Russia Sushi

It's a relatively warm afternoon in Ikebukuro. Mairu opened the sliding wooden-doors of Russia Sushi with Simon serving other customers, looking over to see Kuon Kotonami and Aoba Kuronuma sitting down in a booth waiting an hour for her. And Mairu walked over to talk to the both of them. The look of Aoba's is only pure happiness, same for Kuon as they both got up from the private-booth to hug Mairu with a smile on their faces.

"Aoba…Kuon, it's like I haven't seen you two in years" Mairu Greeted.

All did a three way hug with each other then Mairu sat down with them both right next to Kuon across from Aoba, Kuon after hugging his girlfriend; Mairu, he began to feel more confident before she arrived, while Aoba at the same time was indifferent but happy to see Mairu and one of his friends; Kuon.

After they were done greeting one another again, following not seeing the other for months on end in the city.

Aoba looked and asked Mairu something about Izaya.

"Me and Kuon wanted to ask you something about your brother…Izaya," Aoba asked.

Mairu gave a happy reluctant smile when Aoba asked about her brother.

"Well sure I'm all ears, Aoba and Kuon" Mairu replied.

Aoba from where he was sitting cautiously surveyed all over Russia Sushi to see anyone watching or hearing their conversation, what he was going to ask of Mairu. After Aoba is done then asks the request in question.

"Mairu, I know your brother probably had some valuable items hidden away in his main apartment/office building in Shinjuku," Aoba asked Mairu about her brother. "Becomes we're asking you to come along to discovery a few valuable items that we can sell with Blue Squares so we can help other people and ourselves"

Her smile instantly vanished at Aoba's question about her brother and replied:

"Izaya and I had a little bit of a volatile but stable relationship even after his supposed death by Shizuo and Vorona woman from Russia, I don't think I'll be very much help to begin," Mairu exclaimed.

Mairu, Kuon, and Aoba all look over to the left side and the back of the restaurant to see if Simon and Denis are hearing their conversation just in case.

"Come on, where helping people and getting little in return" Said Kuon

Kuon grabbed his smartphone from his pocket to show pictures of poorer Blue Squares members like Himself, Neko and all the others in the Color Gang and last photo is of Nozomi Kotonami, Kuon's older sister having to sleep on the floor with a blanket of their rundown apartment-complex.

Mairu sat right next to Kuon, then grabbed Kuon's hand as her expression turned from indifference to feeling horrible for the lives of Kuon and his sister. feeling bad, she thinks over and now wants to help Aoba and Kuon plus helping out all the people they knew.

"Ugh…fine as long, it's only for this" Mairu responded and got up from the private-booth.

Kuon and Aoba arose from where they were setting after her.

"Alright, let's all meet up in Shinjuku with a game plan together in 4 months to prepare" Aoba exclaimed.

Mairu and Kuon; both began to hold hands together lovingly as they nodded in agreement with Aoba about their next move.

"Agreed," Said Mairu and Kuon.

Mairu then stopped holding on to Kuon's hand and walked to the front entrance of Russia Sushi, opening the left wooden-door of the establishment.

"Wait Mai, where are you going?" Kuon asked.

Mairu waved her boyfriend farewell; as she ran out of Russia Sushi.

"I'll see you tomorrow at Shinjuku. Kuon, I need to check up on Kururi first at her work!" Mairu shouted from a distance outside the sushi place.

Ikeburkuro

Four Months Later

-There is no one in the chat room-

-Mai has entered the chat room-

Mai: Anyone here?

Mai: Setton? Saika? TarouTanaka?

Mai: I wanted to hear some rumors coming from the city that anyone has.

-TarouTanka has entered the chat room-

Tanaka: Oh morning Mai, long time no see.

Mai: Yeah, this chat room has been kinda dead lately since you became admin.

Mai: Oh, worth a try I guess.

Tanaka: I have to leave because I'm at work.

-TarouTanaka has left the chat room-

Mai: Yeah me too, I have to meet up with my boyfriend and a friend.

-Mai has left the chat room-

-There is no one in the chat room-

Mairu stares blankly at the screen of her smartphone, while she is holding it, then puts it back in the pocket of her hoodie. "Oh, Goddamn it." when realizing she was a few minutes late for the train: shinkansen to Shinjuku. She signed, she then figured out. "I've only 20 minutes to arrive at Ikebukuro Station which is a street away from at…" Mairu ran as fast as she could to Ikebukuro Station, directly to the Yamanote line.

She sprinted across the City to Ikebukuro Station, Mairu began to be lost in thought, wondering about Izaya, Kuon, and Aoba planned to get from the place and what her brother hid inside of his apartment/office to warrant this endeavor.

Using her intuition and following the crowd that's in the direction of the Ikebukuro train station. She is getting tired, out of nowhere quickly bumps into an intimidating-looking man that's wearing a loosened-flashy black suit with a green undershirt and tinted dark green sunglasses, both she and the mysterious man fell opposite of each other on the sidewalk.

"Damn, that hurts like hell." Said Mairu.

Mairu then picked herself back up and scratched the top of her head, okay but still even more late for the Train to Shinjuku, realizing she's on borrowed time from meeting with Aoba and Kuon.

"I'm sorry sir, are you okay?" Mairu apologizes and bows.

The mysterious black suited man stood up from the sidewalk. He is angry at Mairu for wasting his valuable time and begins berating for her clumsiness.

"No I'm not okay, you in the new generation have it so easy nowadays especially here in Ikebukuro!" The mysterious man shouted.

Mairu, while being yelled at by the man, notices on the chest of his suit there is a medium size Blue Shark wearing a yellow scarf symbol on it.

"Huh?" Mairu wondered.

The man snapped his fingers in front of her face.

"Hello, are you listening?" Said the mysterious man.

Then Mairu realized she had to go and ran off passing right next to the guy.

"I'm sorry I have to go, apologies sir!" Mairu apologized as she ran off in the distance.

The man with slicked back blonde hair, putting his hand out and wanting to continue reprimanding her as Mairu, is running for miles away from him.

The man facepalmed to himself for a second and continued his walk to where he was going.

"Damn, brats never learn," Said the mysterious man.

He began to sadistically smile and replied to himself.

"Soon, the people who wronged me will get my rage filled with wrath against this entire City and that was one of the people, at least their relative…" Said Horada.

Shinjuku

Mairu outside of Shinjuku Station, she has just arrived in Shinjuku City after exiting the bullet-train from Ikebukuro.

"Huh, I see this place hasn't really changed that much since I was last here as a kid," Mairu said to herself.

She is happy being in Shinjuku again, despite her sister and Izaya originally being from here, Mairu still has fond memories of the place including Izaya in these thoughts together as a family with her father and mother.

After a little reminiscing about herself, Izaya, and Kururi, Mairu's smartphone rang from her hoodie pocket and saw that Aoba was calling and she answered it immediately.

"Mai, where are you right now?"

"Me and Kuon have been waiting in front of Izaya's apartment-office for hours now,"

After Aoba said at the other end of the phone.

"I bumped into a weird-looking guy on the street with shar-" Mairu replied, stopping herself from saying the rest of her sentence to keep it a secret.

"What's wrong?" Said Aoba over the phone worried about Mairu.

Mairu began to sigh a little at Aoba's reaction and replied over the phone:

"It's nothing, where are you?"

"Are you near me?" Mairu asked.

Aoba and Kuon are walking distance away from Izaya's apartment/office, Mairu after arrived in Shinjuku.

She can see them both clearly from a distance.

Mairu ran directly to them both, mostly to Kuon, arm's length away from Kuon, Mairu ran to them where derelict Izaya's abandoned apartment is found, she in a completely loving embrace Kuon; kissing him and gave a small kiss on the cheek for Aoba.

"Now with the introductions out of the way"

"What now, we're doing this in broad daylight then?" Mairu sarcastically said.

Aoba and Kuon nodded in agreement at the time.

"All right let's get this over with…" Said Mairu.

All three were standing in the front entrance doors of the apartment/office building, Aoba did the honors by opening the two doors.

"Alright…let's go come on!" Aoba cheered.

As the trio walked in to find the building completely abandoned from top to bottom. They walk around when Mairu and Kuon spot an extremely rusted but functioning elevator directly to the penthouse from behind some wood-planks and square ceiling panels; the three enter the elevator to the apartment-office/penthouse top floor. When they arrive and walk through the penthouse door, they are shocked about how really run down the apartment/office building is, especially for Shinjuku.

The trio looked at each other and silently agreed for Mairu; to search through the halfway in between floor to look in the organized shelf, Kuon to look around the floor for any personal items, and Aoba to look through the still working computer and laptop.

Mairu is clearing out around and looking inside the shelf with information on individuals inside are located on the half-mezzanine floor where Mairu is rummaging around.

"Huh…weird" Mairu notices something very well hidden in the bookcase.

Aoba from the ground floor of the office-penthouse notices her discovery.

"Mai, did you find something!" Aoba yelled.

Mairu looked down at Aoba from the second floor and looked back at the thing she found, it looked like it was a black small data storage-USB flash drive with a sticky note on it saying: "individual special information" on it. She grabbed the USB drive and put it in the pocket of her hoodie.

She quickly thought up excuses in her head to lie to Kuon and Aoba.

"Nothing!"

"Just some more dust and useless documents in the bookcase up here!" Said Mairu.

Mairu walked down the staircase leading down to the ground floor of the apartment to meet back up with Aoba and Kuon in the center of the apartment/office.

"Did you two find anything as well?" Mairu asked.

Both answered no, they didn't find anything else in, the trio all then decided to leave before the cops find them poking around some more.

All three ran out as quickly as possible throughout the apartment/office, they retraced their steps back to rusted elevator and sprint it out then stopping in front of the apartment/office building entrance again.

"Alrighty, now with this adventure over let's all go home and talk about it tomorrow together…" Mairu exclaimed.

Aoba and Kuon tried to respond by nodding in agreement.

"Wait, about Kururi?"

"Isn't she worried sick about you being gone this long?" Kuon asked.

Mairu nodded her head side to side in disagreement.

"Nah, she's probably fine and already back at our apartment from her job from a photoshoot for the Tokyo Disaster"

"Anyways…she probably can-" Mairu was too tired to finish her sentence.

Mairu and the other two go their separate ways for now, and head back to see their loved ones in Ikebukuro by walking and using the bullet train and they all three replied to each other:

"Bye see, you two tomorrow…"

"See you tomorrow Mairu!"

"See you guys later!"

All three waved goodbye as Mairu began to run home to the train station of Shinjuku and back to Ikebukuro.

Orihara Twins Apartment

Minutes later

As Mairu is now back in Ikebukuro, near her and Kururi's home that they share together.

"Hey, Kururi I'm home!" Said Mairu.

Mairu, opened the entrance to her apartment runs over to her sister's bleeding body on the wooden-floor of their apartment, Kururi completely bleeding on the floor, half-conscience and all bloodied in the face with stream of blood coming down her mouth, bruised from being beat up and Kururi's left arm and right leg being bent, clearly on the brink of death.

Mairu holds Kururi in her arms, shaking Kururi trying to make her wake up.

Kururi opening her eyes about to pass out again and replied:

"Mairu…Sister," Kururi before passing out completely from the shock and trauma of her severe injuries.

Mairu with tears coming down both of her eyes is in shock and panicking.

"No…Kururi," Mairu exclaimed.

Mairu, while in panic and instinct wanting to save Kururi, her only family in Ikebukuro, and Mairu carries Kururi outside of the their apartment, she pulls out her phone from the hoodie pocket to call the ambulance-services to take Kururi to Raira General hospital.
