Its not the best. I am dyslexic so my english isn't the best i do try, and spell check is my best friend. For those that reviewed thank you so much I love you all. I am doing better now. My ankle is healed but plays up and same with my wrist it constantly plays up, but oh well haha, for the reviewer that asked.
I am going to let you all know in case anyone says anything because I have had a couple of PM's about it. Some of the stuff in this story I have been through/am going through myself. So for those that said something/will say something, don't read it. This is a coping mechanism.
Also: Trigger warning for the next few chapters so if you do get triggered please be careful. (Some people trigger really easy)
Good luck reading
JJ was stirred from her sleep, there was a faint chatter which had disturbed her from the little sleep she had. She could here familiar voices drifting about, although she was slightly confused at first. As she became more conscious she knew it was the team. She rolled slightly hoping to find Emily. She felt the bed cold beside her. Where was Emily? She needed her brunette friend. She needed her surrogate mother to keep her safe. "Emily." She whimpered opening her eyes.
First her eyes met with Garcia who was at her bedside. "Emily." She cried a little louder. As she looked round the room she could only see Derek, Hotch and Rossi. There's no sight of Emily or even Spencer. "Please I need Emily." She began to sob, wanting no one but Emily in her vulnerable state. She was an adult in a child's body, having experienced a horrific trauma and now feeling incredible ill.
Just as the young blonde was about to call out again, the older agent came into sight. Garcia moved to help Emily onto the bed. JJ used her good hand to hold onto Emily's hospital gown, so she couldn't escape. "Stay Please Emily. Don't leave me." She begged crying into her gown.
"Hey now.." Emily spoke in a soothing tone. "I'm not going anywhere, I'm on the bed next to yours. I promise Jayje, I'm not going anywhere." Her arms wrapped around JJ and one hand stroked her hair, comforting the hysterical blonde. Emily looked to the others shocked at the behaviour of the young agent.
Rossi felt it was time for the three injured team members to get some rest. He knew the three needed to talk about everything they had been through and they wouldn't want to do it with prying agents. He pulled Derek, Hotch and Garcia from the room, assuring them that some quiet time is what they needed. They all left the room waving goodbye and Garcia blew kisses to those stay in hospital.
"Talk to me JJ. Talk to Spence, we want to help you." Emily put her hand under JJ's chin pulling it up to meet her eyes. The brunette felt bad for the girl in her arms. She had the worse deal out of the lot. Her childhood had been horrible, she dealt with a lot in a short period of time. And now she was reliving it, with extra trauma on top of that. Emily could only be grateful of her own life and hope she could be there for her lonely friend.
JJ looked to Spencer who was making his way to her bed also. She wanted to tell them, but the thoughts she was having in her head weren't be shared. After everyones reaction when she told them about her past she didn't want to share that with anyone. The thoughts were making JJ feel insane, she felt like a young mind and her adult mind were telling her two different things. It hurt her head. She needed to tell Emily and Spencer something. So she thought about what to say. "I can't do this" she settled on.
"Do what?" Spencer asked from the end of her bed where he sat.
"I'm tired, I'm scared, and I don't feel well. I just want to go home. I'm safe there." JJ confessed, partly being the truth.
"You'll be tired and ill because of all the drugs and the pneumonia, it makes you feel like that." Spencer said using some of his knowledge to comfort JJ.
Emily spoke after Spencer needed to reassure the blonde that she is safe. "Seth's dead. You are safe. I wouldn't say that if I didn't believe it. When we get back to DC then you'll be able to be an adult and you'll go back to normal. I promise."
"I wanna be normal now. I wanna go home." She weakly pushed Emily off her. She made an effort to climb of the bed and away from her two friends. Pushing people away is what she knew best. "Don't you think its stupid we have to stay here? We should be allowed home." She shouted upset she couldn't go home. She could feel herself getting more and more wound up, needing a release.
Spencers eyes widened. He hated when JJ got like this. It upset him She was his best friend and all he wanted to do was wrap his arms around her and make her feel better. Make her back to how she used to be.
Emily climbed up off the bed, trying to make her way round to an angry JJ. "This isn't going to get you anywhere JJ. We have to get better first. We all have to heal. So just get back in bed and you'll get better much quicker."
"No. I'm going home." JJ took off her oxygen, she pulled all the wires off and pulled out her IV. She was determined to be going home. Taking off her monitor set off alarms sending doctors and nurses running in to see a hysterical patient. One of the Doctors was Sophie. Nurses moved Emily and Spencer out the way and into their beds while Sophie dealt with JJ.
"JJ you need to get back into bed and back onto the monitors before you hurt yourself." She said calmly. Sophie had kneeled down and was at JJ's height, she tried to make eye contact but JJ was searching for something muttering to herself. "JJ stop and come here now."
JJ whipped her head round shouting no. She had tears streaming down her face, which was also bright red. She needed shoes. Once she had shoes she could leave. She needed shoes.
Sophie turned to one of the nurses. "Can you get me 5mg of Lorazepam and some restraints please." She said in a hushed and calm tone.
"JJ listen to the doctor." Emily called over.
No one was getting through to her. JJ was just fed up. She always ended up in hospitals, so she was done. Anger was the only way she could get any kind of release at the moment. In her anger she ever ripped the sling off her arm and let it drop to her side.
"JJ, I get that this is bad but you get in bed before I have to sedate you. You're an adult so I can do this if I need to. You know you shouldn't causing more harm to yourself. Look at you. Your breathing is awful, you can't move one arm and you can't walk properly." Sophie said grabbing the needle off the nurse who had brought it in. They knew this routine. The nurse will grab hold of JJ while Sophie injected her then they would restrain her on the bed till she came round.
When JJ didn't even acknowledge the doctor the action started. JJ was very quickly injected with lorazepam, but it didn't take effect just yet. The nurse and doctor were much stronger than the petite girl. Effectively restraining the girl and watching as the lorazepam took effect. JJ soon became drowsy and then was asleep, where they could now treat her, providing her with oxygen, splinting her arm and hooking her back up to her IV and monitors.
"O2 levels are low." The nurse spoke as she checked all her vitals.
"Okay, keep an eye on it. Check on it every half an hour and record it. Set her up with some morphine for when she wakes, she will likely be in some pain with her arm, and report back to me, page me when she's awake." Sophie said leaving the room to take a minute.
Emily and Spencer had watched the whole thing in horror, as JJ had got sedated and restrained. Bot had tears seeing the effect it had on their best friend. But with her now being asleep the decided to lay down and chat, where they both finally drifted off.
