Chapter 7: Surprise Attack

"I can't say this plainer. Eagle Fang and Miyagi-do have to work together." Sam says.

"Even if we wanted to team up, it'd never work. I was in Cobra Kai. Their style mixes with ours like…" Chris says

"Oil and vinegar?" Nate suggests

"No, not salad dressing. I would say like the British Bulldogs and the Hart Foundation." Chris says.

"They were friends, dipshit." Mitch says. I learned his name.

"Not at WrestleMania 3, Penis Breath." Chris says.

"OK, you can't call me Penis Breath. Only they can." Mitch says.

"Why are you Okay with anyone calling you Penis Breath?" Chris says.

"You know what? Screw this. Come on, let's go." Mitch says. He and Bert stand up to leave.

"Hey, pussies!" Demetri shouts. This makes Mitch and Bert freeze.

"This is what those assholes at Cobra Kai want. Since you were one of 'em, you're an asshole. So are you." Demetri says while pointing at Chris.

"I ain't no asshole." I hear Chris mutter.

"So was I. Well, at least I wanted to be one. But now Cobra Kai is the worst

collection of assholes in the Valley, run by the king of all assholes. So if by merging with Eagle Fang…Weird name, by the way…can keep us all from getting shit on anymore, then we'd all be assholes not to do it. I'm sorry for all the "assholes." I usually take pride in my grandiloquence, but…it's an emotional time." Demetri says. Mitch and Bert sit back down at the couch. I can't believe that worked.

"Now… where do we start?" Demetri asks.

Later...

"We're all in agreement that our new combined dojo should train at Miyagi-Do. But deadlocked on a new name, Gi Design, Post-Training Snacks, and Sensei Dispute Resolution Protocol. Okay, not good, but still, it's a start." Demetri says. That's when we all hear a cat meow.

"Aw, I think your cat wants to come in. Here, kitty, kitty." Bert says. He opens the door and leaves the house.

"I didn't know you had a cat." Miguel says.

"We don't." Sam points out. Oh shit. Before we can do anything Bert gets tossed through the window. We all rush over to him.

"Bert, what happened?" Miguel shouts.

"No cat." Is all Bert says. After he says that my worst nightmare comes true. I see Hawk, followed by Kyler and Steve, enter the house. A few other Cobra Kai members enter also.

"It's payback time, Rhea." Kyler says. Oh crap. Didn't Miguel say he beat Kyler once? Miguel and Nate help Bert up and we all step back.

"Let's go." Kyler says while making a gesture for Miguel to attack him. Suddenly the back door also burst open. We turn around and see Tory followed by two more Cobra Kai members.

"Heard you were throwing a party. Hope you don't mind if we crash." Tory says.

"Tory, you don't have to do this." Miguel says.

"It's too late. "This ends tonight!" Tory says. I can see the terrified look in Sam's eyes.

"No mercy!" Tory shouts. We all get into fighting stances and the fight begins. Some random Cobra Kai member begins to attack me. I can do this. When he goes to punch me, I grab his arm and then punch him in the face with my open arm. He quickly wiggles his arm from my grasp and kicks me in the stomach. I stumble but quickly regain my balance. When he aims a kick for my face, I put up my arm and push his leg back down. That's when I see an opening. I kick him in the stomach as hard as I can. He falls down in pain. I turn around and see Kyler beating the shit out of Miguel. However, before I can go over and help, the Cobra Kai member has gotten up and kicked me in the back, causing me to fall onto my face. He gets on top of me and punches me in the face. I put my arms in front of my face to prevent him from doing that again. I roll over causing me to be the one on top of him. I punch him in the face and then get up to kick him. After that's done, I leave him on the ground. I look up to see a terrified Sam and Tory walking over to her. I continue to look around and see Miguel getting his ass kicked by Kyler, Bert and Nate being beaten, and Hawk absolutely destroying his opponent. The flashbacks start to come back and I realize that I need to get some air. I leave through a door and make it to the pool area. I stop to catch my breath and think everything will be alright. That's when I feel another kick to my back and I fall to the ground.

"It's just you and me, pussy. No way out this time." Steve shouts. I get up and glare at Steve. He glares back but still has a slight smirk on his face.

"Let's do this." Steve says. Before I can do anything, Steve spins around and lands a flying kick to my face. I fall down but quickly get back up. I attempt to kick Steve but he just steps to the side and runs up to me. He punches me in the stomach and then in the face. I stumble back but don't fall over. I attempt a punch but he ducks under it and gets behind me. He once again kicks me in the back sending me to the ground. He quickly moves me so I'm facing up. He then begins landing punch after punch on my face.

"I knew you couldn't do it." Steve taunts. He punches.

"You never could." He says. He punches.

"You're nothing and you always will be!" He shouts. He punches me. After that he stops. There's blood coming out of my nose and my face is busted up. Steve gets up.

"What are you going to do now, pussy?" Steve shouts. I'm done. I just can't do it. He's too strong. That's when I remember Mr. LaRusso's words.

"Just remember this. Cobra Kai will try to overwhelm you. Just breathe and stay focused. Analyze the situation and try to find a weak point." That's when it hits me. I'm always trying to attack Steve's body. What if I go for his legs? That gives me the strength to get up.

"This is far from over!" I shout. This makes Steve aim a kick at my head. I remember what Mr. LaRusso taught me and I grab his leg mid kick. Steve is stunned when I then kick his other leg out from under him. He collapses to the ground but quickly gets up.

"Alright. You're dead." He says. He aims a punch towards me and I remember the drum technique. I use it to block that punch and another one he does shortly after. After that second punch, I realize that he's stunned and his face is completely exposed. I aim a kick and hit him straight in the face. I did it! I didn't lose my balance! He stumbles back and it's now time to deliver my final move. I remember back when Demetri taught me how to sweep someone's legs. I do the move and completely take Steve off his feet. He falls straight into the pool.

"You asshole! This isn't over!" Steve shouts.

"I know, but I'll be prepared for next time." I say. I slowly get back inside. As I enter, I see Miguel, Demetri, Sam, and Hawk standing together. Wait...Hawk?! Demetri spots me and quickly explains the situation.

"Don't worry, he's with us now." He says. Wow. When did that happen?

"Well, it looks like we both took quite a beating." Miguel says. I can tell he's trying to lighten the mood but he sounds so defeated.

"Did you kick Kyler's ass?" I ask.

"Yeah, what about you?" Miguel asks.

"I beat Steve. Sent him flying into the pool." I say.

"Awesome." Miguel says. I look around the house. We made a mess.

Later…

I'm standing in Miyagi-do with the rest of my teammates and Mr. LaRusso. That is, until Miguel, Hawk, Bert, and Mitch enter to join us. Looks like this combined dojo may work after all. Finally, Eagle Fang's sensei enters. I have yet to learn his name but I will in due time. The two senseis bow to us and we bow back. Then they bow to each other.

"Ready?"

"Let's begin!"

Author's Note: And that's it for season 3! I hope you guys have enjoyed so far. I will continue this story when Season 4 comes out. In the meantime, I have an idea for a darker Cobra Kai story...
