Markus P.O.V

[Ugh holy shit my head hurts... what is that light? Everything is blurry. What are those noises? Is that a IV in my arm. Shit I must be in the ER again.]

Markus started to blink trying gain focus on where he was. He slowly started to see two silhouettes sitting next to him. After a few more minutes of blinking he realized it was Eren and Annie.

"Ann-nie is that you?", he questioned while propping himself up.

No one P.O.V

Annie said nothing but, just simply hugged him. This was first time she hugged her sibling. Markus was shocked by the sudden embrace and slightly pained. Markus then joined on her embrace and felt something wet leak down his shirt along, with a whimper sound.

"You idiot! How many times are you freak me out!", Annie shouted hysterically while tightening the hug.

"I'm sorry...", Markus trailed off while feeling a sudden a weight on his shoulders.

"I don't want to lose another family member!", Annie shouted while burying her head into his chest.

Markus despite his best try started feel water to slip out his eyes. He bawled his eyes just repeating I am sorry.

"You- I mean we don't know if your mom died.", Eren said in the corner of the room.

This made the siblings calm down a bit.

"So what happened to me? I mean I know I passed out but what happened to me?", Markus practically croaked.

Eren grabbed a box tissues and gave it to the siblings. He then sighed and stated, "You apparently had internal bleeding so you passed out and was dead for two minutes."

Markus looked at himself and saw a massive cut in his abdomen.

"Where is dad?", Markus asked.

"Dad is currently helping the police find the man who did this to you.", Annie replied while clearing her throat and she let go of Markus.

"Markus... how do you feel mentally? You look quite stirred.", Eren said with a very uncharacteristic tone.

"Yes or at least I think so.", Markus replied while looking into a mirror.

"Eren are you alright?", Markus asked while staring at Eren who has covered his face.

Eren was wiping away a tear and quickly composed himself.

"I was thinking about my parents.", replied a sullen Eren.

Then out of nowhere a doctor ran into the room and said, "Mrs. Leonhardt is awake."

Eren then offered Markus a hand and helped him out the bed. Markus then grabbed his IV cart and made his way down the hospital. Annie followed in pursuit to the room.

Mrs. Leonhardt has a brace along her spine and her mouth had stitches on her left jaw.

"Mom!", both Markus and Annie shouted.

"I am sorry to make you two worried.", Mrs. Leonhartdt stated while holding her arms out.

Markus was about to embrace her until he stopped dead in his tracks.

"What is wrong my child?", Mrs. Leonhardt asked a shaking Markus.

"I did this to you. I shouldn't even be in the same room with you. I am a monster.", Markus replied while turning around.

Mrs. Leonhardt then grabbed Markus and hugged him tightly. She then said, "I don't blame you Mark."

Markus had once again started to cry.
