Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 6 of Someone Like You. Thank you to those who have kept up with this story and have reviewed it. It does mean a lot to me that you guys are enjoying it. I hope that I'm able to continue writing this as well as I can. I'm trying to make sure that my writing becomes better as I write this story. Hopefully, I don't end up failing with this next chapter. I hope that you guys will enjoy this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing this out and fixing it. Without further ado Chapter 6. Enjoy!

Chapter 6

Gillette supervised the sailors as they swabbed the deck and mended the sails along with doing what they were supposed to do.

Jack, Will, and Rose jumped over the rail. Jack brandished a pistol and Will with his sword. Rose pulled her sword from its scabbard pointing it at the crew.

"Everybody stay calm. We're taking over the ship!" Jack called out looking at them.

"Aye! Avast!" Will shouted.

Rose let out a breath as she shook her head lightly.

Jack looked at Will in disbelief unsure of why Will thought it would be a good idea to sound like a pirate at that very moment.

The sailors looked at them and burst out laughing.

Gillette stepped forward looking at them. "This ship cannot be crewed by two men. You'll never make it out of the bay." Gillette said, looking at Rose wondering why she would even join in. He knew that she was worried about her sister, but what concerned him was if his higher-up who cared for her found out.

"Son," Jack pointed his pistol at Gillette's nose. "I'm Captain Jack Sparrow." He cocked the gun. "Savvy?"

Rose swallowed the lump in her throat hoping that they weren't going to have to kill anyone that she knew. She knew that she was going against every single code that she had. But to save her sister, she was willing enough to do it and if it meant that she hurt James and her father she would be regretful, but she would be regretful if she didn't save her sister and bring her back home. Her heart rammed in her chest in hopes that Gillette would just do as they asked and left the ship to them. But hoping wasn't going to do much for them.

Jack leaned on the wheel relaxed looking over at Rose admiring what she now wore. Instead of a soaked dress that was much too heavy and sailor clothing that didn't fit her all that well, he deemed it more suitable than the wet gown.

Will looked back concerned. "Here they come."

Jack smiled knowing that everything was coming into place turning his attention to what was going on.

Rose fidgeted and watched as the Interceptor gained quickly on them. Her hands clenched at her sides in worry.

Once the Interceptor was on them they quickly moved into action to get on board the interceptor as Norrington and his men got onto the Dauntless.

"Search every cabin, every hold, down to the bilges!" Norrington shouted as he came across the gangplank.

Jack, Will, and Rose swung onto the Interceptor easily and unseen. They cut the ropes to the grappling hooks that bound the two ships together and the ship starts to drift apart from one another.

"Sailors! Back to the Interceptor! Now!" James ordered his crew knowing that something was very wrong.

Rose watched as one brave sailor tried to swing across but ended up in the water with a big splash. She let out a breath before shaking her head lightly knowing that the sailor shouldn't have even tried what he did. Her brows furrowed together wondering if James would be upset with her for going with a pirate and a disgruntled blacksmith. Perhaps this was the wrong choice for her to do, but it was the only thing that she could do. She needed to save her little sister.

Jack waved to Norrington. "Thank you, Commodore, for getting us ready to make way! We'd 've had a hard time of it by ourselves!" Jack said with a cheeky smile as he looked at James knowing that this probably upset him.

"Set-top sails and clear up this mess."

"With the wind a quarter astern we won't catch them - -" Gillette said looking at his boss knowing that it probably wasn't a good idea to even do that.

"I don't need to catch them, just get them in range of the long nines."

"Hands, come about. Run out the guns! We're to fire on our ship, sir?"

"I'd rather see her at the bottom of the ocean than in the hands of a pirate." His eyes went to Rose, surprised that she was on board with a pirate and Will taking the ship that was the speed in the waters. "ROSE!" His eyes were wide and his face paled.

Rose looked down her heart pounding in her chest as she moved back away from the edge of the ship as they were well on their way leaving him behind. She looked away gripping her hands tightly at her sides trying her best to not jump overboard and trying to swim over to the Dauntless.

Will looked over at Rose and came over to her putting his hand on her shoulder. "Rose?"

Rose looked over at Will. "Mr. Turner…" Her voice came out very softly.

"You care about him, do you not…" Will questioned softly looking at her once again knowing that it was very much true that she cared about James.

"Perhaps more than my sister ever could…" She said softly. "But he fancied my sister more than he ever could me…" She shook her head lightly. "It's all for naught. If he hates me after this well… then I cannot do anything about it. I'm doing what I know is right, which is bringing her back home." She took a soft breath. "Even though he had admitted something to me last night, I think it was a heat of the moment type of thing."

Will shook his head. "He's blinded by Elizabeth's beauty…"

"Most gentlemen are…" She said, shaking her head again as she wrapped her arms around herself looking out to the open ocean. She closed her eyes slowly gripping her body in her wrapped arms.

"Miss Swann, you have suitors as well…" Will said softly knowing that she had a proposal and she didn't accept it. He didn't know much of anything that had happened for her to not accept the proposal, but he knew that she upset her father by denying the proposal.

Rose shook her head as she moved away. "We have work to do, to save my sister from a worse fate than death… whatever those pirates want with her… I want to get even with them…" She wrapped her arms around herself. She hated the fact that she was in male clothing instead of her gown. "I will save her." 0Rose shook her head moving towards the door of the captain's corridors. She went inside the corridors and closed the door taking a shaky breath.

Will took a soft breath knowing that this was hard for Rose to know her sister was out there in danger. But he couldn't help but feel concerned that Rose was doing this and putting herself in danger for no reason. He knew that Elizabeth wouldn't be happy if Rose ended up getting hurt trying to rescue her.

Jack looked over at Will. "She's certainly a bundle of laughs." He said, shaking his head. He couldn't understand why she was acting that way, but perhaps sooner or later she would open up to them as they sailed to their destination.

Will didn't reply to what Jack had said. He shook his head lightly knowing that Rose was sensitive with the whole thing.

Rose slowly walked around the captain's room and slowly went to the bed letting out a breath. Her hands went to her wavy blonde hair running through it nervously. 'You're doing the right thing.' She thought to herself. Her mind drifted off to why Elizabeth was taken by the pirates and how James looked rather heartbroken when he had seen her on the ship. Did she imagine it or was it truly real? Was his admitting that he wanted to propose to her truly real as well? If it was then she could understand why James looked heartbroken seeing her on the Interceptor and sailing away to go and save her sister.

She closed her eyes as she rested her head in her hands. Perhaps she wasn't seeing things. Perhaps James did love her and wanted to be engaged to her since what had happened with Cutler Beckett. Perhaps she would be able to have happiness, just like Elizabeth would be able to if Will and Elizabeth admitted feelings to one another.

This is the end of Chapter 6. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I tried my best with writing it. I added a bit more to this chapter and of course, I know Jack hasn't said much to Rose, but I promise there will be more scenes with Jack and Rose trying to get to know one another. I hope that I did an alright job with this chapter by adding extra details into this chapter. I'm trying to make the scenes much longer so it isn't fully following the movie, but it is proving difficult in doing so. But hopefully, everything will turn out alright in the end.
