, can I ask how did you know this happened?" Lady Dacey asked taking a step closer but glancing at Bloodfyre every now and them. Jae sighed his head still down. He looked up and stood on his legs.
"Fly away" Jae ordered and Bloodfyre flew away releasing strong winds because of his wings. The snow spread in the air. After he flied away only then Jae noticed that it was slightly cold.
"I'm a warg. I felt her" he replied and then felt someone hug him tightly. He looked down to see the dark hairs of Arya.
"I missed you Jon" Arya said against his chest. He smiled and rubbed her hair. "How are you little sister?" He asked and hugging her back. Arya's hug seemed to be tightened when he said 'little sister'.
Jaehaerys saw as Lady Dacey followed by Richard and more of her people approached since Bloodfyre had flied away.
"Lady Dacey is good to see you again" he greeted her respectfully. She smiled at him and kneeled her head and so did all the others except Arya.
"Pleasure is all mine, what do you want to do with the little puppies?" She asked giving the puppies a glance. Jaehaerys pulled Arya away and counted them.
"There are six puppies here" he said and grabbed two of them. He turned to Arya. "One for Rickon, for Bran, you, for Sansa, for Robb and you Richard" he said and Lady Dacey nodded and so did Richard who was holding a puppy with red ears.
"What about you Jon? Winter was your direwolf?" Arya asked with sadness in her tone. Jae sighed sadly and shooked his head. The other came and took the puppies away.
Jae was about to say something when he heard a little sound coming from behind him. He turned to see a seventh puppy walking towards them. He was as white as the snow beneath him, would be very hard to notice if he wasn't moving around the snow, his red eyes shining and to Jae's surprise he wasn't making a single sound.
Jae smiled and walked to him. He kneeled and caressed his head. "Hey little Winter" he whispered softly and grabbed him gently.
"That one is your's Jon" Arya shouted looking at the little puppy. Jae turned to her and nodded his head in agreement and returned back to the others.
"Do you have any food for them?" Jae asked concerned.
"Of course your grace, we have milk and meat ready for them" Lady Dacey replied and walked back to her people.
He looked back at Winter, he gave the little puppy to Arya and he kneeled in front of Winter. He grabbed the antler and slowly pulled it away from her body.
"What will you do with her?" Arya asked from behind him.
"I will bury her" he stated. He turned and took his puppy from Arya's arm and Jae followed Lady Dacey and Arya stood on his left. A smile not leaving her face as she was playing with the little puppy.
They soon reached a few carriages that were filled with different things, food, water and supplies. People there had started making tents, all of them were wearing big black cloaks. He noticed one of the tents was larger than the others. One of them came to him with a cloak on his hands.
"To keep you warm your grace" he said and bowed his head in respect. He wore it and indeed was very warm.
"Jon how will you name him?" Arya suddenly asked. Jae thought about a name, he looked down at the puppy, he noticed that he wasn't making any sounds and was white as snow. He smiled and looked at Arya.
"Ghost"
A Loyal Servant
It was chaos, the word of the beast of the bastard prince flying around the city had spreaded like Wildfire. If that wasn't enough the little monsters of the Royal Family had arrived too and definitely ready to start eating and burning people alive.
The high sparrow had called for a gathering, the dragons needed to be put down once and for all. Right now he found himself in the midst of a crown, people were too close to each other that next person close to them could smell their sweat, their sickness. People were pushing one another, the place was dark as night, one could hardly see beyond his nose. The people had started crying for mercy to The Seven, to The Highsparrow.
"Oh god Save us from The Creatures of The Hell" one would shout and follow by agreements among the crown. The smell of shit could be recognized since some came from 'The Flea Bottom, and people called the dragon king 'The Good'. He had married two wives and had forsaken the Seven.
He should be shamed of himself, his body stripped naked and to make the Walk of Shame for everyone to see his sins. But the man wasn't here to agree with stupid ideas of The Seven and their 'Loyal' servants. It would take only one coin to brought them and to start insulting the faith the next day.
His hands slowly moved to his small beard, his fingers going through the beard. His other hand slowly touching the wound on his body from a fight for love.
Suddenly the door opened and inside came people of the seven holding torches. They turned their heads to see the high sparrow with his hands behind his back.
"Save Us from the monsters" one cried followed by many who agreed. The old sparrow hold his hand.
"I know these are hard times, today the royal family had shown their true color. They brought the monsters of the hell here in the city" High Sparrow said and his voice was heard throughout the whole hall. As everyone was silent to hear the words of the 'man of god'.
"But don't worry. The God hasn't abandoned us and soon will send the false prince and his family back to the seven Hells" he shouted and everyone cheered except him. He fought the urge to roll his eyes at his speech for power.
"Now leave and don't forget to spread the word that dragons had started attacking the innocents of King's Landing. They're stealing our children and eating the corpses of our loved ones.
"Yes High Sparrow" they shouted idiotically and soon were guided outside the hall leaving the man alone with the high sparrow. The silence took ever the hall as the high sparrow turned to look at his loyal servant.
"Any news from House Lannister?" The High Sparrow asked still holding his hands behind his back. The white hair could be seen in his head, the white rob with cuts around to made him look like he was one with the stupid people of King's Landing.
"Of course my lord. After all everyone likes to climb the ladder but many fall in the end"
