NOTES: Welcome to my second Klonoa standalone fic. This one will be a wee bit different than the last one as it will be formatted in the style of diary entries, written by Klonoa's grandmother. Entries will be scattered throughout the timeline. It starts before Klonoa is born and are written as Klonoa grows older throughout the years.
To avoid confusion going forward, Lorna is Klonoa's mother, Solas is Klonoa's father, Novan is Klonoa's late Grandpa and Elise is Klonoa's Grandma as well as the author of the diary entries.
Thanks once again to mangogoober and Candi_Cindy for being my proof-readers! I hope you all enjoy this one! (Warning: it's gonna hurt lol)
(Also Spoilers for Door to Phantomile later down the line)
Dearest Diary,
This will be the first entry I write here. A few days ago my daughter bought me this diary as a little gift for me. She said that writing entries will be "good for my memory". I don't quite understand what she meant by this as my memory is rather adequate. At least I think it is, I don't know if it's normal to forget what you had for breakfast yesterday, but to be fair I am quite old.
Lorna definitely knows how to pick a good book, the book she got looks rather expensive. It's thick and quite rustic, but it's littered with such pretty patterns and it even has my name engraved on it. Bless her, she was always such a sweet girl. She makes me so proud.
I do wonder how much this diary cost her, I hope it wasn't too much. Then again, her and Solas do work hard on their agriculture, so perhaps they make a lot of money from that. I'll try and ask her if I remember.
I must say, I feel like a teenage girl again, writing in a diary. It makes me chuckle thinking about it. We'll have to wait and see if I'll write more entries here soon.
Tomorrow is another day,
Elise
