Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 5 of Someone Like You. Thank you to those who have left reviews for this story. It does mean a lot to me that you guys are enjoying the story. Hopefully, I'm doing a better job than what I had done the first two times around. I'm trying to make sure that each chapter I write is long and not too choppy. Hopefully, I'll have a much better time this time around. Adding extra scenes in to make it much longer and hopefully much more enjoyable to read. Hopefully, this chapter will be long enough to enjoy and hopefully will be more detailed with added sections in the scene that I chose to write for this chapter. Rose is going to be well on her way with Jack and Will. I hope that I'm still able to please you guys with what I write. Without further ado Chapter 5. Enjoy!
Chapter 5
Jack and Will peeked out from beneath the bridge, near where dozens of fishing boats rest upside down on the beach. Beyond the busy docks, in the harbor, the Dauntless looms in the distance far from their reach.
Rose snuck up behind the two men who were busy looking at the ship. "Looking at a ship to take?" She questioned, causing both men to turn sharply to look at her.
Will blinked a few times in confusion wondering why she was there. She was still dressed in a fine gown that she wore that morning, but around her waist was a belt hanging off the belt, none other than a sword and scabbard. "Miss Swann…"
Rose's lips quirked into a smile.
"You… you have a sword…"
"One of my father's swords, yes." She mused softly as she moved closer to them to see what ships they were looking at. She wondered how they would even get that close to the ship when they were just three lousy people and two of them had no sailing knowledge, but Jack did. But it made her question Jack on his sailing skills.
"We're going to steal a ship?" Will questioned looking at the Dauntless. "That ship?"
Rose took a soft breath shaking her head. She had no idea of how they were going to be able to get aboard the Dauntless and be able to sail out with only the three of them working together. The Dauntless had the powers in the water, but didn't they need a faster ship to go after the Pearl and save her sister? The Dauntless wouldn't be the best ship when the Interceptor would be the fastest ship and would catch up to them in a matter of time.
"Commandeer. We're going to commandeer that ship." He pointed at the Interceptor. "Nautical term.." Jack turned, giving both of them a critical look. "One question about your business, boy, or there's no use going. This girl? How far are you willing to go to save her?"
Rose slowly turned her head wondering what Will would say. She knew that he wanted to save her, but how far was he willing to go to rescue her? But she was thankful that Jack was thinking ahead with which ship they were taking. They were taking the speed in the water meaning that James and the others of the navy wouldn't be able to catch up to them as easily.
"I'd die for her," Will stated as he looked at Jack.
Rose's eyes went wide knowing now that Will had a deep love for Elizabeth and her in return. She took a soft breath, closing her eyes. She wished that she had something like that the two of them had, but James was too far into thinking of Elizabeth instead of her. Perhaps, she had to make a hard choice and bury her feelings altogether to try and get through life.
"Oh, good. No worries, then." Jack then looked at Rose. "And what about you, bonnie lass?"Jack questioned his brow, raising slightly.
"I'd die trying to save her. She's my sister after all." Rose stated as she looked up at Jack, her eyes slightly narrowed due to not wanting to trust this pirate. But so far he seemed to be the person that was the most willing to help and get the job done, than what James was and that made her heart hurt.
Jack's brow raised as he looked at her. He hadn't expected her to willingly say that she would die for her sister.
"It's the right thing to do." She said softly as she looked out at the sea with her brows pinched together in worry. "I'm not about to have my father lose another family member."
Jack's brows furrowed, as he eyed her, taking in her beauty. He kept silent knowing that prim and proper ladies wouldn't want to hear what he thought. Perhaps she had something deep down inside of her that was different than the other ladies that he had met. Perhaps she was a pirate deep down inside.
"How exactly are we going to get onboard?" Rose questioned turning her attention to Jack.

A group of soldiers marched by the crates, boardwalks, and the boats upside down on the shore. Once they passed one of the upside-down boats raised revealing 3 sets of legs. The boat walked down to the water's edge and into the water.
Rose, Jack, and Will walked beneath the upside-down rowboat with a nice pocket of air for them to breathe. They had water up to their waists as they walked.
Rose took a breath as her dress heavily weighed her down as she walked. She tried her best to not reach down and try to get her dress from sticking to her legs. She knew that they needed to keep the boat above their heads to keep the oxygen around them as they walked on the sandy ground.
"This is either madness or brilliance," Will said as they carefully walked across the sea floor. He tried his best to avoid anything that was on the floor below. The last thing that they needed was to be spotted.
"It's remarkable how often those two traits coincide," Jack said with a roll of his eyes. He couldn't understand why Will was ripping on the plan that he had come up with to make sure that they weren't spotted getting onto the ship.
"Will at least he came up with a plan," Rose said as she looked over at the man that she was behind.
Jack looked back and saw the scowl on Rose's face. He could tell that this beauty was rather upset with Will or someone else. "I like her." Jack pointed out with a cheeky grin.
Rose's brow raised as she watched Will trying to shake something loose from his leg. "Will what… don't tell me. Your leg is in a trap."
Will shook his leg a vicious shake, failing to free the trap from his leg. "I won't tell you then." He said as he continued to try to get the trap free from his leg, but still couldn't. He let out a frustrated breath knowing that this was one thing that could get them caught by the royal navy.
"We have to keep going," Rose said as they continued to walk across the ocean floor. "We will get that trap off your leg shortly." She just hoped that this plan would work out just since they didn't have much of a choice at the moment. She hoped that no one would see them getting onto the ship and take it over. Her heart rammed in her chest in worry. She was afraid of what James would think of her acting this way? But she knew that she needed to do something to save her sister. She could only hope that they weren't too late to save Elizabeth from the fate that she had put herself in.

This is the end of Chapter 5. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I tried my best. I'm still working on editing this story and making it the best that I can make it. I also tried my best to add new scenes into this chapter to make it longer but also to add a bit more to the story than I had before. Hopefully, I did some justice with writing it. I tried my best with editing this chapter and sometimes I still miss things. Let me know if there are any errors and I'll fix them as quickly as I can. Please leave a review and let me know what you think. I'll try to update as soon as I can. Until next time.
