p class="MsoNormal"strongThis story is coming to an end quickly due to loss of motivation and not knowing what to do with the story sorry. /strong/p
p class="MsoNormal"strongI'm heart broken at the end of criminal minds and have cried for weeks about it. Sorry hahaha /strong/p
p class="MsoNormal"They thought the transition of going back to an adult would automatically make them recover. JJ and Spencer both thought that they could be normal again. But not only them but the doctors underestimated how much they would need help. Spencer's headache came back full force so he was being wheeled for a CT. JJ was in a lot of pain with all different stuff, her arm, her chest, and the damage which had been done to her private area. All the pain intensified. Sophie was going to stay with JJ while Katie went with Spencer./p
p class="MsoNormal"All the team knew, who were waiting outside, was things hadn't gone a planned and things were being controlled, and tested before any of them go in. No matter how much they begged. They took a seat and kept their eyes on the door they saw Spencer be wheeled out then around an hour later, a sleeping JJ was rushed out too. This was when Sophie came to give them the news about how it had gone./p
p class="MsoNormal""We have good news and bad news." She grimaced. They had promised to turn their agents back to normal with no issues. They were normal but, their injuries hadn't gone as Ralph had said. "So firstly as you probably saw they are both back to adults. They are themselves, but the injuries sustained were made worse. Spencer's head intensified by 10 times so he headed for a CT but should be back soon which you ill probably be allowed to see him. We are taking JJ up to the ICU the pneumonia has intensified so her oxygen levels are low and unstable, we will get a portable x-ray but just by looking at her arm, she will need surgery so she's going to be up there for at least a week. But we have to think positive about them both. They are back to normal, at least we did it safely here where they were monitored and able to be rushed for tests. But I'm going to follow JJ up to the ICU. So if you have any questions Katie will be here shortly to talk to you." With that the doctor left and hurried up to the critical floor where she could monitor. What was her patient, and is now her sisters patient while handover was sorted and her sister became free./p
p class="MsoNormal"The change from adult to child was hard. There were consequences but hopefully soon enough they should have their normal team back./p
p class="MsoNormal"It was only a few days after the change, that things were normalising. JJ was stable and was heading for surgery, she would remain in the ICU for another few days after surgery to be monitored but her asthma was much more controlled with steroids and oxygen while she had pneumonia taking over her body./p
p class="MsoNormal"Spencer was due for discharge, which would mean 2 out of 3 were ready to go home. His concussion had originally seemed worse when he had his scan but after having scans for the past could of days and riding out the headache his pain had stopped, and he was ready to leave an manage the small amount of existing pain himself./p
p class="MsoNormal"Emily had loved being discharged it meant her and Hotch had been able to share a hotel room and she had been very protected from her not very secret boyfriend now. The only person she had left to tell was JJ, but the blonde had only been awake in small increments over past few days, so she hadn't said anything. Other than that, she still had her pain, but being in hospital with JJ most the time she wasn't worried because she was in a place she could get help should she need it, and she thought her best friend was much worse than she was. So, she was fine to hide her pain./p
p class="MsoNormal"***/p
p class="MsoNormal"Today JJ was officially stable enough to be moved from the ICU. Then if things continued to improve, she would be discharged within the next couple of weeks. Spencer was being discharged today which was another big step toward the whole team going home./p
p class="MsoNormal""Hey Pretty Boy." Morgan said as he walked into Spencer's room./p
p class="MsoNormal""Hey Morgan." Spencer smiled slightly. He loved to see his best friend. He was good at keeping him busy telling him stories and trying to get him interested in sports. It was never going to work because Spencer was not athletic and would never take interest in it. But while he was in hospital, he would take any distraction he could get./p
p class="MsoNormal""Your doctor said your officially discharged and I can take you back to the hotel. But I was thinking we could go to the hospital cafeteria and get lunch with Hotch and Pen then we can swing by JJ's new hospital room before we head back." He eyed Reid who seemed to look down at the mention of JJ. "What do you think kid. I think JJ would like to see you."/p
p class="MsoNormal"A rush of guilt spread over Reid. All he could think about was how lucky he was, and how unlucky JJ and Emily had been. They had drawn the short straw both have had to deal with horrific things while on this case and he got what a small beating and thrown in a corner and left alone. He felt awful that that's all he got. He didn't want to face them if he could avoid it. "I'm good thanks. I really just want to go back to the hotel. I'm tired. I might come see them tomorrow." He knew Emily would be right back here at JJ's side tomorrow. He wasn't actually sure Emily even left the hospital./p
p class="MsoNormal"Morgan raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. He knew he should probably just keep an eye on Spencer. If he still hadn't seen her by the end of the week then he'd say something, but he'd give him a couple of days to process his thoughts. He knew himself he needed a few days. "Alright then Kid. You got all your stuff?" He picked up a bag from the bed not seeing anymore./p
p class="MsoNormal""Yeah its just the one." Reid said. The two waved towards the staff as they left. They wouldn't be back on this floor. JJ was going to the women's unit, so this was one ward they didn't have to see again. They headed to the hotel where they would spend the day chilling out./p
p class="MsoNormal"***/p
p class="MsoNormal"JJ lay in be just waiting for a porter with a chair and oxygen. She was so tired. Apparently, pneumonia does that too you. But so, do nightmares. JJ had sent Emily to get some lunch and to get her some jelly. Something easy. She hadn't eaten much over the past few days except the jelly pots she wasn't really keen on food. Its how JJ knew she was feeling down, Emily had probably noticed too. Because normally she loved her food, but now she couldn't stand the thought of it./p
p class="MsoNormal""Hi Jennifer, you ready to be moved?" Jess one of JJ's favourite nurses was going to be coming with her when she moved. JJ had always noticed how this woman had always gone the extra step, even if JJ's eyes were only open for a second, she had seen her tuck her in. Help her to get comfortable, helped her with bed baths and kept males nurses and doctors far away from her room. She appreciated everything she did and was dreading the step-down ward in case there was no one like her down there./p
p class="MsoNormal""Almost, I need to check Emily hasn't forgotten anything but you wont let me out of bed." JJ sulked. She hadn't been out of the bed since she arrived here. Today would be her first time, but she would only be moving bed to chair to bed again./p
p class="MsoNormal"Jess chuckled. "I'll check she did everything. You know how tired you are now? You'll feel about 10 times worse and breathless if you get up. So, stay put missy." She checked through JJ's bags, checked her draws cupboard and had a quick peak in the bathroom. Once she checked everywhere, she looked at JJ who was starting to dose off again. "Jennifer, the porter is waiting outside, so don't go to sleep."/p
p class="MsoNormal"JJ jumped at the sound of Jess's voice she was at the stage just as you fall asleep, but the slightest noise or movement scared the shit out of you. "What about Emily, she said she'll be back in a minute." She cleared her throat hearing how raspy is sounded./p
p class="MsoNormal""Lets get you in our chair and hooked up to our portable oxygen and machines then we'll see where Emily is. Just let me grab some help." Jess popped her head out and in came Rossi./p
p class="MsoNormal""Hi Bella." JJ lay there with open arms. She had missed Rossi he was aways a father figure to her. She hadn't seen him much over the past few days, or weeks. She wasn't entirely sure, but a talk with her work 'dad' was sure to be a bit of a pick me up. Rossi gave JJ a gentle hug before stepping back./p
p class="MsoNormal""I hear we are going to a room downstairs getting you ready to spring from the joint soon." He smiled./p
p class="MsoNormal"JJ smiled, "Yeah hopefully sooner rather than later."/p
p class="MsoNormal""Agent do you fancy helping me then. It's gonna be slow but we'll get her in this chair."/p
p class="MsoNormal"Jess didn't lie. It was a slow process. She sat JJ up and then changed her over to the portable oxygen and a portable heart monitor. Her IV medication and fluids were moved to the pole on the chair. Not relying on leaning on the bed was harder than JJ thought. She hadn't done anything, not even sit up unsupported for a long while, so the slightest movements were exhausting her. Rossi had kept hold of her good arm, holding her up in place, while nurse Jess held her other arm. They slowly helped her stand, then slowly lower her into the wheel chair. JJ felt so out of breath afterwards./p
p class="MsoNormal""Well Bella you look amazing. It so good to see you awake and in a chair. You'll be out of here in no time." Rossi took hold of JJ's hand as Jess pushed her outside of her room, then went back to gather her things./p
p class="MsoNormal"Emily luckily had good time and turned up as they were outside the room. "Oh my god, JJ your up! You ready to go?"/p
p class="MsoNormal"JJ nodded. So, the porter, JJ, Rossi Emily and Jess all made their way down the lift and to JJ's new room. They got her settled and up packed her bags, and got ready for a busy week, of physiotherapy to get JJ used to walking, getting her off medication and oxygen, get her some type of appetite and get her started with a therapist. It was going to be a long week./p
