Chapter 34: One Arm
James's POV:
After leaving the bathroom, I walk over to where Chase and Emma are sitting.
"Dude, are you okay?" I ask.
"Not really, I thought I was going to drown." Chase says.
"What did Cobra Kai do to you?" I ask.
"First, Kyler tripped me after Emma and I got snacks from the concession stand. Once Emma left, they ambushed me and poured trash on me. After that is when they threw me into the pool." Chase says
"Those bastards will get what's coming to them." I say.
"For now, let's just sit down and try not to think about all that stuff." Emma says. For the next few minutes, we spend our time talking and trying to lift Chase's spirit. Eventually, I see Eli approaching me.
"Hey, what's up?" I ask.
"We're getting kicked out of the water park." He says.
"What? Why?" I ask.
"I got into a fight." Eli says.
"Who started it?" I ask.
"That small Cobra Kai kid. He thinks he's hot shit or something." Eli says. I scowl. Of course Kenny was behind it.
"I've about had it with Cobra Kai. I say it's time for some payback." I say.
"What are you gonna do?" Eli asks.
"Something I should've done a long time ago." I say before walking away.
"Do you need me to come with you?" Eli asks.
"No. This is something I gotta do on my own." I say. Eli nods and I continue to walk towards the exit. I leave the water park and enter the parking lot.
Third Person POV:
"Are you gonna tell us who attacked you or what?" Kyler asks.
"It doesn't matter." Brian says.
"Hey, we're on the same team. We look out for each other." Kyler says. Brian considers this for a moment before speaking.
"I think his name was James." Brian says.
"That pussy did this to you? Don't worry, we won't let him get away with this." Kyler says.
"That man is dangerous. He assaulted us at school while we were just minding our own business." One of the basketball teammates says while pointing at his fellow teammates.
"So, he's a bully?" Brian asks.
"Yeah. He kept messing with this kid named Steve. However, when Steve actually stood up for himself, he got arrested. But James gets to walk free." Kyler says.
"That's messed up." Brian says.
"James even threatened us in our own dojo." Kyler says. That's when Brian notices James walking straight towards them.
"Uh, guys." Brian says.
James's POV:
"Hey!" I shout as I march over to the Cobras.
"What do you want, pussy?" Kyler asks.
"I'm here to teach you a lesson. You're not gonna bully us anymore." I say.
"We're the bullies? You're the one who assaulted our boy Brian." Kyler says.
"He deserved it." I say.
"You're really gonna fight us with a broken arm?" Kyler asks.
"Yeah, I will. I bet I can kick all five of your asses with just one arm." I say.
"I'd like to see you try, pussy." Kyler says before pushing me. I step back a bit and look down at the ground.
"Okay." I say while looking up. I quickly punch Kyler in the throat. He begins gasping for air, just like I did at the tournament. I take the opportunity to sweep his legs, making him collapse to the ground. The basketball teammates and Brian look at me with fear.
"Oh, I can't wait to kick all your asses again." I say. The first basketball teammate runs at me and I block his punch with my one good arm. I then roundhouse kick him in the face. This causes him to stumble back and I take the chance to kick him in the chest. He flies backwards and slams into a car. I run up to him and uppercut him. I then punch him several time in the face and chest.
"Please stop!" He begs. I don't listen. I grab his head and bash it into the back of the car. However, I'm still not satisfied. I slam his head two more times until he gets a bloody nose and then I throw him to the ground. The other two teammates look between themselves and me in fear.
"Oh what's the matter? You're scared? Come on, don't be a pussy. Attack me!" I scream. The second basketball teammate runs up to me and tries to kick me. I block it and then knee him in the crouch. While he's in pain, I notice the third teammate running up to me. I kick him in the chest and then turn back to the second teammate. He tries to punch me and I grab his arm. I throw him to the ground and begin stomping on him. I stomp on his face several times until he begins to seriously bleed. I stop and he begins to cry. His face is completely bruised and bloody. Suddenly, the third teammate puts me in a head lock. I bite his arm and he screams in pain. I then headbutt him with the back off my head, causing him to let go. I turn around and deliver a spinning back kick into his chest, causing him to fall over. That's when I notice a rock on the ground. I pick it up and walk over to the third teammate.
"Wait! Don't!" He begs. I ignore his plea and smash the rock over his face, causing a gash to form on his forehead. I turn around and notice Kyler has gotten off the ground. I run over to him and use my leg to hit the pressure point in his left leg. His leg goes limp and he looks terrified. That's when I jump in the air and deliver the flying tornado kick right into his face, knocking him out. I then turn to Brian.
"Please! I surrender! Don't hurt me!" Brian shouts. I quickly run up to him and kick him in the face, knocking him to the ground. I get on top of him and put him in an arm lock.
"Tell me where Kenny is or I'll break your arm!" I shout.
"Please don't! I have no idea where he went, he left on his own!" Brian shouts.
"Liar!" I shout. However, before I can break his arm, someone kicks me in the back, making me fall over. I turn around and see that it's Robby.
"What the hell did you do?" Robby asks while looking at the carnage around me.
"Doing what nobody else is willing to do. Taking care of Cobra Kai." I say. Brian takes the opportunity to run away.
"This isn't the right way to do things." Robby says.
"You used to be in Miyagi-Do, right?" I ask, completely changing the subject.
"Yeah, what does that have to do with anything?" Robby asks.
"During the tournament, Steve was using Miyagi-Do. Did you teach him that?" I ask.
"Yeah, I did. I'm not proud of it, but I did." Robby says. I glare at Robby.
"So you're telling me that you taught Steve, the kid who's been bullying me and trying to ruin my life, the secrets of Miyagi-Do." I say.
"I'm truly sorry." Robby says.
"Oh, you will be." I say before trying to kick Robby. He easily blocks it.
"I don't want to hurt you. We're on the same side now!" Robby shouts.
"I don't give a shit!" I shout before trying to punch Robby. He easily blocks every punch.
"If you keep attacking me, I'll have to hurt you." Robby says. I don't listen and keep trying to attack Robby. Eventually, one of my punches manages to connect to his face.
"I'm sorry about this." Robby says.
"Oh, what are you gonna do?" I ask. Robby delivers a front kick directly into my broken arm. I scream in pain and collapse to my knees while clutching my arm. Robby then knees me in the face, making me fall to the ground. Blood begins to pour out of my nose.
"You see what you made me do?" Robby says.
"Screw you. You'll never be accepted in Miyagi-Do again." I say before getting up and walking away.
Third Person POV:
Brian enters his house and tries to sneak upstairs.
"Brian? What happened to you? How did you get those bruises?" Detective Alfonso asks.
"It's nothing dad, I'm fine." Brian says.
"Come on, tell me what happened." Detective Alfonso says.
"Just some kid attacked me and my friends at the water park." Brian says.
"Just tell me who and I'll have them arrested in a heartbeat." Detective Alfonso says.
"You don't have to do that. I can handle myself." Brian says.
"Please, you need to tell me who did this." Detective Alfonso says.
"I think I just want to be alone right now." Brian says.
"Okay, but we'll talk later tonight." Detective Alfonso says. Brian nods and walks up to his room. Detective Alfonso returns to his office and continues to look through his files. He couldn't find anything that connected Steve to the death of James's brother. Maybe the only way to get information was to interrogate Steve himself.
Author's Note: I bet none of you saw that coming. With Brian being Detective Alfonso's son, James might find himself in some trouble real soon. I hope you guys enjoyed the James V.S. Cobra Kai fight. James finally got his turn to kick Kyler's ass. Expect Season 5 of James's Story to have a lot more fight scenes. How will the rest of Miyagi-Fang react to what James did? How will Kenny and the rest of the Cobras react? More importantly, how will Terry Silver react? The next chapter will have another fight scene and will reveal the full truth behind the death of James's brother. Be prepared.
