Chapter 9

Ainz's spent most of his time resting in his room, enjoying peace and quiet. The reality was that, while he was an Incubus, that didn't mean he had sex all day, seven days a week, at every hour. He could, definitely, but Ainz sometimes wanted just to be alone. Everyone deserves those famous "me time" kind of moment. Ainz was not an exception. The Supreme Being could feel overwhelmed, not only because of the amount of work he would sometimes have. But the expectations the individuals of Nazarick would have. Ainz was terrified of disappointing them, of not being a good boss.

Ainz used to be a simple salaryman with no discernible talent. He was just another poor being in a pool of hundreds of soulless workers who went on their day. Ignoring the worst of humanity during his times. But now, he was a leader. Ainz was powerful, capable of doing what most would only dream off. He had a large and growing harem of gorgeous women that would lay with him whenever he desired. He was now slowly building his empire, all thanks to the Guardians. And while it sounded incredible. It could still be underwhelming when he thought about it. Ainz sometimes, when he's alone. He felt small, against the world he once called home, and it was because he couldn't still believe it was happening. The more he thought about it, the bigger the picture became.

"And that's not the worst part."

In his mind, Ainz has already broken a company's sacred rule. Do not sleep with your coworkers; he has repeatedly violated it. He also wondered what would his dear friends think of him if they found out he had slept with their children. Ainz couldn't even fathom thinking of such a thing. He also spent his time alone, just brooding around, hoping they never found out.

"Ah, I'm still not getting used to this," Ainz sighed deeply, rolling on his big, comfortable bed. Uwah, this bed is fantastic.

Ainz's thoughts then traveled to a particular recent event. The meeting with the Potter family has gone as he expected. Perhaps, better than anything he previously thought. That family indeed has some unfinished problems, especially when it comes to their son, Harry Potter. Ainz thought that the guilt they felt reflected how they behaved with him. They spoiled him greatly, to the point that they were indeed at the same level Nazarick's fervent loyalty to him. It was strange and rather sad. Still, Ainz takes advantage of them, with no hint of guilt on his own.

Now, Ainz has an open window for how the Wizarding Worlds act and behaves when dealing with the unknown, especially muggles. Ainz chuckled, remembering how Lily Potter, the lovely mother of two, told him that most of the wizards don't really know about the muggle world. When he asked about details, she said to him that they, the wizard folk. They believed muggles were still behind them and didn't know how advanced the rest of the world was slowly becoming. That, in itself, was somewhat surprising.

"Just wait a few decades more."

Ainz muttered with a smile of sorts. Still, he was waiting to learn more, especially about the school of magic.

"I guess today will be the day."

Ainz sighed, noticing one of the homunculus maids quickly entering his room.

"Lord Ainz, Lord Demiurge is expecting to meet you."

"Mm, I see. Tell Demiurge I am coming."

Ainz told the maid, who bowed at him before leaving. He wondered what Demiurge would talk to him about. Still, he should do his best and keep up with whatever crazy plans he comes up with. That's why Ainz practiced so much during his solitude, pretending to think profoundly and crafting new poses and faces. Nevertheless, Ainz made sure to look his best, and while he was sure, he still seemed threateningly cute. He wanted to be the Overlord he was known for in the past.

Ainz sighed significantly and focused on the next task ahead of him. So, with that in mind, he opened the door of his room. He saw Demiurge and Albedo waiting for him with shining eyes and nervously walked toward them. Ainz glanced at them before sitting on his chair in the most dramatic way possible. It was clear to anyone that he was absolutely Pandora's Actor creator. Still, Ainz sat down and found himself please with his actions, especially since Demiurge and Albedo were looking at him with bright eyes of awe and amazement.

"Demiurge, what have you brought to me?" Ainz asked in his most cool voice possible.

"My lord, thank you for receiving me as such notice. If I have disturbed your rest, please forgive me!" Demiurge said first, bowing deeply.

"Don't worry, Demiurge; you did not disturb me at all," Ainz waved his guardian's concern off. "Now, please tell me what you have found."

"Yes!" Demiurge replied cheerfully. "As you remember, lord Ainz. We were discussing the way to get seats on the Wizengamot. Albedo has brought some of the ancient houses that were abandoned for centuries, and we decided to pick two."

"I see. Are these two houses worthy of our name?" Ainz asked.

Demiurge chuckled at those words as if he knew what his lord's plans were heading. Ainz would like to meet that person, too, since he has no idea what Demiurge was thinking.

"Do you know about Avalon? About King Arthur and the Round Table? The Court of Camelot?"

"Uh... y-yeah. Of course, I know!"

Ainz looked nervous as he tried to think deeply about the topic. He does recall those old myths about the sword Excalibur and whatnot. Back in Yggdrasil the were many events about King Arthur and things like that. But he only thought of them as nothing but tales. But now, in this world, those tales seem to be authentic. He shouldn't be surprised. Ainz has heard a great deal about Merlin. The Wizarding World seemed to hold him in high regard.

"So, he lived here. I wonder if the sword Excalibur is here too?" Ainz muttered, thinking about those histories of King Arthur and Merlin. It would be nice to find anything about them. Although, he doubted that the entire myth was wholly accurate.

Nevertheless, Ainz would like to have the sword. It didn't matter if it was only a piece of steel. He wanted it. Collecting was his passion. But he didn't notice Demiurge and Albedo's eyes as Ainz spoke out loud.

"Of course, you knew about it," Demiurge smiled, bringing Ainz back to the real world.

"Uh?" Ainz replied, confused.

"Albedo has told me that the Goblins held two vaults deep down. Only two vaults in all Gringotts are sealed by forsaken magic that even they can't break in. One belongs to a witch named Morgan Le Fay, King's Arthur half-sister. And another one to Merlin himself. But there's an interesting detail."

"What detail?" Ainz asked, trying to keep up with Demiurge.

"The Vault name is Pendragon. This is strange since King Arthur wasn't a wizard of sorts. It seems Merlin choose that name for some reason."

"Mm, that's quite interesting."

"Maybe they were secret lovers?" Albedo added, which Demiurge hummed.

"Perhaps, there's no registry about Merling having sired a child. Or at least one that is 100% legitimate. Also, the historical records of the British Museum of London seem to believe, for all of the documents and evidence, that King Arthur did have one child. But that he wasn't a wizard or anything. There's the secrecy surrounding that child, however. We don't know who his mother was or what happened to him. Interesting."

As his mind traveled far away, Demiurge muttered in the many possibilities and secrecies surrounding that child.

"Demiurge, what about these two vaults? Do we know what they held?" Ainz asked.

"So far, we don't, while I believe they perhaps held an immense treasure. It's not what we are aiming for. It's the titles we'll get when claiming them."

"Oh, titles, eh? What kind of titles?" Ainz asked, intrigued.

"The Merlin's vault, the Pendragon Vault, holds the title of Prince of Enchanters and Prince of Britannia. While I believe the name Britannia was only kept because of its meanings and history. It doesn't change what it means to the Wizarding World. With this title, my lord. The Nazarick family will be considered Royalty and you a prince."

Demiurge smiled as Ainz's eyes seemed stunned by those declarations.

"That's quite the title," Ainz muttered softly.

"My love, a prince~?" Albedo squealed softly, holding a bright smile. "Although, I believe the title of a supreme being is better."

Ainz coughed, returning to the conversation.

"Uh, yeah, what does it mean in the context of the Wizengamot?" Ainz then asked, nervously hearing Demiurge's chuckles.

"The Wizengamot of now serves as a legislative body of the Ministry of Magic. Every law has to either come from there or pass there. No middle ground. And while it's older than the Ministry of Magic. The reason for its existence seems to be linked to the medieval Wizards' Council. Back then, noble houses would put forward rules of sorts. Laws agreed by all the most powerful noble houses of its time."

Ainz nodded slowly, finding himself in a better mood than before. He was following Demiurge's history lesson so far without problem. However, something inside him believed things were going to turn sour soon because it was Demiurge, the one telling him those things.

"I doubt it was as easy as it sounds," Ainz added in disbelief.

"Ha!" Demiurge chuckled loudly. "It wasn't. Those nobles' houses would fight each other for power. So, a system was put in place to keep things balanced out. Noble Houses were the lowest in the hierarchy, with only one seat on their hands."

Ainz nodded, remembering what he heard from the Potter lord. "A seat is a vote, right?"

"Exactly, my lord. Then, there are the Ancient Noble Houses, which constitute the majority in the Wizengamot. They have two seats. And at the top, or closer to the top," Demiurge chuckled at his little hidden joke. "You have the Noble and Most Ancient Houses. There are now fewer, but they still hold three seats each."

"I can see where this is going," Ainz said. "Mm, if the Noble and Most Ancient Houses were fewer, doesn't it make the great number of noble houses bad for them?"

Demiurge then let smiled secretly. "They were the ones who founded the Wizengamot for a reason. They immediately put laws that would protect them."

"Of course, you can't let the lowly house take away your power by majority vote," Albedo scoffed.

"I could spend hours telling you about the many laws they put, but it would take too long. Those houses still hold so much power proving how clever they were doing those ancient decrees. While even now. The Minister of Magic has authority over some rules and legislation. At the end of the day, the Wizengamot is ruled by the power of vote seat, aristocracy, nobility, factions, and more importantly, gold."

Ainz leaned back in his seat, feeling as if he had heard a tale old as time. It was always the same. It didn't matter the world he was in. Corruption, nepotism, and more were still there. Yet, he couldn't truly feel sad about it. Humans were like that. He knows it because he was one. Still, Ainz pondered about what he could do with this. But, he realized that Demiurge may already have done something to fix his worries.

"You say those Noble and Most Ancient Houses were almost at the top. Which one is at the top?" Ainz asked as his green eyes shined brightly.

"There are two steps more above them. The Great and Honorable Ancient Houses. There are only eight of them, and they are extinct. Their more distant relatives are still alive, but they are so far removed from the main line they have no chance ever to claim their titles."

Ainz hummed deeply. Again, he thought of what he had read and learned of the Wizarding World. Blood was essential when it came down to magic and family. And adding the fact that they seem to hold everything in a sort of aristocratic society. It was rare to hear that those distant relatives couldn't claim those ancient titles. It must be for something else. I remember when that woman with red hair told me that magic was alive and could choose who was worthy, especially when it comes down to family enchantments. Could it be that the magic of those ancient families saw their distant relatives as not deserving of their lineage and title? Ainz thought deeply.

"You're saying this for some reason. But why do I think you're aiming higher than those houses?" Ainz said, and it seems he hit right in the point."

"As expected! You saw right trough!" Demiurge exclaimed, making Ainz nervous.

"Of course, my beloved saw your plan, Demiurge," Albedo added, like a schoolgirl in love.

"Now, now, Demiurge, you're praising me too much," Ainz nervously waved it off. "Please continue. Why do these two houses exist? What do they hold so much power in the Wizengamot?"

"Yes, of course," Demiurge replied. "The reasoning for their existence was that the Wizard council of the time thought they should follow the rule of monarchy."

"Monarchy? I didn't know there was a Wizarding king," Ainz expressed, confused.

"I believe that the introduction of such a thing was made during the early days of the Wizard Council, right, Demiurge?" Albedo asked, to which Demiurge nodded.

"Exactly, it never came to fruition until much later for many reasons. It wasn't until the full creation of the Wizengamot and the British Minister of Magic that it happened."

"The Wizards choose a king?" Ainz asked, wanting to hear more.

"They don't have one, technically speaking. The British Minister of Magic and the Wizengamot are still part of Great Britain's domain, and only the King or Queen England could be the monarch of the islands. Although, they would like to ignore it. So, they created a title that would give them a bit of independence. But they couldn't name it king or queen. So, a prince was put in forward. Yet, they couldn't choose who would be worthy of such a label, especially since every noble family wanted it, creating quite a conflict."

"A war?" Ainz asked.

"Not at that scale, but it was on the level of a small civil war. It was stopped when Merlin took charge of the title that the conflict stopped."

"And he became the Prince of Enchanters and Prince of Britannia," Ainz added, finally understanding the name.

"Exactly," Demiurge smiled.

"He must have been quite old by that point," Albedo added. "A few hundred years at best. I didn't know wizards and witches could live such a long life," Albedo said, amused.

"He lived to see the creation of the British Minister of Magic and the Wizengamot, so yeah. He was very ancient by that point. But, I digress," Demiurge chuckled before returning to the point. "if we claim that tile, the Nazarick family would be the most powerful in the world. We could claim to be direct descendants of Merlin and King Arthur."

"And since there are no reports of Merlin having children. We could just claim he kept his family secret or something along the lines. Or that King Arthur's child wed Merlin's secret daughter or anything we wanted to say to them," Albedo added with a smile of her own.

"I get it," Ainz added, humming deeply. "What about the Le Fay family?"

"About that family, I haven't found much information," Demiurge answered with shame in his voice. "Only that Morgan Le Fay was Queen of Avalon and was defeated by Merlin, claiming the title, and nothing more is said about it."

Ainz realized that a lot was missing between those two people. As if someone

"I see, but nevertheless, we are going to take it. Perhaps we could find out more about what happened then," Ainz replied, slowly standing up. "I think we should visit our dear Goblin's friend."

Ainz walked in the dark dungeons with Albedo, Sebas, and Demiurge. The Goblins knew how to keep quiet, especially watching those powerful creatures before them. But, the Goblins knew what would await them if Ainz claimed those two ancient titles. That's why they were excited about what would happen. The goblins could almost smell the gold flowing once it fell in the right hands.

The deepest place in Gringotts was a mysterious and remote location for everyone. Even the goblins themselves. Only the Goblin King or his must-trusted emissaries were allowed to travel this far down. And even if an intruder could evade the hundreds of magical traps. Mythical dark creatures, endless mazes with no end, and ancient dragons waiting to destroy any intruder. They'll find out nothing but darkness and emptiness. Only a Goblin with the Goblin King's permission could open the last defenses before reaching far below. It took quite a while before they reached their destination. And meanwhile, Ainz has noted every strange creature he discovered down below.

Ainz has made sure to tell Aura about the creatures there. He wanted to experiment with those beasts and see what he could gain from them.

But what made Ainz's interest peak was two large doors made out of metal in each corner of a large and dark hall.

"Well, this is quite the large entrance," Ainz said, staring at the strange letters on the door. They were encrypted on the door's wall and around it. Odd, multicolored stones seemed to respond to their approach.

"Beware, milord," Steelclaw said. "Those are ancient runes, created by Merlin himself."

"Oh! Runes, eh?" Ainz replied with an excited tone of voice. I would like to know more about runes here. Ainz smiled, nodding to Albedo, who seemed to know what he was thinking.

"I'll make sure to get the information about runes," Albedo said.

"Thank you, Albedo," Ainz replied, as Albedo beamed brightly, like a proud wife.

"So, this is the Pendragon vault?" Ainz asked.

"Yes, and next to it is the Le Fay vault. As you can see, those runes protect the entrance."

"Has no one tried to unlock this door before?" Ainz questioned.

"Only once, the person told us he was Merlin's heir and demanded us to let him claim his ancient vault. We let him and guided him, and once he touched the door. His body was engulfed with fire, and he died. It was hilarious," the goblin said with a nasty grin.

Ainz pulled out a strange key of sorts and let a soft whine. I can only use this seven times. A shame, but I think it would be worth it.

Ainz pointed the keystone to the door, and the runes and everything surrounding the door glittered in gold. Steel claw gasped at the door. He backed away slightly out of fear. But noticed that no one else moved away. They seemed just to stand there, unmoving, with no fear in their eyes or body. Then, the door opened in a very anticlimactic way. But soon enough, Ainz let a cute squeal of joy watching the mountains of gold.

"Whoa! Wonderful!" Ainz exclaimed happily. "Albedo, tell Pandora's Actor that we will move some gold back to Nazarick and some artifacts."

"Of course, my lord!"

Ainz smiled sincerely at the giant vault and felt incredibly happy with his discovery. "Now, mister Steel claw, would it be necessary for me to do something else?"

Steel claw gulped but didn't change the grin on his face. "A few things, only paperwork. But you'll find out once the next time the Wizengamot start. You will only need to sit on the Pendragon seat, which will activate. However, Merlin's staff is another symbol you'll need; no one would doubt your claim if you have it with you."

"Mm, Merlin's staff. I don't see it anywhere else," Ainz hummed. "Let's search for it."

The guardians looked around the many piles of gold and expensive jewelry but found nothing. Even, Ainz looked around and saw nothing extraordinary. Some strange objects here and there, but nothing that screamed magically powerful. At least nothing they would consider powerful. Still, Ainz was capable of sniffing out secrets.

"Umuh, this is strange," Ainz muttered.

He glanced around and saw nothing but precious stones and diamond sculptures. Giant mountains of gold, with bars of silver and so much more, things it would make anyone lose their mind. Yet, it was only that.

"There's nothing more here, lord Ainz," Demiurge said as he thought deeply. "No traps, no illusions, nothing but this gold," Demiurge added, thinking that there was a reason why this vault, in particular, was in such a state.

"Maybe, this Merlin didn't have anything else?" Albedo added.

"Or perhaps, these two vaults hold a deeper secret?" Demiurge replied.

"Mm, then let's open the Le Fay vault," Ainz spoke as he approached the other door.

Now that Ainz was staring closely, he noticed how different the Le Fay vault entrance was. It looked dreary and dark. Like a chained door holding something dangerous in. Very interesting.

Ainz brought his keystone and pointed to the vault door, just like before. One of the seven crystals burst, opening the door for him. But when it did, there were no mountains of gold or luxurious sculptures of diamonds. But just a long and dark staircase going down.

"Mm, it could be dangerous, interesting," Ainz muttered. "There could be magical traps down there or dangerous enemies. Albedo, go first and use your abilities to protect me. Sebas, Demiurge, be prepared for anything we could face down there."

"Yes!" They replied at the same time before slowly going down.

They went down, deep in the darkness, wondering what kind of surprises they would meet but to Ainz's surprise and everyone's. They came to yet another door. However, the gate was different from the first one. This one had chains all over. Clearly, with the number of runes on the door, someone truly wanted to keep people away from it. Ainz hummed, he looked at his keystone item, but he honestly didn't want to use it again. So, he wondered what he could do.

"Albedo, could you?" Ainz asked, and Albedo just smiled brightly.

The succubus approached the door and scoffed.

"You should be wary, my lady. You don't know what kind of curse those chains hold," Steel claw said. "That iron is cursed."

"Oh, truly? How do you know?" Ainz asked, intrigued.

"The color and the smell. You can see the marks on the chains. That's old Celtic language. The runes are complex, and the lock holding it together is made of Blood Ingot. You need to be a powerful Necromancer to make just one bar. And incredible sadistic, since you need the blood of innocent people. Whoever created this was magically powerful."

Steel Claw hissed, not liking what he was watching. He knows now why few people were allowed this deep. But Steel Claw believes no one besides the king knew what was behind the door. The goblin was worried.

Ainz was now more interested in those Runes and the Blood Ingot. He should research more about it later, but currently. Ainz would like to know what was behind the enigmatic door.

"Mm, that sounds very interesting. Albedo, can you open it?"

Albedo was highly offended by the question. Albedo just grabbed the chain, and soon her passive skill activated. "Mmph! It seems there was a curse after all." Albedo scoffed, waving whatever curse was in those dark chains.

Albedo's resistances were so high that those curses weren't simply strong enough to cause problems to a level of 100 NPC. The goblin gasped, watching Albedo grab and break those chains like nothing as if they were pieces of bread. Ainz sighed, wondering if it was easier to jump force their way in. He already used his keystone item, so there's no point in crying.

"Good job, Albedo," Ainz said while Albedo smiled proudly at him.

Then, the succubus pushed the door open with just her pure brute force. Ainz had to control his lust since he found incredibly attractive the way Albedo opened that giant stone door with her bare hands. Everyone saw what was inside the room.

It was a sort of showroom or gallery. It was large, and they saw something they didn't expect in the middle. There, in the center of the large chamber. They saw someone chained, surrounded by a sphere of light.

"Well, it seems that we have found Merlin's staff," Ainz claimed, watching how the staff was the one producing the strange dome of light. "Fascinating magic. I wonder what kind of spell that is?" Ainz asked, strolling to the center of the chamber. However, before he reached the staff, a sudden voice emerged. It came from the person chained to the ground behind the magic sphere.

"Don't touch it, boy. You'll die."

Ainz then glanced at the person inside the dome and saw a woman with long dark violet hair and deep purple eyes. She seems to be around the same age as Albedo. The same facial qualities of a beautiful woman in her prime and with a body made to be worshipped. Yet, her face seemed to hold quite the resentment and guilt. The black chains were on her arms and legs, and she was bounded to that place. Ainz tilted his head, wondering who that person may be.

"I don't know who you are or how you were able to pass that fool protection. However, I advise you to leave," the woman growled.

"Mm, who are you?" Ainz asked.

The woman scoffed at him. "Foolish girl... uh," the woman stopped before glaring at Ainz for a few seconds. "Boy, foolish boy!"

"Everyone knew my name before! I was... still am the greatest Dark Witch in existence! The most powerful witch in all history!" She yelled, trying to stand up, but the magic dome forced her down, and when it did. The woman let a whine of pain before Albedo mocked her.

"So powerful," Albedo scoffed.

"If I was free, I could shut your mouth," the woman sneered at her. "You would be begging for mercy!"

"Mmph! I highly doubted."

"You haven't answered me. Who are you?" Ainz asked again.

The woman then sneered at Ainz, but at the same, she seemed to be incredible please to speak to someone else. She also looked rather anxious. Yet, the beautiful woman raised her head proudly, showing strange tattoos around her forehead, while her peculiar robe was battered after many centuries in the dark and cold underground prison. It was clear that women used to be incredibly important.

"I am the Queen of Avalon! The Fairy Enchantress! Morgan Le Fay!" She exclaimed loudly, but then she let a squeal of pain while kneeling on the ground. The pain of her chains and how much Merlin's magic seems to affect her.

"Uh, I thought you were dead," Ainz expressed, baffled.

"Ha! Dead is a concept made for the living!"

That doesn't make sense, but whatever. Ainz thought while staring at the girl, who seemed too tired to talk. Or that her vocal cords weren't used to speak at all. Morgan coughed painfully but kept on an arrogant glare on her face.

"I, who walked across the unknown lands of Britannia, who discovered the ways to obtain true immortality! I, the greatest of all sorcerers, who challenge the gods and rules of magic known to men!" Morgan exclaimed loudly while coughing at the same time. "Brought forth true knowledge of what Necromancy is! No one can't compare to me! Dead, I triumphed over it a thousand times!"

"Mm, interesting," Ainz simply replied, much to Morgan's shock.

"Interesting...? Interesting?!" Morgan squealed angrily, which was a funny reaction to Ainz if he could admit it. "I have never hit little boys! But If I could, I would have taught you a lesson!"

"Mm, sure," Ainz replied lazily.

"You don't know; who am I?! Has the world forgotten the great witch, Morgan Le Fay?!"

Ainz tilted his head, impressed by it. He wanted to know more about that woman's supposed immortality.

"Yes, you already told me, very Interesting, so, how did you end up here?" Ainz asked nonchalantly.

"Oh, sure... well, let me tell you is a long history... wait! Why am I telling you this?!"

"I don't know. I am curious."

Morgan hissed, trying to regain focus, but it had been long since she talked to someone. But, if she was honest. There's something in that kid, on those people, that she couldn't put her finger on. They were all extraordinary in the way they walked and looked. Morgan could feel it, even though she couldn't use her magic to detect their power. The Queen of Avalon felt uneasy.

"First, how did you get here? That fool made it impossible for anyone to get here. He... he gave his life to achieve the perfect prison."

Morgan whispered, hiding a guilty voice.

"He made this prison with his life?" Ainz asked, intrigued. "Merlin?"

"Yes, he," Morgan chuckled painfully. "You see these chains? These aren't just chains. These are magic cancellation chains. They can only be made by Ancient Celtic chant, and these shackles are made of Blood Ingot."

Ainz was noting everything in his mind. The woman mentioned that those chains could cancel magic was a big interest point. He wanted to know more about that lost magic that he hasn't read anything about in all those books he bought.

"Mm, you need innocent blood to make them? That's what the goblin told us."

Morgan laughed at Ainz, which frowned. "Not innocent blood. Otherwise, every pathetic dark wizard would do these mighty magical chains capable of stopping the magic flow in a wizard or witch. They are that powerful to stop even me."

Ainz hummed while Albedo rolled her eyes. Demiurge and Sebas seemed to be exploring the chamber, not truly bothering to speak with that woman. Demiurge was hearing everything, but he was trying to find out if there was some secret hiding or a trap.

"Can you tell me more?" Ainz asked, intrigued, and Morgan chuckled painfully.

"Woes to my life now. It's been so long since I had a conversation with someone. I am giving classes to a child," Morgan muttered, and her voice was filled with self-deprecation.

Ainz looked around and noticed Demiurge and Sebas giving him a clear sign that the room was empty. There was nothing more than what was in front of him. Now, Ainz was wondering what he could do. He could leave the woman be, alone and just take the staff. However, Morgan Le Fay was a fountain of knowledge. Maybe, Ainz could take her to Nazarick and read her mind. Open her head and see what secrets she holds. Or perhaps, he could do something more. Ainz thought profoundly and then glanced at the woman on her knees chained down. She's pretty tempting, just like Albedo. Oh, no, I am thinking with my other head. Ainz groaned deeply.

"If I set you free, you'll own me something. Won't you?"

"Set me free?" Morgan said, baffled by the kid's words. "Child, you can't set me free. Haven't you heard what I just said? These runes were made by Merlin himself! Do you see these shackles?! They are made by using Unicorn blood, the soul of a willing Dragon, and Merlin's life essence! He built this prison just for me! No one can destroy them! No one! He punished my sin of immortality by forcing me to live here until the end of times!"

Morgan cried loudly, showing centuries of regret in her broken voice. Yet, Ainz wasn't too bothered by it. He just approached the staff and looked at it. Merlin's staff was white with a strange crystal on top. Nothing too fancy or extraordinary. But it would do the work.

"Sorry, my dear. I am not asking for your permission."

Morgan then stared at the child, who pointed his finger at the staff responsible for creating the magic shield around her. Then, she heard him whisper some unknown words to her, but when he did. Merlin's staff broke in two, shocking Morgan.

"What...?" She whispered, stunned.

"Mm, I didn't think it would break, shame," Ainz whispered, picking what was left of the staff. "We'll have to ask Mare to fix it."

"I'll tell him, milord," Demiurge replied.

"Albedo freed her. She will be useful to us."

Albedo nodded as she approached the woman, still in shock. Morgan lay there, looking at the gorgeous succubus, baffled by everything.

"What... are you doing?" Morgan asked, bewildered.

Albedo didn't reply, just to grab the shackles and broken, like nothing. The Queen of Avalon touched her wrist. After centuries in chains, they were finally free. She could feel her magic once again coming to her. Yet, she still couldn't comprehend what was taking place. She looked around and squeezed her eyes, believing she was hallucinating again.

"This... this can't be real," Morgan whispered. "It can't be."

"The runes were made by him...! Merlin! My greatest enemies! The most powerful wizard of our times! You-You can't simply overpower his spells... it's not possible! You can't break these things by simply picking them up and shattering them! No! I... I refuse to believe it!"

Morgan muttered to herself, over and over again. "This is a dream... yes, this is one of his tricks!"

"You old fool! I shall never fall into these mind tricks of yours!" Morgan yelled to no one in particular. "I still have my consciousness! I am not mad!"

Ainz and the rest just looked at the woman slowly drifting apart. "She's... not well."

"Mm, centuries of being alone can do that to you, I believe," Demiurge said.

"We should help her?" Sebas asked. "If she's going to be an asset, we should help her mind, lord Ainz."

"No, I think, this way, it would be easy for us to control. Perhaps, it would make torture easier," Albedo added hissingly.

"Wait, let's first see if she could willingly help us... after all, we came here for treasures and tools. It would be better if she's loyal to us by letting her free," Ainz said, watching the woman battling her inner demons. "If not... well, I think we could play with her mind, no?"

"It can't be real... It can't... no, no!"

She was losing her mind. All those times, Morgan fought him. Those long battles where she would use all of her power on Merlin. They would end up destroying whatever was in front of them. But now, she was staring at a group of people she couldn't figure out. Morgan just witnessed a child who simply broke Merlin's shield and staff. And a woman who broke the shackles made out of Blood Ingot without any problem. Morgan had seen firsthand what happened when someone touched Blood Ingot. They burn alive, and their bodies rot immediately. But that woman looked fine. In fact, Albedo looked annoyed more than anything.

"This is not a dream," Ainz said, earning Morgan's attention.

"Who... are you?"

Ainz then looked at the woman and smiled. "I am... a supreme being." He said as he took his ring off. Morgan would learn a precious lesson that day. The world she knew was long gone. And now, she was nothing but a tiny piece of dust in a new world.
