Lemonade Stand
A/N: What can I say? I was bored.
Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts
Kairi smiled as she dragged out a table for her lemonade stand. It was a hot day on the Destiny Islands, so she should earn tons of money today. She giggled as she brought out a pitcher of lemonade, some cups, a little jar for money, and a big sign that said, "Lemonade 25 cents a cup!" It had taken her more than a few trips, and now she was eager to be sitting on a chair in her front yard, facing the beach.
"Lemonade! Lemonade!" She waved her short arms around. She was only seven, after all.
A few onlookers walked by, took a glance, and then walked the other way. As Kairi saw the busy adults come and go, she slumped in her chair, disappointed.
She felt her frown turn upside down when she saw her two best friends, Riku and Sora, running around alongside the beach.
Sora turned to look at Kairi's sign as Riku ran past him. "Ha, Sora, you lost again!"
"No fair! I was looking at Kairi's sign!"
"So?" He put his hands on his hips.
"Do you think it was fair, Kairi?" Sora turned to look at the little redhead.
She shrugged, not really caring. All she really wanted was for someone to buy her lemonade.
Sora put down a quarter on the table. "Could I have a cup, please?" he grinned, aware that he read her mind.
Kairi perked up. "Okay!" She poured him a cup, and watched him drink it. Her happy expression soon changed when she saw the sour look on his face. He looked ready to spit it out, but then swallowed, and smiled at her. "Thanks, Kai. B-but that's not what I really wanted..."
Kairi's eyes widened. Was there something wrong with her lemonade? Before she had time to contemplate the problem, she felt something on her lips.
It was Sora. He was kissing her. She immediately blushed, and wanted to pull away before Riku would start to laugh.
He did pull away, just as fast as he had kissed her. He was blushing just as red, if not redder, than her. He then grinned, and said, "Thanks, Kairi..." She touched her lips as he and Riku walked away. Was she in a dream? No, she wasn't...
And by the end of the day, she was perfectly happy with the one quarter and one kiss that she had received.
